Too excited on the price in the Rack; didn't notice all the empty space on the sides. I really wish Nordstrom would sell the full ranges from Freya and Panache, instead of starting at 30E https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />. I never wanted to gain a cupsize so badly!
It's gorgeous though. Absolutely beautiful! I would love this in my size.
The clearance price put me into some weird frenzy that made me think it fit at the Rack. It is definitely too big. I wish Nordstrom would carry these in 28-30 D-E; it's a shame they start at 30E for these bras. It leaves a lot of us out https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
A regular nude Deco in 30E made me want to cry, but this colorway is angels holding up my boobies. WTH, boobs? Get it together, girls! Anyway, love this bra! Went to the Nordstrom Rack bra clearance sale a week after it started. I was sure everything good would be gone. But lo and behold, this treasure awaited me! As per the conventional wisdom with Freya Deco cuts, 30E fit me well (in most other brands I take 32E). Did I mention I love this bra? I love the fabric (it seems to me that something called Deco should look, well, art deco). I got the charcoal and green colorway instead of the black and brown. I like the greater contrast. So far, it is very comfortable. Yay! I found a Deco that works for me! Happy dance! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" />
My overall impression about this bra is very good. The fit is ok since it's a very nice construction, my breast generally gets on easily with half-cups and vertical cuts.
The shape – is very rounded in profile, Ivy gives the impression that my breast are bigger than they are in reality.
The underwires – when I wear this bra, I feel like they were too wide. This impression is not confirmed by the measurements, the cup width is “standard” for this size and the underwires aren't particularly flexible. I guess that it's related to the straps' position and the distance between the strap and the underwire. In other words, ...the straps are too centred for me, I prefer the strap position like in EM bras.
The straps – very wide and comfortable like in all Freya bras, I find them very long too.
The band – I bought Ivy in 30E because it was the last size likely to fit me, usually I wear 28 bands in Freya. I also thought that such a large band would be too constrictive in 28F. I was very surprised when I first tried Ivy on. The band is not only long but also very stretchy, definitely too loose for me. I have to fasten it on the tightest hooks and it's still not stable enough. If I ever try an another Freya longline bra, it'll be in 28F. I'm also very disappointed by the fact that their other bras based on the same or similar cut start at 30 band. I'd love to try some other half-cups from this brand, but I would be obliged to alter the band. The band is comfortable but it tends to ride up and the hooks are visible under the clothes. The gores a tiny bit big for me but otherwise it fits really well. It's my consistent Freya sizing of 30E (I wear the same in the Deco and Taylor). Over all it's pretty great!
Seems like the bra fairies custom tailored this bra to my big side! The shape is a little pointy without a shirt, and the shape collapses under a fitted polo shirt (which is what I wear to work). From the photos, it looked blue, gray, lavender and brown. The brown is actually my favorite color, aubergine. Yay! Update: It is threatening to quad if I pull my arms back and stick my chest out, so I'll have to keep an eye on this one as my tissue continues to migrate. :/ Update 2: It's official; after further tissue migration, it quads on me if I breathe too deeply. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
The band is too snug for me, but I can just wear an extender with it until it stretches out. I have a bit of spillage at the gore, but this is to be expected with plunges. It's a bit difficult for me to adjust it when I put it on, but it's otherwise great.
This is my best fitting bra so far. The band fits on me just right, I fill the cups just right, etc. I wish it were a little taller under the arms to hold in some under arm chub, and I wish the front longline part didn't roll up when I bend forward, but I can live with those things.
I'm in between a 30DD and a 30E in this bra. There is slight gaping in the 30E unless I pull my shoulders back. To reduce the gaping, I have to tighten the straps more, but that causes the straps to rub against the front of my armpits somewhat uncomfortably if I move around. The material on this bra might feel a bit scratchy at first, but after a few washes, it should feel more comfortable.
This is a very nice bra. It runs smaller than the normal deco in the cups due to the decoration at the top. Personally, I am not a fan of the colours, so I am moving on with this one.
This bra fits me perfectly. It is a very full cup bra, so not great under revealing clothes. It gives a nice rounded shape, so looks good under tighter tops. It is my everyday bra that I wear all day at work, because it is very comfortable and supportive.
This is the go-to t-shirt bra for me. I need to swoop and scoop in a certain way so I don't spill over or have empty cups. Still prefer unpadded lace cups though.
I feel like this fits better than the Deco even though they're the same cut. How in the world? I love the grey stripes and the fuzzy turquoise edging on the cups.
I've loved the look of the Totally Tartan since it first came out, so I sprung for it when I saw it on sale. I want it to fit. I want it to fit so badly, and if I didn't know better I could excuse the fit issues. The band is definitely too big - I can pull it out a good six inches or so off my back - but sadly it doesn't come in a 28. Putting it on a tighter hook helps. It quadboobs near the center and gapes where the straps meet the cup depending on my posture - holding my shoulders back as I should definitely helps with that. Slouching even makes the quadboob become gaping! I always thought half-cups would be a decent fit for me, but this bra just has me completely baffled.
I agonized over whether to return this bra or not for a really long time, but in the end decided to return it. It doesn't fit. Maybe another time I'll try again.
I was so excited to try this bra. I was so disappointed when I did. I don't even know how to explain what it looked like on me. My best try at it is if I loosen the straps a little, it gapes horribly at the top. If I wear it with the straps tightened as much as I usually do on other bras, I get a weird crease down the side of my boob. Not normal quadboob; I've seen plenty of that. This is like my boobs grew plumbers cracks, if you know what I mean. I have my usual crack down the center of my chest, and half an inch on either side, a new crack. It looks weird as heck. I guess this bra isn't going to work for me. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
This bra came highly recommended for shallow shapes- but I was hesitant to try on such a padded bra. This bra made my full-on-bottom breasts appear pretty top heavy, even causing slight quadboobing once I properly scooped and swooped. I'm not convinced that it fits perfectly, but it does fit the best out of all the bras I've tried on thus far. The top of the gore lies flat, but the bottom does not, perhaps this is just a result of my weird concave sternum. I also tried on this bra in a 28F, but decided that even though the 28 band did manage to fit, my bony ribcage feels much more comfortable in a 30 band. For now, I think I'll be holding onto the 30E, as it is a great nude color, disappears under thin clothing and is much better than the 34Cs that I'd been wearing previously.
