Me: Average projection. Fuller on bottom. Slightly wider left breast (I suspect this breast is also 1-2 ml taller than my other breast). Usually wear 28DD or 30D.
I decided to take a chance and buy this bra again in a larger cup size. The previous bra (28DD) fit me really well with a bit of quadding. Unfortunately, I couldn't size down the band since they didn't have anything smaller than 28. I'm really glad I took a chance on this bra, because it fits me so well! Well, I'd say the cups fit me 95% which is pretty darn good. There is a very slight wrinkling at the ...top of the cups, but it's barely noticeable and you can't even see it through shirts. I imagine it's there because I couldn't go down a band size; I also have to wear the bra on its 2nd tightest hook because of this. It's such a pretty bra and I'm glad I found it.
Only other con is that I can't wear tight shirts or the lace shows through, and that looks a bit weird. I remember someone on Reddit saying that lace bras makes it look like you're hiding popcorn in your shirt, and that describes my situation pretty well. Read more 100 more words
I keep buying deco and every one a winner. I’ve tried others and I really want to expand my repertoire, but I simply can’t! I have big boobs, deceptively so as I spill from the side (armpits), but Freya deco cannot be beaten on comfort and looks for the price tag, especially when shopping through brastop. I’ve found bravissimo satins are good but not as good as these. Rigby & Peller are the only bra store to offer any similarity in comfort and look under as well as without clothing, but the price tag 🏷 I just cannot justify u til I know I am not going to lose any more weight. For those interested however, Freya deco come up larger normally but not on good bras such as R&P, so empreinte Cassiopee and Prima Donna eternal fitted perfectly at a shocking down size to a 32f (so single f rather than my usual deco double!),
Really want to like this one. I love the light lace construction and the keyhole gore (though I’m ambivalent about the gateway back). And I love the shade of navy. The navy lace is great. I did order this one in a 28 band because it’s been a while since I’ve bought a Freya and I’d had word that the bands were stretchy and generous, so I didn’t know how low to go, given my measurements.
The band is definitely too tight, but so are the cups. Even though I have heard this is a good FOB style to try, and it has stretch lace a top thr ...top, the cup is digging/cutting into my tissue as if I was FOT or tall rooted, but I’m not. I’m generally average roots with even to FOB tendencies. So I don’t think the sister size 30E will work any better (and I did try and extender to see how that affected the cups...not significantly) and I think the 30F will fit better in thr cups, but I won’t be able to fill them out enough on top and I won’t have a good shape. Soooo, booo...
Part of me still wants to get this in a 30E and deal with the quadding because it’s a beautiful bra, but I have to accept that it is probably a shape mismatch and that Freya plunges, except for the Deco, aren’t for me. So I should probably avoid unless I find a really cheap one. Read more 142 more words
Just want to say i'm sorry you didnt get more feedback on your fit requests. Ppl have been jumping in to them less recently, i'm not sure why
This is a beautiful bra, sorry it didn't fit you. I wonder if you have some inner fullness perhaps? Try learning forward 90 degrees in facing a mirror and check out if there is more tissue on the inside of your breasts or the outside (or even)? If you're full in the centre, your nipples will point slightly outward. I have some inner fullness, and bras that have this shape cut in on the inner aspect of my breasts even though I'm not FOT.
dbmamaz Thanks. I'll leave them up a little bit longer.
You have so many of the same sizing issues as me! I can wear Deco as well, but Freyas tend to look so pointy on me. It's crazy, because I'm so NOT pointy. My tissue is malleable though, so it takes the form of the cups instead of the other way around. A bra similar to this that actually does fit me well is the panache Jasmine. It has wider, shallower cups that are rounded, not pointy. It gives rounded shaping even under tight tops.
