  1. Marvel Side Panel Bra (1501)

    Didn't fit

Ahhh, the Freya Marvel...like a breath of fresh air for your boobs!! If only it fit me! I got this from another user as an exchange. I was looking for something soft, comfy, unpadded, but NOT sheer, and pretty supportive. I think the Marvel is exactly just that! Super soft and comfy, and I see it as being supportive in correct size.

I usually go with 28 bands but figured a 30 in Freya would work just as well. Not so much. The band on this isn't nearly as tight as other Freya 30 bands usually are. I had to hook it on the tightest hook and eye ... from the start and tighten the straps a good bit. Luckily, they are fully adjustable and thick as all Freya bras are.

I am not too crazy about the wires on this one. They were far too wide, which is odd because the measurements are exactly what I usually go with. But they ran all the way out to my sides under my armpits! For being a "Side Panel/Support" bra, I found it somewhat awkward. You can see in my pics, on my left smaller breast there is wrinkling under my arm in the side panel. But on my right larger breast you can see the clear definition of where my boob actually starts to fill out the cup and where there is empty fabric on the side, if that makes any sense. The cups were also rather short and I'm almost worried that if I go down in size my nipples will pop out. There was also a good half inch of empty space at the bottom of the cup before my boobs actually started to fill them out.

The gore on this bra is pretty high/tall compared to what I'm used to. But, surprisingly, it didn't really bother me. It tacked just right and fit quite nicely.

This isn't the sexiest, most flattering bra in my wardrobe. It's actually quite plain and simple (this is the nude colorway). But, after trying it on with a shirt, I was pretty darn amazed!! What a lovely shape!! This bra gives a wonderful, round, natural kind of shape...no pointy boobs at all!! Yay, unless you prefer that look. But I think the shape it gives under clothes makes up for the boring aesthetics of it all. I think this would make a great summer bra, nice and light, no bulkiness (the seams did show thru slightly, tho). This bra might not be good for FOB as there wasn't any real immediate projection and it seems like it may cause the top of the cup to wrinkle or gape.

So there's a little wrinkle but it fits close enough for me! As usual my right breast barely fills out on top. I think the straps are a little awkward for my shape but it doesn't bother me. The band is a little loose so I think I'll be on the second hook soon. The material is so lovely, with little bow details and the soft pink colors. Overall though it's my second bra that fits (enough) so I'm happy!!

I got this with the Freya Piper Balcony on eBay,both have the same fit issues ( wrinkle on top, sides not wide enough). I may have to get those slips to fill in my right cup,but I really hate to..I know it would annoy me or something. I'm glad to finally try out Freya though,if only they fit!

    • I have had no luck with Freya soft cups.
I do like their long line bras, if I can find the right size, w/o the bra being too small somewhere.

I just got this off eBay along with the Carys balcony bra, both my first time for Freya. I love the quality and look of the bra but it doesnt seem to fit right. It seems tight enough, like it would fit,but the top of the cup is wrinkled, mostly on the right. I guess I'll try to stick with half cups. The sides of the bra also don't seem wide enough to fit all of me in there. I really hate it because I love so many of these patterns by Freya but with the empty-top problem I don't think any of them will fit right, even though its so close!

*also, its not a plunge,as far as I know. On eBay it's listed as "new - Freya Piper Balcony bra",but for some reason the model in 28D wasn't an option on here.

Try half padded cups in Freya. I think that's the only Freya bras that would fit right.

  5. Marvel Side Panel Bra (1501)

First of all, The cut of this bra is quite different from the usual Cleo balcony or Freya halfcup style. I like that!
The band is firm (nice surprise in a Freya bra), and the wires are quite wide and slightly stretch with the band.
The Marvel is comfy to wear and gives my wide root shallow boobs a nice rounded and centered shape - not quite as rounded and in-your-face upfront as a "Cleo George" style balcony - but sometimes I like it better this way.
The cups are open on top, but not as open as, say, Ewa Michalak's HM style. I have balanced fulness (neither FoT nor FoB) and it suits me well.

I get slight gaping at the center gore because I don't have a lot of projection there. I don't mind as it's not noticable under clothing and doesn't compromise the shape.

I tried both the glacier (white/mint) and black (with purple sprinkles) colorway and the measurements and fit are virtually identical.

(sorry for my english, i'm french!)

This bra is incredibly PRETTY. Colors are great: there's a dominant of blue and a little of yellow and purple (those colours are not really visible on freya's photographies) mixed with black lace.

