The color of this bra is to die for! It’s pretty close it a cobalt blue, but my pics are coming off more of a navy. Very vibrant color, and I love it, well, because I’m a sucker for blue. This bra has a very light spacer foam. So light in fact, you can see through it when you hold it up to light. In this size I don’t get any lift and I could size down a cup due to the very forgiving fabric of the cup. The lace is supposed to provide a side smoothing effect, but I feel ...it runs just a tad to high for my liking. For any short ladies, or high set boobs like me, it can be annoying and uncomfortable. The wires are sturdy, but a smidge too wide for me, again I could probably size down for a better fit. I’m finding this band a tiny bit loose for a 30 as I’m already wearing it on the tightest hooks. The straps have a lovely lace detail up the front half and of course the beautiful lace that runs along the underband and backband. Overall this gives a lovely natural round shape. But if you’re looking for some serious support this might not be it with the forgiving cup fabric. Read more 118 more words
The Great Amazon Prime Wardrobe Try-On, Part 3 My shape: full on bottom, soft tissue, narrow shoulders/roots. Appearance: I've been on a beige bra kick, can you tell? https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" /> This one is a pretty caramel-ish color, with white floral lace pattern all atop the cups. The straps are a stiffer elastic with a ribbed pattern. The bottom of the cup is lined with beige satin. The lace atop it is more stiff, and the top of the cup has a thin piece of elastic at the top edge to help keep it close to the chest. Fit: As you can see from the pictures, ...this bra is too large in the cup for me somehow. There's massive gaping at the top, and I can't fill the bottom because of the wire shape mismatch. These wires aren't as wide as the Jacqueline I tried in the same size, but still too wide for me. The straps are placed wider, as well, and dig into my armpits. Yet another swing and a miss with my third Prime Wardrobe box o'bras. (So far? 0/24 I've tried have fit. wompwomp) I'm running out of styles and brands I can try in my size! Hopefully, Amazon will expand this service to offer more brands. Overall, however, I'm grateful for the chance to try all of these on and give my opinions and measurements to help with the database here. Read more 129 more words
Fantasie used to be such a reliable brand, but seems to be more of a hit/miss situation now a days. Sorry it didn't work out for you. (Hooray for Prime though, right?) It's definitely great for the database!
The only time I bought a fantasie, I checked here first and saw the cups ran large, so I bought a cup size down.
I really love this bra. It's gorgeous, the fabrics feel like they're high quality, soft, smooth, and very comfortable. It took me quite a while to review this bra. I feel a bit off doing a proper review on something I've only worn at home for like an half hour, max. I did a fit check on this bra and was informed that the Helena Balcony Bra model from @Fantasie is one of their older models. @Fantasie is specifically a "bigger bust" brand and most their bras (especially the older models) are originally patterned around a size 32G (just a guess on my ...part) and are then sized down to the smaller cups/bands. I often hear that @Fantasie bras run larger in the cup compared to most brands (i.e. Panache, Freya, CK, Parfait etc.). Due to my lack of experience wearing the bra I had to mark everything as "Good" instead of "Excellent." But, IMO, I think the quality, comfort, and appearance would all be excellent if I had more experience with it. I hope I do! I am looking at more @Fantasie bras! Though they tend to be on the more expensive side and very rarely do they come in a size 30C. I have found the Helena in a 30C a couple times and hope to get my hands on it. The top of the cups on this bra are obviously too big for me. I completely fill the bottom of the bra and fully intend on removing the lace section and perhaps attaching it to the rest of the cup to stabilize it. I think this alteration will make me a really lovely low coverage, plunge style bra that fit very well and it super comfortable. The fabrics felt oh-so-nice and were really comfortable against the skin . Although I often wish they used the silky/satiny fabric they use on the outside of the bra on the inside of the bra because of it's lovely skin feel. Instead they tend to use some rougher cotton, cotton-like, polyester fabric for the inner lining of the bra if they use any at all. I can see this bra being very good for FOT, even full, firm breasted women. I didn't really like how the lace felt, but I don't see it being annoying to those with more sensitive skin than I. The band was nicely firm for a 30 band. I typically need a >28 band, so this band was obviously too big for me and I needed to hook it on the tightest hook. It certainly seemed tight/firm enough on this book and was definitely comfortable. The elastic definitely feels very high quality. The wires seem to be about an average width for this size. I really enjoyed these wires. They were not extremely firm, but they were not soft and flexible like Comexim's. They were...sturdy. Nice and sturdy. They were tall at the Gore and the sides. I could see some women complaining about the bra being too tall and poking. I also feel that the Gore is fairly tall but was comfortable for me. I really like that the wires are pretty freaking close together and the Gore remained narrow all the way down to the bottom of the gore where there is some widening. I can definitely see this bra being good for closer set women. I really disliked the straps. The base fabric didn't feel great and seems to be some sort of fold over elastic. This "elastic" was covered with the same lace that was on the cups. This made the straps really wide. I'm not a huge fan of wide straps. It also made the straps not fully adjustable, which can easily be a con. The lace does not look really good so it does nothing for the appearance of the bra IMO. Although it does match so it makes the bra look well thought out in design and aesthetic. What was nice about the straps was that they weren't very wide set, I am getting really tired of super wide set straps. Overall, I can't wait to try more @Fantasie and I certainly look forward to making my alterations to this bra and will post and update as the alterations occur. Read more 603 more words
I’m thinking of trying this as well as it’s come up a few times in my bra recommendations. It looks like Amazon currently carries 30C in white/black/nude. Have you tried this size or just the 30D?