ShaniSunAZ I also have malleable tissue but I find that I don't work with the Jasmine well. In the other bra fit request (Kiyoko) I have an imgur album with the Ciao Bella that was suggested, and further down I'm in a 32DD Jasmine and it's ok from the front, though a bit too east west for me, but pointy side view. I've tried it in sister sizes but not any different. Although I need fairly deep cups, it's up projected for me. I think that I need depth at the wire but not the apex. I'm still learning though.
Calluna it sounds like you have such similar fit issues to me! I'll have to keep an eye on what you find to see what might work for me! ;)
Yes, Wilderness1 , I’m fairly certain that we’re boob twins. UU
My first 30 band!! (Although I will say, it seems a bit large to me for a 30 band, but anyway.) My bust shape (I think) is slightly shallow on top, wide, tall roots with full sides. This bra is mighty mighty comfortable, however, it is not actually padded but instead lined. Not a real deal breaker for me, but just a general heads up. Unfortunately, the cups wrinkle slightly at the top. I am uncertain if this is because I am not super full at the top of my bust, or if I need a smaller cup size, or if its the result of the bra being rather smushed in its packaging.
Looks gorgeous on you! I used to worry about top of cup wrinkles, but no more. I'm shallow on top, too. If it is comfortable despite the few wrinkles, wear it proudly :-)
Looks like an excellent fit!! :) To me, the wrinkles look like strain lines, rather than empty space, how they're angling toward the straps. Could be due to the straps being too tight. The band is arching up in the back in the center, and there are some pretty hard divots in your shoulders where the straps are. If you loosen the straps, do the wrinkles go away and does the band stay parallel to the floor?
Love4Pollinators thank you so much! When I first saw the wrinkles I was thinking oh dang! Back it goes, but you're right. It may not be as much of a calamity as I was thinking Slava-Zone, thank you for pointing out my straps! They are way too tight! When I loosened them, there was still a some wrinkling, but I'm now thinking that it may not be an indicator of a horrible fit. Also noticing it fits better on the tightest band for me. Seems a bit big for a 30 band.
i've noticed that Freya bras run large in the band. I usually wear a 32 band in other bras, but wear a 30 in Freya. maybe going down a band size to a 28, keep the cup volume, and loosen the straps. i have a great difficulty finding straps that don't dig in, even after loosening them a ton. if the straps don't hurt then yay! :)
i thought freya in general was a stretchier brand. If you look at bras here in your size you can look at the stretched band measurement and see which ones run tighter/looser. also, most (decent, imported) brands consider 'padded' to mean lined with light foam, not the push-up-style padding that most US stores seem to like.
Moriko thank you so much for letting me know! I'll try a 28 and see what happens! Dbmamaz good to know! I was all 'this itty-bitty lining is padding?!' I've got so much to learn I see
actually in my size a lot of them are only lined on the bottom half of the cup, too. or bottom 2/3. the top panel is not lined at all
Ended up taking the band in 2 inches and it fits like a dream! No more wrinkling at the top!!
Amazingly comfortable. Soft smooth fabric, but kind of a "young" print (does that make sense? I don't know, but white with soft blue bubbles and light blue lace reminds me of babies). I prefer either loud funky prints or super sex appeal (black/sheer/lace).
It is shallow. Not Freya Starlet Vertical Seam shallow, but much more so than a balcony or plunge style. Shallow at the IMF, shallow at the gore. I mean, serious wrinkles from the center to the bottom of the cup from my projected boobs demanding more room. Over time my boobs would always push this bra out of the way to sit where they wanted, ...and I'd get wrinkles and quadding and all sorts of bad fit. But when I first put it on... hello cakes on a plate! My boobs looked amazing! I've never managed to get this sort of rounded hills cleavage before (without hiking up straps painfully tight). If only this bra would stay in place (blame my boobs - they're short, projected and firm enough to demand more bottom/center space than the bra allows).
