I fit ok in this bra but it's just a tad empty on top, especially on my smaller boob's side. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> So I'm not keeping it (it's being sold on here). The lack of breast weight to fully fill up and hold down the cups (my fault) makes the bra extra pointy and it looks somewhat weird from the sides. The bra has an older sort of shape to it, not a circle but more triangular. While I can find that attractive, I probably would only get an appealing old fashioned look if I sized down a cup. The seams definitely ... make this a hard to wear bra with most clothes, so it's more of a "sexy time bra".

Band is tight, more like a 28". I measure 26" below and 33" around the breasts (26F) but like 28s and 30s---the band was nice on me. The cups? Probably run true to size; this cup being just a little big on me can be expected if we look at sister sizes. I really do love the band and the bra itself is super pretty, but just not made for my shape. Someone with more projection and larger boobs would fit better, say a 28F/FF.

The top of the cups also try to encapsulate your breast tissue. This could be an issue for some people. It wasn't as plunge-y and revealing as I had expected.

Worth noting: No push up padding. Not sheer. Lightly padded cups with lace on top.

YESSSSS. Finally, a strapless swim top that doesn't threaten to pop over or under my boobs when I move! The cups are SUPER stiff and moulded with huge pushup pillows in them. I didn't expect the pillows at all actually, since I ordered the top off of ebay and the bottom off Gossard's website, since the top was no longer on there in Magenta. The padding helps to make the cup its actual size, if that makes sense. Essentially, if they left the cup size alone and just removed the padding, the cup would be too big for the size it's supposed to ... be.
Even though it has underwires, its way more comfy than any other bra I own. I'm not sure if thats owing to the way that the gore is made (v short with basically only the bottom part of 'traditional' gores that we're used to seeing.) On the wings and the band, there are silicone strips at the top and bottom to keep the band up, and the band itself is pretty tall, which is nice. It sits a teeny bit longer than a traditional underwired bra, but again you can see in all the stock photos and such that it's supposed to fit this way. The fabric is nice and plush, which is also helpful. Overall, its made of very thick materials and of sturdy construction, which is why I think its so comfy and supportive. Oh, and the band is small for a 30, so all my fellow 28-ers, this would definitely be okay for you https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
The cups themselves naturally give some pretty major cleavage (you can see this in the stock photos if you google 'Gossard Sienna Bandeau' and a nice round shape, only *hinting* at pointy-ness at the apex of the cup.
When I tried it on, I jumped up and down and mimed 'swimming arms' and it didn't budge!! Overall I'm really impressed and happy with this top (esp. since I got the matching bottoms on major sale https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" /> ). Pics coming soon and I'll update after I take it for a spin in the water!

    * I keep forgetting things. This top comes with a removable, thin halter strap and has gold accents https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

    • Jj is there any way for me to list this bra? I have the measurements in, but the system doesn't think I do! :o Thanks :)

    • Ah, it looks like this bra was requiring bust perimeter when it didn't need to. Try hitting "save" again on your measurements screen and see if it's good.

It is my first bra from UK, and it is perfect! I have purple one(the official name of colour is "Bordeaux"), and it is beautiful. It is little bit pointy, but fits me well. I removed pads from this bra https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
There is only one thing I feel uncomfortable: strap. Its strap is quite tight. That's the reason why I do NOT check "Excellent" for Comfort of this bra.
I have full on top. I have no idea about shallowness...But after checking some bras and reviews, I found that similar bras always fit for shallow boobs. Well then, I might be shallow too https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
The staff of bra shop(where I bought this bra) said its cup is not problem, but band length is little bit SMALL for usual "32" size. So it fits well for people who have slender underbreast and relatively bigger (standing)bust.

that's my favorite bra as of now, and we are the same size!! :)
i do love that the band is a tad snug as i ideally would have a 31 inch band.
i consider my breast to be "shallow", so maybe yours are too...

