This is my second try with this pretty, sheer bra, but it's just not going to work. My boobs are kind of wide-set, splayed, shallow and soft, and one side is about a half-size smaller than the other. On my big side, the volume was right but the wire was too narrow and lay across some breast tissue on the side. On the small side, the volume was just too big, and in a sheer bra like this I can't use a cookie to make up the difference. This might work for you if your roots are less wide than mine and if your boobs are closer to the same size.
This was my first bra in my [new] corrected size. The bra calculator put me at a 26E/28DD, which I found out is US sizing and this is a UK brand. The 28DD was a little loose but I liked that it had 3 hooks; 28D has 2 hooks. The 28D follows the shape of my breasts more. The band is nice and firm so far, which I heard regular Deco bands have a tendency to stretch out over time.
Straps are not as elastic as I had hoped. However definitely gives vavavoom cleavage! Comfortable to wear. Had to use second hook but my under band measures 27''
Probably not an everyday bra but definitely looks cute!
You do get a great cleavage with this bra. I am glad for you that it is comfortable. It is a very cute and lovely coloured bra.
Have you tried a cup size up, looks like it's sitting on your breast tissue in the center.
Have you tried a cup size up, looks like it's sitting on your breast tissue in the center.
This bra looks about one cup size small. The underwires are sitting on your breast tissue. Have you scooped and swooped? Make sure you lean forward and lift all your breast tissue into the cups; you may find this is not an ideal fit once the underwires are in your IMF and not on your breast. Of course if you love it, wear whatever is comfortable for you.
Thanks for all your comments! I tried a cup size up in other deco variants. And because they gap at the top (I have shallow breasts) I decided that going a size down would help. Gaping on wear seem to be a problem with the decos, but because of the lovely shape and cleavage I get, I have continued to buy more! 😜
Got this as a giveaway, and I was hoping it would fit, but it's way too small. Gore doesn't tack I have quad boob AND side boob. Too bad, because it's a cute bra. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
First of all, this bra is super cute. I'm not one for pink, usually, but the festive design of the whole thing was really quite charming. And oh, the bows, they're hot pink + orange which are probably my two least favorite colors, but I am so grateful for bows that are neat and straight and don't go crooked and have the tails hanging straight down, and the embedded bow design is so rad.
As expected, the band is super loose, I barely had to pull to get it around me. Also, there are only 2 rows of hooks, sadly. The Freya halfcup shape really works well with my boobs and lifts them up great, and the fact that the wires are, as usual, about an inch too wide doesn't really bother me. The longline part is not very long, but it does provide extra support and is really comfortable. The band wrinkles between my right and left ribcage, but oh well.
Initial impression after wearing it briefly: suitable for wide and shallow breasts. Cups seem to run small but the band seems a bit loose 28 (but my UB is 26 so my estimation might be off). Straps are surprisingly not too wide. Gore a bit wide for my close-set breasts but doesn't hurt because of looseness. I get a smidge of quadboob on the inside of the cup and very slight gaping near the straps. The wires are average/narrow. The foam lining structures lightly but allows for the cup to fit to the breast. The band have a tendency to roll ...up especially due to the looseness of the band.
What I didn't like: two columns of hooks. Why!? The band is already loose and once the band stretches out, it's not going to work without some mods. Also, the cups' foam lining is not covered so I don't know how comfortable it is during warmer weather.
Edit: After wearing this bra consistently, it does seem to run small. The bra keeps pulling to my larger side. The gore doesn't tack very well even though I've altered the gore to be narrower. I now mainly keep it for wearing while lounging as even though it doesn't fit that well, the looseness of the band keeps it quite comfortable. Read more 118 more words
This was recommended to me for tall, narrow roots. However, I don't think it's a good fit. There's visible gaping at the top and the cups feel too stiff.
Bratabase says it's a sister cut to the 28D - Freya » Pollyanna Plunge Balcony Bra (5922) , but as I thought from the pictures, the lace part is massive. It has a lot more inner-projection that then Pollyanna, just like most other Freya plunges. The band is classically giant and the material is not exactly soft but not exactly unpleasant either, and feels kind of hard. The lace portion, aside from being giant, is rather stretchy and loose and slid down my breast, much like the 28D - Panache » Andorra Full Cup Bra (5675) and 28D - Panache » Andorra Plunge (5676) .