A major pro for this bra: Despite the wider wires, they never dug in. Maybe because they're shorter? Maybe because the bra has a "side sling" panel than changes how it sits on the side? I always got painful red marks from Freya halfcups and Panache bras that would dig in to my unprotected ribs (I have narrow rooted boobs that sit on the front of my chest, and my sides have no cushion) - but I never got that pain from this bra. Pleasantly surprised. Read more 160 more words
This bra was a happy surprise! I was looking for a nude seamed cup bra that wouldn't show too much under clothing, and I really wasn't expecting this to fit the bill. I only tacked it on to my amazon order because it was eligible for free returns.
This bra is sooooo comfy! It's also the prettiest bra I own. My only grievance is that the band is really big. I can wear it comfortably on the tightest hook right now, so I'll probably have to alter it eventually. The bra gives a nice rounded shape to my breasts. Even though there's lace and seams, it doesn't show too much under clothing. The bra is also quite a bit darker than my skintone, but it disappears under my white t-shirts. I'm so excited to have found this bra!!
I used to LOVE my Freya bras, even though they weren't a perfect fit. They gave a nice rounded look and I could wear most of them every day, though there were a couple that had seams which might show under a thin shirt. They were great bras. My favorites were discontinued. If you love the fit, I would definitely order another one in the same or a similar style so you have a backup.
You say "used to". May I ask, what changed? Did you find a brand that fit better?
I liked the Freya Marvel and the Freya Patsy. As my size increased, I couldn't get them anymore because they were discontinued. The newer styles seemed to be a different cut and didn't work well for me. I think I might have sized out now, but I'm not sure.
I see. That's too bad! I haven't tried Marvel, but Patsy didn't work out too well for me.
I am close-set with immediate projection and shallow tall roots. This bra fit almost perfectly expect for the gore, its too wide and too tall. Depending on my activity/posture the gore can be very painful but usually is not too bad. The cups have excellent immediate projection. Depending on how I am standing the top of the cups collide with my tall roots and cause some wrinkling. I ideally need bra with balconette cups like this (lower apex and shorter cups) but a true plunge gore. Bought this bra in cup size smaller then usual because according to measurements 30E seemed ideal. I think I could use a pinch more room but a 30F would be to big. The band is stretchy so I will have to alter it in a couple months. Appearance wise I do not really like this bra. It remind me of a girly orange camouflage. I wish it was just flowers and not the black stripes.
This bra fits me perfectly! I'm usually a 30f, so I had to go up a cup size in this bra. I am very projected so I think this bra just runs a little shallow. This bra gives great cleavage and a nice shape. I never feel like I am going to fall out even when playing with my kids. The band is very firm which offers great support. The only thing I don't like is you can see the edge of the cup under thin shirts, so I can't wear it then but under dark colors or flowy tops it's perfect.
I really really, really wanted to love this bra. But I can't. I like it a lot, but as the other reviewers/owners mentioned, the cups feel really wide. In actuality the wires are narrow. I'd say the wires literally stretch an inch when worn-- measures 4.5 inches (which is too narrow for me), but leaves marks behind my tissue, around the 5.5 inch range.
See my post for more on how this fits someone with tall roots
This color is gorgeous on you!!! Sorry about the wires :-(
Ugh, seems like Freya's wires are either too stabby or too flexible :/ Thanks for the thorough review, gave me a very good impression about the bra!
Such a cute design but such a disappointing fit. I guess we all have a pretty good idea, with your review to confirm it, about this bra's fit flaws. Hope Freya fixes them!
I see you tried replacing the wires with harder ones but they were TOO hard; maybe try with other wires to try to get in the middle?! I feel like a sister size up would stretch out too quickly, and the straps would be even wider. Such a bummer! :/
Btw, I'm so grateful for your reviews, you happen to review all the bras I'm interested in and we're similar in size. :)
I was pleasantly surprised by this bra! The fit is a lot better than most of the newer Freya unlined plunges. This is really similar to the Freya Jolie Plunge Balcony (4101) bra but the side wings feel a touch higher on this bra, which works better for me. It is narrow and projected which is nice to find in this size. Also, I love the striped straps!
