This is the most gorgeous bra I have ever owned. I have the "Fruits" colourway in pink-orange with moss green trim. It is bright and summery and VERY colourful without looking garish or childish. I am really upset that it is discontinued and hard to find, because I would want 2-3 of these (and maybe one of the padded halfcup versions in a 30G, as well).
This bra fits true to size in the band (tighter than other Freya 28 bands, which is nice) and a tiny bit large in the cup. It is marked as "did not fit" because there is a bit of loose lace at ...the top of the cups, but it is still quite comfortable to wear, looks great, and is supportive. It does not poke. The wires are narrow-medium width. It would be a good fit for full-on-top boobs because the lace detail does not cut in (I have evenly full boobs and a lot of bras cut in at the top)
It seem to be quality construction - seams are all reinforced, and the band has the strap material used as a detailing (which is quite firm), so I don't think this will stretch out too much.
The only negative comment I have is that while I appreciate that Freya incorporated a mossy green in one of their bras (my favourite colour) the lace and frilly details seem a little bit fussy for my tastes, and the frills at the band are a little scratchy. Overall, I'm thrilled with this bra. Read more 151 more words
Finally, a Deco I don't fall out of! This is a tad on the large side, but there is now so much spillage in my 28G version of this bra that it is often unwearable with certain clothing. There is a small gape where the cups meet the centre gore, but otherwise it is a really good fit for me. The band is a little more snug than my 28G version so I can wear it on the middle hooks. The band is very stretchy so think I will need to use the tightest hooks fairly soon.
On the whole, it is a really comfortable, practical bra ...which gives great shape. I find myself reaching for this on an almost daily basis.
For reference, I have very bottom-heavy, wide breasts, with a slightly swooping profile. My measurements are around 25-25.5" and 38".
edit - I am going to need to alter the band. It is incredibly stretchy and is now riding up on the tightest hooks! Some breast growth means I now fill the cups a little too much. Despite this the shape it creates is so brilliant that I just can't stop wearing it! Read more 88 more words
This bra fits identical to my black and grey Freya Deco bras in the same size, 28GG.
The fabric is soft and beautiful in a muted mint-blue color with very thin black micro chain-link stripes. My favorite part is the fully adjustable straps. The elastic has a soft almost felt like feeling under the elastic with a satin finish on the top. These straps are much better than the traditional elastic used on the basic Deco models. There is a small satin bow where the strap meets the cup, and there are two small black buttons on the center gore.
This bra is, I think, meant to be a successor to the discontinued Pollyanna. Unfortunately, the 28 band on the Faye is significantly looser than the 30 band on the Pollyanna. It also seems to stretch out quickly--after a few weeks of wear, I've already got it fastened on the second set of hooks. I also fasten my Pollyanna on the second set of hooks now--but I've had it for a year and a half.
I'd say a there's a bit less volume at the top of the cups in the Faye than the Polly., but it still works ok on my relatively full on top breasts.
For me, this bra fits well, gives a great round profile and supports well. However, the material is quite boring, but at the same time visibile through tight-fitting tops, which means that it's neither good-looking nor practical. The material is in two layers, probably fused together, however, the upper one has started to "move" and wrincle just a bit.
It as a sligtly lower center and is the closest to the Freya Polyanna I've found in 28GG.
This fit just OK. I measure a 28G. and that probably would have fit better. There was some cup wrinkling and this bra gave me a really weird puffy shape.
A size too big, but I think this would be better on someone fuller on top regardless of size. It gapes at both the top (creasing along the seam with the lace) and there is a ton of empty space at the sides (too wide). What is worse, when the wire is at the IMF, it rolls off my ribcage in an uncomfortable way and the gore digs in a bit even just when trying on. I don't think that changing the size would fix the fit.
This bra is definitely a no for me, I have gapping at the top of the cup, wrinkling at the bottom (only on my smaller side) and a good three quarters of an inch of empty space on the sides. The gore is also too wide, but was semi comfortable for some reason. This bra would be great for someone who IS a 28GG and wants a bit of va-va-voom cleavage.
I’m always attracted to bright floral prints on black, so I hoped this one would work for me (with an extender) while I lose the baby weight. Sadly not. I’ve never tried a Freya half cup in this size range before, but I now understand why people say they’re wide and shallow! The wires on this go almost to my back. I didn’t wear it for very long because I knew that would be super annoying after a while.
I tried this on in store, and was very happy with how it fit and felt. I ordered it online when it went on sale. Unfortunately, as soon as I had worn it for more than an hour, the high gore started poking into my sternum. I seem to have increased in cup size, because this (in addition to all of my other bras) is now giving me a slight quad-boob.
This is probably my current favorite bra and pretty much all I wear now. It looks great under clothes, the round uplifted shape and smooth cups with no lines are perfect for me since I practically live in T-shirts. The band runs big and stretchy, but the 28GG felt comfortably snug once I washed it and broke it in a bit compared to my 30G that still feels too loose on the tightest hook. It’s very supportive on me in this size, I can jump up and down and barely even jiggle. The foam cups are a bit stiff at first but my soft tissue conforms to ...them nicely and they really soften up after a few washes.
