Fit
About me: petite with wide horizontal oval, slightly conical breasts * average projection * wide-set (3 fingers width of space between breasts) * very wide roots (extend past the mid-axillary line) * even horizontal fullness (just barely outer full) * short root height, average vertical placement * mix of firm & soft tissue (front molds to shape of bra, sides push wimpy wires away) * conical shape (but will squish to round) * full on top (2/4 shape, not even or very full) - BUT functionally even to FOB due to short roots and soft tissue * petite (5'3") so have narrow frame * front (anterior) rib flares

I was hoping to have a sexy red padded push up but the cups are a couple sizes too small and it's shallower than I think I'd ever be able to wear. I think it'll be good for short periods when I want some serious cleavage.
The band was very loose - I could have put it on the tightest setting and it still wouldn't have been tight enough. The cups were way larger than expected. I ordered the size predicted by the calculated for me because this was suggested as a brand that makes shallow bras. I could easily go down two cup sizes in this bra.
This bra fits me surprisingly better than the size up: http://bra.pe/XTfX/ Writing this review for when I was a 26FF. Band is super tight, it works excellently as a strapless. This bra gives great cleavage (especially with the straps). While the cups were a little small, without the straps, it was the first strapless bra ever to not cut in at the armpits area with the straps off. This makes it an excellent strapless bra for someone who has tall roots. I received my bra as a giveaway, and while I am eternally grateful, the bra is defective and the right cup curls outwards. Since it is discontinued, I am not able to replace it. Therefore I tried my best to fix the issue with the cup, and it is wearable. I wore this bra for a formal, and the mishap with the cup wasn't noticeable, but you can see it in my photos.
Beautiful bra! The cups are too shallow at the apex for me https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> I imagine one the right person this gives cake on a plate or a rounded shape. I took a risk because it's a cup size smaller than I usually wear but with an open cup and being on the very bottom edge of the depth I normally require and so pretty I wanted to try it. Sad it didn't work out. band felt firm but not a size smaller though I would only recommend it to someone on the small end of 30 or add an extender.
The oversized bow somehow seems right in person and the whole bra looks delicate and petite which is harder to pull off in my size for most companies.
This is one of 3 bras in 30F that are not for me - I bought them for my daughter but since there is very little data on any of them I am adding their measurements to Bratabase.
This bra is moulded and quite thickly padded. The foam is about half a centimeter thick at the top of the cup and about a centimeter and a half thick near to the underwire. It looks really shallow and I don't expect it will fit my daughter. I would guess that most people would have to size up in this style.
I love this bra! The fit is amazing. Sure, the band is too loose on me but everything else about the bra is perfect. Great spacing, great cup depth, strap width, cup width, wire length, etc... I've got high set boobs and this bra does not cause gaping at the top of the cup what so ever. Despite its level of coverage. I know a lot of people say they get major torpedo-boob from this bra but, I don't have that issue. I'm basically equally balanced (equally full on bottom and top), and I get a very natural appearance that I find to be totally acceptable for normal everyday wear. I hope I can find more bras like this one, or that Gossard releases another one like it in the future.
This bra has removable padding. When I wear it with the padding I get quadding. When I take the padding out, there is less quadding. This bra works best if your shape is shallow, broad rooted, and very FOO.
Ive been wearing Gossard Superboost bras for more than a 2 years now. It was the first better fitting brand. The bra gives me a nice cleavage, however if it would have narrower wires the effect would be really WOW! The bra is rather comfy but the wires are the main issue, as they dont hold my breasts properly in my correct size leaving empty space on the sides, while the smaller size causes quadboobs. The colour is so beautiful - I think the best out of all superboosts.
*Feb 2016 Update* I tried this on again, with an extender, and the results are surprisingly much better. I think I also had the wires sitting too low before, so now that I hiked them up to right under my root, I fill the cups a little bit better. The wires are still too wide, and there's a little bit of space not filled in the cups, but I fixed this with cookies. I MIGHT still do some altering to the cups, but if I put push-up pads in the cups, I can use this bra with more loose-fitting clothing when I want my bust to stand out ...more. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" /> I kinda get a bullet boob look with the pads I'm using, but hey, it prevents my tummy from sticking out further than my breasts in sweaters and shirts that have no waist definition, haha! (I'll try to add more pictures when I feel like it.) The wires don't dig into my sides with an extender, so comfort is a plus too.
First impression of this bra: Wow. WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW. This bra is STUNNING. It's light pink shade, rose gold colored hardware (when have you seen that color in bras before?!), and gold thread embroidery on the cups makes this one of the most gorgeous bras I have ever seen. My photos don't do it justice! Alas, we must face reality... This bra *technically* doesn't fit me.