I marked the comfort as poor because of the underwires. Holy hell did they hurt. They stabbed me at the tops of the gore and both outer edges. I bent them so the tops were angled away from my ...body but thy still hurt.
However! I altered this bra a lot after I took pictures and measurements. I narrowed the gore so it overlaps at the top, and I removed the underwires and replaced them with different ones from an old bra. I knew that hoarding old bras would come in handy. I also left the center bow off. The charm in the middle of the bow was sparkly and too juvenile. I'm looking for something to replace it with.
For now I'm wearing this on the tightest hooks and it feels secure. I'll probably have to take in the band at some point.
With a bit of crafting I have turned this into a comfortable and supportive bra. Read more 118 more words
If the original Deco didn't work out for you because the cup was too tall or it began to slack a bit on the bottom edge over time, this new Deco variant might be your thing. Everything about this bra is quite standard Deco in its own size range--the strap width, cup width, wire length, gore height all match up to the original style 28GG Deco I have in black. Where it differs, however, is cup height and cup thickness towards the edge of the cup. The Deco Vibe has a seam detail along the cup edge which gives it more structure than if the detail were not ...there to reinforce the molded cup edge. In addition to this, the cup edge itself remains the same thickness throughout instead of tapering off a bit thinner like it does in the original Deco. I personally find that the Vibe style fits me better than the original Deco. My roots are not short, but they are also not very long either. My tissue is also rather firm and often decides it is a non conformist, especially to moulded cup bras.
You might read some reviews suggesting that you may need to size up. I tend to think this recommendation would apply to certain breast shapes. For example, if you find that you are very full on top in the original Deco, you will definitely need to size up in the Deco Vibe. If, however, like me your upper roots just fit without gaping or quadding, you'll find that you can stick to your usual sized Deco for the Vibe.
The only potential downside of this bra is that it is just a bit more bulky than the previous Deco. If you were having troubles fitting your previous Deco under you favourite non-stretch top, there's no way you'll have better luck with the Deco Vibe. But maybe you want the extra oomph and pow under that stretchy fitted top, then get this bra https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" /> Read more 228 more words
This is the prettiest thing I've ever seen (although I am usually not a fan of pink). The only optical downside are the straps which are rather wide. As usual I cut off the bows as soon as I was done with the pictures.
The wires are rather narrow, narrower than I've ever worn them but no problem for me. The band runs about 2 cm loose (0.8 in) - which means I am starting on the middle hook, I might shorten in a few months. I might have bought it in 30FF but the boutique I visited did not have that in store. There is a tiny bit of space at the top of the cup but not enough to go down a cup size. I do also get a strap gap - with my short-rooted breasts that's almost unavoidable. The straps are not only wide but also thick which contrary to intuition doesn't make them feel comfortable but weird.
Overall it gives good support, especially if you consider the very thin material.
This bra did take a month till I finally got it! And, what can I say.. look at this cleavage!! I love it! It's a bit too shallow at the bottom and at the centre (on my smaller side acually), but I love it! This bra isn't as much covering as the original deco is and for those girls here that whant cleavage and couldn't get it with the original deco, try the spotlight! I mean.. look at it! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" />
I think this has been the most surprising fit on this ongoing quest.
I don't know if this counts as an unlined bra, as it has two layers of fabric (maybe the inner one counts as lined?)....but it is definitely unpadded. This is the only unpadded bra I've put on that actually gives my soft, deflated boobs a nice shape, with good support and doesn't cause deep creases where the seams are. It even looks nice under clothing (though if you have very prominent nipples and don't want them to show, you might need to wear thicker fabric over it).
It's pretty comfortable. The band has decent, but ...not excessive, stretch to it. I think the cups probably run true to size and I also think that it fits me in almost an unintentional way. Because of my short roots, the half cup fits like a full cup on someone else. They are slightly big on me...but only a very little bit..and I think this is because there is room for a taller root (though probably not very tall. Just more so than I am). I don't really get any gaping (which I have in pretty much every other bra). I get a little wrinkling, but find that even if I add padding, it's still there and that might just be the way the fabric pulls. The gore sits flush, doesn't dig, and the width suits my wide-set roots.
