A well-made soft cup bra in must-have wardrobe beige. Invisible under clothes, nice wide & firm straps, just an all-round daily gem of a bra. Supportive without feeling confining, and the side panels really help to bring in side tissue. True to size. At the beginning of my ABTF journey Marvel was recommended and I thought it fit and looked great, plus being incredibly comfortable for hours of wear. After (entirely too many!) different bras and discovering Polish cuts, I have realized that the Marvel is incompatible with my shape: narrow, close & high-set, immediate projection, even 2/5 shading toward FOB. Probably because of the wider gore, Marvel gives me a noticeable east-west shape and does not provide the uplift or centering that I now know I prefer. Funny how we learn our shapes and preferences bit by bit!

I tried the 30GG and the band was way too small. So I tried the 32FF, and the band is mostly good. I don't fill out the cup fully since I have short roots, and I'm having some pain when wearing it. I'm still undecided if I'm going to keep it or not, it's a bit of an awkward fit but looks cute.

I want to love this bra so bad, however, it's just not projected enough for me. However, I'm considering keeping it because it's comfortable. The padding is great and so is the lift it gives. The material is soft.

Fits FoB projected narrow roots. Had to bend the wires around my ribs to avoid pain there. Teensy bit pointy in profile view, but not too bad.

    Hasn't set fit

This is a lot of bra. I ordered my usual base size of 34H and I fill the cups pretty good but I think I could try a 34GG. However the gore doesn't quite tack. I'm close set so this could be part of the issue. The wires are 13 inches but the wire channel is 14 inches. This puts more fabric closer to my armpit. Its not uncomfortable but I can see it getting hot. The padding is stiffer than Fantasie Rebecca but not as stiff as Deco. It makes me look a little too wide from the front for my liking. The shape is similar ... to Fantasies 4520 just a little less east westy and a little less pointy. Straps are 1 inch thick. The band feels very comfortable and true to size according to the measurements. Dont know how it streches over time. The bra is a little wide but has deep cups. I'm going to try the 34GG for the sake of bratabase but I don't have high hopes. If it still looks too wide from the front it's definitely not a keeper. At least I have my CK Temptress and Arizona (and soon Daily Dream) which is a far more successful padded bra on me.

    • do you think this could work on shallow?

    • 1

I think it might be a little difficult for shallow. I had a little bit of empty space in the cups and I'm pretty full. But we don't wear similar sizes so in your size the construction may be a little different.

I love the way this bra feels. My breasts feel extremely supported, and I love the shape it gives me. I've ordered it in a 32F because I feel that I could definitely benefit from larger cups, but I think it is an excellent daily use type of bra. I especially appreciate that while it gives me great support it also allows me to wear v-neck shirts without it showing. I've hesitated from buying fuller coverage bras because they usually keep me from being able to wear some things, but I have no problems like that with the Deco. As someone with wider-set breasts, I also loved how the bra brought mine more front and forward but didn't uncomfortably push them together to create the illusion of a type of cleavage that my breasts simply can't do.

In summary, even though it looks quite simple, it makes me feel incredibly sexy and comfortable.

I am on the fence about this bra. On the one hand, I love the design, and, at 29" fully stretched, the band is quite snug compared to other Freya 28's I've bought recently. I can happily wear it on the largest hook. Overall, the bra is very comfy.

On the other hand, the shape it gives is appalling. (Let's just say that it's not appalling if you want to look like a Mad Men housewife....) I've noticed this problem crop up increasingly often with Freya's plunge balcony bras, which used to be my go-to shape. I still wear my three-year-old Freya Martha Plunge Balcony Bra ... (1301), for example, which gives a lovely rounded yet natural shape, and is supposedly the same cut. My two-year-old Freya Patsy Plunge Balcony Bra (1221) is still nice but a little pointier. And now, in 2015, the pointy plunge balcony bra has reached full fruition in the Fan-tastic, with its sharp, unforgiving point.

I am not ready to give up on this cut yet. I truly adore the Martha! But something has definitely gone awry.

