I get this gore thing quite often...pushed away, sitting on diagonal. For me it is certainly not a gore width issue (I got 2 fingers between my girls), it's a cup depth issue. When I bend my KL wires into a deeper U shape, so that there's more space up front in the cup (and less side to side) it goes away and I get a nice tack.
Ohh. Could be. My biggest issue was this band was too tight. It was a weird fit for me.
Bummer :( did adjusting the cups work? How does it fare with an extender?
I really want to try KL again..but I'm iffy about non-stretch lace upper cups..my Brilliant (I think that was the name of the model) .. was an odd fit
*Sorry that should have been adjusting the cup wires (bending them as AprilGoulding mentioned)
Frazzleberry I never really bent them as I was borrowing the bra from MamaPagan and I didn't want to incur damage to it haha. I also can't speak for the extender part as I didn't have the bra for very long. It was uncomfortable too.
Maybe give Kris Line another try. Their newer models look improved, but again, I can't say from experience haha
Ooh completely understandable.
That's true, and they have more options.
I have several and the fit is very slightly different on each, but I mean very slightly. The thing i notice most is that some of the wires are more J shaped upon arrival but I know I have to bend them anyway, so I just proceed to do so. They all fit once I do that. All of them! I have mostly old styles...I am waiting for the spring release of the pink one. I love pink :) I will also try more semi padded when they come out in my 65G size. I have a corset in 70FF with semi padded cups and I LOVE the fit of those cups but i know with just a bra a 70 band is too big. Brilliant is on the way. I read that the fit is different. I'll review it when it comes...
Pink is very pretty.
I'll be looking forward to that review ☺️ it would be interesting to compare notes
Actually, the wires were already bent which was why your width was 5.4” vs my original 7.5” haha. The 7.5” was way too wide so I bent them to be able to wear it. But remember, if the band is too small for you, you are pulling those narrow wires wider than they should be which results in the same wire twist. No amount of bending would make the band longer to stop this. An extender would have possibly worked for you, but it more likely would have made the straps in the back too wide set and in turn would have become a shoulder and placement issue instead. Those dreaded domino effects……😖
Bending the wires will only work if the band has some flexibility (ie a bit too big) to allow the bent (narrowed) wires to not be wishboned by the band tension when on. When bending the wires narrower, it makes the band slightly smaller, so that needs to be factored in as well.
I’ve tried 8 KrisLine bras, 3 soft, 2 semi-soft, 2 molded, and a padded. (Thank you to MagdaBras4you when I started my current bra journey!) They all fit differently as they were different styles. I feel it is worth you trying some more in a few styles & sizes to get a better idea of your fit needs. If you know the wires are going to be too wide, consider sizing up in the band to counterbalance the need of bending the wires narrow.
MamaPagan I love it when we can have multiple causes for the same problems. I have a little extra space in KL 65 bands...i could go to the second hook. And I did notice that agter bending the wires I didn't need to anymore, but was just so excited to get a tack that it never dawned on me that my wire surgery was also band surgery.
AprilGoulding Indeed! That's what makes our brainstorming so wonderful. By working through all the details we can figure it all out together. We are always learning. 💕 It's a beautiful thing.
Can I ask how you bent the wires? How do you prevent them from moving back?
As long as the wires are firm enough (didn't work with Comexim wires which act like plastic) you can bend them fairly easily. Just cup the curve and gently manipulate them inward. It can make them almost point inward at the top but when on they don't point that way. This also works to bend them with the curve of the body, so a narrower body hugging U. I am doing a horrible job putting this process into words.....sorry.
That helps, I'll have to see if I can bend them in my Perla. The wires feel softer than normal BM wires though.
My latest Comexims were like that. I swear they are plastic, bend them and they flexed right back. Not like the normal Comexim wires.
This is a moulded cup bra with floral printed satin cups and stunningly beautiful embroidered lace on the cradle and straps.
The colour is true fuschia.
The straps are detachable abd therefore, multiway.
Band is a true 65. Measures 65 unstretched.
I would say that it has above average projection all the way around the wire, but for me, it just isn't enough, so despite being too large in the cup, it doesn't tack.
Being a plunge, it has a lower gore with z very pretty satin rosette decoration. This usca nice change from the standard bow.
This is a GREAT bra for someone with softer breast tissue.