I prefer this style over the Deco Vibe since the more closed top edge with the seam tends to cut in a bit if you’re more FOT. I’m wide set, wide rooted, and splayed so I basically never get cleavage even if I wear a size too small but this bra does give me a more front and center appearance instead of the usual East west thing I have going on. My boobs are like two sisters that don’t get along and stay on opposite sides of a shared bedroom, but somehow this bra brings them together enough that I almost get a cakes on a plate effect. Almost, not quite though. I might try taking in the band on my 32FF and 32G Deco vibes just to see how they compare with a better fitting band though, I do wish this one had a racer back option to see if that helps in my quest for decent cleavage.
I love that this a pretty plain, solid color bra since that’s exactly my style. The material is soft, silky, and there’s nothing too frilly going on except for three small bows on the straps and gore that are easy enough to remove. I could do without the scalloped trim at the bottom since sometimes it folds under and bothers me, but that’s really my biggest complaint besides wishing they made a 28H since my larger side is prone to quadding during hormonal fluctuations. I’ve tried taking in the band on a 30GG but it’s a bit too tall for my short roots at that size.
As long as Freya continues making this bra I’ll have several on rotation for daily wear. It’s comfortable for most of the day and looks so nice under a shirt that I haven’t felt the need to try anything else after I struck out on so many other styles before finding this one. I feel like its a great bra. My skin is sensitive but this bra doesnt affect me as much as Parfait, so that's good.
I ordered a tighter band, because I've had an experience with Freya bands being too loose/stretching fast. I wanted a bra that fits For a longer time than it doesnt fit.
I love the design and feel super cute.
Its not the most supportive bra but its still my favorite one I currently have. If it had the cut of Natori Feathers Plunge, Itd be even better
1. Cup poking tail of spence 2. Feel like doesn't fully filling the bottom of the cup, and the breasts are being pressed the top of the cup 3. I bend front and there are gaps between my breasts and the bra near armpit. 4. Band a little tight
I don't usually look good with plunge bra breasts looks bigger since it is padded and moulded bra
My tolerance for wires and wide gores is nearly zero. My review may reflect my frustration with bra manufacturers and current level of pain after wearing this for 3 minutes.
1. The straps are wide and nearly identical to those on Wacoal La Femme. 2. The gore is 1" wide. Too wide for my close-set pair. La Femme's gore is nearly .5" lower than Deco and more comfortable, but still too wide. 3. The cup edge shows through my capsule wardrobe's t-shirt: La Femme did not. 4. The foam is thick, but doesn't add much volume which is great for me. 5. The band stretches to 28". And, because the wires were sitting on my breasts, I used a full extender.
My breasts are screaming, and I wore this for three minutes. Thankfully, I will soon be wearing Kindred Bravely's French Terry Nursing Bra.
Hate the thick seam on top of the cup. I sought out an older Deco without it and like it much better. I like the Deco because the cups seemed a bit softer, but the gore height between the two certainly makes a huge difference in fit!
This is one shallow half cup. After having worn a few Wacoals, this seems a cheaply made bra. Cons: 1. The fabric is not so soft. 2. The band is a single layer of mesh. 3 The Gore is 1.1" wide: not a good choice for close-set, center-full breasts.
Advantages: 1. Cup lining is smooth and thin; doesn't add bulk 2. Straps are .75" wide 3. Pattern is cute https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />
Wide, shallow breasts may adore this bra pattern, but it is not an appropriate choice for my immediately projected, center full, close-set breasts.
So, appearance-wise, this is definitely my favorite bra I've owned since I started this journey! It is just soooo cute. In pictures, it can seem purple and black, but in reality it's more of a sweet pink with soft, dark gray trim and pink, gray, and blue tones in the clover design. I'm definitely going to have to buy the matching underwear when I get another chance to splurge.
It's not a perfect fit for me, and I figured it wouldn't be, but it's wearable and adorable and for that I'm willing to settle https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" /> The cups are much too wide and ...shallow for my shape; I get a bit of center quadding, and can't quiiite fill out the bottom. The gore might also be a bit wide for my breasts, but my soft tissue isn't fussy and can be pushed around without discomfort. The band is just a smidge on the tight side for a 28, and only has 2 hooks, which is a bit of a let down when you're dealing in this size range. Being a moulded cup style, the cups are a bit on the thick side, so this bra could get hot during the sweltering summer months.
All in all, I really love the look of this bra and plan to get a lot of wear out of it! Read more 121 more words
Good plan to wear it a lot because it really looks so fine on you.
Looks great on you! I just received this same bra in size 28GG today!! I purchased it full price from Bras-Galore because I was having a difficult time finding it in this size ( I scoured the web because I didn't want this one to get away from me!). I agree that the 28 band is a bit tight for a Freya 28 band. I might have to wear an extender for a while until it loosens up a bit.
SavvyL I got it on sale from Brastop! They have a pretty okay selection for 28GG. I'm glad you were able to find it, though, it's such a pretty bra.
Hate the thick seam on top of the cup. I sought out an older Deco without it and like it much better. I like the Deco because the cups seemed a bit softer, but the gore height between the two certainly makes a huge difference in fit!