    • 1

      @Laurizle
Yes, you're right. I've searched some information and found that my breast is shallow :)
And, I want to order cleo's marcie for my next bra and you've got one!(Moreover, we are the same size as you said!) How amazing XD

    • 1

eek, well you know what's funny is that i just, like, right now, changed my fit for the cleo marcie, lol.
i think it maybe to closed ontop for you. but maybe you'll have good luck with it.
for me the gore hurt and the winds where not tall enough for me.

    • 1

      *wings, not winds, oops, haha.

    • PhyllisKim yep, Gossard bras do have tight bands. I have a 30D Gossard bra and the band only stretches out to be 29.5"

    • Laurizle Oh... then I have to be careful with it. Thank you for your advice :)

    • Saskia_C I agree! They're tight, obviously. I thought I'm 28FF~30F, but I become 32D with Gossard bras...

Beautiful bra & made very well. A very different look - unlined, sheer, soft cups with full coverage (sort of opposite of the modern padded push-up bra). This bra is actually very supportive, because it has a sheer lining in only half the cup that works like a vertical seam. So it gives a pretty shape & lifts well with no padding or seams.

The cups are slightly too large for me on top, wrinkling a bit. This bra is made for a very round breasts that are full on top. I regret not sizing down as reviewers suggested, but then again, the wires & cup depth through the ... bottom & middle of the bra fit well. I think it's just not made for my breast shape (fuller on the bottom). I wear this size in Gossard otherwise.

I'm keeping it because if I have even the slightest weight fluctuation (ie. period), then it fits very well. I can do "the scoop", stand up very straight, and tighten the straps a bit too tight to get rid of the wrinkles also....since the bra is TOTALLY SHEER, it's not like I wear it under sheer or very fitted tops. It's actually not a good t-shirt bra because of that, but good for loose, opaque blouses, especially if you want to de-emphasize your breasts (no padding, lining, etc).

Oh, as a side, Gossard panties run big! Their small is like a medium in US sizes (ie. compare to VS or CK panties).

I think this bra fits better than most I have tried. It was too big in the cups at 32DD and I think a 32D is a hair too small as I get a mini amount of quad boob at the top. Band is good, no wires poking and decent support. Looks good under a knit tee. I have really thin bra inserts that I tested and they work great for use to under knit shirts to help with nipple coverage. I've only worn padded bras my whole life so I have to get used to unlined.

Well, boo. After trying this bra in 3 different sizes, I think I have to just accept that the shape doesn’t work for me. It seems like the projection is in the upper middle of the cup, when I need it in the bottom half. FWIW: The cups are quite tall.

    - 30F (what I wear in Ewa Michalak BM): band fit, cups laughably large
    - 32DD (what I wear in Panache Cari): band too large, cups fit at bottom but too voluminous up top
    - 30DD: band fits, cups overall too small

I suppose I could try 30E, but I’m feeling like it’s probably not worth it. Too bad, because I love the triangle shape.

Apologies if I did not correctly enter this bodysuit when trying to add this style to the database.

First of all, this bodysuit has answered my prayers of finding something that has underwire/bra like support to keep my wide-set breast tissue in place! It's very fashionable and the pinstripes and how the sheer panels are placed gives it a 1920s/1930s art deco vibe. I like it - it's serious and structured, but not too serious and structured.

But alas, when selecting a bodysuit that is based on one's bra size, we run into Short Girl Problems and Abundant Hips & Butt Problems.

Based on the length of ... the torso, I think this bodysuit was meant for someone a little taller than 5'1".

Because a bodysuit needs to take into account not only the size of one's breasts, but also what the rest of her body is like, it introduces some incorrect (or stereotypical) assumptions. This bodysuit assumes that a woman with a 30 band size has a figure like Taylor Swift - willowy and slender throughout. Because I have a small waist and very wide hips for someone my height (I'm a classic pear shape), the fabric buckles or bunches up around the widest part of my hips. Thank goodness this is a thong bodysuit because my butt would never fit in this thing.

Oooooh gosh. Where do I begin with this one?

