Sigh. After trying on the Ivy Longline and falling in love with the style, I picked up the Piper Longline in one cupsize bigger, thinking it would solve the quad boob issues I had with my Ivy. Sadly, this was not the case. The Ivy fabric was slightly different and allowed for my fuller breasts to shape the cups a little more, whereas my fuller breasts in the Piper push the bra down my ribcage and cause all kinds of problems. I don't fill the bottom, the underwire is about a cm below the bottoms of my breasts, *and* I'm getting quad boob. Shame, because this bra looks so lovely otherwise. Definitely a bra for the shallow-breasted.
I love the look of this bra, but the material has a tendency to be a little bit scratchy after four hours of wearing. For a sexy bra it's great! The band is also too big for my underbust when I am my normal 28. Bjt when I gain weight this band works, but doesn't stay still, which is where the fabric becomes annoying.
Description: a beige molded-plunge bra. Straps are fully adjustable, 2 hook-and-eye closure at back.
Pros: Hides great under clothes, supportive, great shape. Great "every-day" bra. Gives great cleavage and a great profile under clothes; nice projected look.
Cons: I have a Freya Deco 28G in black and there is something that I don't understand between the two...people warned me that the black Decos ran smaller (due to the black dye process "cinching" fabric and making it tighter all over), but the black Deco came into my life first and is a perfect fit on me. HOWEVER: the beige Deco I received (finally) this week? I'm freakin' quadding with my larger breast. Witchcraft!!
I don't have the time or patience to find a GG (I think I'm sized out after G's anyway), so I'm going to adjust myself as needed in this bra. I don't think anyone else has had this issue of a beige Deco running small. Hopefully this is just water weight and not a factory defect.
- Comfort: Excellent. - Underwire: Excellent. - Cups: Problematic - Loose fabric/fold on top, enough room to slip my hand in the top. - Gore: Slightly problematic - did not lie flush on chest, but that is because I have boobs that are very close together. - Band: Excellent - fits well but is quite stretchy, I can see this one stretching out too much in time. - Straps: Excellent. - Style: Ehrmagerd adorable.
I love this bra, but then again it is the first bra that fits me correctly... I bought two, black and nude, and they fit me really well. I love that the band does not ride and is wide enough. My boobs are up where they belong without using a lot of extra padding. At first the nude bra poked under my arm but now that I broke it in, I haven't had a problem. It stretched slightly over the month, but just to the middle hook (so I hope I have awhile with this bra.) Simple bows on the really wide straps are cute, but now I need a strapless bra that fits!
Pros: fits well, simple, comfortable, everyday wear Cons: Pokes at first, really wide straps (but then again, I'm used to bras that don't properly fit... so are there bras this size with thin straps?)
As I mentioned in my other Lacey review, I bought two of these, one NWT and this one, worn once and washed and sold on ebay, and this one fits much better. The other Lacey has numerous issues, but this fits perfectly! And it's cute, to boot. Couldn't be happier with it.
I bought two of these bras - this one (NWT) and one worn once, and they fit very differently (maybe the other one shrank when the original owner washed it?). This one is noticeably bigger in the cups. I thought at first the shape was bad for me - I mostly fill it out, but there's some extra fabric close to the bottom of the cup on the center edge, as well as some extra fabric close to where the center is, where the three cup construction meets. This one also painfully cuts into the front of my armpits, but that might be as a result of my having to make the straps so short.
The band is looser compared to other 32's I've tried. The cup go pretty high on the sides which is nice because it keeps the tissue there in but after moving around a bit the tissue escapes and the cups wrinkle a bit. This might be an individual thing.
It my first time ordering this size and I was afraid the cups would be too big or I'd have gaping but it fits kind of perfectly.
It's comfortable. And I love how delicate the embroidery looks against the sheer cup.
I bought this bikini 5 years ago, but Freya has similar ones in every collection. Essentially, it fits fine, but it doesn't stay put too well.. meaning that you can get quad boob effect easily. At the moment I fill out the cup completely, so it stays put better than when my boobs were a tiny bit smaller. I think the problem is that the top layer, the printed fabric, is never attached to the wires. Do Not attempt to go down a slide with it, especially not if you also have tie-up bottoms. On the bright side: it looks gorgeous against tanned skin, and after 5 years of infrequent use it's still in tip top shape... and no see-through. Buut... next time I'd probably pick a different model for my active style.
This is the first soft cup bra I've worn in a long time, and I actually like it. The seam isn't super obvious under clothes, which is important to me. It's supportive, doesn't try to saw off my arms in the strap/upper cup area (as most tend to do), and seems to make a good shape. I like it.
I LOVE this pattern and the fit of this bra. It's incredibly sexy, totally comfortable and uplifting. Excellent for deep breasts (full in the centre), close set. Alas, the band has stretched out over the years (and it wasn't super tight to begin with).
This is my fave bra from Freya. It gives a pointier shape than Pollyanna, but the cup runs large & it is the only bra that can accommodate PMS swelling with total comfort. (I go up around 1/2 cup size for 4 days each month so that's a welcome feature). I do get the 'Freya fold' that little diagonal loose area on the top of the cup, even tho I'm a full on top shape, but it's not noticeable.
The fabric is very comfy, & is the only GG+ style that Freya hasn't ruined for me with that laminated fabric I find so obnoxious. It does have vertical stays which I remove with a seam-ripper. After that, very, very comfy.
Sadly, it's been discontinued in all but white & black. I buy the white, then dye it with food coloring, which works nicely. Here's a pix of the one I dyed bubble gum pink. The other is a Curvy Kate Princess dyed pale blue.
Best Freya straps ever! Satiny smooth, & polka dots. I really like the absence of those serrated scallops on the usual straps that can irritate after a while. These are so great.
I tried this in an H because for one week a month my otherwise perfectly fitting Pollyanna & Ellie are uncomfortably tight. Jolie adjusts to the changes easily, but I wanted another option. Daphne is great for this, but the cup is too big for the rest of the time. I only wear her for PMS week.
I was hoping for the silky fabric of Mischa or Iona, but no. It's that 'laminated' lower cup, the same as the GG+ Pollyanna. I really dislike the feel of it next to my skin, kind of like starched gauze. Im beginning to worry that Jolie is the only style that has escaped this 'feature'. The shape is also fairly pointy on me.
The Deco Strapless is ok. Not spectacular, just ok.
It stays up. It's fairly comfortable. But, the cups are just not perfect. They don't capture all of my boobs, so there are some armpit fat issues. The top of the cups don't contour my boobs well, particularly near my armpits, where there is some spillage.
This bra is really comfortable. I'm very fond of wire-free bras and haven't found any other brands that make wire-free in a 28 band.
Unfortunately, it's just not flattering. There is wrinkling at the bottom of the cups. Sometimes if I don't keep my shoulders back, there is some gapping at the top of the cup. And of course the gore doesn't lie flat.
It is certainly hard to close the one million hooks, but it looks so pretty! It covers a little less than my other bras; sometimes I think the boobs are escaping a little. It also pokes a little under my arms by the end of the day, but if I scoop again, it helps. The material is quite good and the print is gorgeous.