I think this bra is more for shallow breast. My breast are a quite projected and the wires stand low under my breast, but it's ok for me. I usually take a 30F at freya, but this time, because of those shallow cups, i had to take a 30FF and it fits perfectly.

The cups have a very rounded shape. It fits my "even" breast, and i think it can work for ... a FoT too because the top of the cup is very open.

In the cons, i found the fabric a little itchy (but it's still ok), and the band runs a little big. I'm a "big" 30 so that's ok for me but if you're between two sizes, you can take the smallest one.

  7. Deco Honey Moulded Plunge Bra (1254)

I just love Freya! Though, I'm not so sure how consistent their sizing is. The first time I tried the Honey I still wasn't quite sure what size I was and I bought a 28F. I thought it fit at first, but didn't really know what a proper fit was yet. It felt nice, but was def too small. I had major quad boob, the top of the cups were digging into the top of my boobs. There was lots of spillage going on. Regardless, I instantly fell in love with this bra. I was thinking of maybe going up 2 cup sizes since the F was so ... small. But I decided to try a 28FF cuz I was more worried it would be too big in the G. I have the Hatty in a 28G and it fits nicely, but I think I could even do a FF in that one as I do I have to readjust throughout the day...not a perfect fit, but fits nonetheless. I also have the Charm and that's a 28FF, fits perfectly.

The Honey in a 28FF does fit but feels very tight! I'm def gonna have to break this thing in a bit. The band is super tight (a good thing for me since I'm 27" in the underbust). I could PROB do a 28G but I don't wanna have to keep scooping n swooping all day. I'm surprised I'm not really quad boobing in the FF since it was so bad in the F. The gore is just the right height, it's not bothering me at all like most do (I usually don't go with anything taller than 1.5-2"). The straps are thick, as usual with the Deco line. The only complaint I have with all of the Decos are the number of hooks and eyes. I really wish there were 3 for DD+ sizes, 2 just doesn't seem to cut it for larger busts. It's still very supportive. But I think it might make it a little more comfy. Guess Freya didn't wanna sacrifice the daintiness of this bra with 3 hooks and eyes.

I originally had the Topaz colorway in the 28F...SO SO PRETTY! And I really wanted the same color again but couldn't find one anywhere in a 28 band that was under $50! So, I settled for the Jade colorway this time. I'm not a fan of green at all, but this is the prettiest shade of green I've ever seen, so I'm actually happy about that now https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Oh, and the one thing I remember from before when I had this bra....it squeaks!!!! Lol, hopefully, it'll stop squeaking with wear.

But overall, LOVE the Honey!! It comes second to my Charm. Even tho they're the same size, both in the Deco line, they don't seem to fit quite the same. I think my Charm is a better fit than the Honey. But I still love them both! The Honey gives an amazing lift and it looks fantastic under clothes! Of course, I do get that infamous line showing thru from the top of the cup/ lip. I think if you're a little fuller on top it tends to push the edge of the cups out causing this line. Somehow, the laced trim edge on the Charm alleviates this problem. The cleavage is nice, too, on both https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> I highly recommend this bra!! So happy I have it now in the right size!

    Didn't fit

I think this fits! I know that Freya bras tend to run large in the band. The 30 longlines I had stretched out pretty quickly and since there are only two rows of hooks, I didn't want to have to sew it so I could continue to wear it. The 28 is a tad tight, but the band is stretchy, so I don't mind.

I have shallow boobs and this bra gives me cake on a plate look. I can hardly believe they're my boobs! I'd like the wires to be a bit wider, so I might bend them, but other than that it's great. The straps don't dig into my armpits either, another added plus. The straps are a little scratchy, but I'll put up with them.

I have the orange with white dots. I wish I could get another color, but that's ok. No one will see it under my clothes.

    • I love the Freya long line bras. They are so pretty and I think they fit better. Freya's soft cup bras never fit me. I like the Deco but it puts marks on my inner boob tissue. I love my 28F Just flew in Freya long line. I wish I had it in a 28E though, just to see if it would be too small. Sometimes I feel like I need 2 sizes in one bra.

    • 1

Deco never worked for me. I've got a Piper longline coming in the mail in 28F. Can't come soon enough. Is the JFI too big? Are you selling it?