I wanted to try out a moulded non padded bra and to be quite honest it fits as what I about expected it to fit like, at least at this price. However, I might be misjudging the fit because the band on this is very very loose. I think ideally I would have needed a 28 band in this, it's that stretchy and loose. My snug is around 75cm and this thing stretched to 90cm!

That being said, the real issue with this bra for me is in the cups. It has the little supportive mesh side panel inside the cups ... and normally these don't really disfigure my breasts despite how soft they are but this thing? I think side view photos speak for themselves. Surprisingly, it doesn't look that bad under a loose shirt, but I think anything form fitting and it would look hilarious with this bra.
I don't plan on returning it, so maybe I'll just cut out the side panels from the inside? Not sure. The cups definitely have enough depth for me, but the panels obviously don't. Lol.

That being said, imho Gossard always made beautiful bras and this one is no exception. It's beautiful soft lace and the colour is something to talk about. The wires are flexible but also on the wider side, and surprisingly the gore tacks (I usually have an issue with Gossard gores - all of them float).

Overall, maybe I picked the wrong bra to test this out on? Maybe a Chantelle or Prima Donna or Empreinte or Maison Lejaby would have worked way way better? I kinda didn't wanna cash out for those though, because I have no idea how their sizing works and the one Chantelle I ever wore was ages ago. But I digress.

The top of the cups is very oddly flattening and it doesn’t look like it’s lifting you at all. To me your under shirt shot seems wider in this bra than the Comexim.

    • 1

Oh it definitely has no lift past the 'oh your boobs are a little higher than your belly'. Nothing even near a well fitting constructed cup! I think the moulded cup might not be for me? I need the structure and it's just not there eh?

    • 1

I was under the impression molded cups didn't fit very many people.

    • 1

      Now I know :(

    • I have one in 30g for sale in case if you want to try band size down :P
Overall looks good on you and gives nice round shape! I'd probably try with cutting out the side panels to see if that would fix the cup fit

    • Lol much as I'd like I think I'll pass, a 30G would even be worse with the side panels and I don't think this bra fitting like this is a size issue anyway. Just not meant for me... Honestly the more I look at the photos the worse it looks to me haha

    • Weelll if you'd come across 30f or 30ff let me know! id definietly give a try. Looks really light and sexy :D

    • It looks weird from the side, agreed. You could try Fantasie Lois. It’s got the side sling but it’s better than this. Prettier too, imo. Sorry that this one didn’t work.

    • Are the straps already let out to maximum length? Sometimes people get that in-cup vertical indent due to excess tension on the straps. But if they don't extend any longer, there is very little you can do about that, unfortunately!

    • Calluna Fantasie bras do not agree with my tall roots, I've learned the expensive way.

wendybien Yup they are completely let out! I think I'm gonna take this L and move on lol

    • 1

That looks sooo gooooood on you. Like Wow. You look drop dead gorgeous in this bra. And honestly I am not seeing the issue that you are seeing on the side. The only difference I am seeing is that band is not supporting you at all. I think taking it is in would make all the difference.
But each non-padded molded cup bra is not made the same! All those french brands cost that much because they are that much better. Honestly I have never seen someone not love an Empriente bra.

    • 1

yes LeProfessor That's what I'm thinking about the make. France is rly close to me and I've been planning a Paris trip anyway, for some reason I would rather try those bras on before buying!

    • You may want to start looking for shops now that actually carry those sizes. From what I have heard it is REALLY hard to find bras in a 32 band let alone over a D cup. Which I kinda don't understand given that their a so many amazing french bands that create bra for the larger busted. Maison LeJaby Elixir is even offering a 28/75 band these days. But in France, apparently 34-38 A-D is whatcha got and I swear 34B is their most sold size.
Herroom.com offers free returns, but I can't blame you for wanting to try them on first. I keep staring at them longingly on the computer but can't seem to make the leap. Though I dropped 105 USD for a Simon Perele bra that my niece wanted after she tried it on because it just was so amazing. She is my niece and I can't tell you how many birthdays/christmas's I have missed and I'm like the only women left in her life. So the price killed me, but it was worth it for her first real fitting bra.
Good luck and I can't wait to hear about your trip if you get to get around to it!

