I'm between 30DD-E, but the Piper Longline in 30E was clearly too big. There was gaping at the top of the cups, no matter how long or short I adjusted the straps. It's no surprise that the cups run large-ish. In fact, I experienced that in most Freya longlines and halfcups. (The Freya Just Flew In Padded Longline Bra (1393) is the only exception as it fit me perfectly in that size.)
So: The band runs true to size. It's firm. The cups run true to size to slightly large and more projected than the JFI longline.
I liked the fact that the Piper Longline (cornflower blue) had 3 rows of hooks instead of just 2.
Comfy. Cute. Lightweight...would be nice in the summer.
Close to enough projection for me it not quite, rides down on me. But comfy enough to stay in the daily rotation. I love Freya's fully adjustable straps because I am high set. The gore is fairly narrow all the way down (compared to Cleo which runs narrow up top but spreads too much near the band for me). I really like the Freya I padded bras I have tried so far.
About the GG changes freya makes: straps are a bit wider. They go to 3 hook bras (awesome). There is boning just outside of the cup ...under the armpit for slimming and to keep breast migrating to where it belongs (in my 36g morning meadow, the same side seam is there but with no boning). The wires measure narrower than their g and below counterparts. But they do stretch more when worn, and it seems they are designed too (not just a flimsy wire problem). For me this is good- bras that's cups go vertical at the outer wire (steep U) cause me pinchy armpit pain, while those that taper up and out more slowly don't hurt me. These look super U shaped on the hanger, but have a nice shape when on. Read more 109 more words
Such a sexy bra. But it didn't fit me. I didn't expect it to, but wanted to try.
Great projection. Has side support and 3 hooks. Not see thru on the bottom like in smaller cup sizes- it's more of an opaque mesh with sheer mesh and light pink detailing on the top.
This bra is very comfortable and fits pretty well, though I think the wires are a little too wide for me--it looks and feels fine, but the wires definitely go out a little too far for me, even though I think my root is fairly wide. The wires seem less wide in my Totally Tartan longline, but the cut is similar. I think a narrower wire would give me a better fit.
I tried this in a 28F as well, and although I was getting a barely noticeable amount of quadboob I think it could have worked too. I was just wary of the bra becoming painful after a ...long day (I get fibrocystic breasts occasionally). The 28F did not gap as much when I slouched or moved around. The 28FF has more noticeable gapping when I move, but I have pretty good posture anyway and you can't tell under my shirts.
The straps are fully adjustable. The band has two hooks, but my Rixie Clip won't work as the hook spacing is a little farther apart on the bra, which is disappointing! Unfortunately, the band seems to ride up in the back after wearing it all day. I may alter the band to make it a little smaller.
The bra gives a nice round, uplifted shape, though I saw more uplift in the smaller size. The two vertical seams are visible under tight shirts. The pattern is super cute (I have this in the ballet pink color). Read more 136 more words
This is a really great-looking bra--to me, the denim print makes it fun and not overly feminine. There's no lace to show under tight-fitting shirts, just a small trim, and the seams aren't terribly visible either. The shape is nice and round and it gives pretty good lift.
The fit is my best yet. I wore this all day yesterday on the loosest hooks and it was consistently tight, which is nice when you have a sub-28 underbust; it didn't stretch out over the course of the day and I felt well-supported. The underwires didn't poke and are a perfect length for my build. The bottom of the band ...didn't roll up for me at all. I was really impressed with how it stayed in place.
However, the edging of the material is rigid and the bra's wings really dug into my shoulder muscles (I lift weights and have a high-set chest so this may not be a problem for everyone). I was actually surprised when I took the bra off at the end of the day and it hadn't broken my skin. I'm hoping the fabric will soften up with a few more wears, and I won't wear it for 12+ hours again if I can help it!
If you're not used to longlines, like me (this was my first!), you might have a difficult time putting the thing on. It's got six hooks and I had to get my husband to help. I'm sure with a bit of practice it'll get easier.