What a pretty color! When the top edge sticks straight up like that but you can't even get close to tacking, I would say that is a case of a bra that is too shallow and too small--not actually too big, since the depth is very insufficient for you. At less than 9" deep and 6" wide it is a very shallow cup design indeed, so to get sufficient depth in this bad boy you would need to size up to a cup so tall it would be poking you in the chin ;-)
wendybien i love your comments. They help me understand so much!! Yes, this bra is gorgeous...and now i know what shape it is meant for 🙏
In fact, the color is even nicer. Unfortunately, it turned out to be not matching but now you know more about KL's and you know what styles suit you better. Thank you.
AprilGoulding aw thank you, that's music to my compulsively-advice-giving ears :-D MagdaBras4you yes, all of these satin-effect prints by Kris Line are so beautiful in person, I really love how they look. This style is a fantastic cleavage/evening wear option for people with a shallower breast shape. It is much prettier than the similar options in super-pushup/padded styles available at a comparable price point in the USA.
This is the second Krisline set that I ordered from Jagna. When I found the cherry blossom Silcilia set that I wanted so badly for so long, I bought a second set to justify the shipping cost lol
Valerie is a beautiful aqua bra with aqua and metallic sky blue embroidery. The details on this bra are gorgeous...just like with the other one, even the straps have embroidery.
When the 65G Silcilia fit, I was surprised that I needed to size up in this style. The cups just aren't as deep. In the 65G Valerie, the gore was more than a finger width away from tacking and I could ...feel my breasts pushing the wires down into my ribs. Ouch. No thanks.
When I put on the 65GG this problem was eliminated. The cups still lack a little depth...I don't get a tack in this size either, but it's close and there's no pain.
The band on the 65GG feels looser than the 65G...but that could just be in my head, since I know it's a bigger bra? I'll measure later.
2 hooks. 4 rows. Side boning. Partially adjustable straps.
The embroideries are beautiful. But...this bra does not match its online photo. In the online photo, the embroidery pattern matches the lace on the panties. I'm not surprised though, because when googling, you'll find 2 versions of the aqua Valerie bra. The colour match of the knitwear is identical though.
The panties for this set only came in Small. It's a stringo-szorty and I'm certain that this is the size and cut I'll order for KL panties from now on. They're equivalent to EM xs (34/6).
I have a 65G that I can sell if anyone wants. I'll list it tomorrow. Read more 180 more words
That blue is gorgeous 😍 what's your review for your Kris Line? Is it a similar fit to your Ewa's? Wire width wider? Material quality? I have so many questions! :D
DerangedDragons19 the wires are wider. Not crazy like UK brands though. The materials are crazy good. On par with Ewa for sure. The bands are less firm than SOME of my Ewas but not all. The panties are insanely nice also and panties are very important for me. I find Ewas are grandma cut in briefs and she doesn't do Brazilians. P.S. I wear 65G in EM and I'm clearly around there in KL as well. I have another style coming from Magda, so I may get a better gauge then...to know which one is the outlier - the Sicilia or Valerie.
AprilGoulding Hm. I don't think the wire width would be too much of an issue for me. I'm kinda used to one thing or another causing initial pain that kinda subsides after a while. It's a little sad, but it's also the inevitable truth. (Sidenote: I'm hoping that sizing up is going to help with my issues) Oh good! I was honestly a little concerned how the materials might feel in comparison, especially how some of the bras have intricate patterns on them. Hm. Ewa bands are hit and miss. I'm not sure what to believe is an outlier anymore. My 65 bands all measured weird. As long as they fit, it's cool with me 😂 Ugh true! I love the matching sets! They just make you feel so much prettier (is that just a me thing?) I agree a little bit with your assessment of Ewa's briefs. Some of them just sit weird. Others (very rarely) sit like a Brazilian brief. I'm not huge on thongs, so that's a no go for me :( Ooh good! I'm very curious! I have one KL in a 65L coming, and I'm pretty excited about it too!
DerangedDragons19 Ewa's high waisted panties don't fit me right either, heh. Not sure what you tried.
Sovavosi I normally get the briefs. I've never tried the high waisted panties myself. Been curious, but.. this mom bod has an ample amount of leftover skin from my pregnancies haha. I'm afraid it would just look weird
This colour is amazing. I love love love the aqua. This is perfect for spring!
Yes, rachaelll I plan to buy colours from Krisline that EM just won't carry...aqua, mint, peach, yellow, lilac, etc. I'm also going to try their semi padded Afrodita soon. It comes in 65 band ;) I get sick of lace and embroideries are a nice change. Not to mention the panties. Their panties are utter perfection.