It's a shame I kind of can't stand the color. It's a pinkish red (with pale pink bows) and does not match anything that is actually red...not that I own anything red anyway. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> I'd like to get it in the blue-ish color, but haven't found it in my size.
I generally have trouble finding something that has a short enough cup, that offers smooth shaping and wings high enough for decent side support, wide enough gores and underwires that enclose all of the side tissue, that doesn't dig into my sternum, and doesn't cause simultaneous gaping and quadboob. This bra has none of those problems for me and actually works! I am surprised every time I put it on! Out of 38 attempted bras, so far, only 4 have been close enough to fitting that I could cut the tags off.
That looks very nice on you. I hope you find that blue colour in your size soon.
sereneindeed this is extremely interesting! I hadn't thought of this bra as a possible fit solution for short roots in this size range. I'm glad you shared your analysis. Thanks for the review and pictures!
Thank you! It was an exciting discovery!
Bratabase has been so incredibly helpful and informative...I kind of love writing reviews and adding measurements and contributing to the community.
My particular size and shape issues seem to be an uncommon combination and I've had trouble finding advice for it specifically, here or anywhere else on the internet. But, with 7 billion people on the planet, I am positive there are others out there. If I am going to be on a (semi insanely obsessive) fitting bra mission, I might as well share what I find along the way. :)
Now this really is a bra with a bit of a story for me (it's a lengthy story, but bear with me, the review will come at the end). I remember I was in a big department store a few years ago on a mission to find a bra for under tight T shirts. At the time I absolutely hated bra shopping for 2 very good reasons.
a) there was hardly anything in my size, which meant I had to go through all the racks and racks of bras (usually the bigger sizes hang at the bottom of the rack, so there was a lot of squatting involved), getting ...my hopes up whenever I saw a cute design and then being disappointed when my size was not available, yet again. This made me feel like a big boobed freak. Mind you, I was still wearing 34E's back then, but I didn't know any better than the bra alphabet pretty much ended with E. b) when I finally was so frustrated and desperate that I would ask the shop lady to find some stuff in my size for me, the only things they would bring me were awful granny bras, and I mean the kind that immediately KILL the sex drive of anyone within a 5 mile radius. And those granny bras also tended to fit me poorly (full cups are not my thang I have learned since), but the shop ladies would insist that this sad empty-tea-bag-pointing-down look was completely fine, and that this was just the way things were for people with my size. By the end of the fitting I was usually so deflated that I didn't put up a fight anymore and ended up buying least horrible one.
So on that day the whole fitting episode was heading in that same direction once again, when I saw this Freya Totally Tartan half cup bra hang on a rack. It was not what I was looking for (too much color and visible seams, and back then I was under the impression that anything padded would add bulk so I avoided them like the plague), but I somehow decided to try it on anyway. And lo and behold, it was actually pretty great! It fit me properly! No quad boob! It looked attractive! No tea bags in sight! Like a breath of fresh air for my boobs!
I still have no idea why I didn't buy it straight away, I was probably suffering from severe and acute post traumatic bra fitting stress disorder, but I left the store with another ill fitting ugly bra. The Totally Tartan bra kept popping up in my mind every now and then as a glimmer of hope that there might be bras out there that would fit me better.
Then I discovered this website, learned about my boobs and about bras in general, and found out that there are plenty of great bras out there that will fit me. I quickly found out that half cups seem to be my best bet, so I went through the search results for half cup bras, and the Totally Tartan jumped off the page. I recognized it right away as The Bra That Got Away. Granted, it is not the most attractive or sexy looking design, although it has a certain fresh-faced, cutesy charm, but I decided I had to order it anyway for old times sake (in my proper size 32G this time).
