I just love the look of this bra! I can't remember having a non-padded lacy bra this pretty since I outgrew f-cup. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> I had some trouble finding the right strap-band adjustment combo, so for a couple of horrible days I thought this bra might not fit me after all, which would make the EM Sm-model unsuitable for me. But, patience pays off, I found the right combination.
Pros: - Pretty, pretty, pretty! - really soft lace, and the non-lacey parts are silkier than the powermesh EM usually uses - the Sm shape is so very nicely understatedly perky
Cons: - The band is ...on the loose side, I have on last hook, so I have a sinking feeling I need to get it shortened at some point when it has stretched with wear - the fabric on the non-lacey parts (the stretchy part of the band on the sides and back) is really soft, read: very stretchy. EM could have put a bit sturdier powermesh underneath as this fabric has really much "give" to it Read more 71 more words
I absolutely love Miss Malinka! Although, I have noticed that of the 3 SM's I have (Trefl, Bezyk, and Malinka) - they all fit *slightly* different. The Trefl gives the most rounded overall shape, and is my favorite. The Bezyk I noticed had some "tightness" on the inside of my cleavage - when looking down at my boobs, it would look kind of like this: ( \ / )
However, this wasn't noticeable under a shirt, and after wearing this bra for a while, it does seem to have stretched/relaxed a bit and that effect isn't as pronounced.
The Malinka doesn't have any weird shape issues, but isn't quite as perfectly round as my Trefl. This one definitely collects the bust along the sides and sends it shooting forward! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Also, the matching bottoms for this bra are to die for - I'm a sucker for the ruffles https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
Did you find that the Malinka was shallower than the Trefl and Bezyk? The Trefl and Bezyk are awesome on me, so I was excited for the Malinka, but it didn't fit at all! I had the orange in a glass issue at the bottom, leaving a ton of empty space. I just want to know if this was a sewing mistake or if it's just the cut of the bra.
When I saw the new Satine and Szykus released, I knew I had to have both (every girl needs a padded black/nude bra, right??) in the CHP cut, as I've found it works perfectly for me! So I spent the extra coin, and ordered them both as CHP. This Szykus fits like a dream! So ridiculously comfortable...I don't even want to take it off to measure it! haha
It fits exactly like I expected - the band is snug, but comfortable. Everything on it is soft fabric, so there is no chafing. The straps could maybe be a teensy bit more narrow, but they're not so wide as to cause any issues. This bra gives me the same amazing shape as my CHP Mak and Koktajl. Absolutely love it!
Originally I found this bra in 75HH (it had already been discontinued on the website) and figured since it was a sistersize, that I'd give it a try. When I got the 75HH, it didn't fit perfect (band was a bit big) but I was loath to lose it as it's SUCH a gorgeous bra! I recently managed to find the same one in 70J - it turned out to be an absolutely perfect fit! This bra puts my girls "front and center" and firmly holds them there - and the color is to die for! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
The lace on the Bezyk is not quite as stretchy as that on the SM Trefl (which I have in 70J as well). I noticed with this one that the lace on the tops of the cups was a bit more "open", and not snug against my breast tissue like it is on the Trefl.
Overall though, this bra does fit! I think it's absolutely gorgeous - what right does a nude bra have looking this fabulous? https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" />
The wires are narrow, with lots of projection, as is to be expected with an Ewa bra. The band fits true to size. Another thing I love about the Ewa bras is that the straps don't feel like they're trying to saw my arms off - this one is no different - I can wear it all day, and experience no rubbing/chaffing at the armpits. It's a very comfortable and functional bra! Gives the same wonderful rounded shape as my Trefl https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
Well, everything about this bra FEELS like it fits pretty well. However, after I look at my pictures, it looks like I might actually need a cup or two larger and maybe a band size smaller. Oh well! I am pleased with how this one fits so far, and the size was available in the drop-down menu (meaning no special order and no extra fees), so I'm okay with it.
The band....it's pretty stretchy. I didn't realize how much so at first. I could probably fasten it on the last set of hooks (it's got 4 rows woo woo!) But, I'm learning that ...just because I CAN make it tighter/smaller doesn't necessarily mean I SHOULD. I have come to accept that I am all about comfort, and if I have to sacrifice a teeny tiny bit of support, then I'm okay with that. As of right now, the band is very comfy, and as it stretches, I'll just wear it on tighter hooks.