    • It fits. Sometimes it gapes a little bit on top. Do you ever feel like you're in between sizes? I feel that way a lot. Like the 28F JFI is a tiny bit big but the 28E probably would be just a tiny bit small. I sometimes feel like I'm in-between a 28F-28FF in Cleo Juna. In be-tween a 28E-28F in other bras. Lana in-between a 28DD-28E. Or some 30DD-30E. 32D-32Dd. LOL I know I'm not the only one who feels this way. It would be really nice to have 3 or 4 sizes in the same bra. It's weird wearing different sizes in different bras. It makes our quest to find the perfect bra even more difficult! LOL another one of my rants! LOL

    • Yeah! All the time. My boobs are uneven. So if one side fits the other doesn't. Wish one cup could be E and the other F.

    • uniteacher always fit your bigger breast. I always try to fit my bigger girl. I just sometimes feel like I need two different sizes for one bra even when fitting my bigger boob.
Which polish calculator put you as a 32E?

    • 1

Yes. I always get bras that fit my bigger side. http://brasizecalculator.eu This is the bra. It put me in. 32E when I was pregnant. I need to update my profile.

    • Thank you uniteacher ! :)

    • 1

sizemapp.com says I'm a 28F. But a week ago when my laying down measurement was 31.5", sizemapp sized me at 26E/28DD. Ewa Michalak's calculator sized me 30DD/30D. reddit/r/abrathatfits sized me at 28F/FF

    • 1

It says 28F if I put my over bust at 34"
It says 28E if I put my over bust at 33.5".

    • EM puts me at 70A. Sizemapp puts me at a 28F. Blah.

    • And THIS is why I can't find a bra that fits.

    • uniteacher GO ON ZULILY.com!! They have Masquerade and Cleo bras for really cheap right now! You'll never find stuff this cheap ever!!!

    • But they don't do returns do they? Do they ship to Korea?

    • I don't know. I think they are in the U.S.
15 dollars for a Cleo bra and 30 for masquerade.
If they do ship to Korea it would be worth your while to look. I have never seen such low prices for those bras. If women on bratabase sold new bras for that price they would be selling like hotcakes!!!

    • $18.99 for some of the Cleo bras. 8 dollars for wire free Atlantis bras!!! 8 dollars for padded push up Atlantis bras?!!! I looked on bratabase and they were trying to sell those for a lot more than $7.99!

    • 1

      Not going to happen :(

      Can zulily ship internationally?

At this time, zulily can send purchases only to street addresses in the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii. However, packages containing liquids cannot be sent to Alaska or Hawaii. zulily does not ship to PO Boxes or APO/FPO addresses, or to U.S. territories such as Puerto Rico or Guam.

The good news is that I have a handful of bras coming in the mail. I'm a minimalist, so 5 should be enough. Just hope they fit!

    • uniteacher I didn't know that.

    • uniteacher Your altering looks good. :)

    • 1

And it fits a lot better!

    • what's the best way to make a 34 band into a 28 band?

    • You could take in the gore and band and then move the straps in.

    • This band is like 32 or a 30. The cups are right next to each other so I'm not doing the gore on this one. I should of folded it and sewn it like that, instead I ripped the seams out of the hook and eye pieces and cut a little off the band. Now I'm hemming the part I cut trying to make the band A shaped instead V shaped. And then I was going to sew the hook and eye pieces back on. LOL. This is my first attempt doing it this way. 2nd attempt at altering a band. LOL Frankenbra!!! LOL

    • I used to alter all my bras but gave up. Now I just try to find a few that fit well.

    • I've also sewn along the bottom of the elastic so it stretches less to make the band smaller.

    • So I could sew on the top of the elastic band to make the top stretch less or make it smaller?
Good idea. The reason I want to do this is because most bras in my size, the straps are too wide set, and the gores are too wide. I think altering a band is easier than doing the straps. Maybe I'm wrong, I don't know. It's just sad when nothing fits except for an altered VS model bra! Makes me want to buy sister sizes and just alter the band. :) :/

    • Give it a shot. You can always take the stitches out.

    • Why did you give up on altering bras?

    • I found some brands that work for me. I figure they know more about it than I do.