And I still think it is quite a good bra for me. It fits my wide set, somewhat shallow, short rooted boobs well. It lifts and gives my boobs a nice round profile. It's very, very comfortable, the fabric is soft and the straps are too. The cup padding is nice and light. It does not add any bulk, but it does cover the nipples (I don't care about this so much, but I know others do). The band runs a bit large and it's extremely stretchy; for the moment it is still ok on the loosest hook, but I think I could even go down a band size. The cup also runs a bit large. When I compare it to my Freya Marvel, which I find quite similar in terms of fit & shape, this TT in 32G feels more like the Marvel in 32GG. My only issue with this bra is the same issue I have with the Marvel: the under wires seems to drag down a little bit, mainly in the center. Still not entirely sure why this happens, but I don't mind it too much. It's not a bra for under tight t shirts though, the seams are showing too much.
So that was my bra adventure! Read more 676 more words
VERY pleased with this bra. I don't get slight quadding when I scoop like with my Hopscotch Longline. That is still one of my top bras, but I think I need a 30F or 28FF in this style. Speaking of 30vs28.. I think I chose the wrong day to try this. I was on vacation over the weekend, which inevitably means little sleep and always hungry. I gained 3lbs, and 1-3 inches almost everywhere. It'll go away in a few days, but right now my ribs are measuring about 30.5" or more as opposed to 29. Sad. But otherwise I love this bra. The cups are just the right depth and the material is nice. The wires ...are, as usual for half cups, too wide. They do not however come up too far, so it doesn't bother me under my arms.
I do want to make a note for sellers and swappers, and I want to bring this up in an adventure later, but please PLEASE wash your items before sending them. I never had a problem with this until recently, and I've recieved 4 unwashed bras- a combo from ebay, here, and reddit. It's not a big deal, but just out of consideration for whoever is ending up with your personal items. I'm sure the majority of us do, but I've gotten 4 in a row, and one a few months ago, so I wanted to bring it up. I look at it similarly to giving someone unwashed used panties. It's not as gross, but it's still kind of gross, especially when it is visibly dirty and smelly. I did not receive this from Bratabase, which is why I'm bringing it up in this review since I don't want to make anyone feel awkward or bad. It's ok, just stop for pleases.
Anyway- this bra seems good for shallow, wide rooted boobs. It can work with projected, narrow rooted ladies, but I'd suggest moving up in the cup if that describes you. The wires don't come up far, so it's possible to get away with them, and they're not extremely wide, so it's not a huge problem. This bra does extend 1.5-2" from my actual boob though. If that sort of thing doesn't bother you, go ahead and try this. I do wish I had gotten a bigger band in any case. I don't normally have an issue with longline bands being too big at all, and find them very supportive. I'll be giving this a wash and deciding whether or not I can handle the band or want to swap for 30F.
In any case, this is a very pretty, comfortable bra. I'm glad to know going up a cup works.
Making sure the bra is totally dry before sending it is also important or else it starts to smell moldy.
uniteacher I did that once with a skirt. I try to ship things as soon as I can, but that time I was apparently in too much of a rush. It took a week to get there and she said it smelled like a dirty basement. I felt so bad! I refunded her and now I wait longer to pack up. I'd rather be a slow shipper than have that happen again.
Queequeg0925 I love the just flew in, it's a pretty color and the birds are a nice pattern without being juvenile.
If you decide to list it, I have a 30F that i would love to swap!
uniteacherjlcl119 Oh gosh, yes! I accidentally did that once also, but didn't receive any bad feedback. At the time, I was more worried about shipping late, but I felt so bad after thinking about it :(
jlcl119 I feel the same :) I was a little concerned that I'd dislike the print, but I find it so much prettier in person, and I totally agree about the birds!
immodestmouse Yay! That makes me super happy :D I'll let you know for sure by Friday, if that's ok?
