The band runs somewhat big, which is typical for a Deco. The cups give a rounded shape and great cleavage, but they're quite shallow on the bottom.

Such a cute bra! It is really tight on me, though. I think it is because I am quite heavy considering my band size, and I think my stomach is actually too large for the longline band. It is wearable, but I wouldn't want to wear it all day. The fit is decent as well. I love the thick, but non-molded cups. This is one I might hold into in hopes that if I lose a little weight, it might fit better.

Adding the photos to illustrate a 32GG in a standard Freya cup on me - the bottom of the cup isn't deep enough, causing wrinkling, and the underwires hurt.

  5. Ada Plunge Balcony Bra (1351)

Interestingly, Bratabase marks this bra as "fits' because there's no option for "bottom of cup needs more depth". It didn't fit, and I returned it.

The band is extremely comfortable, and I fill the cups (there's slight bubbling on the seam line at the material change), but the bottom of the cup wrinkles and flattens me out. At first, I thought it was too large, but I realized it was the opposite - the cup doesn't have enough depth. It pushed me into a very pointy profile. I'm afraid the next size up, however, would be too large in the cup.

    • I think Freya just generally makes a pointy shape. I actually tried on this bra in the same size as you today. It was pretty nice but also pointy. It looked okay, but with a shirt on it looked really weird. Like I had small, saggy, pointy boobs. I don't really think I have either though!
So I think Freya is only for some.

    Didn't fit

I had heard that Freya Ashlee (1001) and Freya Taylor (4971) ran smaller than Freya Deco (4234) . Having tried the Deco and finding it either too large in 28F or too small in 28E, I wanted to see if Ashlee would work for me.

Since I have shallow, wide rooted boobs, plunges generally do not work for me. Overall, the Ashlee is an improvement from the Deco. Still, I find that the cups could be a little wider and the gore a bit narrower. I'm not sure how I feel about the cups. After scooping and swooping, I fill the cups fine. However, if I move my shoulders forward, there's a bit of a gap at the top.

Design-wise, I like the Ashlee. It has some nice ribbon and lace embellishments that look fine under a fitted top. I do wish the straps were more comfortable. They are a good thickness, but not very soft or stretchy.

Hello cleavage! A bra for when you want to get noticed... The regular deco had too tall cups for me, but this has lower cups so it's a better fit. Actually the cups are a bit too low under the arm and the gore is a bit too wide but I don't mind because cleavage https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" />

I don't think I ever realize how much I missed having a 'cute' bra until I tried the Marina on. Seriously, the last time I was able to fit into one of those cute bras from the department stores was 6 grade...

I absolutely LOVE the dark floral (?) pattern of this bra and the satinny purple piping along the seams only make it better! My husband is the artist, so I'll take his word when he talks about the lighter accents drawing your eye around the lines of the bra (blah, blah blah) but I kind of understands what he means in this case. My Freya Deco ... is a single color all over and when I look in the mirror it's like, BLAM, there's two big splotches of teal staring back at me. With the Marina, it really does give you something else to focus on visually other than the breasts themselves.

Like my Freya Patsy bras, (which are half-cups as well) the fit on the Marina is pretty spot on. I'm tempted to try a 36F to just compare how I fill that out. I think I fill the cups of the FF pretty well (and possibly will fill better with time) but there is a smidgen of gaping at the top when I move my shoulders. Wires are well covered and do not poke.

Strangely, I think the fabric of this band is A LOT stretchier than the 38E Patsy I bought last month. Laid side by side, the 36 is obviously smaller than the 38, but it stretches nearly as far. It holds ok now, but stretches easily when I pull on it. I'm hesitant to go down to a 34 band, but I also can't try it with this model as it was clearance and the shop didn't have it in the smaller band. May have to look into shortening it myself to get the best fit.

The straps are wider than some of the other Freya models I have which can be a good thing. The construction of the back of the bra holds everything in place very nicely.

When I put on the bra, there's a little gaping on the top. Even after I scoop and let my breasts settle, there's still some gaping. I can't tell if I need to go down to a 30F (30FF???) or my breasts are just not compatible with this bra.

The gaping combined with the thicker material of the bra makes the tops of bra visible underneath a plain t-shirt.

Also, it gives me a more rounded appearance from the front. I like bras that push my breasts together because it doesn't make me look as top heavy. It's not so bad that I want to return it.