    Didn't fit

FYI: this is a half cup that is cut like the Patsy, not like the Totally Tartan.

im a little torn on the fit of this bra. i do see the littlest bit of quad boob, mostly on my right side. the gore floats the tiiiiniest bit at the very top, and if i hold it down the overspill becomes a little more apparent. and if i shove the wires so they are in the empty channel space at the underarms and not in the gore (which i like to do because it helps contain more side tissue, and most gores are too wide and high anyway) i *definitely* ... have quad boob. the band is most comfortable on the tightest hook, so i think i will be trying to find this in a 32FF or 32G so i can get the most wear out of it, possibly with an extender. otherwise, it seems fairly good in the fit. i think it probably doenst have enough lower projection for me, because i can sort of feel the wires wanting to tilt? im not sure what that means, but i would guess a projection issue. who knows!

one MAJOR improvement in this cut from the patsy: the fabric! so much more comfortable. patsy has this weird, rough fabric that even makes the straps. as a consequence, the straps on patsy were murder for me. they scrape and scratch and ugh, awful. the straps on these are made of a thick and soft elastic, with the pattern of the cup continuing onto the front them. they appear to be fully adjustable as well, big plus there. the band is made of the same pattern, but a thinner mesh just like patsy where it has a band of elastic at the top and bottom of it. i wish it were a thicker fabric with uniform elastic, because these types of elastic bordered bands arent the most appealing on a squishy back. thats minor, though.

appearance wise, i actually really love this print! i thought id hate it, but i was only getting this as part of a size-check order and didnt care too much about looks. the tiny cottages read as an interesting geometric from far away, but up close are adorable. i think the color scheme of grey scale with tiny sherbert-orange details helps keep it from being too cutesy and weird. i would really like to see more unique designs like this, especially in nearly-neutral patterns like this.

  11. Deco Charm Moulded Plunge Bra (1471)

This is, without a doubt, hands down, my new fav bra!!! It's absolutely gorgeous!! So so pretty, and so so comfy! I've heard the Charm runs smaller than the other Decos, but I think it fits pretty true to size. It's a PERFECT fit on me, and I'm usually right in the middle of a 28FF/28G. I have the Deco Hatty also, but in a 28G and it fits...for a little while, then starts to get uncomfy. I have to keep scooping n swooping and pushing the gore back down. I think I could take a 28FF in both Decos. So, I think if it ran smaller, the ... FF in the Charm would be too small.

Where to begin...the band is nice and snug (I'm 27") on the loosest hook and eye. But it's not unbearably tight, it does have some stretch to it. I felt very comfortable in it the entire time I wore it. No need to readjust the girls. The straps are thick, pretty and super comfy. They weren't digging into my shoulders. There is also the "J" hook on the straps of this bra for the Racerback option. And unlike some other bras with this feature, it doesn't interfere with or compromise the functionality of the straps. They are still fully adjustable. When I first opened the bra out of the packaging, I thought the cups seemed too shallow for me but I was pleasantly surprised. They fit like a glove https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> absolutely perfect! No gaping, no quad boob, no extra space in the bottom of the cup. I'm shocked at how perfect of a fit I got with this bra. Oh, and the pretty little decorative crystal drop on the center gore is so cute, adorned with ribbon bows.

I love the shape this bra gives, terrific lift and great cleavage!! And no padding! I wore it around the house for a while before taking the tags off and it's safe to say now, this one is DEF a keeper https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> The Charm is now my best-fitting bra, next to my Chantelle C Chic Plunge. It's great for an everyday t-shirt bra but sexy enough as a nice "bedroom" bra as well.

Btw, I have even fullness, very round, close-set boobs. I'm not so sure how this bra would work with FOB, it may cause some gaping issues. Although, I think the Charm is a step up from the regular Deco in that this issue seems to have been addressed by the shallower top part of the cup. And I think the ribbon trim does help with gaping issues somehow as well. Overall, I highly recommend this one. It's my new fav https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

I reviewed the Deco vibe for the bratabase blog and loved it too! I looove the pink colorway of the Deco charm!

    • 1

Thank you! I'm glad you mention that...I've had my eye on the Deco Vibe ;) I just couldn't find any reviews on it, or any info at all. Lol. I'll have to check out your review, that would be so helpful! Honestly, the lack of feedback on it is the only reason I haven't bought it yet. It's so pretty, and looks oh so comfy :)

    • And I LOVE the Fuschia in the Charm, but I really REALLY wanted it in the brand new Ballet Pink colorway. I just couldn't find it anywhere :( finding this one, in my size, was hard enough! And forget the Deco Honey in Topaz or Iris in a 28FF...I've been looking for weeks! I settled for the Jade only cuz I love the Honey and they're so hard to find in the 28DD+ range!

