This is my first ever Ewa Michalak bra and I can see what the hype is all about.
When I first put on this bra, I couldn't help but laugh a bit. I look like something out of a porny anime. I will include the pic from slightly under the bust so you can see what I mean. I took all the pics like this because I thought it was the best the bra would fit. Then I took it off and discovered it has removable cookies. These cookies are the largest I have ever seen because they actually go the full length of the wire along the ...bottom. They are not thick, just long and somewhat tall. This makes them actually not miserable to have in the cup, but it is really not necessary for me in this size. With the cookies remove, the fit is much improved. I no longer have quadding at the top and the gore is very close to tacking. I am just ordered the 36JJ/80JJ so I can see if I can get the gore to tack.
All this said, the straps are, as expected, too wide-set for me. The good news is that this set of straps looks exceptionally easy to move inward and I don't believe it will affect the fit much.
And it is absolutely gorgeous!!!! I can't get over how pretty the flowers are on the lace and this tiny little jewel on the bow. Read more 137 more words
I’m so glad I saw you posted this, I just had a virtual fitting with Judy from Levana Bratique and she suggested an 80JJ for the padded EM bras, was planning on ordering that same one. 😆
Your description of the fit reminds me of how the 80HH - Ewa Michalak » Pl Cappuccino (316) and 36G - Panache » Jasmine Balconnet Bra (6951) fit me. 🤣
This is too funny. I'm going to upload pictures in just a moment or two, so stay posted. By the way, where do you order your Kris Line from and do you recommend them?
I order from eBay, there’s a gal in Poland who has like multiple accounts on there that she sells the Kris Line from, her name is Magda. I like Kris Line, but I’m having a tough time tacking down my size because of how much it’s changed. My 75K bras just fit too tight, but the 80K seems too big in the cup. I should probably try an 80JJ for Kris Line to see if it fits better, but I feel like I’m putting more effort into Ewa bras right now. I definitely love the unlined styles though, they’re pretty and fit great when you get the size right! Fortuna is a favorite and it’s part of their main line so it’s readily accessible. I’ve never tried the semi-soft or padded bras so I don’t have any recommendations for those.
Ooh, I love how the bra looks even though it isn’t the right size! The S Antonina looks much better than the BM Antonina to me, idk why. Probably because I couldn’t get the right fit in the BM one, it was always just torpedo shaped!
This is awesome info and a great starting point. I am very much still in the trying stuff out phase of finding bras in my size, so buying something unreturnable seems intimidating. But I might have to try out a Kris Line or two once I get more comfortable!
Magda does take returns on eBay, but you have to pay return shipping. It ended up being $14 for me on the West coast US, so that’s something to consider. PayPal has some return reimbursement program where they’ll pay for return shipping for up to 12 returns if the purchase is PayPal, but I’ve never tried it.
I overlooked this bra so many times because I thought it was way too gaudy/over the top…but when it came to making a decision between 3 different bras (2 that were basic black lace over solid colors or this), I decided to give it a try. “What could go wrong? If I hate it I can return it.”
This beaut is one of Ewa Michalak’s SF cut/style bras, made with thicker, unpadded fabric that is touted to be more supportive. In the past, I had tried another SF bra (the Sharon/Szaron) and it was so unflattering because of the fabric being stiffer…it was so baggy, but it was also ...the wrong size for me at the time. The Moulin Rouge is made with velvet, mesh, and ribbon. I know what you may be thinking…how does velvet work as an everyday bra under clothing? I don’t have an answer to that question quite yet, but I’m leaning towards this obviously not being an everyday bra, but one of those “fun” bras.
My breast shape is complicated…I’m pendulous, FOB/even (the more bras I try the more I discover I don’t fill the tops out as much), center full, narrow/average root width, short/average root height. I’m somewhere between being very soft and malleable and slightly firm. This bra gives me a great shape, a slight lift, and is super comfortable.
The velvet is like literally putting your boobs in a pillow. The ribbon embellishments on the front are not noticeable or uncomfortable, but they obviously show through thinner clothing. This bra may be okay as everyday wear in thicker tops, like sweaters, but I don’t think I would wear this one out-and-about or to work during the summertime.
I reeeeally like how the straps on the back look with the ribbon! It looks like the Eiffel Tower, and I’m not sure if that was intentional or not, but if it was then that’s awesome!
The gore slightly floats on me, but because I don’t want to wait for an 80JJ to come in stock at Levana, I’m going to deal with it. I’m on a weigh loss journey right now anyway, so I think eventually it will fit even better. The wires are perfect, not too wide, not too narrow, and very comfortable. The straps adjust great! The band is very comfortable. It’s snug but not too snug. The removable decorative straps are cute and attach so easily!
