This is a VERY plunging bra that still manages to provide very firm support and great cleavage. The only downside is all of the seams are very visible not only through T-shirts but also thinner knits. As this is most of my wardrobe I returned the bra despite it's fantastic fit. I'll only buy one if I can find nothing else that works (I don't usually buy lace for the same reasons).

I had another of these bras under a different style # that I barely ever wore due to the seam showing reason despite the great cleavage it provided.

Also of note. The cups ... are firm fabric with no give which can be less comfortable than moulded cups. Also the back is very narrow, just strips of elastic going to one hook. This is good if you need it to hide under something, and I never found it less than comfortable, but I carry very little fat in my back even when I was obese. Someone with more might find it to produce a visible line or to be uncomfortable.

I didn't wash the one I had much due to wearing it very little, but looking at both that one and this one it doesn't seem like they would hold up to washing as well as others, they just seems a little cheap.

This bra has a subtle stripe to the fabric on the lower cups that makes it more attractive than a basic bra. If it wasn't for the seams showing through clothes I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

    • Do you feel that the fit was true to size?

    • Yes as I tend to wear more firm moulded cup bras, if someone is more used to stretchy bras this may feel a size small as it has NO stretch whatsoever.

    Fits

I've been on a mission to find my size and a bra that fits. I am a hard one to fit since I have a lot more projection than width so it's made bra shopping harder and I figured out today that I've been measuring in the wrong spot to get my under-bust measurement, instead of a 26.5" I am 25". When I first put this on I was once again saddened, the 28FF have been too small and this in a G was apparently too big and rather uncomfy. After awhile I decided to try it on again and after wearing it a bit on the loosest ... hook the underwire was hurting and it was riding up a bit so I took it off and slightly bent the wire around so that it molded to my body and I put it back on but hooked on the tightest hooks. Holy cow! It was like a completely different bra! It fit and better yet, it felt good! I'll admit I did shed a couple of tears too. : ) My right breast is slightly smaller than my left so a small dart at the bottom will make that cup nearly perfect too but the center gore now sits fully against my sternum though the top digs in a wee bit, however that can be fixed.

This isn't a very pretty bra, as far as they go it's kind of basic and not one that you'd want showing however I'm in love with it and thankful that I've found something that fit.

**The review pictures are before I bent the underwire and on the loosest hooks**

This fits very similarly to the Freya Deco, except that I would say the front edge of the cups is a little more rigid so it is less likely to gape than the Deco. The band on mine stretched out quickly and was large to start with, so I'd definitely recommend sizing down. Like the Deco, it's an awkward bra to fit - if it's slightly too large you get gaping at the top. I wear a 28G in most styles now but still wear a FF in the Deco and Crystal, even though it's slightly too small. It just gives me more cleavage than it did when ... I was smaller. Whilst a 28G looks like it fits me when I put it on, my boobs 'settle' into it after a while and I am left with room at the top. I am fuller on the bottom so this is partly the reason. I would not recommend it if you have soft breast tissue or have migrated tissue you're trying to move - it's too easy for your boobs to slip out and the wires don't come up high under the arm.
Of course, the good reasons why women love it are that it's a low cut plunge, the cleavage is great and it's very comfy.

    • It sounds like you have the same problem I have with mine. It fits me, like I fill out the apex and fill out the rest of the cup (even though I don't get the amazing cleavege that everyone claims to get), but the cups are so tall on me I will get gaping at the top after awhile of wearing it.
You said it was too slightly too small when you sized down. How much too small if don't mind me asking. I've considered going down in the cup but since I fill it out except for where the cup gets too tall I'm afraid going down would be way too small and make me feel like my boobs were being suffocated.

All I can say is THANK YOU FREYA FOR MAKING A 28GG DECO!!!! This bra is absolutely a gem for me. Like some of the gals out there who had been stuck right at the end of the size range for the Deco, I had been bouncing back between wearing a 28G and a 30G. Both had their fit issues. For me the 28G fit in the band, but the cup was too small and if I swoop and scooped properly it left me a bit exposed. When I wore the 30G the cup fit, but the band was too big causing the discomfort of a band riding up all day and it didn’t lift my breast like it should. This bra in size 28GG eliminates both those problems for me. The cup contains my entire breast while the band sits properly drastically improving the comfort level.

*For reference I measure 26 inches under the bust, 37.5-38 inches around the fullest part of the bust.

*Pictures for this review include Black and Charcoal Grey.

I really love the look of this bra. That it what initially drew me to it. It is blue with black vertical stripes, a ribbon style strap, two cute very little blue bows on the front ends of the straps, and two cute black buttons on the front gore. It is a molded, plunge bra. No seams to be found under your shirt. The quality of the stitching is superb, the hook and eye closures and buttons are sewn in securely. If hand washed and air dried, I see this bra lasting a long time.

I have only worn this bra two days. It is a snug, comfortable fit leaving light red marks that disappear within minutes of removing the bra. Sometimes I can feel the underwires under my armpits, but I wouldn't call it poking. It isn't uncomfortable, I just notice them.