The band is very loose (Still loose on the tightest hook) and the cups are very open. I scooped and swooped at maximum ferocity and barely filled out the cups and the edges just kinda curl out. The color is really nice even though I hate orange and I hate neon, so that was surprisingly nice. It's kinda like a muted neon orange. Also the bow is this adorable delicate orange-and-black bow, very Halloween and very cute. The cups were bent in the mail and refused to unbend which was kind of sad, and also confusing since my Thimble Halfcup has creases bu they flatten almost instantly whereas the Rapture's creases persisted even when wearing it.
This bra. is. soo. soft. I've never touched the red or blue ones so I don't know how they feel but given the shininess I see on product pages, I thought the feel would be meh at best, but wow this is ridiculously soft. The band is big, though, and the cups are really big/tall. I fill them in then I inhale and throw my shoulders back, and no other time. They were also sort of shallow, which was fine. But gosh. Why are the cups so big??
Blessedly, the band isn't quite as huge as I'd come to expect from Freya, which is nice. And, as you can tell from the bird's-eye-view picture, it gives even little-old-me some cleavage, if you can manage to see it behind the massive gaping cups. Impressive.
This is one of the weirdest bras I've ever worn. The padded part sticks out a whole lot, and the stretch lace attempts to rein it in (and fails). My boobs, being bags of tissue and not triangular blocks of cheese, I had a most difficult time getting along with the bra. Also the lace cuts in a lot in the center.
On the positive side, the band is slightly tighter than other Freya bands and the material is really comfortable. Also the color is pretty cool.
Kind of underwhelmed by this bra. Like the Freya Antoinette I got as a giveaway a while ago, Gem has a tight strip of elastic at the top of the cup that cuts in on me. It also feels too small, so I guess if I wanted to try another Freya unlined bra, it would have to be in size 28DD.
I most likely won't bother though. I like tight bands and this one fits like a 30 (even though I think the previous owner made some alterations already). If the bands are so loose that I have to wear them on the tightest hook right away and alter ...them myself later, it defeats the point of buying bras online, imo.
Looking at it in person, I can't say I'm a huge fan of Freya's aesthetic either. The frilly decorative string sticking off the straps and the band looks especially tacky. Speaking of which, this bra has an awful lot of loose threads sticking out here and there that make it look cheap -- that might just be because it's used, but it still doesn't reflect well on the quality imo.
Credit where credit is due, if the cup wasn't too small, I could definitely see this being comfortable because the fabric is very soft. It's still not worth another try for me though, because the wires on this are already a touch too wide, and having tried the Freya Deco strapless in both 28D and 28DD (which varied massively in width) I am inclined to guess that a 28DD Freya anything would be stupidly wide on me. The gore is also too high for me, which would be a dealbreaker entirely on its own.
FWIW, this doesn't look too bad on you and I think a 28DD would be too wide. Yeah it cuts into your tall roots. Maybe a Rio? Regardless, this is a gorgeous bra and you wear it well despite it being a bit of a shape mismatch.
thanks. idk, I just wasn't blown away by it
This bra wasn't a good choice for me either (28F) - I'd say it is very un-Freya shapewise. Wider and shallower than my other unpadded Freyas in the same size.
I don't have many bra's with a wire so the fit is difficult for me to judge. The band seems to be a good fit for me. The bra fit okay at first but after wearing the bra all day I was a little uncomfortable and had little red marks where the bottom of the cups and center gore lay. The wrinkles at the top of the cups suggest that my breast aren't filling in the top properly. And the cup doesn't cover all of my larger breast on the side but its only by a bit. I still need to try other sized bra's so I'm not sure if this size is good for me. I got this bra before signing up for this site and was suggested the 28DD size from here.
It looks a little big. But also, the same size will fit differently in different models and brands. The suggestions here are really not fantastic, its only a starting point.
getting used to wearing wires takes some time. i had gone wireless for decades and was told (here) to start wearing them not full days, so I started only wearing my wired bras for 4 hours. Eventually they broke in and I adjusted and I can easily do 10 in some of them
So, first of all, I bought this bra just because it was pretty, and I'm shallow like that.
Speaking of shallow, this bra is not for shallow shapes. I consider myself on the shallow side of average and there was a bit of room in the apex. Not too much, mind you - quite a lot less than, say, the Gem Balcony or Doodle. The top didn't quite cut in, but it left the upper panel wrinkly and sad. The lift it creates is moderate, and it holds up my boobs pretty happily.