As I said with the Fantasie Helena, I'm starting to think that Fantasie bras are a whole cup size bigger than Panache/Cleo/Freya and pretty much everyone else. I bought about 10-15 bras in a big haul from Figleaves this month - while Figleaves had a 20% off sale - all were size 30GG including this one.
The Fantastie Elodie is another style that I've been meaning to try for years: it is always rated 4 or 5 stars on Figleaves and Fantastie keep making new colourways season after season. It must be a successful style for them. However, due to its price - it's expensive enough - I never ...got around to trying it.
This didn't seem quite as generous as Fantasie's Helena but I still think it's too big on me. The cup isn't noticeably wrinkled at the top of the cup, but I'm not really filling the bottom and sides out completely either. My nipple is a bit too low and not at the cup seam.
Again I feel quite un-sexy with this on. It's a true full cup bra and the upper edges of the cup are completely against my sternum enclosing all my breast tissue completely. I felt restrained in this bra - the back band, the straps, the full cups everything combined to make me feel strapped in.
The straps are chunky and it's too much coverage for me. The colour combination should have been a winner: cobalt blue with black lace, but I didn't adore the style in person.
The main reason I wont be keeping this one is the shape: from the side it's way too pointed!
I wonder if the 30G would have been better. Probably. it wouldn't have been quite so bad.
Like the Helena I can't recommend this style at this price point. If you think all your bras have straps that are too narrow, try Fantastie, but otherwise, steer clear! Read more 211 more words
I have not had much luck with Fantasie - either pointy or saggy and too big.
I agree about Fantasie's cups having irregular sizing! Very frustrating. I loved the idea of side-support, but the cups were too pointy and deep for my wide/shallowness.(30D - Fantasie » Annabelle Side Support Bra (2842) ). Even though there was room left over in the cups, I couldn't get all my tissue into them!
I'm starting to think that Fantasie bras are a whole cup size bigger than Panache/Cleo/Freya and pretty much everyone else. I bought about 10-15 bras in a big haul from Figleaves this month - while Figleaves had a 20% off sale - all were size 30GG including this one.
The Helena always gets 5 stars and has been available for years and years - but it's expensive enough that I never got around to trying it.
The first thing that I noticed is that it's really a full cup - it looks matronly. It's got lace and satin but it looks like an practical bra trying to look sexy. It certainly didn't make me feel good wearing it. The straps are really wide, like: you've-got-massive-boobs-so-you-must-need-an-inch-wide-elastic-to-hold-up-all-that-fat.
Perhaps if I had it in a 30G it wouldn't have been quite so bad.
Honestly can't recommend this style certainly not it it's normal price point. There's plenty other full cup bras out there that I prefer (see Panache Envy or Idina or Andorra for that matter)
I think it looks too big on you. Personally, I'm not a fan of the cup shape (I agree, the cup shape is matronly), but this also seems like it's offering little to no support in the cups. It seems like it's designed for a different shape from your shape.
I love this bra, its underrated... I do not understant that Rebecca is more popular. Fantasie Eclipse is made big, average to wide cups, very big in the band. This feels like my usual 32G bras. The straps are quite thin, cute, fully adjustable and have a J-hook! How cool! There are 3 hooks at the back for a more secure feel. I feel like the spacer cups are thiner and more flexible than the Rebecca. There is a little bit of lace on the wings and on the band, just under the cups. It feels a little bit scratchy. Overall this is a very convenient and comfortable bra, its only downside is how large the band are. This would definetely not for for women who usually wear 28 or 30 bands.