The cups are too deep. The only reason why it looks like it mostly fits is because the wires are actually more flexible than the back half of the band (??? huh? When has a bra ever been made with elastic stronger than the wires??) so the wires are stretched WAY beyond my roots. If I had rock-hard breasts, I could probably manage to fill the cups and stretch the band, but it would probably squash me and hurt. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" /> I have added a photo showing that the wires are approximately the same as the Ritzy bra, but the wires are MUCH more flexible. I held the bra up to my breast with the wire in a more realistic place around the root, and you can definitely see that the cup has a lot of wrinkles and empty fabric. Other signs the cups are too big: pointy appearance at apex, serious east-westing because my breasts can just do what they want inside the cups.
This band is INSANELY inflexible. My max stretch of 29" was warping the wires. If you're a very low 28, or a 26, this is perfect because the band is really really firm. I honestly wish I knew how to stretch out the band already so that it has more flex. I wouldn't want to replace the wires with more stiff ones because the firmness of the band was already pulling the wires into my tissue at both the center front and sides. After only about 5 minutes of wear, I had really bright red divots in my skin on my sternum! I plan on trying this bra again tomorrow with an extender to see if the pain at my sternum and sides go away.
To address the cup depth issue, luckily this bra doesn't have any thick foam going on, so I can hopefully just sew the seams in a little bit. I have a lot of sewing experience, and I hope to take some techniques from the tutorial "How to make a pointy bra rounder" by Bras I Hate & Love to make the cups more shallow. http://brasihate.blogspot.com/2012/08/how-to-make-pointy-bra-round.html
I absolutely love the look of this bra, and would rather alter it and rip the tag right off than give it away. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> But I'll definitely pin it in place first and see if I waffle, but I reallyreallyreallyREALLYreallyreally want to keep this bra! Ahhhh this color is perfect on your skin too!! This really is beautiful, one of the prettiest bras I ever met. I can tell you it looks 1000x better on you than it did on me, so I so hope you can make it workable for you.
The bra is very pretty! Sorry it wasn't the best fit, but it is really lovely.
Aww thank you :) I really hope I can come up with a solution!
So my bra is settling down finally. :) Have you tried it with an extender?
erispe I did try it with an extender, which solved the stabbing into sternum issue, but the the band was definitely too loose and the straps dragged it up my back. :P But since the wires are so flexible, I am able to bend them to any shape so I'm experimenting to see how I to best bend them to take pressure off the largest pressure points. :)
This is such a beautiful bra, but a tricky fit. I hope you can hack it to work.
Long time ago I used to have this bra in 34B (yup..). It was obviously too loose in the band but the cup volume was good at the beginning. Ive decided to sell it stared to give me quadboobs. The bra actually runs bigger in the cups. As following sister sizes, 34B-32C-30D was too small, so instead of going for 30DD/32D Ive tried with 30F... I just forgot that Gossard is using DD system (yeah, too many polish bras recently!). The bra obviously is 2 cups too large on me, but also has quite tight band - where usually I can manage to wear 65 with only 1 set of extra eyes, in this full extender is needed or maybe even more - and thats actually good news for girls in need for tighter bands.
Got this in a swap. It's lovely, straps are padded so very comfortable, great quality, straps can be converted to crossover at the back. There's just too much cup for me. Cups are too deep and too long for me, digs in where the cup meets the strap. Would suit an 8E I think.
I really want this bra to fit. It's very pretty and interesting but I don't have enough upper fullness. Also the straps feel slightly too wide and dug a bit into my armpits. The band is very snug. Beautiful bra, but sadly does not fit me.
I had it .. And returned it as also had too much fabric on the top:( such a lovely bra. But! The padded version is better and looks stunning. Although, also returned as I had 32C and needed 32d at least and to find it now in good price is a challenge so only thongs stayed with me
My shape: slightly shallow teardrop/FOB with super wide/tall roots and very close-set tissue in the middle

The Search for a Strapless Bra, Part II: Electric Boogaloo
First of all, I would like to say that this bra is much prettier than I was expecting. The nude fabric actually shimmers! It's quite light, though; I got it to replace my 30FF - Panache ยป Porcelain Moulded Strapless (3370) , which is a bit paler with a tinge of pink and probably matches my skintone better, but even with the yellower undertone this comes pretty damn close. It's also super lightweight, which I was ...not expecting, but it is a pleasant surprise. I was also not expecting a longline, but at 5 hooks (5!) I don't know what else to call it. I have been looking for a super-plunge longline strapless for YEARS, and I am so glad to have found it by accident!
