I mistakenly bought this instead of the plunge version, and it’s a disaster. The straps are so wide they’re sliding off me. I’m normally a 36HH/J and the band is a comfortable/non-snug 36 but not huge, while the cups are possibly a full cup size too big. However, there is virtually no projection at the wire! Just looking at it before putting it on, you can see the quick upward slope.

I’m FOB and close set with narrow shoulders, and this did NOT work for me at all. It might work for someone with top or apex projection, evenly or top full, and broad shoulders.

I love this bra! The gold color is divine. I feel pretty in it. Somehow this bra provides me with centering and forward projection while also eliminating cleavage (I prefer not to have cleavage. I purchased this bra because I was tired of only buying bras that we more "balconette" style. I don't like how balconettes look, I don't like how the straps connect to the cups with the little bow. They're tolerable and just fine in a good fit, but I don't love it. This bra looked unique, and it delivered! The straps are slightly more centered because of the high apex style, and I don't ... get any of that pinchy feeling by the armpits that can sometimes happen with balconettes where the straps connect. The wires are so comfy compared to my past Cleo and panache bras! The lace overlay around the band is cute, and would make it look kind of like a longline if it would lay flat. but if you have any extra skin/tissue/body fat on your ribcage, it isn't going to stay flat. Sorry. It's not uncomfortable and doesn't bother me.

This may not count as a technically perfect fit though. Here are my "fit issues":
    - the cup is somewhat closed on top with a bit of elastic. Occasionally this will cut into my tissue (not painfully) depending on how I am sitting/standing/moving. IT is not noticeable under clothing, and was less noticeable at the end of the day so I think as the elastic wears, it will diminish. However, I don't think this style would be appropriate for FOT breasts for this reason. Even-fullness and close-set breasts will likely also have an issue with it. I think it will work best for short roots(me) or FOB, even though the high apex might deter you.
-the gore is slightly too wide for me. Because the wires are soft, it doesn't hurt or bother me. I may alter it later.
    - I have to wear it on the second hook. Can't buy a smaller band because it only goes up to a G cup in this style. sad face

Regardless of this, I love this bra so much I immediately purchased it in two more colors. I also got the matching boyshorts and they are so soft and comfy. Very cute set, highly recommend.

The cups are a little small for me, but it was on sale and I wanted to try it. At first I thought that the cups ran a little big, then I thought maybe they were just on the wide side, but oddly, they actually fit much better now and ideally I'd go up a cup size. The gore is nice and low and very sturdy. The band is very stretchy, and in fact it stretches pretty noticeably after a few hours of wear, but the wires are very hard, and as the band stretches, the wires start to rotate and push on my ribs. But this happens ... with looser bands, too, so I don't think going up in the band would solve this issue. (Starting to think there's a rib flare issue.) Still, I'm pretty pleasantly surprised with this bra, considering I bought it on a whim for $20.

At first I thought that the fabric seemed a little low-quality, but it actually feels very comfortable, supportive, and soft when worn, and the flower print and color scheme has grown on me. (You can see it through a thin shirt, though.) The straps are a little overdecorated, but not uncomfortable. They do stretch quite a bit, though. The decorative edge on the band isn't as sharp as the Fancies line, so it's more comfortable.

Overall, it's a very sturdy, comfortable bra, with surprising coverage and reasonable depth. It's serviceable as an everyday bra, but with the amount of lift I got and the really rounded shape (and cleavage) it gives, it would be nice for a special occasion, too. (It does squish my boobs somewhat and give me that side boob crease, but I've just accepted that all bras are going to do that unless I eventually try a Polish bra.) It's not a perfect shape match for me, but if I get the chance and it's the same price or less, I'll try it in a 32J.

The only thing I would caution is that while I thought I my breasts were fully in the cup and the wire was sitting in my IMF, and I was comfortable at first, after a few hours my ribs and breasts hurt, so I finally moved it down and realized that I think it had been sitting on breast tissue. I don't know if I situated it wrong or it migrated. It was more comfortable then, but obviously it fit differently and sat much lower, so while the gore was actually very nice that low, the bottoms of the cups wrinkled slightly because there wasn't enough projection at the wire for me, so my breasts couldn't sit as deeply in the cups. It's not a dealbreaker, but definitely it wouldn't be my first choice for a full coverage bra with very projected breasts.

This is a good bra for projected breasts. It does squish a bit if I tighten the straps a lot, so I've left them a little looser to prevent that and they do slip off my shoulders (constantly), but that's not a big deal. With the straps looser, there's still lots of support, but plenty of room for my boobs to sit where they'd like to be. (There's still a little squishing, but it doesn't hurt, which is what really matters.) There's just slightly more fabric on the sides than I need, but if the shape was just a bit different (like if that room on the sides ... was instead just slightly more depth), it would be an absolutely perfect fit for me. There's no side support whatsoever, which is fine for me, but if you've got wider or very east-west boobs, you might find a lot of boob being squished almost under your arm.