Not the most exciting looking bra on me, really. I've got to quit trying fuller cup bras, I feel like they don't do much for my shape. I guess it's about what you're looking for, but all the coverage makes me feel so matronly. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" /> (And after wearing for a day, the tall cups were really bothering me)
It's comfy, but it can't compare to the Simone Perele spacer bras I've tried - except maybe that the band feels like a truer 30. The foam is a bit thicker than I thought it would be.
Also, after the post where people were saying they prefer lined bras in the summer, I must say that I found this bra much more uncomfy and sweaty than my unlined Cleo Marcie or Lily.
This bra is extremely comfortable all day long. It definitely minimizes the size of my boobs under tops. While the cups are smooth on the outer side, the molding is made of a thin spacer foam and is definitely prone to nipple visibility poking through every so often. The foam also doesn't shape so much, but rather it smooths out whatever your natural shape is (part of the reason why it is so comfortable though). The cups are also very breathable with the foam. I have only had this bra for about four months (actually bought two colors) so far but it hasn't stretched out at all, even with regular wear since it has become my workhorse bra. Most days, this is my go-to bra and for that, it has been perfect.
So I decided to give Fantasie the benefit of the doubt, and try this bra, since it's supposed to be something of a bridge style between Fantasie and Goddess/Elomi. Oh Fantasie, does it somehow not occur to you that a K cup bra needs underwires that can, I dunno, hold their shape? Like seriously, is this underwire made of plastic??? As much as I complain about limited size ranges, if they're going to make bras in this cup size like this, I'd really rather they just stop at a smaller size.
Seriously, look at the last picture I uploaded. I am pulling really very gently, side-to-side, and the wire ...completely distorts, not even stretches side to side, twists into like an S-curve or something. It's ridiculous. (For comparison, I did the same thing to Panache Jasmine, same amount of pressure, and the wire stretches width-wise, 1" or less.) These underwires are in no way able to stand up to my boobs.
As you can see from the picture, the fit is ridiculous. I can't even tell if it's just the wires, or the cup is way too small, or what, but it fits like it's maybe 4-5 cups too small. Also the cups fit very east-west, spread out. This bra made my boobs look so awful!
It's too bad, really, because it's a very, very pretty bra. I tried the charcoal color, which is a charcoal base with very light pink embroidered tiny flowers and vines. (Embroidery is on the cups/center gore only.) There's a really pretty little detailing along the top edge of the cups. There's also a decorative bit on the front half of the straps. Now, it's pretty, but rather stupid, because it means the straps can't adjust shorter without shoving the adjuster-piece over this detailing. (I haven't tried, since I am returning the bra, but I assume this can at least be done, with some effort.) The straps aren't even limited-stretch, to make up for being limited-adjust, even the part with detailing is stretchy.
The bra is light and airy, looks-wise, and as far as material. The cups are, I think 2-layer, mesh, with a little stretch to it, quite light. The back band is a slightly different, 1-layer, stretchier mesh (very, very stretchy - I think bigger band sizes or smaller cup sizes may need to size down, as the more of this part there is, the stretchier this band is going to get).
The straps, aside from the problems mentioned above, are fairly nice, good thickness and are pretty comfortable. Actually, the strap placement is excellent, one of the only good things I can say about this bra. The straps are placed more towards the center, and don't dig into my armpits at all. The arm opening seems large enough, the cup doesn't dig in either. Well, actually I think it's too low under the arms, and I seem to spill out a bit above the sides.
The back band digs in weirdly and makes lots of back fat, I think it's just not strong enough and gets bunched up a bit. (The band is the right length, as I can comfortable fit 2 fingers under, with it closed on the second hook. It's weird, when I measure it, it shouldn't fit like this, it should be too small, but it easily hooks, even though the stretched measurement I got is almost 2" smaller than my ribcage measurement. WTF?)
The cups are 3-section seamed, with a small inner lower section, a large outer lower section and a small-ish upper section that goes across the full width of the cup, and has the straps attached to it. The vertical seam between the two lower sections is approximately 7"/18cm. The cups are moderately deep at the bottom of the wires. This is not really a partial band bra, but sort of acts like it, since there's no actual amount of band below the cups, just it slopes down towards the bottom of the cups at the attachment.
