It is pretty shallow for a bra of its cup size - I have too much projection, so simultaneously I spill out of some parts of it, and there's gaping in other parts. Tightening the straps helps, but I have to tighten them to the point of them digging to get rid of the gaping elsewhere. Probably would work for someone who is pretty shallow!
Did the gore bother you? I've tried two Freyas, and the gore width at the bottom was....very discouraging. I'm realizing I've always had problems with the gore base width and didn't know it.
I think my big issue is that I have no space, height or width for a gore. In a bra my breasts touch all the way down . Hard to say which part of the gore bothered me more. It was definitely too wide and also too tall. I ordered this in a 28H too to see if maybe part of the problem was I needed a bigger cup. The H was huge on me and the gore still was pressing everywhere on breast tissue. In the 28GG , there was not enough immediate projection. I've found the Freyas give kind of a pointy shape which I don't care for.
This bra is *almost* perfect for my wide root breats. The only problems are the gore not sitting flat, and the cup cutting in a little bit along the top. I think a 28H would be perfect...but, they don't make it in 28H https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> I'm keeping my 28GG even though the fit is a little small because I love this bra so much!
The shape of the Deco Vibe cups seems to work for me. The cups are definitely stiffer than older Decos and I think this is the reason a lot of people have commented it runs a cup smaller. I ordered my usual Deco size of 28GG and it fit me as expected. The stiffer cups and additional trim along the cup edge helps the cups keep their shape in any position--standing, sitting, slouching, leaning forward etc. This works fine for my neither FOT nor FOB breasts. FOT ladies have complained there is less room at the top of the cup. There are small details about this bra that ...are super romantic. There's a subtle bit of lace edging along the band and also a mesh/lace panel between the cups. Very pretty for a tshirt bra. Like my other Deco 28GG bras, the band is stiff but measures just over 28 inches stretched. Even though I measure sub-28 and the band rides up slightly, the stiffness of the band offers me adequate support and I disagree with the broad assumption that "Freya bands run loose". As with all my other Decos in 28GG, 28G and 30G, the gore soft tacks. Read more 91 more words
back runs really big, ive altered mine. like most bras the straps sit too far apart but this style does have relatively narrow wires which is a nice change
+ Strap placement is better than average, from what I've experienced thus far. If you have narrow shoulders, you may want to try this bra.
+ If you experience the outside edges of the cups digging into you a lot, try this. It came nowhere near doing that to me, and I get that with almost every bra.
Negatives:
-The gore is way too high if your breasts are close set, like mine.
-The band isn't super tight, but the very bottom of the underwire digs into a spot right between 2 of my ribs.
-It's a small thing, but the fabric isn't as soft as I'd prefer. The skin is sensitive there!
-If you have a tall, narrow root that is shallow on top and projected on bottom like I do, this may work for you if you're willing to alter the cup slightly or live with wrinkling at the top.
I've owned a lot of Decos but I like that the newer models come with the piping/additional strip of fabric along the top of the cup. It's an improvement on the design making the cup less open at the top but also reinforcing the cup shape so that there continues to be a smooth line along the top of the cup. The older models had a tendency to become misshapen and slouch within a few wears. Not a huge problem in the older models, but a nice improvement, nonetheless. On the other hand, while benefiting shapes like me, this design change may not benefit breast shapes that are ...clearly full on top and may cut compared to the older model design. The straps on this bra are like no other Freya Deco I own. They have ridges and ripples to prevent the adjuster from slipping. It's unnecessary for me, but some users may prefer it. I like soft smooth straps. The gore doesn't lie completely flat for me, but that's a combination of me having much center fullness as well as the band being a bit bigger than what would be a perfect length. Of course, this still fits better than all of my 30G Decos. Read more 99 more words
As all my other deco's, I love these ones, I will keep one buying the new ones if the design looks good to me. There we have the Nude, and the Lagoon blue which has beautiful prints one the cups. Although the nude colour is not glamourous, it is practical. The blue one though is a crazy design, I love it! I would love to show it in the summer (of course, I won't!), as the colour makes the sun tan glow.