I'm scared of high waisted panties. Between mom bod issues and having a waist that is in line with my upper torso and hips, my side is basically a straight line. I think I would end up with a lot of cutting in at the waist. So I go for low waisted bottoms. I do love having coordinating panties!
I still have to try the low waisted and thong panty style from Ewa, haha.
I love the colour too. I’m contemplating on the Comexim Pearl Flower Mint when I order. I have a 65G S Mojito coming to me (technically it’s delivered, but to my friend in LA, and I don’t arrive in LA until late on the 13th). I’m excited about the colour but quite nervous about the fit.
Calluna you found a Mojito?? Where did you find that treasure? I'd give an arm...
Girl in a FB group. She’s pregnant and she’s probably not going to fit them (I have an orchezowa pralinka? also coming) so I got them for a good deal.
(This bra doesn't fit, it was too big and probably the wrong shape. I did have some spilling at the top of the bigger breast, but there was also some amount of empty space at the [is it the apex?], which is more noticeable on the smaller one. Just adding in the measurements) --EDIT-- So looking back at the bra, the empty space here was more were the lower half of the bra joined the mesh portion, I think it has more to do with the stitching than true empty space. It could also be that I've grown since first trying on this bra --END EDIT--
In ...measuring cup depth & cup height, both the minimum and maximum cup depth was measured. To measure the minimum cup depth the bra was hovered between the knees at the tape measure left to hang. The recorded measurement was 14.25 inches. To record the maximum cup depth the cup was stretched over the knee, to the maximum resistance. The recorded measurement was 15 inches.
I had entered in the maximum recorded measurements in the table.
The same was done for the cup height, in which the minimum measurement was 9.75 and the maximum recorded was 10.5 (probably just a little less than that but I wasn't sure how to write the decimal for that)
One other thing to note (I'm somewhere at a 29 inch back). I did find the band to be very stretchy and would've liked it to be a little firmer. Read more 141 more words
Thank you for the informational review! I do these often as well, and find them extra helpful in addition to the measurements to fill in all the pieces to the measurement puzzle.
MamaPagan no problem. I had it lying around (I don't really wear it much due to the fit) and I had some time today so I put it in. I was going to add pictures showing the fit but I couldn't capture the right angle using one hand to take the pictures.
It's so difficult to do, isn't it? Front and Profile photos can be soooooo misleading too! Thank you again for adding it, and the measurements too!
No problem ;)
The unstretched band length also looks very large for a 65/30! I have many 70/32s that are smaller both stretched and unstretched... Do you think it got bigger during wear (or when tried on) and just stayed that way? Or was it just as bad when purchased?
wendybien I know right?? Maybe I just got an off model because, I really haven't it worn it much and the first thing I noticed when I was hooking it up at the back -the very first time-was that, I had it on the tightest hook and could've had it done up tighter (and this is me being used to 30 bands)
Frazzleberry did you purchase it from Zulily? I remember the first Kris Line I got from there--sizing was VERY off. The cup was at least an inch deeper and a solid 2" taller than expected. And it was a 70 band with a normalish unstretched length of 25" but it only stretched to 29" when I pulled with all my might! It had to be mislabeled or else affected by a weird QC error, eg wrong type of band material(s) used by accident / forgot to elasticate a segment of the band altogether.
wendybien I got that one from eBay, maybe they got it from the same batch?
This is one of the few bras Kris Line makes in a 28 band and in a cup above a K. In fact, it’s the only one I’ve been able to find!
Betty is an unlined white lace bra. There are 3 parts to the cup, and the band has 3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops. The band measures 24” and stretches to 30” making it functionally a 30 band instead of a true 28 band. The cup depth measures from a 13” (as measured hovered between the knees with the tape measure placed into the cups without any resistance) to a max of 15” stretched over the ...knee, while the height is 10.5” and width is 7.5” which is quite wide for a Polish brand bra. The gore is 3.5” tall and .5” wide, and the wing is 5”.
While this bra is nice and beautiful, it was too big in the band for support and too wide in the cup for comfort for me. If this one came with smaller wires, I would love it! To compare, the volume of the cups would equate to Ewa’s BM 60K-KK depending on the style, or SF and SM 60KK, but with wider wires.