The straps....they are plenty wide enough and fully adjustable. Sure, I wish they were not so far apart, but that's the story of my life. However, I have yet to have them fall off of my shoulders, so that's a definite plus.
The wires....whoa, the most narrow wires I've ever experienced! I'd probably like it if the wires were just a tad bit wider, but I'm not finding any discomfort. It's really nice to not feel like my boobs are coming from under my arms and my back, because they DON'T.
The cups....J cup with only one single layer of fabric! Yes, you heard me! It feels sort of like a stretch lace, so it seems very forgiving (hence why I'm able to squeeze into this bra that is probably too small.)
The shape....fantastic! I really feel like it looks better in real life than what the pics represent, but oh well. It's everything EM is known for -- upfront, rounded, and uplifted shape. The part I love the most is the definite uplift, which is more than what I've experienced in her HP and CHP styles. I have had stretch marks on my boobs ever since I was 10 or 11 years old, and I imagine it is from puberty coming on strong (never wore a training bra -- went straight to a D cup.) This bra gives enough uplift that I don't notice the stretch marks, and that makes it a winner in my book. There are very few bras that I have ever tried that have accomplished this feat. I'm not sure if it would be as great in a larger size, which is why I'm just going to stick with this size when I order another one (also, I'm hoping to lose about 10-15 pounds.)
Comfort.....A+. It just feels amazing and I don't even feel the need to put on my soft cup bra after I get home from wearing it all day. I am sick and tired of bras that have a break-in period. I can't even count the number of bras I've tried in the last few months that just felt like torture, yet I was assured by others, "It will feel better after a few wears and washes." I want a bra that feels good from Day 1, and this bra does that. Actually, all EM bras seem to be like that, which is what has made me a convert. Life's too short to wear a bra that hurts. Tagging alisa and Vee....thought this might interest you both! :)
Wow you look great in that bra <3 thanks for letting me know :) Bummer about the band being stretchy though... (for those of us who like to get away with a non custom made 70 band size)
Yeah, I thought of you when I realized that. My ribcage is a tiny bit larger than yours, so it doesn't bother me quite as bad as it probably would you. But, I wanted you to see everything else about it! :)
Is 78cm / 31inch your tight, supertight or loose measurement? I think were proably at the same, I have now 77cm / 30.5inch in my profile because that is what feels comfy :)
Wow *much* better than the Pl's! I'd probably take 65K for myself and shorten the straps a bit as I usually do excessively :) But I really like the fit of this as it is. I'm waiting to be tempted by lighter colors though. Thanks for the poke ^^
alisa That's my "average" measurement of the absolute tightest and loosest I could get. I figured that was the best way to go. :-)
Vee, yes, much better than Pls! I'm still going to try to get a proper sized plunge since this still shows under certain v-necks. But yes, I'm not completely spilling out of this one!
I like black for everyday use, but I can't wait for more colors as well. 65K would probably be good for you. If I do a really good job swooping and scooping, I kinda regret not getting a 70JJ or 70K. Oh well! More motivation to lose weight, right? Plus, I feel like my boobs look like Curvy Wordy's from the aerial view for the first time ever in this bra (my sagged, full on bottom boobs never look like that haha.)
If it comes out in a light color, I'm thinking about getting myself one... thought I don't want to buy more bras :D BumbleBean yes , I used my average measurement too :) Also it is individual what band sizes fit you, I can wear bands from 30 to 34, depending on bra.
Edyta said there were supposed to release new spring sm line soon, I really don't need another dark bra :/ BumbleBean I think you are gaining upper fullnes :) Had any migration lately? :)
alisa , yes, I agree that it's just individual as to what bands fit someone. I'm slowly learning that the number doesn't always guarantee fit (as I'm sure you have as well after dealing with those Arizas....geez! lol) I'm just trying to go by what feels comfortable.