I'd like the smaller band, and I did temporarily go up an inch or two, but just having it on for 10 minutes to take pictures today reeeally hurt my back, so right now I'm leaning more towards swapping and 30F sounds perfect :)
Yeah that's fine! It only stretches to exactly 30", so it wouldn't be too big of a jump, but just a little bit more room than the 28 :)
immodestmouse that's great :) I will let you know for sure then ^_^
My goodness, this is a really pretty bra! I love the purple, it's my favorite color, howwww I don't have any purple bras yet is beyond me. Regardless, really stunning! I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for a 28G lurking somewhere.
A small vacation!?!?! You are being kind to yourself!!! That makes ME super happy!!!! :D
Wanabee Yes!!! :D I finally got to the beach and Smithsonian, it was super fun! :)
lcl0706 I know! Purple is my favorite too, closely followed by cerulean and green, and I JUST got this and a purple Natori the day before. I'm so happy to finally have some! Now if I can snag a Cleo Lucy 30E in purple I'll be set :P
Good luck! I'll keep an eye out for you also :) I browse /r/ABTF and ebay just about every day haha
I've been waiting forever for this bra! I found it at Nordstrom rack a few months ago for $30-40, and have been slowly acquiring money, when I found it on Amazon for $20. This is the BEST fitting bra, next to my new Vibe. Even my Freya longline doesn't fit this spot on. And the shape it gives is perfect. I was liking more of the unlined, upslope shape before I lost some shape/boob due to hormone changes, so the Decos have been my go-to's through this. Otherwise, the Freya Rio fit very well, but was highly uncomfortable and scarred me.
I'd recommend this bra to someone with narrow and maybe average ...roots, average projection, and ..idk shape, I'm about even and this fits fine. Sometimes have trouble with closed tops, other times the tops are too large for me, but I have an uncommon shape. The design of this bra is gorgeous. It was love at first sight https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" /> I love the detailing on the cups and straps, and the vibrant color. This is also good for boobs that need up front and centered cups, which I need after I'm lifted. The gore isn't too wide at all, and the cups don't taper to the sides up top, or have gapping, like the Deco Honey. I honestly can't wait to buy more of these and the Vibes. They're perfect, and, having been so depressed due to shape/volume loss and still fitting into the Charm and Vibe, finding these bras makes me sooo happy again.
I also apologize for my lack of photo editing/cropping and..spottyness.As I said, major hormonal changes. And I'm in a rush but wanted to post pictures of this because it's perfect https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":p" /> I'll add measurements for this and the Vibe later. Never apologize for photo quality, Queequeq0925. We all appreciate timely, detailed, illustrated reviews. I was wondering how you were doing with bras after the startling news that Freya Rio scarred you!
I'm doing well with bras. A few days after wearing the Rio was a bit painful, but it lessened up and I don't have any lasting issues. I just wore looser bands for a week so the cups wouldn't be up against where I'd been cut.
Funny thing is, the band of the Rio is way too stretchy, but also somehow too tight, so there was minimal support on the tightest hook. I think betweem tightness/lack and I guess super sturdy wires and material, it just doesn't seem to be a good thing to place on your skin!
The scarring has lessened though, and I haven't had any problems like that with any other bras :)
This bra is the most perfect fit I have found! For me, the fit was similar to the Cleo Juna, with a slightly larger cup than Juna in 28D and with added pushup padding. I am between a 28D and a 28DD, and both sizes were actually an OK fit (I get a touch of quadboob immediately after scoop/swoop in this size; 28DD starts to gap with wear). The cups of this bra are also narrower than Juna, IMO, so the Deco Half Cup works better for my narrow frame.
I love the beautiful, rounded shape I get in this bra and the pushup padding actually gives me ...perfect, round cleavage that doesn't disappear throughout the day (I had that problem with pushup bras in my old size, 32B). Just the great shape and cleavage would be enough to make this a winner, but the Deco half cup is also the most comfortable bra I own (nothing pokes, nothing too tight ever), and the "nude" color blends well with my very pale skin.
