This bra just arrived in the mail. It's the first bra I've bought in my newly discovered UK size: 34G. I used the calculator at The Sophisticated Pair to get this measurement. Unfortunately, the cup feels waayyy big. When I first put it on, I looked down and the cups looked gigantic. Then I did the scoop n swoop, and to my surprise they filled the cup a little more; but not enough to close the almost 1 inch gap that was between the top of my boob and the top of the bra. Not to mention how high up the cup came! I've never had my boobs ...so covered by a bra before, and I did not like it. It makes me feel like an old lady, it also feels restrictive. The 34 inch band was tighter than I was used to, and created a definite fat bulge on my back. But i can see how after some use that would not be as big of a problem. Will update when I get this in the right size, I think I am going to go down one size in the cup and see how that goes. I tried this bra on a whim while at Intimacy. The bright colors grabbed my attention and I knew I had to have it. Don't let the mesh fool you...this bra really is supportive, like my other Freya bras. This bra definitely makes me feel sexier underneath it all.
**update** I still love this bra. I try not to wear it often, but if I could, I would. The plunge isn't too much for me and I love the bright colors for summer
Is it you in the picture? It does seem as the person in it is spilling over a quite a bit in the cups. Have you tried a larger size?
Yes it is me, and I'm not spilling out of this bra at all; I will take a pic from the side to show this. I had a reduction (believe it or not) and the inner area of my breasts aren't as "smooth" as they would be on someone who hasn't had the surgery.
Thank you for your reply. Your reduction probably explains a lot, I guess the structure and shape isn't the same as with a breast of the same size that hasn't undergone surgery. And, yes, I believe you. No matter how much many claims to be a B-cup after surgery, few actually is.
I've had a reduction as well and I get that little bit of "spill over" in the middle, especially with plunge or lower-cut bras. I've tried sizing up, but end up swimming in them everywhere else. Nice to know it's not just me!
Soft comfortable bra, good for all day wear. The pattern doesnt really show through clothing and the straps are nice and wide so they dont dig in. Offers moderate support, but at the end of the day it can feel as though it is trying to pull my breasts into my armpits
Comfy bra, nice feel, one of the better ones ive found. Purchased this about 6 months ago, still fits well - although it is not quite the right size for me - as ive since been measured and have a better fitting Freya bra - this one still does the job.