    • I believe the deco charm in ballet pink isn't going to be out until Spring, which is why you can't find it

    • Aaahhhhh, well then, that would explain that! Lol!! I thought I was going crazy, I must've missed that little vital piece of info somewhere. Thanks :)

    • SmallBandBella you can get the blush pink deco vibe ;) There are some pics of it in my review, but it's way prettier in person.

  12. Gem Balcony Bra (1361)

It fits! It doesn't stab or poke, and the straps aren't too far apart. I usually wear 30 bands, but I can wear this one on the last row of hooks for a comfortably tight fit or with an extender for a looser fit.

The shape is kind of pointy, although that may just be my natural shape showing through. And the seams will show through shirts unless you wear a couple layers.

This bra is so cute and the gore feel comfortable. The wires on this particular size on me are a bit too wide and it cuts into my armpits a bit. I have very soft breast tissue (nursing/weightloss) so my breasts spill out the middle of the cups a bit even though the cups are a bit too big on me. Not as projected as I need either as the bottom of the cup isn't quite filled.

As part of my quest to accumulate all the most beautiful bras ever produced, this was an especially important part. The subsequent disappointment of the poor fit sunk me into a depression that was almost singlehandedly responsible for my lack of blogging. (Yes, this bra killed my blog)

UNLIKE the Decos of old, but LIKE the new Decos currently produced aside from the Honey, this bra has a firm edging on the top of the cup. I was aware of this, so chose to go up a cup size from the size that used to fit me in the old Decos (30GG). The tightness issue was corrected by going ... up a size, except... it wasn't. Because this bra isn't the same thing as an old Deco with an added tight edging and in fact is not really related to the shape of the old Deco. This and I'm guessing the new Decos have a deeper cup, but only deeper at the apex, so I was left with a little cone that I couldn't fill which in comparison to the almost-cutting-in top edge was veering toward a pointy, or at least overly projected shape. The wires are also WAY too narrow for me on this. It's just wrong in every way, but only slightly wrong in small ways, like culture shock between the USA and UK.

  15. Patsy Padded Half Cup Bra (1223)

My shape: slightly shallow teardrop/FOB with super wide/tall roots and very close-set tissue in the middle

This review is for the Peacock colorway.

I love polka dots, and this bra is cute! I wanted the longline bra, too, but I do not really like salmon-pink. Anyway, this bra is really comfy and fits me decently well in this size, although the cups gape some. The foam padding is nice, and the shape is good in spite of the non-molded cups (I appreciate the convenience of cups you can smoosh when you are washing or packing your bras).

I have always had minor issues with balconette styles, such as the tops of ... the cups gapping when I slouch or let my shoulders drop forward, and this bra is no exception. However, it's pretty slight and any shirt I wear keeps it in place and it has never been noticeable.

My only real issues with this bra is how wide the straps are set (I thought I had pretty wide shoulders, but maybe I was wrong, because while the straps do stay on pretty well, I do feel sometimes like they are sitting at the slipping-off-point) and the center gore, which starts to press on my breast tissue after a little while.

I've learned that I fit a 34 band better, but the cup volume & shape is still perfect. 34gg suits me best

This bra did not fit me correctly. It was slightly too small in the cup (although i think the next size up might be slightly too big) and the band was too big. however, the material is comfortable and does not scratch. It gives a nice shape and seems to correct asymmetry well

I really really love this bra. I'm a fan of Decos in general, and I have this one in the pistachio green with matching thong. After a few washes, it is so flippin' soft and comfortable. As with all Freyas, the band is pretty stretchy, so I plan to probably take it in a bit. The wires fit me pretty well, I'm petite and my breasts are narrow and I have no poking or pain under my arms.

Quick note on the appearance: amazing true deep green colour (Jade/Emerald, AW13), the strap and band detailing prettifies it and makes it stand out from the usual Deco crowd.

I was advised to size down in cup and band in the Deco, which I did, but it turns out this doesn't apply to the Honey. It's got detailing on the band which makes it firmer - and more true to size - than the regular Deco. The gore is also too low, so I fall out in the middle (soft + heavy in the centre boobs). I actually need to size up (to 30GG) for the gore to be ... the right height. The bottom shallow cups force the breasts up and centre to create cleavage, so it's essentially a push-up without pads. The wires are wide, meaning I get that empty space in the outer bottom corner of the cups, and my boobs push that whole part down, folding the corner over itself. The Deco's just an incompatible shape for my breasts. (Side note: despite this, I have managed to hoard a collection of various Decos to be used as occasion bras (when that occasion requires cleavage)