I would highly recommend this bra if you have average width, slight-to-shallow projection, full on bottom to even fullness breasts. Read more 85 more words
Update: For me, this isn't working. I tried to make it work but I just hate this bra for my body and have found better ones. My issues were:
The tops of the cups gap. The bottom of the cups have wrinkling going on (I don't fill out the bottom). The front of the bra slides up. My breasts are just too wide for this bra shape, it seems. I fit in soft cup 28E Freyas and Curvy Kates so I am pretty sure that 28e is my size. Oh well!
The bra is seamless and smooth, which is good for t-shirts. While this bra makes nice cleavage, there is ...no push-up padding in the bottom. Very round cups make sure everything is covered. However, this would make wearing the bra with wide low-cut tops an issue (the top of the bra will probably peek out before we see cleavage) and this bothered me (why call it a plunge when the bra is cut so round? just because the center gore is low? meh). The cups meet very close together, which is good for me but possibly a problem for others. However, the gore seemed a little too high for my body shape. The cups are thick enough to prevent nipple show-though. The band is firm and not very stretchy. The straps are wide, too wide for such a petite bra size, in my opinion, so keep that in mind if you like to/have to wear tank tops often. It's not discreet.
Overall: Band was decently tight but cups seemed to narrow for me. Not keeping. I think I need a wider cup so the underwires and gore will sit flat and my whole breast will be contained--maybe the 28F. It's a stiff bra so it just does not work with my shape, no matter how many times I wear it and how much I pull and tug different things. Read more 209 more words

I've been searching for bras with this shape for a very long time now. And hassling Freya about when they would start making them. Finally they have, but it's a real shame they only start at a 30 because this is possible to make and still be supportive in 28. As well as larger cups. Vertical seams like the ones on this bra are much more supportive and give a better shape than the traditional diagonal seamed bras Freya puts out. These give ...better uplift, projection and rounded shape.
I plan on taking this bra in so it will fit more like a 28. For now I wear it on the smallest hooks and it does ride up my (loosely measured 26" ) back throughout the day. I prefer my bands unstretched to be close to what I measure at anyhow, so 2" knocked off this will put it at 23/28" and I'm inbetween those numbers.
PROS: Cute style and fabric. Supportive shaping without being thick or rigid (FYI, my nipples, though small, still show through this this "lining". This is not a true padded bra and it will not add anything to your size.) Decorative trim on top of cups is flat and doesn't show through shirts, neither do seams. (Unless of course your shirt is skin tight, then it will.) Band fits "true to size" - meaning at it's maximum stretch it measures what size it is. (size 30 = 30" )
CONS: Itchy fabric, something in a stretch satin would have been more comfortable, as the straps are a mesh type of lace, they scratch the skin. Cups run a bit small IMO, I was able to try this on in store in E and F, but the E dug in.
*ETA* Band is riding up in side view shots. I'm not sure if it's the fabric, it sort of looks this way on the model too, but there are horizontal wrinkles in the fabric where the seams meet. It must just be a sewing flaw. Of course I didn't have it when I tried on the E, but that's because I was stretching the fabric out completely and very obviously spilling over the tops of the cups (sometimes I wonder if buying this instore is the reason since so many people try it on...it's probably stretched out by the time you purchase it!). Also when I stretch my arms forward (like I did in the front shot) it makes the cups look too big, though they're not. Having tried this on in store in E and F, the F fit better. It is more of in between sizes I'd say. If there was such a size as EE or Barely F this would fit better. The difference in fabric between this bra and the Daphne style causes this one to sit a bit differently on me.
*Update 10-2012* The band has been altered to a 26, same alteration that was done for the Daphne. The fit is a lot better. My only complaint so far with these alterations is that I need to make an additional one of putting a dart in the gore due to the "flat" shape the band now takes on from fitting more snug. That and the cups are pretty far apart, but it's a lot better than before as a 30. Unstretched the band now measures 22.5", stretched it is 26.5", rougly 1" larger than my ribcage.