Overall, I love this bra. I love it's look and it's fit.

Definitely a favorite. The top elastuic gapes a tiny bit on the sides when I am standing up very straight, but doesn't seem to effect the feel or fit. Gives a pushup illusion without additional padding. Normally I wear a 28DD but the 28D fits perfectly. When I tried on the 28DD the top of the cups stuck out. This bra might be prone to a little nip slip due to the lack of full coverage, but the fit is still excellent and I don't think the slip would be major.

  7. Deco Moulded Plunge Bra (4234)

Band: The bra has a very very stretchy band. If you are between band sizes, go down one and up a cup size, although if you’re borderline you may not need to go up a cup size. The black color tends to run larger in my experience. I have owned Decos in four band sizes (changing weights over the years), and they all stretched out very quickly within a month or so, with the exception of a 32FF in Pistachio (fashion color, no longer available). The front part of the band is continuous and curved, and edged in odd scallop detail (see straps).

Straps: Pretty ugly- wide slightly ... scratchy-looking elastic with detailing on the side looks as if it were supposed to be scallop-inspired. I’m not sure why this is, but the straps are fully adjustable, which means I’ll take pretty much any weird detailing they will throw at me.

Cups: It’s cut so that women like me who are full on the bottom and sides are accommodated, perhaps due to the way the plunge is constructed? The wires come up high on the side, which is great for trying to reverse migrated breast tissue. There’s also a decent amount of space between the cups and it pushes my separate breasts a little closer together, so it might be a bit much for ladies who have very close-set breasts. The shape is stupendous for me, as everything was held pretty much straight up. The mold gives nipple modesty and shapes well.

Freya and Fantasie bras do not tend to fit me well because they size for a rounder or fuller at the middle breast. I usually cannot fill the point of the cup and there is space or it wrinkles, and then the bra cuts into my breast tissue at the top if I size down. The Deco is an exception- probably my favorite bra that I’ve ever found. I’ve found I can get a fold at the bottom of the cups during the beginning of the bra’s life when the fabric is pretty stiff. I’m told this is because my breasts are set high and I have a shallow profile (full on bottom), so I don’t always fill the bottom of the cups (think orange in a glass).

  8. Arabella Balcony Bra (5731)

This bra definitely runs big in the band. I am a solid 34 and I had to take a 32 in this bra. The only other bra I ever had to take in a 32 was the Freya Nieve which is also has a notoriously large band. I would normally be a 34H so I went with the 32HH and it fits beautitully. This is a beautiful and comfortable bra. I do not mind the extra lining in the GG+ sizes, in fact I prefer it. The bra does not go into my armpit which is a common problem I have with bras. I got the Purple ... Haze color at a local boutique and I love it. It's a hard color to get a hold of. I tried the Lyla and heard it was based off the arabella which is why I tried this bra. I am full on top and there may be slight cutting in at times but not enough to be noticeable or uncomfortable. Although I can't speak to its longevity yet this bra is very supportive. I may get more if it stands up to a weeks worth of wear. It's definitely worth a go especially if you can scoop one up in one of the rare discontinued colors.

The brand is feels supportive and I like the fact that there are 3 sets of hooks, not just 2 like in many Panache bras in this size. The band is, however, long compared to Panache for example, as is usual for Freya. I have to have it on the tightest hook on my 30 inch chest and it is till fairly loose (I can fit a hand in there, but not more).

The cups are supportive, but the ribbon running along the top of the cup cuts into my breasts a little, although the rest of the cups is really big enough if not slightly too big. I ... don't think this style will work for full-on-top breasts.

The shape this bra gives is also a little different. I wouldn't describe it as pointy, but it is very round at the bottom and kind of flat at the top, partly due to the constricting band running along the top of the cup.

The straps are stretchy throughout and fully adjustable. Be warned that the contrasting seams will be quite visible through thinner clothes.

    • I can relate to the ribbon cutting across the breast. I thought it was just due to my boob shape, but I see now that it may be an issue for a lot of people people.

    • Yea, I think we're definitely not alone ;)
I think this ribbon is also what causes they wrinkle along the seam between the sheer part and the opaque parts.

Pros: Like the style, looks really nice. Band fits ok, not too tight but secure. Cup is good size, wires don't dig anywhere.
Cons: Fabric comes too high up under the arms, it chafes. Straps are too wide apart for my liking, more chafing along the armpit. The strap is fastened in a bad angle to te band in the back, when I put the bra on, the plastic buckle turns a bit and digs into flesh on the outside and sticks away from my back on the inside (closer to the spin) and it is really uncomfortable (had the same problem with Freya Halle, which was otherwise really perfect)

Had to give it back, it was faulty - the hooks were comming off

Should be made in a 28GG. After a wear or 2 the band is already loose and I'm having to wear it on tighter hooks. However, I've tried the 28G and it does not fit in the cup, so I'm stuck with the 30.