UPDATE, 11/23: One week in and this is absolutely my most comfortable and best-fitting bra yet. It's no longer painful at all and seems to have loosened up a bit, but it still stays in place way better than any of my other bras (I have 26ish-inch ribcage, so 28 bands are usually a little big). I'd recommend this bra without reservations and I'm planning on purchasing more of Freya's longlines! Read more 213 more words
The Freya Marvel in Black runs like a true 28 band should fit. The band is not loose like the other Freya's that I own. What I mean about the band fit is that I cannot pull the band away from my back more than two fingers. Once I adjusted the straps on the Marvel I had no problems with it. It's not my favorite bra but its on my top ten list. I do have another Marvel in the same size on the way in the Butterscotch.
This is my very first Deco bra and I am in absolute love with it. It is very comfortable both in the cups, straps, and band. It's going to be an everyday bra for me. I wish it was in a different color than black but that's only because I love colorful bras. I bought this bra from another user.
This is the first bra I've owned that actually covers my entire boob (really, I was probably sized WAY too small, but still). The top of the cup lies perfectly flat, as does the center. The straps feel tight when they're at a good length, but the fabric probably just needs to be broken into. The cups are also super soft and I feel really secure in the bra as a whole. Also looks great under clothes!
Very pretty! The underwires are very hard and digs in a bit but that feels a bit better after bending them. The straps chafe a little but I've had that with other bras in the beginning as well so I think when I've worn it a couple of times it will go away!
I had to order a smaller band size (I am usually a 32E) so that's good to have in mind.
I wear the Freya Deco in 32FF but I have problems with gaping at the top. Tried it in 32 F and now have quadboob. Looks like it's back to the 32FF for me.
I bought this as I was told it had the same fit as Freya Deco, Crystal etc, however I found that it runs comparatively smaller in a 28G cup. I'm not sure if the velvet trim along the top might affect the amount of "give" in the cup, but I get a fair amount of overspill and creasing/folding over at the bottom of the cup. I don't wear this bra as it just doesn't look right.
I love the Freya Deco range and have worn this bra to death since I bought it as it was the first 28G I'd tried after realising that the 30FF's I was wearing were too loose in the back for me. The fit is great on me, aside from a tiny bit of quad boob on the slightly larger right side - but my assymetry is only marginal so in practical terms it really isn't an issue. After a LOT of wear (a couple of years) the band has finally started to perish and one wire has poked through but I have so few bras that actually fit me I still haven't managed to throw it out! I'm fairly firm busted as far as G cups go and I'm desperately seeking other relatively low-coverage plunge/half cup bras that suit my body type so that I can finally lay this one to rest.
Love this bra. I struggle to find bras that work on my fairly firm breasts and virtually all balconnettes give me a quad boob effect. The @Deco Flamingo gives great (but not over the top) cleavage, while still being supportive for every day wear. I do get a bit of a quad boob from my slightly larger breast but I think the GG would be a little on the big side. The band is very stretchy and after a few wears I needed to wear it on the tightest hook to feel secure. I like the top stitching on the cups as I think it makes the cups less likely to stretch with wear like some of my standard @Decos have. The print is pretty and fun, however it does show through tight fitting tops - really wish Freya made its @Deco shape in some pale colours (other than boring nude) that were suitable for wearing under tight fitting or light coloured clothes.
The one thing that I love the most about this bra are the straps. They aren't anything special but they are really comfortable. I also love how the cups feel and how they enclose my breasts.
I am not quite full enough on the top to fill the bra out, however, it fits wonderfully everywhere else. Was comfortable wearing while and work and constantly changing position, it did not shift on me at all.
This band runs tight with my 32 measuring a stretched band of 31". The cups seem to be like my other Deco Plunge bras, which I've read runs big. It's very comfortable and is very pretty!
The band seems true to size. I can't tell if the cups fit differently than other Deco Plunge bras or if the cut is slightly different so it shows that it's too small. In any case, I am getting some quadding out the top of the cup when I don't on other styles of the Deco Plunge. It's really cute and the material is so soft. I also LOVE the straps. They feel silky and even though they are wide, they are really comfortable and not too rigid.
I've changed sizes and the 34 is quite a bit too big for me. The cup size also isn't right but is disguised by the open style of the cups. The underwires go back pretty far which is great for me. A problem I had with this bra is the straps dug in to my arms when I moved them. It was actually so bad that it left bruises. I think this may be partly because of the thickness and rigidness of the straps. They don't have any give when moving around. I remedied this by wrapping the straps in some thick cotton material. They no longer dig in and are now quite comfy.