    • Hm, odd, I had no idea that was the case!

This bra is a 30 band but like many Gossard 30 bands, would fit someone who needs a 28 band better. My snug underbust measurement is exactly 28" and I need a bit of wearing ease for my bras. Therefore, if you normally need a 28 band this is great for you. It is a classically shallow and broad wired bra.

This bra is absolutely huge on me. It is easily two, maybe three cups too big for me. I have some other bras in 42DDD (42E) that fit, but went up a band to see if it would be more comfortable. I should have gone down two to three cups. To get to fill in the cup even the tiniest bit, I had to pull the bra down almost to my waist. As soon as I removed them from the package I knew they wouldn't fit. Also, the coverage seems way more than should be there for a plunge. I think I'm going to try other sizes because this bra has the possibility of being comfortable for me (the gore is much lower than others I've tried and maybe with a smaller cup it will be even shorter).

    - Received in a giveaway and the previous user narrowed the gore by overlapping the wires which is amazing for my close-setness. Such a pretty bra. Subtle silver thread in the cups and rose gold hardware.

    - It definitely runs small in the band and feels more like a 26 which works for me.

    - For me this bra not a match in the cups. They want to sit a little too low (why is this? Is is something to do with construction or how I'm putting it on?) and the tops are not open enough for me. Or maybe the cups are also too small. I'm 26 underbust, 34 leaning bust, even or maybe FOT, tall, close, average/maybe narrow roots. I will pass this along in another giveaway.

    • 1

Are the gore wires off of your breasts near the gore base? It looks wide and center fullness may inhibit the wires sitting further up. Just a theory :-)

    • 2

I'd say the cups are just too small for you. What a shame, it's such a pretty bra.

    • 1

Such a pretty bra! Too bad it didn't work. I agree Love4Pollinators about the gore width possibly being the problem.

How did you find the projection? I've always wanted to try this bra but I wasn't sure if it would have enough immediate project for a FOB shape

    • Love4Pollinators i think i remember that the wires were off my breasts, yeah, but my roots meet (where one ends the next begins immediately), so all gores are too wide :(

Impossibletofit i don't think it asks for serious immediate projection. i feel like if i were to size up, i would not meet the apex projection (but i often have trouble with that area in bras). i do think the cups run a little small overall.

    • Ahhh thanks for the info. It would probably be a shape mismatch for me as well then

    • 1

I tried this bra in 3 different sizes and none fit. The 30DD definitely runs smaller than usual for Gossard. A shame about its fit as the fabric itself is wonderful.

I really, really wanted to love this bra. The Twilight Blue was gorgeous on the website and just as pretty in person. It was on the higher end of what I prefer to pay for bras, and the quality is definitely there, but it just didn't give me the shape I would have liked or the magical cleavage I expected based on the pictures.

I resized myself as a 28G a few months ago, as I have a 27" rib cage, but I'm finding that some of my 28G bras cause too much rubbing against my ribs, leaving them really sore at the end of the day. For ... that reason (and because this bra starts at a 30 band), I decided to try the 30FF. In terms of fit, I have no complaints. Looking at it in the packaging, I thought the cup would be way too big, but once it was actually on, it fit great. After a scoop-and-swoop I have a tiny bit of quadding along the inside edge of the cups, but it goes away once everything settles. The straps didn't feel too wide and they adjusted more than enough for me; the underwire felt comfortably tight, and while the bra did push the girls together, I didn't feel like they squished or flattened them any.

In terms of construction, this really is a lovely bra. It's a 3-section cup, so it's not as firm as my Cleo Maddie Moulded T-shirt Bra (7201) , but it is lined, so it's also not as flimsy-feeling as my Freya Marvel Side Panel Bra (1501). The allover lace didn't feel scratchy against my skin, and it looked pretty durable despite its delicate appearance.