  8. Deco Vibe Moulded Plunge Bra (1704)

Just got this bra in the mail, and I am SO happy.
It's obviously very similar to the Deco Honey, but somehow, the cups fit a lot better. Instead of being further off to the sides, it fits me exactly where I need it.
Wires are narrow enough, depth is good, band is, so far nice and snug.
Color and design= A++. The blush is a delicate pink, as opposed to how it appears in some photos as a light beige-y pink.
There's all the frills, and bows on the straps, same as the Honey, but in a different color from the bra, which is great.
No gaping or quadding this time. I'd ... recommend this to anyone with average to narrow roots, and with average projection. I'm even to FoT, and this fits me very nicely.
I don't know why my Honey and Vibe are different, but this one fits me a lot better.
The cups are also moulded, fairly thick, so they obviously give a nice round shape.

    Edit:
I've worn this 2-3 times now. I know, bad https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":p" /> I definitely need to order more. This is what I've been looking for. Fits sooo much better than the Honey, cup shape wise. That one, the cups are less forward facing IMO, less close, and kinda taper to the sides up top, which is the opposite of what I need.
I have tall, semi shallow roots, and my boobs touch after they're lifted any amount.
The Vibe is close enough for my boobs, and doesn't start goimg off to the sides but stays up front and centered. The top of the cups are both deep and shallow enough for my roots. No cutting in or gaping, both of which I get with the Honey .
The band is also much firmer. Makes me feel great all day. I'll be stocking up on these https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

Edit2: Forgot to add, you can make this into a racerback, and adjust the hooks to where you want them on your back. I thought this was a cool feature, as some racerback tops are cut differently and then you can still see certain racerback bras.

Edit3: I've started experiencing some weird gapping in the tops of the cups UNLESS I use the racer back clip. It's weird, because it's not nearly as bad as the Honey (because the cups taper off towards my arms up top), but it's still noticeable. I'm very shallow up top, so I think I just can't do tall, stiff/molded cups. I mean I can, it's just not a great fit. I think the racer back clip pulls the straps in a way that pulls the cups even more towards the center, and flattens them, and that's why that works.

So just FYI, might not work for tall-shallow roots. Probably better for a lot of upper or all around fullness. I only have fullness in the very center.

The Vibe was apart of the "new" Deco re-design that included the new stitching on the top of the cups. Other styles like this are Deco Charm, Delight and Rebel.

Bra is perfect projection for me. I thought I'd need something with more padding, but, surprisingly, this gives me a really good profile. The only problem is, it's a cup size too big. The band fits perfect, however, I did have to go down a band size because this Freya band runs big. Even though I think this bra is a cup size too big, it fits REALLY nice! I don't feel squished at all (average projection) and it takes away my pointy look. Such a relief!! I will be returning for a 30E.

I was fairly certain the Deco wouldn't work for me, but it'd been so long since I'd tried it I couldn't help but give it another shot.

I sister sized down to a 30G as I've read the band can run stretchy, but I actually found it to run about true to size. I could close it, but it was definitely tight. As for the cups, I got overspill on my larger side; I would get a cup size up if I wanted to stick with this bra (I don't).

The other big issue I had, and the one I suspected the most, is the cups aren't projected enough at the bottom, thus pushing the wires down too low. For this reason I will be returning the bra and not trying it again.

I want to like the Deco, I really do.

I love plunge moulded bras. I wear a ton of t-shirts; it's practically an essential. But this one only fits me great if my body is on its A-game. No binging on a dinner out, no slouching, no moving around, no hormonal influences.

The band fits great, similar to the 34GG. The cups, well, I'm too soft for these. They cut into the layer of fat under my breasts (against my ribs) so that if I wear this bra all day, by hour 8, I'm ready to take the thing off. I get a lot of issues with my extra boob/underarm transition fat looking stupid where the straps meet the cup. It's not uncomfortable, it's just not a flattering look and I feel like a orangutan.

    • This made me giggle. I have the orangutan problem too. I have that issue with almost everything I wear.

