Me: Narrow roots, narrow shoulders, evenly round, lots of immediate projection, slightly FoB, splayed, left-heavey by more than a cup size, 31" underbust, but prefer tight band with extender. Panache, Freya size 30GG
Yet again, Freya doesn't do it for me. Nicely U shapped underwires a little to wide but more importantly, neither high enough or low enough and just leaves a half and half side bulge. Also, not a lot of immediate projection. I was told this model was the best for that, but it really isn't. Lots of wrinlling at the bottom of the cup and lots of empty upper fullness space at the top pf the cup. Cup not too big, promise. Just the wrong shape.
Straps are closer set than Freya Faye etc.. Nice U back and fully adjustable straps. Only two hooks,
Nice mesh lower cup lining, but outer and upper cup are fairly stiff fabric - maybe it will soften in the wash?
The band is a little big. I am in between 30 and 32, so 30 was the best choice for me in this model. The cups are weird... shallow and wide. definetly not easy on women with different size breasts. I am full-on-top and usually need more projection, however the cup fits perfectly on my smallest boob, but there is a small quad-boob on my right side. This does not show much under clothes.
The straps and wires are wide, wich is perfect for me. I have wide shoulders and some breast tissue almost under my arm. This would not fit well for women with narrow roots.
The 'padded' cups are lightly padded. It is as thin a spacer cup, but with vertical seams for support.
I like this bra because it is the first one I ever tried with wires wide enough and not too hign for me. The wires encapsulate mu breast tissue very well withouth poking my underarm, My breasts are full on top and my biggest boob wants to escape from the cup. This is a 30GG and I tend do wear 30-32G... Maybe I would nee dto go up a cup size for this specific model? The fabric on the top does not contain my breast well (I am used to wear full cup bras). The band is wery comfortable, soft, and not too strechy. The straps are soft and confortable, but wide set, which could be a problen for women with narrow shoulders. It is not a seam -free, but it could be used as a t-shirt bra because they are barely visible under t-shirts.
I am a 30GG (UK size) in Panache Envy Balconette. This Freya 30GG fits everywhere except the top of the cup, which curls out slightly making the top edge of the bra visible under t-shirts. I sent the 30 g back for the same reason, figuring I just needed to go up a cup size.
This bra is the reason the Deco is so beloved. Snazzy color, cute buttons, great shape & fit. My only complaint would be that sometimes, when I'm driving (so, sitting & slouching forward) the underwires sometimes dig in under my arms. This isn't a problem at any other time.
I love this bra! I hadn't owned a Deco for some years before I picked this up (thanks, Bratabase!) and this and my Fantasie Jana are basically all I want to wear these days unless I'm in a sports bra. The detailing is subtle but lovely (there's a cute shiny plastic charm at the gore). Straps are thin but strong and don't slip off my shoulders. Optional racerback clip is awesome.
This bra is 'passable' and I do wear it, but it really buckles in the bottom of the cups. Not enough projection for me!
Funnily the Deco Lagoon in the same size is a much better fit on me. I've written a review on the 30GG Lagoon, comparing my 4 current Deco bras (this charcoal, Deco Honey in Jade, silver Deco Charm and my favorite: Lagoon).
I love the color of this bra and the detailing at the gore and the wings. I'm really a 30H, and really wanted my "sister size" to work out. It just didn't.
I have four Decos; two 'regular' ones in Lagoon and Charcoal. Next to that two 'special' Deco editions; Honey in Jade & Charm in Silver. All are 30GG but all fit a bit differently. Have yet to add the Charm + Honey, but it also seemed informative to compare the four here?
The Lagoon probably has my preference. Love the print & color scheme! The band is a bit large (stretchiest of the four) and ideally I would wear it in 28H / 28HH. However, it's comfortable and fits quite well. The Charcoal in the same size has a less stretchy band and this bra causes buckling in the ...bottom of the cup. There's a permanent crease where the bottom does not offer enough projection. So a bit too small. Doesn't show under clothes though.
Then silver Charm - similar band size but there's some scratchy/rougher edges that make the band leave painful marks. Mostly on my right side. Due to this I'd rather not wear it for al full day. The silver is pretty though! Cup is a bit less 'open' on top, but not really cutting in (unlike the Spotlight; which I tried and returned).
Last but not least the Honey in Jade: beautiful color but slightly small. Has a similar roughness to the band as Charm, though leaving less of a mark. Mostly matches the Charcoal in fit & size, but buckles less!
All in all the Lagoon is my favorite looking of the four, and I guess also fits best. Read more 143 more words
Recently lost weight so I needed to size down in the cup. The band was also way too stretchy, so I sized down in that as well. This is one of my favorite bras, it made me quite a fan of half cups!
Edit May 2015: Now that I have a better idea of my shape, I've realized the wires are just too wide for me, so I will be selling this bra.
This is a very cute bra, but I don't think the design suits my shape. The top edge of the cups flattens my boobs into a strange shape while simultaneously giving me a bit of quad-boob. I think this might not be for someone who is even or FOT, and is likely better suited to someone FOB. Great lower and inner projection and nice narrow cups, though. If it fit me on top I'd be so happy!
I was excited to try the new 30GG size in Freya's padded half cup bras. In the past, I have had to "sister-size" up to a 32G, since the half cups stopped at G. While the Freya Totally Tartan and Bombshell fit me fine in a 32G, this 30GG is too small in the cups. I get some slight quadra-boob. The 30 inch band is fine, however. I think the cups are just too wide and too shallow for me and the design is such that the top section cuts in a bit. I would say this style is more similar to the Freya Lauren padded half cup from a fit perspective.
Wow, does this run small!! I ordered the Eden half cup and the Freya Fifi half cup at the same time in size 30GG. They both arrived on the same day. The Eden is VISIBLY smaller. The 30 band is MUCH tighter than the 30 band on the Fifi. The cups also run differently than the Fifi. The side of the cups come very high, so much so that it is unwearable (serious rubbing near my underarm). The cups did not fit. I think they were too shallow and wide for me. I had extra fabric on ...the bottom of the cup, but the top of the cup dug in. Also, since the cups were small, the top hit very low on my breast, almost at the middle, close to my nipples. I think this style is closest to the Patsy, which I also cannot wear because the sides come up too high. I was very disappointed because I LOVE the Freya Totally Tartan. I have both colorways of the Totally Tartan padded half cup bra in 32G (does not come in 30GG, but I can manage on the tightest hook). I also have the Freya Bombshell in 32G, which works fine on the tightest hook. Neither the Fifi nor the Eden worked for me in 30GG, although the 30 band in the Fifi was perfect. I usually wear a 30GG in other styles and brands (Freya Deco, Cleo Maya, for example). Read more 150 more words