I purchased this one, as with all the KrisLine bras I’ve gotten in the past, from Magda at Bras4You.com. If you are not familiar with her site, it a wonderful place where you can find all things Polish and at great prices. Madga provides prompt shipping, excellent customer service, and if you are looking for something she doesn’t have listed, just ask and if she can get it for you she will! Plus, with every order of 2 or more bras, she sends a pair of random panties for free! I have been able to place custom orders with her for Gaia tanktops & panties, as well as a Kinga bra in a size Kinga didn’t have listed for that bra! She has always gone above and beyond for her customers, and I think that is awesome. ☺
1/2019 update- I pulled this one out of storage to test the current fit and it feels fine now. I did bend the wires to be narrower which helped with the fit so I'm happy with it! As this cup still fits now, I would equate the cups more to the 60KK/L BM/SF range. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" /> Read more 293 more words
Note: please keep in mind I have no idea how to measure wireless bras so these measurements might be a bit off.
This is the best wireless bra I have ever tried on. I am not kidding. It has amazing lift (for a wireless), it looks great, it is extremely comfortable. Unfortunately, it is just too small in the cups for me. Which is fine, because I'm thinking I will just exchange it for a cup or two up and it actually might fit great!
The center panel that is supposed to serve for cup separation is very tight, and I think, in the right size it would do a great ...job of keeping the girls apart. Unfortunately, in the size I got it, it does not do that because there is just not enough space in the cups, so I get buttcrack cleavage extreme.
The band fits great, if a little loose, but nothing I can't deal with. I think for lounge bra I don't really need the tight band.
The cups are so good though! They have great lift and are sturdy. The top is lined with (non stretchy) lace and it gives a very nice look. When ordering this though, 2 cups up is not enough. I'd say 3 (if shallow) or 4+ (if projected) cups would be optimal.
Overall, if I could get the size right in this bra it would 100% be my go to for lounge and sleep. Read more 130 more words
Oooh! I am intrigued! A cute lounge bra that is comfortable!!!
It's very very comfortable!
LOVE that design too. Not one that I have seen yet for a wireless.
I know right! It is such an obvious solution to an annoying wireless bra issue (no cup separation) but this is the first bra like this that I ever saw!
Thank you fir buying this one! I was very curious about it,but it's not available in my size. It sounds like a dream though! Hope sizing up in the cup fits!! :-)
I am thinking of sizing up to HH but I'm unsure...
With a wireless, I wouldn't know what to suggest. The wireless ones I tried were also too small, which was surprising as I assumed without wires the cups would be/feel more spacious and inturn you could even size down and get a good fit.....I was wrong wrong wrong. It is a lovely bra. I wish it came in my size!
It barely comes in my size too at this rate. Magda messaged back saying it's only 3 cups up from this... H, HH and I
But at least to may work at a larger size, which is nice. (I am so jealous!) And Magda! Don't you just love her? She is awesome!!
Yes I do! Very helpful. She suggested HH or even an I lol! I think I'm gonna go with I and hope for the best.
This is another new favorite (thank you Mandapandarawks for sending it to me!). It's a beautiful bra and they put extra effort into the detailing. It's a padded half cup with a flowered pattern. The top edge of the lace matches the color of the lower cup. There's also pretty detailing on the straps. For a padded cup, it has a lot of depth at the wire. The top lace has a strip of elastic to make it more accommodating for all shapes. The band is extra stretchy, to the point of sizing down, but I don't mind a little looser of a band. Also, I love the low, narrow gore!

This bra has a very weird fit, I can't even tell which breast shape it might fit. The 65 band feels like Cleo or Freya's 32. The elastics are very soft and at this size, the bra has 3 sets of hooks. The gore does not stay flat on my sternum, and the fabric on either sides of the gore wrinkes. It might lack center projection. The cups don't fit, the left one is very big, but hte right is a tad small. I know I have asymetric breast, but it's the first time that I see such a big difference in the fit of each cup. The straps are comfortable but wide-set, which may bother women with narrow shoulders.
I found Brilliant a bit odd and hard to describe as well.
Too bad the fit didn't work out for you, it's really pretty.
The color is beautiful with your skin tone. Lovely! We SO need to pressure manufacturers to make bras for close-set, center-full breasts. Sigh.
That's how CK Bardot fits me. Too closed on top, not enough center room, so it's too tall on the side and gapes and pushes the gore out in the center. I have a fit request about it and no one could figure it out until I did myself. When I shortened the gore it fit perfectly.