I hope someone who wears a smaller size will try this bra, I'd be really interested to see how it will work for smaller breasts than mine! Especially since it is so pretty, but so, so fail-y on me! Read more 597 more words

Purchased an inexpensive "red" bra extender from ebay and although the hooks are spaced a bit different than the bra they still work together and hold up comfortably with all day wear. I just needed about an inch or so and this bra is just as comfy as my original Ava in Black. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

This is the exact same style as the black Ava just in a beautiful Red color. (See full review above) It fits significantly tighter ...and was uncomfortable the first time wearing it. The band is 2cm smaller at 61cm where the Black version is perfect for me at 63cm: so much so that I want to wait to wear it again until I can get a 2-hook extender. The quality of material, cup size and everything else is wonderful.
Measured unstretched immediately before wearing. Purchased in Red, Mid-October '11 from Brastop. Read more 65 more words
Whoever voted this down needs to rethink their happy trigger-clicker-finger.
Whoever voted this down needs to rethink their happy trigger-clicker-finger. Took 1 week to finally want to wear this bra for the first time. In that time it was worth stating "Review forthcoming..." as a temporary marker. So, you're welcome for being honest.
I absolutely love the fabric. It feels like it's been comfortably worn in. I do not completely fill up the cup, there's always about a fingers width distance between my bra and my breast in a bra. Never had anything fill this correctly and I suspect I won't ever, so it's not too much of an issue for me. The gore is too high does not lie flat. The projection is very nice but there is noticable pulling at the side seems and this is a "side support" bra so perhaps it's not the right for my shape. Love the short/narrow wires ( I think these terms are used interchangeably) so there is no armpit chafing with excessive fabric. The left breast does not fit in this size nor the 34F (even smaller, obviously) and I also have 34G and 34H on the way. Even after swooping and scooping the left side does not fit.
It was an impulse buy on Poshmark, I didn't pay enough attention
Feels and looks surprisingly good though, I feel like as I come back to the real bra community I'm going to adjust my standards, gore not tacking isn't a big deal if the bra isn't in my armpits haha
I really want to like this bra because style-wise, it is super cute! I love the crochet lace. The color 'fawn' is a really pretty, unsaturated purple/tan.
I think the fit in the cups is good, which have enough depth for my projection. Though, the wings are a bit longer than I'd like and extend past my breast tissue. While shirtless, the lace chafes my underarm because of this.
My only other complaint is that the band is pretty loose for a new bra, I can easily wear it on the third hook without being uncomfortable at all. On the first hook it actually allows the gore to lift ...slightly at the top. If I were to buy it again, my suggestion would be to go down to a 30 in band size, just to make sure I can wear into it over time.
The cups are very stretchy, which while comfortable, makes it not very supportive. Also, because my breasts are very soft tissue, the seams of the bra - especially the horizontal one where the lace ends - cuts into my breasts and creates this very unflattering boxy shape / in-cup quadboobing. That seam is a lot tighter than the one above it. Super unfortunate. It looks worse in real life than it does in the pictures. Read more 109 more words
Great explanation.. AS much as you seem to want to like this bra, the seams cutting into your breasts and the underarm would be a deal breaker for me. I agree is it super cute!
billi09 yeah very unfortunate! will definitely be sending it back for those reasons. hopefully will find another cute bra in the future that doesn't do that!
Usually I find that 36G in Fantasie side support fits me best, but this 38G Elsie was the closest size in stock so I ordered it. The cups fully enclose my breast tissue, and are even are a little too big for me, too tall and too deep, there is too much room and empty space at the bottom of the cup, so my breasts don't feel as supported. The wires seem to be the same width as the 36G Frances, just longer.
I have narrow roots and even, projected, soft, saggy breasts which are close-set with centre fullness, and once in a while a Fantasie side support will fit me. This bra might be a good candidate for me in the next size down. The color is a delicate pink floral.
I will keep this review rather short because I have an in depth review of the 32J - Fantasie » Illusion Side Support Bra (FL2982) in navy where I describe the fit and also how the bra wears out with time. So spoiler alert, this bra stretches and wears out rather quickly. After four months of regular wear I am about the retite the navy blue Illusion. The band on navy has stretched out by 3cm compared to this bra!