Now, the reason I'm not keeping this bra is because it gives me a pointier shape than I'd like. Not super pointy, but 'natural' pointy. Still, I prefer a more rounded silhouette, so this is a problem for me. The other issue is that I don't actually have much cleavage in most bras, and I was hoping this bra would help out with that, but it didn't actually do too much. It helped a little, but I didn't really get much more than I get with Maddie (which isn't very much). I've seen reviews where people have said that you should go down a cup size if you want the amazing boost shown in some of the pictures, but I feel like there would be too much of an issue with quadding if I did that. I have FOB, self-supporting breasts with average-wide roots, and there's just a bit of separation between them--less than an inch, definitely, but still enough that I usually need to wear a bra with some kind of padding if I want really awesome cleavage. While this bra does have removable padding for smaller cup sizes (according to the website), there is none for larger cup sizes, so you have to depend on the bra's shape itself, and unfortunately for me, that didn't work out.

    • I found Jeanie Parafait Affinatas to give me more cleavage than pretty much any other bra I have. I have a superboost lace too but I did size down in it but not for more cleavage, I found my usual size too big

    • 1

What a coincidence! I tried both Parfait Jeanie and Parfait Casey about a week before this one, and Casey was the better fitting of the two (it was my fault, though, I think I got Jeanie a cup size too large). If I remember correctly, Casey gave me about the same boost as the Superboost did. I didn't bother to reorder Jeanie in the smaller size because I felt that the coverage would still be a little fuller than I prefer, but perhaps the smaller size would have worked better for me for cleavage.

    • I have the Casey too but I did the opposite and ended up with the Casey one cup small instead so I've never worn it as much even though I like the shape.

Lovely summer bra. As I'm only wearing it during summer because of its neon colour. Love the colour. Also, months ago i was huge fan of Gossard bras and I had only them in my wardrobe - but then i discovered Comexim and E Michalak, and have only few Gossards left. Really like the appearance of it, but after few hours, the band start digging into my body leaving red signs (all of the bras are doing it, but with gossard is the most, and sizing up is not best idea, as the bra is too loose). Also, I hate the straps that are so thin, and keep sliding from my shoulders, and tightening is not the best option.
Beside that, I still love this one and Superboost for their superboost effect and the quality of materials that even after 2 years looks really good! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

I was shocked this size fits but it does and I really like it. I can get a tiny quadding towards the inside corner but its not noticable in a shirt and the next cup up was too big. The lace doesn't show under my white tank top either so that is a win! And the back doesn't cause any bulging even though it is so narrow. I like that the straps are also narrow making it easier to wear with more summer options. The first day I wore it I even forgot to take it off in the evening lol. I love that the padding is not thick either and doesn't gap at the top like I typically have happen. The gore is short which also makes the bra more comfortable than many for me.

This bra runs reeeaally small in band and cup.
It's like a 26F-28 E..I think! Haha cups are like what a 30DD/32D or 30D/32C would be on me.
I can get the band on and it feels alright. If it were just the band I could deal with it. The cups constrict my boobs and make them into a downward 7.
Getting ready to list this one. I still love it. If I could swap for a 32E or 30F I totally would.
Would consider 32DD as long as cup depth is around 9"

    • yup, I've been trying to inform everybody in this community that most Gossard bands run tight. In fact, every single gossard I have runs tight except for the Superboost satin plunge. generally most gossard 30 bands stretch out to 29" or 29.5".

    • Saskia That's great that you're trying to get the word out! I took it out of the package and I was like..yep, that's not going to fit well. Haha
Otherwise, in your experience do the cups tend to run small too, or do you think that's just influenced by such small bands?
I'd like to order a new one of these.

    • I find that Gossard cups run true to size.

    • Saskia Ok. Thanks! :)

    • I think there's someone on /r/braswap who's looking for this size!
A good idea is to check measurements and reviews here before buying from new brands. I have the Phoebe as well and I think the downward 7 might have something to do with the seam on top of the cup. I have it in a bigger size than I usually have in Gossard, and it's a bit loose in the cup on my smaller side, but it still cuts in on top and I don't even have that much tissue there.