I can't say I'd purchase this bra a second time, but with a few alterations it's the most wearable of the Kris Line's I've tried. I removed the elastic along the top edge of the cups, and narrowed the gore to the point where I opened up the wire channels and sewed the wires themselves together for the top inch or so of the gore. Now I'm pretty happy with the fit, though my amateurish alterations did take away a bit from the elegant look of the bra! Oh and I removed the little bow and gold piece that were attached to the gore when I did the alterations and never tried to put it back on. I don't know that I have room for it anyway.
White colorway
This bra's measurements have been altered
Altered band,
narrowed gore, removed elastic from top edge of cup
Me: Narrow roots, narrow shoulders, evenly round, lots of immediate projection, very soft tissue, slightly FoB, slightly centre full, splayed, never met a gore I didn't like, left-heavey by more than a cup size, 31" underbust, but prefer tight band with extender. Panache, Freya size 30GG
Nicely narrow and projected. Said to equate to a UK 30H, but if feels more like the 30HH and it is at least a cup size too big, but I think if I cupped down, it wouldn't have enough immediate projection. I may have enough room on the top edge for a dart. It has a thick elastic ...top edge and would definitely dig on FoT!
Wings are a little short for my preference, but nicely boned. Three hooks, four rows. Thick, scalloped straps. The straps have embroidery for the first fifteen cm, but I think it would be easily removed. Split band sewn at the centre gore. No-stretch mesh cups lined on the bottom and satin-like frame, but stretch fabric like Empreinte on back of band.
I will have to play with the fit, but I don't think it will work
Edit: I took some of the appex projection out at the diagonal seam and it seems to work better. Still didn't suit. I removed the alteration Read more 120 more words
Still not quite right. Straps are too wide, I think I need a 28 band but I don't believe they come that small, and the cups fit on the bottom but are a tiny bit big on top. Then you look to the side and oh boy, I don't even know what's going on. It like they're just floating, it's just not a look I'm going for. I got it on eBay so I don't plan on trying to send it back. I thought I was on the right track with Kris line but maybe just not this one.
queeniebrooke at least you tried KL. Have you ever tried ordering directly from Comexim? I see you have wellfitting, but I can't justify paying that much for just the bra (I'm a set kinda girl). I don't know if you comfortable with it but I think it could help since you can pretty much request anything.
Kris Line is quite a different shape...some call it "torpedo" as everything is pushed forward. I get a similar shape as well. Either you like it or don't. It suits certain clothes well but if you prefer more rounded this style won't do it.
MissAponii Custom ordering from comexim might be my next step. I think they tend to be less expensive than the wellfitting line.
roxannelovesbras I have a padded Kris line that isn't as torpedo like, I'm bummed it's not a goof fit.
queeniebrooke yes by a long shot, the trade off is time. I believe they have advanced their English understanding, but I always submit it in full polish and English using Google translate. I always reverse translate the polish to make sure it conveys the right message.
I've tried the brilliant and got a weird fit too. Same with the semi-soft models. I'm not sure what shape you are but I'm even to slightly FOT and got a much better fit with the Fortuna and Stella soft.
Holy shape mismatch, Batman! I want to love this bra because it reminds me so, so much of a softcup Ewa Michalak Pl Violet (165) in terms of color, but the shape is all wrong for my breasts-- not projected enough, which pushes the cups down enough that I quad slightly in it. It's a shame, and I may keep it anyway because *violet soft bra*, but it doesn't do much except make them pointy-- not just in the vintage, bullet bra way (it kind of does that too), but in the "my boobs exist in a space on my chest that is about three inches ...tall" way. It's not noticeable under my work uniform, so I wear it anyway, but I wouldn't wear it under a more fitted outfit.
Onto the bra itself:
The cups are made up of a double-layered mesh bottom, with delicate leaf-like stitching in the same shade. The cup upper is a single layer of non-stretch lace. Off of my body, the cups look far more projected than they actually are-- damn you, Kris Line, and your deceptive but beautiful bra!
The band is about an inch of what appears to be the same non-stretch lace as the upper cup over the same mesh as the inside bottom cup, side boning, and then the rest is nylon in the same shade as the rest of the bra. The hooks are a slightly lighter shade, halfway between the shade of the bra and a pure white.
