This is the closest fit I'm likely to get in this Freya style. The band is a little tight, and the wires don't feel quite wide enough, but the 36 band only works for me on the smallest hooks, so 34 it is. The straps feel a tad narrow as well. Not a terrific fit, but I think I can live with it. It might become more comfortable over time.
What I do like about this bra is the rounded shape that it gives me. I'm not a fan of padding, but there's something about the styling of this bra that makes my FOB boobs look fantastic. Really ...rounds the girls up and points them in the right direction. There's a lot of support in the side panels. I even get cleavage with this bra! My breasts are a bit wide set, so cleavage has always been an elusive dream. This bra delivers.
That said, there are very few pieces of clothing I can actually wear this bra under. The seams are very visible in a T-shirt, and the lace on the cups stands up, rather than lying flat on the top of my breasts. This is a bra to wear under medium weight or heavier shirts. Probably good for winter, under lots of layers. Read more 108 more words
I'd tried this in a 36E and it was too big in both band and cup so figured I'd try a band down and a cup down. It fits nearly perfect, the cups are a hair too tall for my short roots yet, but I think going down to a DD would cause major quad-boob. It gives a nice shape and looked fine underneath a tank top.
Shape is not quite as round as my benchmark, Cleo Lucy (5851). But it has a continuous band, so it rates further wear. The construction is quite nice. I love the straps; they are nice and thick. Although the straps being fully adjustable doesn't do anything for me, it may for other ladies. They are fabric covered most of their length, and the remainder of the straps is nicely textured. All of the seams are backed with purple. Assuming nothing goes wrong when I put it to use, I think I may have a keeper here.
Update: as many other people have noted, the band has stretched to Hades & back, and I'm using the 3rd set of hooks, despite gaining weight since I bought it. Cups fit well enough, so I may shorten the band. Freya, y u make such stretchy bandz?!?!
Overall very comfy, very little gapping, but not enough imediate projection, pushes underwire past imframmary fold. Will keep, because of comfort, and under shirt silhouette is great, almost a t-shirt bra, despite being a soft-cup.
Lovely bra, but unfortunately a cup size too small for me which makes the band too snug to be comfortable. The cups are also a bit tall for my root. Otherwise, it seems like a great bra, lots of support, smooth under clothing, and the multiway is really handy, especially for girls with narrow shoulders like me, converting to a racerback is easy and helpful. Wish this fit me properly.
Bra moves around a lot while wearing it (constant need to keep scooping back into it), the straps are too wide apart and the center gore hurts/is too tall. Lots of fit issues.
This bra again, I bought it and it doesn't quite fit. My breasts are larger than they were when I first purchased a 34E (tissue migration) and I need to upsize. The problem has gotten worse the longer I wear the 34E's, so I'm trying to upsize.
this bra nearly works. It's very pretty, and the material is pretty comfortable, aside from itchy lace at the top of the cup. The bird print goes all the way around, and there are a ton of cute details like lace up the front seam, and bows on the straps and gore. There's even a little trim along the bottom and top of the band. The fit is where things get messy.
The band on this feels good on the tightest hook, but i think sizing down to a 32 would mean id need to wear en extender while it broke in so it didn't distort the wires. For ...this reason i marked the band too large in fit- it technically doesn't feel like its too small, but since i already have it on the tightest hook and the material is very stretchy, i know it'd be a matter of days before it was too loose.
Additionally, it wants to roll up which is SUPER frustrating. I think its because the material is thin and stretchy like a VS band, and its one of those "mesh with a piece of elastic on top and bottom" style bands. I cant stand this feeling, augh!
The cups are a bit too small. when im fully scooped into the cups, the tighter lace section cuts me off and i get a little quadboob, They seem to close off very wuickly, which is a problem for me in other styles like this. 34DD - Freya ยป Patsy Padded Half Cup Bra (1223) did the same to me, although that was definitely too small in the cups looking back. The shape i get from this is a little torpedo-y, probably because it's too small. I think I'd get a good shape in a proper size.
Under wire width seems good in this, i feel no cutting in or empty space. My breast tissue is trying to bulge a little over the sides of the underwire, but i think if i got a larger size that actually fit, this wouldn't happen. I feel like its because the cup is already tight and the tissue has nowhere else to go.
I probably wont try another size in this due to the band style, but i might give it a go if i see one in person instead of playing the order online game. Read more 288 more words
i had high hopes for the deco, but both sizes i ordered (34DD and 34E) didn't work. i chose not to upload many pictures of this one, since it looks pretty identical to the other deco, aside from obviously being a little larger.
