I bought this in both black and beige about 6 months ago. They've become my default bras for everyday wear. I've noticed the fit varies greatly depending on my cycle, and what my posture is. If I'm using the computer, I notice that the top of the cup gets a bit loose, and if I'm paying attention to posture, it's almost quadboob. The center gore is very low, and took a bit of getting used to as I was worried about popping out (which never happened) I love this bra except for 1 problem, the straps tend to loosen with wear. I have checked (by marking with a gel pen on the strap) and they do slide by the end of the day. They've weathered being washed, and haven't stretched too much.
The band on this bra stretched a lot - it started stretching out a lot even the first time I wore it. I also have a 28ff, which doesnt ride up as much at the back.
The cups on this bra fit well when I scoop my breasts into them, but after wearing it for more than 5 minutes the cups gape and the band rides up at the back. I thought this was because the band was too big, but the cups gape on me in the 28ff too, although not as much. I think I have bottom heavy breasts, with not much on top and this may be the reason.
The sides of the cups at the top also dig into me - I think the cups on this bra are too wide for me. A smaller cup size is too small.
But I am still wearing this bra a lot as it looks great under t-shirts! It gives me a great shape https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
This is a beautiful full cup Freya bra, great for everyday use. Brand new only has been tried on. Unfortunately, found out that I need a 26 band instead of a 28. So it is too big for me
How big is your ribcage? My ribcage is 26.5" and Bratabase is telling me that this bra will actually be too tight in the band. I find that Freya bands are really stretchy, which is too bad because I love every other aspect of the bras. (Well, I do dislike that the GG+ styles differ from the
Hi, my ribcage is 24."" I find that Panache and Curvy Kate bands run smaller than Freya. But I do not think that this will be too tight it runs more like a bigger 28 band. I have made a few purchases in my band size in Ewa Michalak. So far they are the closest to my band size, a 25.
Ewa Michalak is basically the only option for people with <26" ribcages! I did find the special ordering process to be very easy, though, so good luck with EM. (I found that the CH styles have stretchier bands so I can wear a 55HH Cielus just fine, but I needed an extender for my 55HH HP Koktajl. With four sets of hooks, they will last you for a while.
As for the Freyas, I used to fit 28 bands but they've gotten stretchier. Now I need all of the 28 bands to be on the smallest hooks from the start. I might try the Antoinette though, because it seems like the band is less stretchy than other Freyas.
Hm.. I believe my breasts to be too shallow for this shape. There are wrinkles in the apex of the bra, but the top edge cuts into my tissue (muffin boob). Also, I feel as if the cups force my very centrally-located breasts down at the top and pushes the tissue out to the sides (armpit boob). Not very pretty.
The material is very beautiful though! If I had enough patience and sewing skills, I would alter it to make it fit (more open on top and less depth), but alas... I even tried to make it more open on top by altering the center gore, but it wasn't enough...
The band on the Freya Faye was REALLY stretchy & way too loose on me. This was one of the first bras I ordered when I was trying to find my actual bra size & I was disappointed in how this bra fit, or didn't fit as was the case for me. The lace on the top was very soft, but the cups were very droopy. One of the ribbons on the bra straps was attached with something very, very scratchy & if I had kept the bra, I would have cut the ribbon off.
I bought this bra on sale despite having tried the Deco in a number of different sizes without success. I should have saved my money. I know this is a very popular bra but I get a bulge in the top of the cup which is very obvious when my arms are forward (it disappears if I put my arms behind my back). My breasts also like to fall out when I bend forward.
I have only worn this bra a couple of times since I bought it.
The pistachio color in the picture (on the wooden table) is fairly true to life for the 'pistachio' color ...- it's an extremely pale green.
Note: I am writing this review in January, 2013, more than a year after the bra was purchased. I have given my initial review and fitting comments based on my notes about the fit of the bra near the time of purchase. Below are my comments on the current state of the bra:
I don't wear this bra. I wonder if it would fit in the cup now, but the band would be too big. I don't like plunges so I haven't bothered to try it. Read more 95 more words
I own several of the regular Freya Deco's, and while this bra is supposed to be identical, just in a different color/pattern, I found the band to fit noticably bigger than my other Deco's (far more stretch) and quickly had to move to the tightest hooks/readjust myself several times throughout the day. If you're buying this, I'd recommend going down a band size.
I bought this bra as I had lost some weight recently, thought I'd lost it in both the band and cup, so I went from a 36G to a 34G (down one size in each). The 34 band feels fantastic, but when I tried it on, I didn't yet know about scooping and swooping! (or jumping around in the change room). After wearing it for one day, I realized I am more likely to need a 34GG or 32H. However, this bra seems to fit like a standard Deco - it's super comfortable! The band was a bit tight/stiff at first - took a couple wearings to break it in but it feels fantastic now!
I have several Freya Deco's (with straps) and find that this one, in comparison, fits a lot tighter in the band than the strapped Deco's. It did do a fantastic job of holding me up though - I wore this under a strapless bridesmaid's dress, and had no issues after dancing the night away - it firmly held me in place, and gave amazing support! By the end of the night though, I did have a bit of redness/rash where the straps were, which I have never experienced with my other 36G Deco's (if anything, my other Deco's are too big in the band, and I need to go down to a 34 or 32).