Vee, that is great to hear that more colors may be coming soon! I've only had this bra a few days, but I really, REALLY like it. I really think you and alisa may like it as well since you are both big fans of the stretch lace of the Andorra and the Jasmine. I never had a properly fitting Andorra, and the Jasmine just didn't end up working for me due to the size I got, but I feel this bra is everything I wanted in both of those. This isn't quite as stretchy, but there is an element of stretch and the top is a little open, so I think it would accommodate both of your top volume well. No boobs of steel happening here, but it is just so darn comfy that I don't care.
Yes, I do think I have had some migration! Before, I thought I was low on the chest, but now I'm convinced that I am sagged from high on chest (from 25+ years of wearing terrible bras, I'm sure!) I've also been re-evaluating how I scoop and swoop because I noticed in the last couple of weeks that I have had more fat below my bra band on my back....has that happened to either of you? I haven't gained weight or anything, either. Now I'm making an effort to scooop and smooth that area out more, and I've noticed a difference in just a couple of days (smoother back but fuller boobs.)
I had no idea trefl was stretch o.O Aaaargh you tempt me sooo....
As for the scooping, I know what you mean, nowadays I say I scoop from my ass because of the same problem you address. :) I think it's worst with thin bands like cleos, at least on me. Braologie would never do that to you :sigh:
Vee: Now, don't get too excited -- it's not super stretchy like Andorra or Jasmine, but it does allow more flexibility than just your regular bra fabric. It's not stiff lace by any means. With that being said, however, I am going to eat my words and order a 70JJ next time (even though I'm able to make this one work just fine.) Deep down, I know I should probably get a 65K, but I'd much rather have the band a little on the loose side than too tight (since I'm in between 30 and 32.) Plus, it's much less hassle for ordering. ;-)
Ooh....I didn't even think about the band fat being caused by wearing Cleo. I've been trying to make peace with my Zia, so I have been wearing it a lot (love how it looks, but I can't wait to rip it off at the end of the day.) Scoop from your ass....lol! Too funny.
I have a Braologie Lacie on its way to me, so I'm interested to see how that works out as well.
BumbleBean,Sm Trefl has stretchy lace? o.O It just goes back to my wishlist. I don't mind if the lace is not as stretchy as on Jasmine because that will mean less jiggling. I hope they bring it out in some vintage-y pastels or just any light color :) Oh and I'm curious how the Lacie will fit you, since we are size twins:)
About Ariza, the size inconsistency of the band seems to be happening from a size JJ-cup and up, that nude Ariza I got had a much bigger band and the violet mix in 32JJ now too! Annoying. However I gained a bit of cup volume so at least the cups fit & the band will when I take the gore in.
Ok girls, I just got in another Sm Trefl and a S Porcelanka in 70JJ. I REALLY could have taken a 70K in the S, but the 70JJ will definitely do just fine for now. The 70JJ in the Sm works pretty well, but again, it's more forgiving than a padded bra like the S.
Just wanted to let you know since you were each thinking about eventually ordering these and the sizes (they're awesome, btw!) :D
Let me know when you add pictures :)) I have a SM Bezyk on the way. I hope it arrives tomorrow. I got 70K because I didn't want to bother with a custom order. I feared it might be a bit small on me but now I think it might fit just right :))
Ok, just added pics to both! :-)
I'm really glad you ordered a 70K. I think that will fit you great, and I hope you love it as much as I do. Next time I order from them, I'm going to most likely get 70K as well. I think I've just been in denial about going forward in the alphabet, haha. ;-)
This bra is BEAUTIFUL! It is just the nicest blue-gray color with a subtle raised floral pattern. The materials are of very high quality and everything just feels so soft.
When I first put this bra on, I felt like I had died and gone to bra heaven. This is, without a doubt, the most comfortable bra that has ever been on my body. I felt like I was getting a warm hug from someone made of memory foam. This bra makes my Panache Jasmine feel like a torture device in comparison.
The fit is pretty good, but not perfect. First, the band is ...too big. I have been wearing 32 bands for a while, but am slowly realizing that I probably need 30 bands more times than not. The straps are too far apart, but they are made of such comfy material that they don't bother me much (they feel almost spongy, for lack of a better word.) The straps aren't fully adjustable, either, which is kind of a bummer. I felt like I could get a much better shape from the top if I were able to adjust the straps a bit more.