All in all, it's a beautiful bra and I may keep it to see if it fits better when I've lost more weight, but for right now it's definitely not a bra that fits well. Read more 176 more words
You are so right, it is a lovely bra and very pretty. I love the detailing on it. I too have a few bras that are pretty and look lovely on but dont fit me but i cann't bring myself to get rid of them.So i hang on to them hoping i loose a bit of weight so i fit into them. I wish you the best of luck.
This bra is my favorite of any KL I've ever tried. With cookies in, the seam ridge isn't very visible and the shape is fairly round. The greyish powder pink color is SO PRETTY and the lace on top has silver running thru it. The band is a little loose/stretchy, for reference I usually wear a 32 in panache and 30 in freya. I am ASTOUNDED by how comfortable it is--nothing rubbing or digging in, just feels like my boobs are defying gravity! They even didn't bounce at all when I ran up the stairs!
I really feel like I could put an eye out in this bra. The way it's designed, all the projection is at the apex and the top is very closed, creating a very pointed shape. Unfortunately, my apex is slightly lower than that of the bra, creating a ridge at the seam between the padded and unpadded parts of the bra. Putting a cookie in makes this ridge mostly go away, but then i quad slightly out of the very closed top.
The band is very stretchy and i need to fasten it on the last hooks right away.
The bra itself is very beautiful. The fabric ...and print are very nice and i appreciate that it has cookie pockets and 4 rows of hooks. I just wish it looked round like it does on their models. If i were doing a retro or pinup look i might put this bra under it, but that's not my style, and with my clothing i think it looks awkward and a bit unnatural (which is funny because my boobs are actually very conical).
I just think I'd be uncomfortable walking around with these torpedos on my chest. For someone FOB with average roots who's between a 32 and 34 band and likes a pointier look, i think this might be the perfect bra, but it's just not for me. Read more 121 more words
I couldn't help but laugh when I put it on. The thing is I LOVE Kris Line panties, and their bras are so pretty, I just wish they didn't make my boobs look triangular!
Kris Line ought to rethink their semi-soft concept - I just can't imagine a lot of people would be into the torpedo look. Ava lingerie also makes semi-soft styles that give a lovely rounded shape, so it's not the semi-soft-ness that makes their bras triangular.
I bought a Kris line but have yet to wear it. From the front, in a tee shirt it helps to give me a waist as it pushes everything into the middle but from the side I get torpedo too. Impulse purchase for me and now it sits in my drawer. It is beautiful otherwise.
I've had similar results with the Kris Lines I bought. I've often wondered if going down a size would help. I think it would probably require me to cut the elastic out of the top of the cup but it would be worth it if I could get a round shape.
Laylee I wondered if I should go down a cup too after seeing the pics and seeing how empty the top is without a cookie. But I'm also worried I would quad out the top, idk.
If its returnable, I think it might be worth a try. Like I said, you may just have to remove the elastic to prevent quadding. I was planning on getting a size down from Amazon so I could return it if it didn't work but their prices skyrocketed to about $90. I don't know of another store to try that accepts returns.
I got it from brastop, which does accept returns... I'll have to see if they have a 65FF in stock cuz it was on clearance.
The Brilliant is probably one of the better designed bras which I've seen in this size range. It has a 3 part cup (two sections with a vertical seam between them and one running diagonally across the top), fully adjustable straps, and fastens with 4 rows of 3 columns of hooks. It's also clearly been designed with large, heavy breasts in mind, as it has very wide, sturdy straps with an embroidered design on top to stop them from slipping, and two layers of powernet for the rear portion of the bra.
The wires are the narrowest I've encountered in this size range, and basically spot-on for me in ...width. It's very comfortable having wires which are actually primarily on the front of my torso, where my breasts are, and not wrapped around my armpits, or encroaching on my back. There's also an additional vertical 'wire' (usually these are actually plastic boning from my experience with bras) on the wing which adds to the band stability.
I've got the black colourway (from another Bratabaser), and I'm not sure if it's the issue where black bras often are a bit firmer than their lighter coloured counterparts, a manufacturing error, or some other issue, but this bra is considerably firmer than I would expect. This isn't inherently a con for me, as while I've resigned myself to having to sister size up in most styles to get a good cup volume, I really need the equivalent of a UK 28 band in most styles. I'll probably take the band in if I decide to hang onto it, as it's still a little on the loose side for me, even on the firmest hooks (I prefer a fairly firm band as I feel that it anchors my breasts in place better).