The material is suuuper soft and the straps are nice and smooth and not those weird loopy ...Freya straps I'm so used to seeing. Unfortunately, personally, I'd say the bra is prettier in pictures than in person. The lime green used in the buttons and detailing doesn't sit well with my aesthetic, though I do admit the geometric sketches and handwriting design is really wonderful. The button gore and rectangular strap bows are really cute and it's so nice to not see girly bows everywhere for once. The band wasn't ridiculously stretchy, but it was pretty stretchy and the cups only managed to fit well-ish on the 2nd hook. As with other Freyas, the armpit-edge somehow gapes on me, which doesn't bother me physically but still. Read more 109 more words
However- The 28 band was abit too loose even on the tightest hook. The cup was also too small, causing some spillage. Just enough to cover up my areolas 😳
Low cut so very sexy as it is a balcony bra. Straps are stretchable but looks so cute!
Okay I have worn it a few times now and the cups are definitely too small https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> and the band too loose https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> the gore was obviously not tacking. It is such a shame as it is such a lovely bra though.
I thought about sizing up to a 28dd but even though the cups fit the band will be too big... Alas....freya pls make some 26 bands...
This bra appears to fit after scooping but I get gapping within a few minutes of moving around. I believe it's because the cups are way too tall and not projected enough at the bottom. The lack of space at the underwires is meant to push boobs upward, but it doesn't work with firm breasts. Instead, my boobs push the cup down and away from me, causing gapping at the top. The wires are a good width but the band could be a little tighter.
This newer version of Deco has been touted as having an improved, more closed shape that won't gap, but that wasn't true for me with this one. However, before I can really evaluate it I need to try it in the next cup size (28DD).
I think I'm having the same problem with this bra as I had with my 30D - Cleo » Neve Plunge T-shirt Bra (7196) : the cups may actually be a little too small or too shallow at the bottom. The reason I think this is that when I look at the fit of the bra through ...a white t-shirt (see photos), it's the cup on my *larger* side that juts out *more*. If the cups were simply too big then my larger side should fit them better, but that is not the case. In accordance with this, the interior dimension of the cup was 5.5", and my breast perimeter is 7".
Being the size that I am, I am used to small bras, but this bra at this size is tiny in the band, cups, and wires, especially for Freya. I am pleased with this, because I've sized out of my favorite Cleo bras (since Cleo stopped making 30Cs and their 28 bands are too tight), so Freya may become my new go-to if I can figure out which ones fit.
Fitting issues aside, I found this bra very comfortable and I adore the print.
My first freya bra! Bought this in the sale hoping the it will fit and it kinda did.
So beautiful good, strong material, gives my ribs a good hug. The cups themselves are abit too narrow for me and squishes my girls to the middle, creating a nice mid cleavage.
However it creates some gaping at the top so not brilliant if you are shallow breasted like me! Will definitely suit top heavy ladies but not wide roots.
Overall a really good bra but can only wear it if I'm wearing two tops- as the cup line shows under tight fitting tops https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
Gah! So close! This nearly fits my bigger side (just a little bit of unfilled cup) and is unfilled significanltly on my smaller side.
The band feels good on my 26.5" ribcage, the cups are narrow enough, and the bra brings everything front and center. I also like the olive and pink color way. This is a wonderful bra for those who need narrowness and projection.
This bra, received in a giveaway, would be a perfect fit on me except for 2 problems:
1. That rigid elastic at the top of the cup. Why is there? What is its purpose? It has no stretch to it at all and cuts into my tall roots, creating visible quadboob. It's unfortunate because I think the lace might have been stretchy enough otherwise. I don't know if this bra runs small or is just too closed on top or both.
2. The band is extremely loose. It stretches out to 80cm (like a 32) and I need to wear it on the tightest hook. This is probably a combination of Freya bands being loose to start with and this bra being secondhand.
With the cups being too small/closed-off and the band being super loose, I honestly think this fits like a loose 30B or tight 32A.
As for appearance, it's a cute simple bra overall. The only thing I don't really like is the strap details.
Once I get some pictures up, I will be relisting this.
You do get a great cleavage with this bra. I am glad for you that it is comfortable. It is a very cute and lovely coloured bra.