The wires seem to be in a good spot on my body (meaning the width and height are good.) I like how the cups seem to immediately allow depth from the bottom of the cup instead of slowing tapering out like many other bras do; I think I need that depth at the bottom since I am so bottom heavy.
The shape is great. I definitely feel like I have "round apple" boobs! I love the upflift and projection as well. The seams do show under a t-shirt, but I imagine they wouldn't be as noticeable under other fabrics.
I had a little bit of quadboob in this bra, but I actually think it's due to my soft boobs flowing over instead of the cup depth. I have very soft, bottom heavy boobs, so half cups are not an ideal style for me. However, I am ignoring this fact and will wear this bra anyway. It is very pretty, extremely comfortable, and occasionally I like to wear clothing that would require a half cup bra (plus my fiance likes how it looks on me.)
All in all, I think I am an Ewa convert! I get what all the fuss is about now. I definitely want to try other styles! Read more 310 more words
I love this bra. It fits great and the straps are so cute. I love the extra padding on the shoulder straps and I love the shape. It’s perfect for me as most brands are not nearly projected enough for me. It is much stiffer though having a handmade well constructed bra compared to day curvy Kate. This bra is no where near as stretchy.
Super-comfy bra that does not fit me. The color is really great: nice and bright, vaguely 80s approach. It won't disappear under anyone's thin, light clothing but that's not why I wanted this!
The band is too big, and the cups are too small. The cups are not projected enough at the wire, either, but that is expected for padded bras like this one. The padding is slightly thicker than expected, like 2 layers of the thin one that Freya uses for their padded styles.
The bra provides great uplift and cleavage. It has the vibe of a half cup even though it is a balconette. It is low cut. I feel secure enough for everyday life in it, and know I won't fall out even though it is not a large enough cup for me. I think I can run in it too, but it would show that the bra is not that supportive.
I love the colors of this bra. The combination of turquoise and purple is so pretty. The lace has a white cotton back (it looks nude in some of my photos but is white). I also love the little flowers on the sliding clips.
Edit: The color from the straps runs when wet, and stains the rest of the bra.
Fitwise, I've realized this is too shallow for me, and now too small, since I gave gained a bit of weight. There us also horrible digging at the bottom of the gore, which all of my EM bras have. I'm not sure what causes this, maybe the band is too tight.
My shape: full on bottom, soft tissue, narrow shoulders/roots. Special thanks to MamaPagan for sending me this bra (and many others!) to try on! Appearance and fit: Such a gorgeous bra! It's very romantic, with a beige padded cup covered with royal blue lace. There's a little charm at the gore that matches, as well. Inside of the cups, there are removable cookies, which helps with asymmetry. The cups are constructed with three parts, two meeting at a seam in the middle, and one horizontal across the top. Along the horizontal seam there is a matching blue ribbon. The straps are made of a wider elastic. Unfortunately, this is a few cup sizes too big for me, so it's hard to comment on the fit. The S style Ewa bras aren't my cup of tea, personally; I feel like I might fall out of the top, since I am used to more full coverage type bras. Overall, this bra is beautifully made!
This bra is added for data purposes only. This Bra is not owned by me at the time of addition to the database, but since I did measure it, I decided to add it anyway. ☺
The S Szafirek is a padded balconette style bra in a Royal Blue with beige backing. The cups are lightly foam lined plus they had removable pads that are labeled by EM for the correction of asymmetry. The pockets for the pads in this bra are sewn completely into the bottom of the cup, unlike the CHP style which is only sewn on the curve of the wire and not ...across the depth of the cup.
I purchased this bra used to try the brand out first, so keep this in mind when reviewing the measurements, as they may not be completely accurate.
The band measures 25” to a max of 37” with 3 hooks and 4 rows of eyes.
The cup depth measures 12” (as measured by hovering the cup between the knees and placing the tape measure into the cup without any resistance) and stretches to 14” over the knee without the cookies. The cup construction consists of 4 sections -3 vertical parts to the bottom with 1 horizontal part on the top and a pocket for the removable pads at this size.