As a personal thing, I don't like black bras much. Still, the bra looks light and delicate, which is an impressive feat for something which also seems to have such impressive support at a large size, and there's a good balance of lace for aesthetics without becoming so textured that the bra will leave a lumpy profile under a shirt. I think I'd really enjoy wearing this style in a different colourway.
I've found that the lower section of the bra is too tall, meaning that the apex of the bra is too far up for my comparatively short-rooted breasts. This makes the shape a bit awkward. The upper section of the bra is fairly closed off, meaning that this bra cut would probably work better on breast shapes which are fuller on the bottom, or fuller on top shapes may find they need to size up to avoid cutting in. The bra cuts in on the top of my breasts, especially after wear, and I think I could do with a larger cup size if there was one made.
It's a bit difficult to gauge an equivalent in UK sizing, but at a guess, I think this bra may be similar to a 32KK or 30L. It's very narrow and deep though, so it may fit women who are on the upper end of this size range as you don't have as much wasted space from overly wide wires. I'd say that Kris Line is well worth a go, even with the slightly higher price point than other brands, as the design and quality are both excellent!
I would like to add that the Consuela (in ecru, which is a sort of white) is a LOT less firm and quite a bit softer than this one. This also means there's a bit more room in the cups. I suppose this means that Black is a poor color choice for trying new bras.
I meant to indicate that list bit of information to myself! Also, the Consuela is almost exactly like the Brillant I meant to add.
The black thing isn't a 100% consistent issue, I guess it's why having resources like Bratabase can be so useful so people can comment on it.
I do wonder why companies don't seem to consider the nature of their fabrics more carefully when making different colourways. The worst offender I think is Ewa Michalak (you shouldn't be getting 10cm variance in stretched length in the same band size), but it's a consistent issue. The application of some relatively simple mathematics would mean that you could create a far more consistent size across colourways.
Oh the velvet! I love the color scheme of this. I feel like a grown woman!
Im okay with the shape and would wear this as an everyday bra. I feel as if the half padded, semi soft is a little weird. If you are fill on top I would see it cutting in as it is tighter on the edge than on the other soft parts, and if you were full on bottom I could see it kind suctioning to the top weirdly... IDK.
I would be willing to try another Kris Line, but padded fully or soft.
Sad face though, my little tassel in the middle is going to need to be repaired soon. The panties and bra are fairly stretchy.
So pretty and comfortable. Unlike some of the UK brands I've tried (I'm looking at you, Cleo), the fabric is really soft, not starched. The lace upper isn't stretchy lace like the Cleo lace, either, but that works because the shape of the cups accommodates my projection a lot better. I'm hoping that the lace not being stretchy might mean it will last longer, because it certainly wasn't inexpensive.
One thing to be aware of is that the bras are wildly inconsistently sized. When I was trying them on at the store, I would try one on that had a loose band, then try another of the same exact ...size/style in another color and not even be able to pull it tight enough to hook. Frustrating as a customer, and I don't understand why.
There are four rows of three hooks on the back of this bra, and I'm hoping that this means I can give it a little more life by continuing to tighten it past the time when I would otherwise have had to abandon it due to the elastic aging.

I had the SAME issue! One was sooo loose, like a 36 when it was a 34 and the band I ended up with was as tight as a 30 even though it was a 34! I wouldn't buy these online.

I love the out-front, round, projected look that Kris Line is so good at, and this bra is no exception. Unfortunately, because this is small on me, I have to work hard not to get armpit bulges or quadboob, but I think in the right size I would absolutely love it. The gores are a good width, the bra is sturdy, and the shape, as I mentioned, is great. The wires can be a little bit uncomfortable, but aren't terrible, and I really appreciate that they are on the narrow side, although if they were even narrower I think it would be more comfortable - I get a bit of poking with all-day wear. The lace is very firm and a little less soft than I would like (slightly scratchy), but is not uncomfortable ultimately. In general, I think I can confidently recommend this bra. I wish I could give it a proper review in the right size, but alas... I'm sized out.
This bra fits my larger breast perfectly. The other side gapes just a little at the top but it isn't noticeable under clothes. Unfortunately, this bra does not look good under t-shirts.
When I first tried this bra on, I didn't like it. I think I was thrown off by the soft fabric at the top of the cup. I normally can't fit very well into completely unlined/nonpadded bras. The more I wore this bra around though, the more I liked it. It's more full coverage than I'm used to, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. My only complaint is that it makes my boobs ever so slightly pointy. I don't think it's enough for anyone to notice though.