    • Oh, man, I know what you mean!

I didn't realise I had broad shoulders until I started knitting sweaters. I love the look of a shrug or a short cardigan, but it makes me look like a linebacker. So now, I just admire it on OTHER people.

    • Bahahah I've literally thought the exact same thing about myself - I look like a linebacker! I was a gymnast and my shoulders and arms are way overdeveloped for my body. They're out of proportion and make my top half look so heavy and shrugs and cap sleeves are my mortal enemy!

    • I'm thinking I should call my mom and thank her for giving me a choice between going back to just taking several dance classes or sticking with gymnastics and only one dance class, when I was a kid. My shoulders have always been very squared-off and broad, which only became more noticeably so and especially in comparison to my mom's narrow, sloping shoulders once I hit puberty. There are many things I avoid wearing to minimize the linebacker look - cap sleeves and spaghetti straps for example. I don't like the look of shrugs on me, so not being one who can pull off wearing those isn't terribly disappointing. :P

There are benefits to broad shoulders - for example, I'm only 5'1.5" but my shoulders are why I can wear many bras with wide set straps while someone the same height who has narrow shoulders will constantly find themselves dealing with straps slipping off. Now, the whole height thing is an entirely different matter - I would have loved to be at least 5'4" like my mom and I'd have been ecstatic over growing to an adult height of around 5'7"-5'8". Unfortunately that wasn't in the genetic cards for me but life has gone on regardless. :)

We don't have much say in how our boobs are going to be - the width and height of the breast roots are what they are. Not that it makes things easier to accept when finding bras that fit and work with our shape is difficult. Stay positive and hold on to believing that those bras are out there - you will find them. :)

    • Thanks, valentine, for the words of encouragement!

I don't have the blessings of being physically coordinated, but I am glad I learned early on that I can't have cap sleeves or shrugs or the like. I do love my tank tops, but I love them as underpinnings to a cardigan or a button-down shirt left open on the top buttons. I definitely have a style rut! Cardis and jeans for life!

I didn't even know women dealt with straps slipping off until I joined Bratabase, TBH. I see it on pictures of women now and, you're right, that is something I will NEVER have to deal with.

I'm lucky that I am wild about my Natori Reflex, even though it doesn't fit perfectly by Bratabase standards, I love it to the point that I forget I am wearing it.

    • 1

I have a couple of Natori t-shirt style bras, as they're the only ones I've found that I can wear with lower necklines - and their nipple concealing ability for when my mom comes out to So-Cal for a visit. She and my aunt are anti-visible-nipples even though everyone has them. I've tried the argument that anyone who stares at other people's nipples is the one with a problem but it doesn't seem to convince them to change their minds. So, I wear my foam-dome bras to skip the repeated reminders about my nipples. (sigh) One of these days I'm just going to show up to family dinner wearing one of those trashy bras that are basically just the underwire attached to the bra band that are sold at sex shops and Frederick's of Hollywood used to have. Under the thinnest shirt I can find that's not outright sheer material.

A friend of mine didn't know that bra straps could be adjusted until she was around 20 years old and her new boyfriend at the time showed her - I asked her what she thought those little plastic/metal sliders on the straps were for, and her answer was "Decoration?"...lol. She still occasionally has strap slippage due to her proportionally more narrow shoulders than the wide set strap placement in her bra size is going to be designed to accommodate.

I sized down from my usual 28G for this since I heard Freya's padded half cups and decos run a bit smaller than their unlined offerings, and that was the correct move here. Love the white and pale orange colorway, the little polka dot bow accents are adorable. VERY snug band for Freya! Maybe they got a clue. Sub-28s would like this. I measured it at 27.5" stretched, and it doesn't feel like it'll stretch out easily.

Wires are 5.5, cup depth is good, nice immediate projection. The lace is not stretch and does close in a bit, but not too much for ... me since I'm even-to-FOB. Not a good bra for FOT's. Technically, it fits pretty well. Visually from the front it looks good. It's soft and snug and supportive. But the cup/lace trim is just a bit too tall and full coverage in the front for my taste, and there's a slight shape incompatibility at the diagonal seam where I don't quite fill it out, and it gives me a slightly pointy shape. I don't do pointy. For those reasons alone, it's going back.