The gore pretty much tacks. There's about a finger's width (or two) of space under it at the top, with less toward the bottom, but I don't really expect gores to tack all that much, and it's pretty firm at the very bottom. There's actually really good separation going on with this bra. My breasts are very firmly held, not falling into the middle, and there's no cleavage whatsoever. They look much smaller in this bra. There's still a lot of boob showing, but it's not inappropriate and there's really not that much jiggle. And there's still a lot more coverage than I normally manage to get. I have to jump up and down to get some movement, and even then, the bra stays put and my boobs don't hurt. So there's plenty of support. And! The cup isn't buckling at the wire and being pushed down into my ribs! The elastic at the top of the cups is comfortable and not digging in or leaving a red indent on my boobs after I take it off. I can lean over, bend down, or twist, and the bra doesn't move or really dig in.

I'm really, really happy with it. It'd be nice if the gore were just a little narrower, because it does dig into my boobs just a bit, but it's tolerable. The straps are very wide-set, but they don't hurt--it just contributes to the slipping. Overall, it looks really nice, it's very light and breathable, and it's not obvious under clothes.

Update: After a few hours, the gore does start to tilt out a bit and the underwires push down into my ribs. I think the bands on the Fancies line are just very stretchy. It's still fairly comfortable, but I do feel it at that point.

I have been looking for some bras without wires for a while now. I'm realizing my job probably won't go back to in person, at least for a long time, and I'm finding that I am wearing bralettes more than actual bras. There are not a lot of choices around for small band 'big' cup sizing so I decided to try this one again. I tried this bra in the VERY beginning of my bra journey and I liked it a lot even though it did not technically fit. I wish I could go back and tell myself that if you like it and it doesn't hurt you, ... then keep it! I was so focused on finding the EXACT PERFECT bra that I sold/swapped a few bras that I liked. This bra was one of those.
Although my normal size is a 28F, I chose a 28E based on prior experience and other reviews. The cups are tall and wide and the straps are stretchy so I knew that having cups up to my chin wasn't going to work for me lol! I also knew that the band was really stretchy, but the bra I got seems nice and tight. It may be that it stretches quickly, but it feels good right now. This bra doesn't technically fit me, I get some quadding and it's too wide for my roots, but I will still probably keep it because it's comfortable and a color that matches my skin color relatively well.

I usually wear 30DD/28E. I have fairly even breasts with average-wide roots and tallish roots where the tissue thins out over a larger slope on top.

    ---

It's probably been years since I last tried a Freya bra, and I was expecting it to be different than my last attempt but it was even worse LOL.

The band on this thing is huge. While I still wear all my old 28E bras, my snug underbust is more of a 29" now, and I could fasten this thing with zero stretching of the band.

The cups are also too large, though not disastrously so. I was surprised at how ok the pictures looked, ... because the cups are definitely feel too big. There is even gapping at the sides (above the underwire at the side but to the side of the strap) which I don't think I have ever experienced. I wish I had tried this in 26E if that were a size available lol, the band was much too big and I want to order one cup size down.

I wear mostly Cleo and Panache bras, and I have not tried many Freya bras. However I am surprised at how flexible/thin the underwire is. Don't know how it compares to other Freya bras though. Kind of weirds me out lol

The pattern is cute though. I do wish it fit.

I tried this bra in the following sizes: 32F, 32FF, 34F. This one, the 32FF was the winner! 🎉

    ## KEEP OR CHANGE

🤩 This one's the keeper - in other bras, I'm a 34F, but the band on this bra stretched a LOT I've only tried this color so I'm not sure if it's the style or the style+color. 32F starts to compress so it was no surprise the 32FF has the right volume.

Review for 34F (with measurements) https://www.bratabase.com/bra/dn7m6/

    ## FIT OVERVIEW

    - Band is a snug and comfortable
    - Gore sits nicely
    - Cups are just right
    - Straps are fine
    - Wire sits comfortably
    - Material is nice.

    ## MATERIALS & CONSTRUCTION

    - Backband power mesh
    - Three (3) piece bottom cup is stretch lace lined with foam lining
    - Top cup piece galloon lace with foam lining
    - Frame and two-piece gore are lined with a mesh tricot
    - Hook & eye is plush backed with soft edges

    ## FIT OVERVIEW

    - Band is a bit loose
    - Gore fits nicely
    - Cups perfectly fits my larger side
    - Straps are fine
    - Wire feels good but sits best when fastened on the middle hooks
    - Padding is soft & seams are softly covered.
    - Material is nice. Lace is soft the foam is not scratchy
    - Visibility: no texture or lines showing under a mid-weight sweater, seams show on a super-thin t-shirt.