My n°1 everyday bra. It is my favourite colour in the Deco range. Plus, I love the button detail -better than ribbon-, the satin straps and lace covered sides.
The 28GG is my best fit although I can wear 30G as a t-shirt bra, and 28G/30FF for extra cleavage.
Because it is the best everyday bra I found so far, I also have it in Nude and Lagoon.
As for the Hatty in Glacier, the Hatty in the Viola colour is super comfortable. And, I managed to get it in my size, 28GG! It is the perfect everyday bra compared to the 30G (although the biggest one is practical when I know I will have a big family dinner). The Viola is a bright purple/pink, ideal for the summer. I don't even bother trying to hide the bra straps as they look so pretty.
I *really* like this. After growing out of my 30G - Parisa Fe » Florence Plunge Push-up (PT1037) I had to go back to my old 32E - Freya » Taylor (4971) temporarily. Obviously the band was way too big and the cups were now too small, but it reminded me of how much I liked Deco and Deco recolors. I went on Amazon and the new Rebel colorway was on sale with free shipping and returns, so I gave it a shot in 28G and 28GG. The 28G fit okay but now I finally have all that tissue that used to poke ...out under my armpits actually back in the bra cup! And it's staying there, so I guess that answers the "migrated tissue or side flab" question. I was worried about it not being projected enough since I eventually developed creases in the bottom of the cups on the Taylor from my breasts pushing out and down on the fabric. I'm splayed and a bit thin in the middle (maybe not really conical anymore, though) and I love love love the way this sits in the middle. The gore is short enough not to poke me and the contour of the cups follow my chest perfectly (I'm almost exactly even) with no gaping or quadboob. Even when I relax my shoulders and lean forward, it really barely gaps at all which, for a molded cup, must be some sort of sorcery. The band feels very nice and snug - I could almost use am extended and I have a 27 inch ribcage. It seems very well made and there are no odd edges rubbing me. I was iffy about the color, since I usually don't care for animal prints, but Rebel is actually quite tasteful and fun-looking. It's more of an abstract pattern of paintbrush dabs that look animal-ish, if that makes sense. It's beige enough to be a decent nude color for a light to medium skin tone and the straps are solid. I like the pink accents in the pattern and on the bows. I took it off to record the measurements and I was so eager to get it back on, it was so comfy. So all in all, I'm very pleased with this one so far. I'm going to keep a look out for more colors to build my collection - assuming this was my last growth spurt and my size is going to stay put now! Read more 311 more words
Wow, this is not a great bra for my shape. It caused me major East/West boobs. I took the tags off and washed it because I had high hopes I could do something to fix that, but there is just no solution sadly.
It's also too small in the cups, so that adds to the unfortunateness.
Like the lined one, I bought this because at the time it was basically me as a bra. Cute, comfy, and polka dotted (I LOVE polka dots). Sad it didn't work out.
I adore this bra. The print is fantastic. The shape isn't bad, but of course the wires are a bit wide.
This is the bra where I realized that a 28GG is actually too small for me. I am about to see if I can remove the seam from the top of the cup and find out if it'll open it up more (I think, haven't decided).
I really don't want to sell it. Something is compelling me to keep it.
The only thing I don't like is how fat the straps are. It's kind of annoying.
Anyway, for someone who's 29" underbust like me, this stretchy-ish 28 from Freya works just fine in the band.
Again, print is adorable and it's super comfy. Highly recommend it.
I really like this bra. The fabric is very comfortable and the beige color is just perfect for wearing underneath white or lighter shirts with my lighter skin tone. The pattern looks nice but does not show through clothing. This is almost the perfect size and shape for me. The gore is just a smidge too wide for me, but not bad at all. This fits my smaller breast perfectly, but gives very slight quad boob on my larger breast. The projection is just perfect for me. I will say that like most Freya bands, it is very, very stretchy. I have only worn this a few times and I have already had to move to the second set of hooks and I feel like I am going to have to move to that last set in the future.