This beige bra I bought at the same time. Since this is currently my only beige bra in my collection I reserve this for occasions where my ...outfit requires to wear a beige bra. So I have not worn this as much as the navy one and it's still in good condition. There are some tiny differences between this and the navy blue one. First the part where the eyes for closure are sewn on is more padded on this. That's nice because sometimes if the fabric there is thin, the metal pieces can dig into your skin expecially if you wear your bands tight. Second this bra just runs a tiny bit smaller than the navy one in cup.
For now I will keep this beige bra and wear it as long as possible, it gives me just slight cutting in. I will definetly not repurchase any Illusion bras as the quality is lacking and they wear out quite quickly. Another down side for me is that I would best fit a 32JJ which they not make so the 32J was always a bit of a tricky fit. The bra is quite comfy and I still recommend if you are within the size range, just be aware that it migth wear out quite quickly esp. in larger sizes. Read more 191 more words
The most important thing to know about my breasts is that they're very pendulous and the tissue is very soft. I have relatively narrow roots, medium height. They're also splayed and wide-set.
This bra is fantastic. First, appearance: this bra is so beautiful. The color I ordered, saffron, is splendid and the kind of ruddy shade that works with any skintone. It's rare to see lace underlaying a mesh panel--it's usually lace over mesh--but the effect here of the top panel of the cup overlaid on the lace edge is really stunning. The underwire is just firm enough, but not panache hard, and the mesh band means the whole thing is supremely comfortable. The four part cup allows for a a lot of depth at the wire, plus the back sits straight on me, which is rare (back fat is real, fam). This bra sits good, feels good, looks good. It's a keeper.
This is one of 3 bras I bought used recently on Facebook.
This is definitely big on me, esp in the band. It was loose in the middle hook so I'll probably have to wear it on the tightest hook right away. The cups are VERY wide and a little too deep and not very supportive - it definitely gives me a saggy, sad-elf-shoe type look. I also dont like the the color - BUT .. . this is actually something I was kinda looking for for work-from-home. This is comfy and easy and should be a good bra for days when I just want to wear a 'meh' bra. Those kind of days happen to all of us, dont they?
Edit: when wearing on the tightest band setting, its actually more supportive. Hubby said my breasts look smaller in it (because its wide instead of deep, of course, so somewhat minimizing).
The colour of this bra is actually beautiful blossom pink, but the original photo from my smartphone is too gray, so I added a filter to show a better view.
The cups of this bra are very projected. They cannot spread out on my knee. To take measurements I need to gently bend the cups down and make a pair of marks with my pen. Unlike other bras, this bra give very few pressure to my conical, even and projected boobs. It just let them to be naturally pointy. I think I need some time to get used to this shape. The fabric of the cup top is a ...little bit baggy, but still ok for me.
My most dislikes of this bra are the straps. They are rather seperated and not elastic enough. I had a struggle to adjust them properly so they won't slide down from my shoulders any more.
The band is super strechy. I would say it's a 31 band rather than a 30 band. It fits my 75 cm ribcage very comfortably.
The gore bottom width is 4.5 cm, the cup top depth is 22.2 cm.
And anyway, belleandblues thank you for the recommendation.
Edit on 20.04.22: Finally I still decided to return it back. I felt maybe my roots are too tall for this bra or the cup are a little bit too separated for me. I have very slightly quad boobs around the center gore.
Edit on 20.04.23: I am still not sure if I will keep it or not. I adjusted the band to the shortest and found there are no quad boobs anymore (and also determined that I have extremely high set boobs.) Read more 171 more words
Wilderness1 Thank you for the comment, but I still want to return it back. It is not perfect, I can see very slightly quad boobs because the cup top is not stretchy.
Hey, this looks pretty good! I agree with you about the center gore issue, I also have that sometimes with Fantasie styles in particular because for some reason they do not sit right. I feel that the wires are just a little bit too firm. If it isn't cheap enough to keep (because it's so pretty), I'd agree about sending it back too.
A lot of Fantasie bras are that shape, and I've found that Elsie/Camilla/Frances is the LEAST pointy of all of the models I've tried. I have a bunch more coming in the mail but at least now you know how this brand fits you. There are others that I've reviewed that are super pointy and you'll want to stay away from them entirely.
belleandblues Hey, you know what, I finally find the cause of the wires that didn't lay in my IMF. Actually my boobs are extremely high on my chest. Because of the ill fitted bras with too big bands at my teenage, I never have had the right feel of the really supportive cups and always close the bra too low on my chest. For this Fantasie bra, I need to adjust the strap to the shortest to make the wire sits at the right place, then my quad boobs are generally eliminated.