I’m glad I gave this bra a chance. It’s such a gorgeous little number and it was a lot more flattering on me than I expected. I’m even debating getting the matching panties to go with it! Read more 330 more words
It's so gorgeous! I love the straps in the back and never noticed the detail when looking at this online. I am definitely adding this one to my wish list.
I love the design on this one, but I'm never going to get it because velvet just skeeves me out as a material--I hate touching it, lol! Also, I didn't realize the back of the straps had that detailing, gorgeous! Glad this SF fits you better than the last one you tried. I'm a big fan of the SF myself.
looks amazing on you!!
Thank you all!
bustyand EM also has the SF Azuryt that’s the same general look but it’s in blue and the fabric is knit and not velvet.
This was my first feel for Ewa Michalak’s “S” style. It’s a padded, projected, open-on-top balconette-style bra, and according to an online guide that I’ve read about EM cuts (paraphrased): “suited for medium to full busts.”
The bra is just like the BM Antonina except for the padding, of course. It’s a beige bra with a ivory/white lace overlay, a mesh gore for kind of a “peekaboo” look, and a little jewel.
Comfort-wise, it’s extremely comfortable and soft! The straps adjust just fine for me, but they are a little wide (which I believe is typical of balconettes). There are removable cookies in the cups for that extra UMPH. ...
The quality is excellent, but that’s to be expected of most EM bras.
Unfortunately, not a good fit for me. I would describe my breasts as being pendulous, semi-soft, even vertical fullness, center full, narrow/average width, possibly borderline omega shaped. Padded styles are not recommended for my breast type, but I gave this a shot anyway. It really is a beautiful bra, and I love how it gave me that “Marie Antoinette” look, but the cups were not deep enough and the projection is closer to the apex and not the bottom, which is more of that I need. The gore floated for me, and I had some quadding if I pushed the gore down. Honestly, this bra is not suited very well for center fullness. If I could narrow my size down in a PL style, I’d probably find a better fit.
Sad that it didn’t work out, but you can’t force the fit! Read more 156 more words
This is my 3rd try at Ewa Michalak bras, and I’m intrigued so I’ll give it another go, but I’m not sold on the fit.
This is a BM style bra, which is unlined. The material is somewhat firm in the cups, so there isn’t a ton of stretch, even though the bra gives the illusion that there is since it looks like lace on skin. I really like the look of this bra, and I’m sure if you looked my on profile you’d see that I gravitate towards darker colors like black because I just prefer the look of black bras, especially lace!
I’m in kind of an ...existential crisis right now in terms of my size and fit (it really has put me in quite a tailspin), but according to my most recent measurements from ABTF, I’m coming up 36H/HH. My shape is projected, pendulous, even fullness and root height, narrow to average root width, splayed...I think I got everything.
The 80J doesn’t seem like it’s the right size for me for a couple of reasons. There’s space next to the gore in the middle, which might mean the gore is too narrow, but I’m also wondering if maybe a smaller cup might help? Also, the bra gives me a torpedo shape, which tells me that it’s probably a size too big in the cups as well. I would rather have a rounded shape than a pointed shape at this point. The band is pretty firm and snug, it measures at 35” which is what my snug band measurement is, so I think going up a band would help with my issues of bands being too tight and cutting my skin.
Overall, this is a great bra, it just doesn’t seem right for me in this size. My consensus is that I’ll give this one another try in a 85H and see if it’s any better. Read more 209 more words
Thanks for the continuous stream of informative reviews! Hardly anyone in this size range reviews, so you're awesome for contributing like ghis!. The bra looks stunning on you, I'd definitely attempt one cup down to try to lose the torpedo shape.
Thanks marilynne! Honestly since understanding how important the measurements are on here, I’ve been trying really hard to contribute as much data as I can because you’re right — my size range doesn’t have a ton of info on here! I wish I had realized how helpful it was sooner because I have a few bras I tried when I first started my bra fitting journey that I didn’t measure and now I wish I had.
I hate when I’m looking for a bra in a certain size and there aren’t measurements on here for it! 😣
Thank you for reviewing this! I am really struggling in finding bras in my shape and size. May I ask where you order your Ewa bras from? I’m in the US and am worried about ordering something I can’t return.
Becauseihaveto42 I ordered this from Levana Bratique! They’re in PA, and the gal who owns the store is very friendly. Easy returns, too!
When I saw this bra on the website, I knew I simply had to have it. Teal is one of my favourite colours (although this is more of a dark turquoise) and this set looked utterly divine. The high-waisted knickers were also a plus point as they looked comfortable but stylish.
I ordered the bra, knickers and thong. Hey, a girl likes to have choices https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" />
The knickers have a lining over the middle part of one's backside, but sheer black material on the sides so they are sexy without being too revealing. They are sooooo comfortable that I almost ...forget I am wearing them https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" />
When I placed my order I was unsure as to how comfortable the thong would be as it seemed to be made in a way where the sides might flick or roll up with wear - almost like wings. However I needn't have worried as they fitted perfectly and don't move an inch.