    • I own and tried on about a dozen 30 band @Gossard bras, but I must say none were/are as tight in the band as the Phoebe. I just treat their 30 band as if it were a 28 - but this is more like a 26 band. The Superboost Lace collection isn't tight at all though - true 30.

    • erispe That's good to know! I was looking at some of their other bras, but was concerned about ordering the incorrect size.

    • erispe I don't think mine is any tighter than the other Gossards I own, it's a 30FF and fits like 28G, but definately not like a 26-band.

    • Staaldrigstill I found 30DD and 30E really tight - extender case, while the 30F was good bandwise. I suppose it doesn't come out consistently through all sizes. And it is a different feel with the narrow, one hook band, I find.

    • erispe that might be the case, as mine has 2 hooks

    • Staaldrigstill While I'm not crazy abut the one hook band, went to compare the 30 Gossard band lenghts and can conclude that the Phoebe 30E is on average 3 cm shorter than most others (DD&E cups) I own and a whole 7cm shorter than the 30DD Superboost Lace 7715 in beige. Given that yours in 30FF is of normal length and I found the 30F OK, I'd say that something went wrong with the sizing at the lower end of the size range. Now I need to get a one hook extender...

  17. Summer Plunge Bra (8841)

    Fits

I am so excited to have FINALLY found a bra that fits me. My breasts are tall rooted and slightly wide, and possibly shallow (FOB) with some immediate projection. Add to that pretty close-set and slightly splayed. Most bras end up being either just a smidge too narrow for me, or far, far too wide. Summer is still bordering on too narrow, but it *just* makes the cut. It's comfortable, it looks great, and amazingly it doesn't gape. I think I can attribute the last point to the fact that the padding gradually increases around the outside bottom of the cup where I tend to have less ... breast tissue. It feels about half an inch thick there, and tapers off toward the center and upper sections of the bra.

My one concern is the single hook 'gate' closure. The bra feels completely stable when I wear it, but I do wonder how long the band's lifespan will be with all the tension being distributed across such a small area. I wish the fabric lining the back of the clasps extended a little farther too- I'm wearing it on the loosest setting, and the edge of the clasp end of the band is only barely shielding my skin from the tip of the last hook. I could feel it poking once or twice over the course of the day, it was a pretty minor nuisance.

Not a fan. I'm not 100% sure what is wrong with it; maybe it's the shape itself. At the top of the cup, on my right breast (slightly larger) it seems slightly too small, on my left breast it seems slightly too little. The band is tight and yet the center gore does not lie flat against my chest.

The weirdest part are the underwires and the shape of the moulded cup. The cups seem too shallow and wide. They are extremely shallow at the bottom, forcing the underwire to sit much lower than what I'm used to. All in all, this bra seems to simply flatten my breasts. ... I suspect I need to go up in band size and down in cup size I'm unsure that this would fix the shallowness problem so I think I will soon be returning this bra.

Furthermore, the moulded cup isn't smooth. I'm not sure if something happened during shipping or whether the material is to blame. I've also fastened the shoulder straps to the shortest length (which is kind of an ok but not too encouraging in the event of stretching with wear)

    Good:
    -Pretty straps
    -Pretty lace
    -Unpadded

    Bad:
-Lining of the cup feel itchy sometimes
-Underwire digs a little at the centre
-Underwire poke the armpit at the left side
    - Nipples not along the seams
    -Seams show through the T-shirt

Tried this in a 30E and cups were too big and band a bit tight so I am trying in a 32DD. Band is good but cups wrinkle a tad. I noticed on the label it says the DD+ cups have the extra sling on the sides and I either don't want them or I'd rather the whole cup be double lined. Since the DD is slightly big I will try a 32D. This bras cups run big to me since I started my journey with 32D bras and all were too small.