Adding bra in for data/informational purposes only. This Bra is not owned by me at the time of addition to the database, but since I did measure it, I decided to add it anyway.
CHP XoXo is a padded half cup bra. It has light foam lined cups with additional removable pads, which EM states is for the correction of Asymmetry. The pockets for these pads are sewn on the curve of the wire and not across the depth of the cup. The color of this bra is pale pink with micro black dots and a faux corset lace up on the cups, and has ...a white cotton liner. The XoXo is also available in other styles, such as the S which looks the same except has an added 4th horizontal section across the top of the cup for additional coverage and support.
The band measures 25.5” to a max of 36” and has 3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops.
The cup depth is 12.5” (measured by hovering the cup between the knees and placing the tape measure into the cup without any resistance) and stretches to 14” over the knee without the cookies in. There are 3 vertical parts to the cup and a pocket for the removable pads.
I’ve added this bra back into the database per the request of one of our members, so that she could see the alteration photos for it.
For the specs on the original bra. I bought it used, so I cannot guarantee that the measurements are a true reflection of this style at this size.
The band measured 25.5” to a max stretch of 37.8”, and had 3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops.
The cup height was 8” with a width of 6.5”. The depth measured 12.5” flat (measured by hovering the cup between the knees and placing the tape measure in it without any ...resistance) to a max of 13.75” stretched over the knee.
The gore was 4.5” tall and 0.63” wide.
For the details of the failed alteration attempt (aka my Frankenbra) please see the adventure post:
After the “Frankenbra” post, I ended up removing the cups altogether & attempted to add 4 way stretch black tulle to the cups and cover it with purple stretch lace. It was also an epic fail, so I accepted defeat & laid this one to rest. I did not end up finishing that attempt, and unfortunately did not take photos of it either (or if I did, I didn’t save them as I can’t find them on my computer.) If I come across any, I will add them as well. ☺
Ohhhhhhh man.... I can understand your reasoning on what you were trying to do, but ooof! Things in our heads don't always translate very well to real life, do they? Chalk that one up to "a learning experience." Thanks for re-adding these! The pictures go along so well with the story of your adventure, hahaha!
Yeah, like I say, some things are best left to the professionals! Trial & error, & you don't know until you try, right? Haha
Nothing like visuals to really see what happened. :-)
This bra is a similar to the KM-S Grace I have also reviewed and had for years. It is the most supportive bra I have worn. I'm a very tough fit, I'm large, asymmetrical, pendulous, FOT, narrow roots, short (not shallow, just short torso in general), lots of projection, large areolas, soft tissue, and oh BTW nursing!
This bra has been the only one that fits well (on my larger breast, way too big on my smaller but oh well), relieves my back pain, keeps my breasts out of my armpits, projects forward so my breasts (in bra) are not in my arm swing...it's great. I have not found another bra I love as much.
First, let me start by saying I have had this bra for a long time, longer than the "useful life" one would expect from even the best bras. This was my first experience buying a Polish bra and also the largest cup bra I had ever bought at the time. My breasts kind of exploded after my first child, from at DDD to eventually an M cup.
When I first bought this bra, I did not like how projected it made me appear. I was also wearing a Freya Marvel which gave me a much more compacted shape that I thought fit better with clothes. I did not ...wear this bra as part of my regular rotation until I became pregnant with my third child, and it was the one one that would contain my breasts (of my collection, anyway). I then wore it nearly to death.
This bra has a solid fit for me on the band. It is a 32 and I'm a solid 32, I do not go back and forth between band sizes. 34 rides up in the back and I have never had a 30 to try. I have significant asymmetry between my right and left side, so I will say that it fits my right side well (the larger). The cups are padded enough so that the size difference is much less noticeable than an unlined or lightly lined bra. It also negates the need for breast pads when you are reduced to occasional leakage. I am FOT, pendulous, narrow root, very soft tissue, This bra collects, supports, and holds my breasts in their natural state (on the front of my chest, not out to the sides).
The quality is great. I have washed, worn, leaked on, nursed in, and otherwise abused it, and it still works great. It isn't as comfortable as my newer models, and one (only one) hook of the hooks and eyes is pulled out. Read more 215 more words