One thing to note - I think this bra got damaged a bit during shipping - there are some pretty hard-creased wrinkles in the cups that I can't seem to get out https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> once it's under clothing (if it's snug) it's not noticeable though.
I really really want this bra to work. But my breasts are very full on top and the middle, and very close together, and has a very wide root. And I just feel the cups on this bra is not open enough and that they are somewhat a bit too deep at the bottom of the cup. A bigger cup doesn't work for me, I'm swimming in it, so it's not the orange in a glass effect. I simply think there's not enough room at the top of the cups and that they are too far apart. It's trying to pull my breasts down and outward. I'm going ...to make a fitting help request for this when I've taken photos. I just really want a plunge that works for me. But it needs to "push up" more and be more open and the cups. I need a plunge for low cut tops!!!
The band is a 32 and it's really nice and snug. I measure 33" and my Cleo 32" bands needs to be worn on the second hook after just a few wears. This is firmer. I'd prefer if it had 3 hooks. The bra looks pretty dull as its just the black one, but I was able to make it fit properly I'd buy a lot more of the fashion colours! Read more 114 more words
I've been wearing this size for the last several years - it was a huge upgrade from the D/DD cups I'd been trying to squeeze into, however, I've recently come to realize that the band on this is too small, and the cups perhaps aren't quite the right size either - I should be wearing a 34, or perhaps even a 32 (I measure 33" underbust), and I've noticed that often throughout the day, I have to keep re-adjusting to keep the underwires at the root of my breast. I have noticed that in some of the Deco models/copies, the bands are stretchier than in the others. ... I've got this in the navy, pink (shown in picture), nude - all of these are fairly stretchy, but similar in fit. The one I have in teal with the polka dots (Crystal), while it's the same size (36G) I find it to fit a lot bigger in the band - it is much more stretchy.
As for the Deco - I absolutely LOVE this bra (and have it in 6 colors total) - it's incredibly comfortable, gives me an amazing, round shape, fantastic cleavage, and the smoothness of the molded cups ensures it doesn't show under clothing. I've got a 34GG on order and am hoping it fits, as the Deco caps out at a GG cup! Read more 122 more words
This bra fits pretty much like a standard Deco - it gives an amazing shape and is quite comfortable to wear. The pattern definitely does show through some clothing though, so that is something you may want to keep in mind if you're considering this bra
Patsy is cute and is perfect under t-shirts (although can be seen under white shirts). I have a strange feeling that the band is too big because it rides up in the back and doesn't provide enough uplift but it did when I bought it, so it may just be due to age. This band DOES stretch.
The bra is sheer, but not too sheer like Freya Arabella. The shape it gives is not as round as Cleo bras, but rather a natural shape. The band is firm enough for me. Sadly, this bra is too small for me. At first my breasts are contained in the cup, however after 30 minutes it gives me quadboob.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this bra! It is the perfect everyday bra. I bought 2 and plan to purchase more. The cups are molded so it looks nice under all types of clothing. The wires are close together, which works for my breasts. The straps are a tid bit uncomfortable upon first wear but get much better with time. The only complaint I have is that the straps are far enough apart that they show underneath most sleeveless shirts, although I don't mind because the red color is gorgeous!
Nylon--expected softer material. Not deep enough for my breasts, but band is perfect. Droopy look. I desperately need a soft cup bra. I read several places where Freya Kelly runs large in band and cup--but to me only the band is large. I wear a 32G in Fantasie and Chantelle So I thought 30G would be big, but I really need an H. Will likely droop even more.
This was the first Freya bra I've bought, and it was on sale. Although I wear a 38H/HH in Elomi, Curvy Kate, and Panache, this was a poor fit. Although I understand many Freya bras, especially this one, have stretchy bands. I sent this one back to exchange for a 36J since the cup seemed a bit small, too. Unfortunately I didn't take pictures before I sent it back.
I love how it looks. The purple floral and green trim is unusual, which is why I bought it. I much prefer a small amount of lace trim to an entire lace top section of a cup. Since it was ...too small in the cup, I got some quad boob. The band was much too big and stretchy, even on the tightest hook. The center gore didn't lie completely flat. It was against my sternum, but one underwire sort of twisted. The same thing happened in the Freya Tabitha I also bought, but it fit everywhere else and wasn't uncomfortable, so I guess I just must to have the right body for Freya. Read more 73 more words
This is my second Freya deco. I love it. the molding is a perfect shape and the subtle padding is just thick enough to cover my nipping out tendencies. It has good support and provides nice cleavage. With both of my bras, and from very heavy wear, the underwire ends up poking through. The only problem I have is with Bra #2 within a month after buying the bra the inner stitching along the first inch or so of the underwire had come undone.
How big is your ribcage? My ribcage is 26.5" and Bratabase is telling me that this bra will actually be too tight in the band.