    Fits

The material of this bra is somewhat strange (in that I've never owned a bra like this before) but it's really soft and comfortable and doesn't itch. I could technically be wearing a 28FF (which I do with the Deco Flamingo) but I actually prefer a somewhat looser band, and I can comfortably fit two (and only two) fingers under the band under the loosest hook.

This bra is perfect for my shape, which is full on bottom, wide root, and somewhat shallow. The wires are really wide, and don't come up too high on the sides which I like. I really want to look into other Freya half-cup bras, as they seem to suit my shape very nicely.

Need a bra extender, but thats fine as I am normally 32 anyway
quad boob just on one side annoyingly!
Wires also pushed forward by boobs so just too small for me!
good straps that adjust all the way, but weight of boob pulls it down causing them to lengthen over the day
some backfat escaping as wires are low on the armpit
diagnoal shape of cup cuts through tissue causing the quad boob
nice solid bra and pretty pattern, well made.

I wasn't sure I would like this bra when I first went to try it on. The fabric on the outside of the bra is a tightly woven mesh, and I was certain that detail, combined with the lace would be a recipe for disaster. But upon trying it on I found it to be incredibly comfortable, and the best fit for my breasts out of all of the bra I'd tried on that day. It has quickly become my favorite bra in my arsenal, and has continued to be comfortable and supportive through all-day wear.

The design is feminine, and fun without being excessive. The pink is incredibly ... subtle, and meshes well with the design. Unlike the usual stark black and white I normally find in polka-dotted anything, the muted pink makes this bra much less obvious under a t-shirt than it could be otherwise. The stitching on the front, and lace detail WILL show through shirts made of thin material though, so it is probably best worn with tops that aren't as tight against the body, or that have a pattern that will camouflage the impressions.

The padding is minimal, just enough to keep erect nipples from being obvious through a shirt, without adding bulk to your breasts. It provides enough coverage for me to keep mine from showing through even in thin shirts, but my nipples are on the smaller side, so those with more prominent nipples may or may not have issues with it.

Overall, I am VERY happy with this bra.

This bra is very pretty. I love the little gray-ish bows on the gore and straps. When held up to the light it is definitely sheer, but that isn't very noticeable when it's on (at least for me because I have tanner skin). I can wear the band on the tightest hooks, but that's too be expected because I measure ~25.75" snug and 24" BTT. The cups too closed of in the center (I am full in the center as well as full on top) and/or too small. I can't tell exactly which or whether it's a combination, but I definitely have some spillover. It gives a little bit of a pointy shape as well.

  15. Nina Plunge Balcony Bra (4981)

It is comfortable and supportive. Like most Freya bras I have the issue that the top of the bra comes up high and isn't completely full, but the middle of the bra (where the cups meet) is starting to cut very slightly so I don't think I can go down a size. However in this bra this issue doesn't seem as pronounced as in other Freya styles and although in the pictures I think it is obvious and I can see some puckering, in real life I don't think it is noticeable.
Initially i didn't like the pattern as I am not really into pink (there is ... a blueish version of this bra which I prefer, but isn't made in 28 for some reason). However I think the pattern will grow on me so I bought it anyway as it feels so comfortable.

I am adding the following comment to my original review.
I never actually wear this as it just doesn't quite work for my shape, although it comes closer than lots of other freya styles. Bratabase shows that it fits but I don't think it really does, but it is hard to say why not. On each of the fit questions it is ok, and yest it just isn't quite right.

Even though I bought this same time, same place as my other 30G - Freya » Deco (4234), I found that it felt stretched out and ill-fitting sooner. Same issues as I described in my other Deco reviews.
However, it is very pretty. I fell in love with it aesthetically before I'd ever tried it on. The straps have this wonderful edging that looks so beautiful, and love the little bows and buttons. The blue is a pretty shade and looks so striking and sex with the black pin stripes. I wish it had been more comfortable longer.

When I bought this bra, I was like, "Yeah, it's just like my 30G - Freya » Deco (4234) Deco except in purple and up a cup size!" But it's not really the same. The cups feel stiffer and less comfortable. The straps are also thicker and are trying to do some weird folding over thing. There's a pretty lace overlay décor on the band.
I have a similar problem in this as I do to my other Decos. Though the cup often feels too small, many movements of my arms pushes the stiff cup outwards, which creates a very visible line underneath clothing. I like the Decos because they're so smooth under shirts, but when this started happening, they stopped being loveable.