The bra itself is amazing. I adore how my boobs (and other people's!) look in all Ewa Michalak bras as they are second to none at uplifting and supporting the breasts. I feel sexy, confident and proud of my chest.
The cups are made from a sort of padded foam fabric. Unlike some of my other EM bras, there is no outer lining or decoration over the cups, which is good as it means when I handwash the PL Turkus and Fuksja, they dry much more quickly.
With other lingerie brands, I always had trouble finding bras that didn't poke out from the top of my clothing. With Ewa Michalak, this is not a problem at all. My boobs have great shape and, at last, after years of wearing bras which give me a (perhaps sometimes overly) natural shape, I have a selection of bras that make me feel amazing as they give such great uplift.
I also bought this set in fuchsia pink (PL Fuksja), which is every bit as scrumptious. Read more 238 more words
Why why why are these straps so wide? To be honest, I don’t know what is happening in this bra in general. I really want to like it because I like unlined styles best and everything about this seems like it should be great. Narrow wires? Check. Projection? Check. Narrow gore? Check.
But it is not right. Someone please tell me what is happening at the wire on the side? What is this? Seriously, I don’t know what to say or do about that. I also noticed quite a bit of wrinkling in the cups toward the front. This seemed to be helped some when I added a bra extender. Regardless, this will be heading back since the straps are basically in my armpits at the front of the cups and it doesn’t look super simple to alter.
The positives: The gore tacks. The lace is soft and feels nice. I like the padding that is added on the straps.
Honestly the wire on the side looks like it’s being stretched too far back, like the band is too tight. This probably also caused the wrinkles because the bottom was made shallow by the band being pulled back too far. When you added the extender, it helped the wrinkles because it gave the band more slack. It’s too bad it didn’t work out for you, it’s such a pretty bra! Mine in 80HH came in the mail today, I can’t wait to get home and try it on.
Just wanted to add to my last comment: the way you can tell the band is being stretch too far is by how the wing fabric (where the band changes from lace to solid fabric) is slanted back like a slash / instead of up and down |
This is really helpful. Thank you for giving me that insight. I think even if it weren’t for this, the bra would have been a bad fit for me. The straps are so wide set and look like they’d be a bit of a pain to move.
I hope yours works better for you!
It definitely didn’t lol! Way too small. I also just got done trying an 80JJ Biscuit Plunge and it did t fit right either. How did the 80JJ Antonina turn out for you?
Honestly, if I had tried both on the day I tried on the 80J, the 80JJ probably would have been perfect since my boobs were at their max size cycle wise. But as it is, the 80JJ is just a hair large/open on top and the 80J is just a touch on the smaller size. I’m keeping the 80J. I think it is pretty and I can wear it when I want to be very va-va-voom.
It has stretch lace with the semi soft lining in the cup, and beige mesh lining in the top lace. The lace is soft and the lining is pretty silky. The gore has a beige "peep hole".
It has fully adjustable straps however I find that they could be longer, that goes for almost all Ewa bras I've tried though, the straps are very short. If you are taller than 175 cm like me , with low set boobs, you might struggle with these straps. I extended them fully and they still feel a little tight.
The gore is a nice ..."low" height, compared to where UK bras sit on me, you can see in the picture from the front I have a brown mark where other gores always stab me. This one sits well below that, although it doesn't actually tack on me.
The bra feels very comfortable, initially I thought the band was too tight so I tried it with an extender, but then I tried it without one and I got a better fit overall with the bra, aswell as it didn't feel too tight once I was wearing it. But because the cups don't fit me great, I'm obviously not keeping this bra so I can comment on how this bra would feel after wearing it for a few hours. I can imagine it might become slightly uncomfortable because it has the eyelet lace and it is certainly not a loose band.
The shape I get is a nice rounded slightly pointy shape, basically my ideal shape I need and want, it looks great under a shirt.
Sadly the cups are either not projected enough or a wrong shape for me because the gore doesn't tack and I have a slight wrinkling happening in the bottom of the cup. If you fit into the SF cuts I can definitely recommend this bra though, I prefer this bra a lot more over the SF Luna that I also tried. Read more 231 more words
I’m average height and all my Ewa bras have the straps all the way out. I’ve always thought they generally had short straps!
glad it's not just me then, about the straps!
I'm only 169cm and I had to wear EM bra straps all the way out. They even felt a bit tight already. And some of the bras were even 1 cup too big and the straps still felt tight.
I’m about 175 cm tall (5’ 9”), and Ewa straps work for me, but I don’t have a long torso, and I’d say my breasts sit at an average place on my body.