    ## SHOULD I STAY OR SHOULD I GO NOW

🤷‍♀️IDK, It fits ok but I think I can get a better fit.

🚨UPDATE:: I love the 32FF - Sister size, smaller band same cup volume - review: https://www.bratabase.com/bra/dn7qw/
I think it's because ... this band is a much stretchier "34in" band than other styles by Freya and the couple of other brands I've tried.

    ## FIT OVERVIEW

    - Band is a bit snug, but not uncomfortable
    - Gore is a bit wide (15/16 in)
    - Cups are too big, I can pinch out a 1/2" pleat (~1" total) in the top cup then the shape "starts" to fill in
    - Straps had to be so tight that my underarm chafes, and it still doesn't fill the cup volume
    - Wire feels snug, maybe U-shaped? Long @ 11.5"
    - Material is nice. Lace is almost like a plastic mesh which doesn't seem to catch as bad as lace and the performance knit is a soft alternative to power mesh

    ## SHOULD I STAY OR SHOULD I GO NOW

Return (34:F), will ... not try other sizes.

If I downsize the cup I am concerned I would end up with a narrower wire which not be more comfortable and a too-snug band. The gore feels wide and might be coming up too high on my sternum.'

Not sure if the balcony style is right for me.

    ## MATERIALS & CONSTRUCTION

    - Backband is a lovely poly performance knit (not a power mesh)
    - Two (2) piece bottom cup is mesh, lined with a mesh tricot
    - Top cup piece mesh only (reinforced to prevent stretch)
    - Frame and two-piece gore are lined with a mesh tricot
    - Hook & eye is soft nylon backed, but doesn't overhand much so at the largest setting, causing the hook's seam to scratches a bit

XL is supposedly like up to 38HH. The band is crazy big for me who normally wear 34 bands ofc but I had to get the biggest size so I could "fit" the cups. Still on the smaller side in the cups. It doesn't give much lift or anything, and the straps are pretty thin. I only wore for short periods about 10 times in a year and it has now ripped open in the lace cup.

Like someone else said it had a weird shiny metal bow on the gore that shines through tops so I cut it off. if you find it and need a little ... lounge bra and actually fit into their sizing, sure give it a go.

Update: Now that I've tried another Freya bralette , the "wild" bralette, I will say that this one has more room in the "cups" than the Wild does, and while this has thin straps, at least they're adjustable so the band doesn't ride up like Wild does. However this one is poor quality since it ripped easily however that can also be because it's trying to support my heavy boobs and it's not supposed to do that https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" />

    • Too bad about the low quality. Most of these letter-sized bralettes only fit up to a certain cup size. Since they assume XL is large size in both cup and band they can never fit small band / large cup. Curvy Kate makes bralettes up to JJ cup but they are not very supportive.
Which one I can recommend: https://www.bravissimo.com/products/zara-bralette-ln605/#black-ln605blk I just got one in 34HH/J will have to add here with info and pics.

Even though this bralette technically doesn't fit me, I think it's great for what it is. I normally wear a 32J UK in other Freya bras, and I tried this out in a Large. Freya only recommends this bralette to up to a HH cup, so I expected it to be a bit small. It rides up slightly in the back as well. It is very comfortable in spite of these things. It holds things in enough for me to sleep and lounge in it, and the mesh somehow conceals the nipples enough that I feel comfortable wearing it during videoconferences for work. This is so comfortable that I purchased this in two more colors (emerald and olive) in addition to buttermilk.

I have such a love hate relationship with Freya. Their bras are so pretty, but it always seems like something is off and makes them not work for me. This bra has some comfort and fit issues.

The main issue I have with the fit is the cups go up too high for my tissue. I'm full on bottom and I also believe I have short roots. This is a bad combo with how high the cups come up. I get a lot of wrinkling on my smaller breast and a bit of wrinkling on the top of the cup of my larger breast. I think this bra ... would be better suited for tall roots or maybe full on top. The wrinkling does disappear when I wear tops, so it is still wearable when I'm washing my other bras.

Comfort is the main issue I have with this bra. The gore isn't particularly high, since it's a plunge. Unfortunately, despite having a lower gore, it presses into my sternum really hard. After a few hours of wear, it starts hurting. I end up trying to adjust the gore every so often so that it isn't constantly pressing into the same place.

I really wanted to like this bra, but it just isn't for me. Maybe some day I'll find a Freya bra that works for me.