It's not an expensive bra, I got it from the sale of Poinsettia online shop with about 30 EUR.
smjwzhan makes sense! I also noticed in this style that I have to wear it a bit higher up than normal to get the wires to sit right.
Btw I just received my Susanna. It is similar but the shape is rounder than Elsie. It also has textured straps so they should stay in place better. I recommend looking into it to see if it might work for you!
belleandblues Thank you. But I just decided to try a 30FF Cleo Marcie and Comexim Victoria 2HC/3HC in 70H. Last night I adjusted the straps of my 32E Marcie and 70HH Victoria 2HC again, then I tried them.
Just as you said, I found the 32 band of my Cleo Marcie is too loose and the cups are also too small. My fatty tissues under the armpits were squeezed to lumps and the band rode slightly up. The cups were very full filled but they got slided down again after some body movements.
The cups of 70HH Victoria 2HC are however a little bit too big for me. As I pulled the wires into my IMF, there was empty fabric at the cup top.
smjwzhan I hope the 30FF Marcie works out for you. I liked the way the previous Marcie looked on you so crossing my fingers that this is the perfect size!
When we wear bras that are too big in the band and too small in the cup, it's normal for cradle to be sitting too low and the back to be sitting too high. I had the same problem for a long time and didn't realize until more recently that my natural breast position is really high up when I'm wearing a properly fitted bra. I think that as we are wearing bras in the correct wire position and in larger cup sizes, it's natural to run into the problem of sides coming up too high or straps being too wide set. You almost never get that if you wear a small cup too low on your body!
I emailed Joanna to ask about modifications to the 3HC I tried for future orders since I found it to be too shallow and she suggested increased depth and reduced cup height. Could you order 65HH or 70H and ask for increased depth and reduced cup height? As long as you find the size with the right wire size, it should be easier to adjust depth and height from there. Personally, all of the Comexims that fit me in wire size and depth are too tall for me, I am going to order everything from now on in reduced cup height because of the issue I described above.
This bra is just gorgerous. It is a floral print that I really like everything about. I tried the 32J - Fantasie » Camilla Side Support Bra (FL3122) a few months ago and I found the bra a bit too tall and the wires too wide. I also lost a bit of weight since then, so I decided to pick up a smaller size in the sale. (I couldn't find 32H or 32HH so I decided to try the 30HH since I found the bra on the 32J to be quite stretchy).
So... no it does not work. The band is not too tight I don't even ...need an extender to close it. It stretches to almost 32in so it runs larger more like a tight 32 band would fit. The wires are a good width for me and the cups are not too tall. The bra fits well on the bottom half, but I find that there is not so much room at the center. Also the gore is a bit wide, I'd prefer a more narrow gore.
The upper half of the cups is made of a very pretty stretchy lace... and it is lined with beige non stretchy mesh. Like why make stretchy lace then line it with unstretchy fabric? It makes no sense. Like it is either a bra with stretchy lace or not. I hate when they do that. I also hate the elastic band at the cup edge that cuts in. Why??? Would the cups fall off if it wasn't there? Would the boobs fall out? Okay enough of a rant, the bra is just not made for my tall, full - on - top shape. I have to accept it and move on but oh this is the most gorgerous floral print I ever saw on a Fantasie bra. The only way to top this would be this on a cool toned pink background with pink lace. They better not do it or I will be even more sad. Read more 229 more words
It’s so pretty! Shame it is still not a good fit in a different size. I also hate elastic cup edging. It’s almost always done too tight and it digs into my soft tissue.
I'm not sure why they EVER put elastic on cup edges. I mean, even a firm breast still squishes??
I don't know why they do this. It would cut in on my firm tissue also.
I think they do it to keep the straps closer together at front- the elastic helps the lace not stretch out allowing the strap to slip down.
cupandahalf yes that could be a reason for it. Do you do alternations of your Elomi bras still? Cut that elastic ribbon out? Does it affect if the straps slip down more easily? The straps slipping off the shoulders is a problem of narrow shoulders and a bra that is intended for a wider frame or just straps too wide set.
I haven’t paid attention actually. I have sloping shoulders so I think straps slip off me no matter what, even with really centered straps.
Yes, I do use a seam ripper to cut the elastic off the top cup on my larger side. Works really well to prevent that digging in.
Maybe my shoudlers are not that narrow just sloping? :S