But — I feel like whatever elastic Ewa uses for the straps has less stretch than some other bras that I’ve tried, so I can see how they’d be short for a lot of people. It probably also doesn’t help that the straps are so wide-set.
Have you tried any BM styles from Ewa? The shape is still rounded, and the top of the cup stretches, but they fit slightly differently than the SF and may work better for you. (I’m on mobile and didn’t look through all your bras, so apologies of you’ve already tried the BM and don’t like it.)
LadyNoName agree the straps are firmer than many brands. Feels odd to combine that with short straps too, at least make them stretchier :P
I tried a 80J Bm also, very similar to this bra but people here said it was too big because I got a pointy shape in it. It also didn't have quite enough immediate projection for me at the wire. I liked it though and will try another when possible.
I'd never tried a PL cut so figured what the hell, let's see. I was mostly curious about the gore height.
I have no idea how this bra is meant to fit at my size, because I feel the fit I got looks super dumb. It's squished down, like my boobs are too heavy for this bra. I have soft tissue so I know i'll never get a big cleavage, which I don't want anyway, but I thought this bra would lift me more center than it does. I tried with and without the cookie inserts and all the cookies does it give me quadboob so not ideal. ...
The gore is floating away and cutting into the tissue that's trying to be a cleavage, so it's not very comfortable lol.
Yes you get a super round shape under shirts but at what cost.. I did not feel supported at all in this. The straps do not adjust long enough, they are just like the other Ewa bras, too short overall, so especially on this bra where I don't get much of any support from the band/cups, the straps dig into my shoulders too.
I don't think I'm the ideal shape for this bra but I was expecting more from it tbh, just any sort of lift really.
The fabric of the bra is soft at least.. Read more 117 more words
That actually looks a little small to me. EM PLs didn’t work for me at all though Comexims do, something about the PL from Ewa just wasn’t right. But in my correct I got more coverage than your getting here....
It looks better than the PL I tried years ago! But I had the same experience. it did nothing for my boobs. Also dislike Ewas short shoulder straps - they were a problem for me in the bras I tried.
I had some gaping in the top of this in combination with the floating gore. It probably is too small yes. But also a weird shape mis match.
In comparison to the SF Faworyta, this one has a slightly higher gore and the top of the cup is not as accomodating as the stretch lace on the Faworyta. This bra, while stretchy, cuts in more.
This bra has fully adjustable straps but they are just not long enough overall, so if you are taller than 175cm with low set boobs you might struggle with the straps on this one, I find they are a little too short for me.
The cups are lined in a little different material than Faworyta, this bra has a thinner, silkier lining than Faworyta. The top of the cup is stretchy ...and lined with a sheer, soft material aswell.
The bra comes with optional cage straps included. I couldn't figure out how to attach them so I didn't bother because I wouldn't wear it with that anyway probably, but you can see them on the stock photos.
One thing I found is that the bra on Ewas website has a different construction in the back than the bra I recieved. My bra has regular straps while on Ewa's website is has these straps: https://www.ewa-michalak.pl/eng_pl_Bra-SF-Luna-1599_3.jpg not sure what that's about, seems odd that mine doesn't have this.
As for the fit on me, with this bra I get a lot of wrinkling towards the gore, which I wouldn't say is a dealbreaker personally just an observation. The gore floats on this bra for me also. Again with this bra I tried it with an extender aswell, but had a better fit without the extender, but the band is pretty snug without one. This one is more snug than Faworyta, which stretches a little further. Overall the two seems to be fitting similarily, this one a little less round. Read more 186 more words
Such a beautiful bra, the trims are lovely, the fabrics are super soft. It just doesn't fit - still trying to figure out my ideal ewa size. So, will be listing this for sale.
Same issues as I had with the S-Iwette. Loved it in theory. The band was very firm, and I liked the shape it gave me. It really pulled in from the side and projected well. Wires were the perfect width. I did have a problem with the center gore digging in at the bottom after a full day of wear. Tried it one more time, but just couldnt take it after a few hrs. Although I loved the look, I wasn't a huge fan of the "jiggle" up top, which was exacerbated by the cup being too small. The wings were WAY too low for me and made the armpit fat look much worse, but I think that could be better if I had a proper size. All in all I'd be willing to give it another shot in the correct size, but wouldn't hold out too much hope.
I LOVE this bra. But it makes my boobs look bigger than they are. Definitely huge projection. I like how padded it is because I’m breast feeding and want to hide my nipples. I love that it comes with cookies too. I really wish the straps were closer in. I do have gaping where the straps meet the cup, I don’t even know why? Bottom fullness? If I could move the straps in by an inch I think this would fit me 10/10. I do have both cookies in my smallest breast because the breast feeding is taking its toll on the boobs! : )