It definitely runs tight. If you are between sizes, you might want to size up (at least in the smaller bands; not sure how the model scales). With the Panache Porcelain I noticed it migrating a bit over the course of an evening, but nothing out of the ordinary. I had hoped that with a "tighter" 30 I might alleviate the problem altogether, but it's so tight it's literally squeezing itself down off my ribcage.
I do think my rather firm breast tissue is probably not helping much, too, especially because of the ENORMOUS non-removable pushup pads in the cups. Ego boost? They weren't kidding! My boobies do not like to be pushed around and usually push back, and in this case they team up with the too-tight band and push the bra almost down to my waist. I think an extender is in order!
I would like to thank whoever said to size up in the cup, because they were also very right. I may do better with a 30GG, but since that cup size would require sizing up and I WANT a tight band, I'm not sure I'm willing to exchange.
Also, the straps are SUPER LONG. They are padded for comfort, which I like, but it makes them very difficult to adjust. Definitely check length BEFORE you get the bra all the way on, because they are a huge pain to move when wearing.
The cups are set at a much better angle for me than the Panache, though, and they don't cut in on top much when the bra sits in its proper place. They are definitely much taller and a little shallower and more vertical on top, which is lovely! (I think I will always have a bit of the false quad-boob with anything strapless, though, on account of how high my roots go. My mom and sister also have this problem.) Plus, aside from how much distortion there is from the pushup pads, I think there might actually be the right amount of bottom projection for me.
I am quite pleased with my investment. I really hope the extender works! Definitely going to record the results.
Update: The extender works nicely, and I only need about one set of hook's worth of breathing room. Of course, as soon as I washed the bra, I misplaced the extender, and I have to find it before I can wear it again... Read more 448 more words
I've owned this bra for years, and never worn it. It seems the reason it never fit me properly was because the band is ridiculously tight, and back when I bought it, I didn't realize it, so I thought it was just too uncomfortable in the front.
Today I decided to try it on with an extender, and surprise! It fits me better than anything else I've tried, except now that my boobs are bigger it's too shallow (and obviously way too tight in the band). I've been trying all of these bras that have wide wires, but it seems that I need a narrower wire. It also has a low and wide gore, which I seem unable to find in anything.
I really wish I could wear it, but it slips down from my IMF a minute after I swoop and scoop. It's really pretty, sheer but not too sheer, and gives a pretty natural shape (mine is a bit weird because I'm getting cut off at the top).
This is a gorgeous bra, really. And I'm sad it doesn't work for me. The cups are the shortest I've ever met, so fantastic for short roots. It fits my smaller side fine, but cuts in on my larger side just enough that it's not justifiable to keep it.
This bra is so beautiful. It is surprisingly very hard to find any info on. I snagged this on, as usual, eBay. It is satin, maybe even silk. The lace is so luxurious. Lightly padded cups give great support. But sadly too shallow for me which is surprising as I'm typically really shallow, maybe and shape issue or might need a size larger? Very snug band, fits like a 30DD.
The bra feels like it was made for me. I have even fullness/full on top (depending on that time of the month). Very wide, pointy, conical shape. Close set breast when supported, but very spread apart when not.
I thought this size would work as the 32dd was too big, but it seems I'm between 2 cup sizes, the 32d is definitely too small. The quality is excellent and the colour is a perfect nude for me, but unfortunately I'll have to give up this cut.
I have a similar issue with its balcony sister in 30DD http://bra.pe/GCjG/. Looks like Gossard made these cups smaller, while the size above is too big for me too.
Me: avg projection, even fullness, wide-rooted, wide-set
So, this bra is something... else. The cups are definitely too small. Breast tissue escapes out the sides and there's quadboobing on top. I'm constantly having to readjust and scoop my boobs back in. When they do stay, I have to admit the effect is... pretty obvious cleavage. Date-night cleavage. Which is a plus, I guess. It just makes this bra a bit impractical.
Another thing, the band on this bra, while very cute, is super thin and dainty. I feel like I'm going to break it just by getting it clasped... I don't see how that can be even remotely supportive. And it's not.
Beautiful bra, no support, amazing cleavage, barely-there band, cool design. For every pro there is a big con.
Ahhhh this color is perfect on your skin too!! This really is beautiful, one of the prettiest bras I ever met. I can tell you it looks 1000x better on you than it did on me, so I so hope you can make it workable for you.