Other than that, the Deco is popular for a reason. It gives great cleavage, it puts your boobs front and center, and it's pretty much a no-show under tighter tops.

I've heard so many good things about this bra and since getting one for myself I can see why! It's the perfect t-shirt bra - the cups are completely smooth and give a great, rounded shape under clothing. At the same time, it also gives great cleavage so it's perfect for plunge necklines as well. This is the only bra I've ever bought that makes my breasts look as good as the model in the photos!

The straps are fully adjustable and made from a good robust fabric. I often need to shorten them after washing but I find this with several other bras too and it isn't a ... problem so long as I remember to do it! The closure is only two hooks rather than the three I usually find on bras in my size - a welcome change as I feel three is unnecessary and fiddly. The bra washes well and is comfortable to wear all day long, to the point that you forget you're wearing a bra. None of the wires poke as they don't come up as high under the arms as many plunge styles do. I find this means my breast tissue can escape out the sides sometimes and I have to readjust, but this doesn't cause discomfort.

The only other negative point I can make is that the band seems to run about a size too large. This is annoying for me as there is no 26 back, but I still find the bra comfortable and supportive when I wear it on the tightest hook. When it stretches after more wear I will probably stitch the band a little tighter - a minor inconvenience considering how much I love this bra!

I bought this with the 28DD size to see which one fit. The look and feel is the same so please see my review here: http://bratabase.com/browse/freya/antoinette-3925/28DD/.

    Fit:
The width of the cup was ok, but the cup itself was too baggy at the top for me. There was also some wrinkling on the sides of the bra as well. This model just didn't work for me. :\

    Look and Feel:

I really like the look of this bra. The colour I bought was lime, which is a little bit greener and brighter than the photos online show. The cups are lime green with white polka dots and the top has really pretty embroidery.

    Fit:

This bra actually fit really great, in the cups and the band. No poking, no gaping, no wrinkling. I really wanted to like this bra, but the problem was that it gave me a pointy shape. The bottoms of the cup look fine (natural and round), but the top was flattened and thus the pointyness.

    Look and feel:

The material is very smooth and silky and doesn't itch. It's a very basic looking bra but at the same time a bit prettier than plain bras because of the lace. Otherwise there's not much to say about the looks.

    Fit:

The band fit fine on me, but the cups were too narrow and the top of them cut into my chest. The wires also come up higher than plunge bras and the top line of the cups go straight across. The centre point ends 7cm from the bottom of the band.

Awesome bra! It has just the right amount of coverage - I'm not spilling out everywhere, and it's not up to my neck. The cleavage is great, and the fact that it doesn't have a ton of padding is a definite plus. I usually have a problem with wires coming up too high under the arm, but this is the perfect height. I don't have side cleavage, and I'm not getting stabbed in the armpit with a wire. If you're narrow and have problems with underwires being too long, I'd say give this bra a try.

I *love* this strapless bra! I had been struggling with a Fantasie strapless (4530) that was too big post weight loss and that was cut like a traditional strapless bra (i.e., a high center gore and complete coverage). This Freya is MUCH better, and not just because of proper sizing.

While the band is a bit snug (my ribcage measures 28" and I bought a 28 band), I have always found that it is best to wear the smallest size possible in the band when purchasing a strapless bra (there is nothing worse than slippage throughout the night!). I also *love* the plunge neckline and the lift it gives my breast. Absolutely amazing. I can't believe a strapless bra makes my boobs look so sexy!

This is probably a good bra. It is NOT a good bra for me, though. I have a narrow torso and narrow breasts, and the wide wires and wide bridge in this bra pushed my boob out to the sides and made me look chunky. Also it was not very comfortable, the wires felt as though they were cutting into me. Maybe it just runs larger in the cup than other Freya bras? I don't know, this is the only Freya I have tried.

Pros: seems to be sturdy, not a very stretchy band, the band is wide enough to prevent bulging, 3 hooks in the back, leotard back.

Cons: VERY wide underwires, very wide bridge, the fabric in the cups is not attractive and seems kind of cheap, (I expect better from Freya), cup chafes the front of my armpits, cup fabric started shredding after only a handful of wears.

This is the first time I've tried a "lightly padded" Freya. I own and love the Deco which is a thermally-molded, padded contour bra so it is thicker, and I take 1-size up from the unlined styles (Deco = 30G, unlined = 30FF, hence my id name).

The band fits well and the cup feels mostly good however I wanted to try 2 cup sizes to tell the difference. The half-cup style sits lower than a balcony, it is basically a demi bra. For this reason as well as the light padding I went with the larger G-cup because the girls sit more comfortable without fear of falling out. ... The shape is overall very good, nice and rounded both parts: inside cup and tissue above. This FF has a slight quad-boob effect going on and the center gore is just a bit farther from laying flat than I would prefer.

The colors are stunning and seem appropriate for year round. Floral shades of reds, browns & oranges with olive green trim. Some images online gave me hope the trim would be dark yellow but it's really a soft olive green which compliments the red tones very well.

This one gets returned for slightly too small cups.