After wearing this bra for a couple of weeks, I now feel as though it is a great fitting bra. I have gone back to wearing a couple other bras lately, but they just don't provide the right amount of support.

Initially I thought that this bra fit tight, but in retrospect I know that it's actually a proper fit. I almost forget I am wearing it throughout the day most days.

The one complaint I have is that the straps, since they're a slick material, like to work loose. This results in the straps falling off my shoulders sometimes, which can be awkward.

Straps falling down is so annoying. I recently gave away an otherwise lovely bra because of this problem. Good luck with your search!

    • 1

Small lines of hot glue or rubber cement strategically placed on the underside of the straps can give them a little friction on your shoulders and help keep them in place; similar to the friction strips on some strapless bras. : )

    • 2

Make sure the hot glue or rubber cement is applied to the bra straps and is given sufficient time to cool down and/or solidify.

Hot glue on skin is something I have experience with - not intentionally - and it hurts. A. Lot. Then it has to be removed from the skin and takes a layer off the top with it. That. Hurts. Even. More.

*Excellent* point, Girlfriend! ; ) Let the stuff set up.

    • If it continues to be a problem I might give that a go. I have hot glued my fingers before but wasn't that bothered by it. And no, I'm not trying to say that to set me apart from you ladies. :) I react kinda girly in some situations. :)

    • 1

I had a few inches long line of hot glue fall onto my thigh, and it was more painful than the time I had to unjam an industrial stapler and in the process stapled a thumb.

Wide and shallow shape. I was hoping this would be perfect for me but I think it's actually a bit TOO shallow, the pulling is visible at the bottom of the cup. It feels very secure on though the far apart straps really push into my armpits. Other than that it's a great basic bra for the wide-root crowd.

    Fits

    For reference, my measurements are:
    1: 30.5
    2: 27
    3: 36
    4: 37.5
    5: 35.5
    Size: 30F or 28FF
Full on top, slightly wide roots.
When I first got this bra, I was wearing a 32F.

Good: At first, this bra fit wonderfully. It was comfortable, had a low and tacking gore, and the fabric is soft. The tone of the fabric matched my skin tone well and didn't show through clothes. It gave my breasts a nice, rounded shape. It added a bit of enhancement, but nothing major. I felt like my breasts looked awesome even in a baggy t-shirt. It was my go-to bra for a long time.

Neutral: The bra's shape is not the shape ... of my breasts. It was not so different as to cause problems, but it could potentially for some. My breasts are not as natural round as the Deco shapes them to be.

The cups on this go fairly high. When wearing a low-cut shirt, there's a chance that they'll show. However, the gore is pretty short, so the center is not too much of a problem.

Bad: I should note that over the time I owned this bra, I lost weight. Both my underbust and bust measurements changed a bit, so that should be taken into account.

However, as others say, this band stretches. Not only is it stretchy at first, but over time it stretched out badly. I would recommend sizing down. The cups also tend to flair out a bit near the armpits. They did this a little at first, but as I lost weight and couldn't quite fill them, the cups flaired badly and had a floppy look. This may have something to do with the band stretching as well, but I can't say for sure.

The fabric is also fairly thick. This can look a little strange under thin materials. If the cup is not sitting flush against your skin, it has a tendency to show through.

Results: I absolutely love this bra, despite the small issues I had with it. I plan on buying another in my new size. I'd definitely recommend it, but I would caution you to make sure it fits properly or you're going to run into problems, more so than with other bras. Even so, it's my favorite.

This is a nice plunge bra. I find plunges a bit tricky and tend to get a tiny bit of quadboob because of the distance between the cups. This did that as well, but only a very small bit so it is definitely wearable and comfortable. The shape it gives is more natural and less rounded than Cleo unpadded bras like Marcie. Good support and lift, though.