The 34E can be closed on the last hook snugly, and although i fill the cups when i first put it on, i settle in and get gaping at the top. I have this issue with many molded cup bras, so i'm thinking my shape just doesn't mesh well with them. I don't have much upper fullness, so i get either gaping or slight overspill in ...a smaller size. Both show through t shirts fairly obviously, but at-least with overspill i can wear a lower cut shirt and pretend its cleavage. the under wire seems wide and long enough, and the gore is low enough to not dig me badly. I do feel the straps are slightly too wide, but i think that may be more of me getting used to being in the correct cup sizes. They dont slip off my shoulders, but do pinch the skin of my underarms when i move my arms forward.
you can see how much gaping i get on my smaller right side if i move my arm forward at all- not good. i cant stand the idea of a bra that only works if i stand completely straight with my arms back. Driving in these kinds of bras is an uncomfortable nightmare, and i do a lot of driving, blegh.
the aesthetics of this bra are nice, but it just doesn't work for me. Read more 165 more words
It's a bit difficult for me to be objective about this bra. I wore it for a while. I did appreciate the lower gore and cup design. However, I wore it before I learned about swooping and scooping. It seemed acceptable. The right cup would leave red marks on my breast from where it continually bit into the skin. Then I learned how to push my boobs into a bra, and my Phoebe became the worst fit ever. I had so much quadboob. No more Es for me.
Didn't know this was shallow when I purchased it, which probably explains why the cup doesn't fit quite right. It started gaping at the top after a little while, and I also didn't quite fill the bottom. The band stretches out quite a bit, so I'd likely need to size down to a 32. The straps are too far apart and dig into my underarms causing them to roll whenever I move my arms forward(like when I'm typing).
This ran much too small in the cup for me. I tried it because it was recommended for my shape (narrow root, full on bottom, wide shoulders) and the feel of this bra is just absolutely lovely. I'm going to be exchanging it for a 34F and I hope that fits because I love the shape and the feel of this bra.
I really like this bra, and I find it to be very comfortable on most points. It's also very cute.
Personally I think I need a cup up. I have pillowing at the top and cleavage of the cup. Works nice in booby shirts though.
The band is firm, but not uncomfortable. I'm between 32 and 34. I'm comfortable in the 34 but I'm on the second hook. I think I might be able to swing the 32 but it could be a bit too tight for a little while.
The main area this bra is somewhat uncomfortable is the straps are more side-set than I like. They cut into my underarm somewhat and the straps can be finicky.
Well, the band is too loose. This is brand new and I already have to hook the innermost hook to make it stay. The cups are wrinkling at the top, but the wire itself seems to be a good fit; I think the cups are just too deep for my soft boobs. They aren't supported properly and they're falling down a bit to create an unfortunate pointy shape. Also, the wire doesn't extend fully to the end of the cup...
For a plunge pretty date night bra, I love it. It is a thin mesh and support wise is good, however by the end of the day my bustline is tired and the mesh is a little scratchy. Because it is a plunge style, the middle gore is too wide for my narrow frame so it hurts after a full day's wear. Overall, it holds up well but I hand wash my bras.
Like my Freya Taylor bra the band is slightly too big for me, but the 32 band is so tight I can't breathe, so I stuck with the 34. It doesn't ride up so it's at least a lot better than the bras I used to wear (36D). This bra is a great basic to have and it fits comfortably.
This is one of the first bras since I've properly measured myself that fits very nicely. The band is a tad too big (but not so much that it rides up), but when I tried a 32 band for the same bra it was so tight I had trouble breathing. This bra is very comfortable and gives great support.
This bra is the Freya Taylor. It's okay. For ten dollars, it's great. It's comfortable around the sides. There's no poking and it's comfortable to wear for long periods of time. It keeps everything up where it needs to be. Now, it's not perfect. The top part on the right cup gapes where my breast isn't big enough to fill the top, just enough to be annoying. It's slightly too small in the cup on the left hand side. If I scoop my breasts up to make it fit, it quadboobs. If I leave them alone, it's fits okay. I think it'll fit me better once I start working out again (after I get more time next week).
It's not good under t-shirts or under thin shirts because the decor creates a weird lining under the shirt. The straps seem like they're too far out to the side and while I'm not in danger of them slipping down, the front bit irritates where it meets the fatty bit that's between my underarm and chest.
I wasn't thinking when I bought this bra in a 34E. It fit well when I first tried it on, but I didn't think about tissue migration. Thankfully Nordstrom is letting me exchange it, after I cut the tags off, for a 34FF.
