Lunaires Versailles (13211) is one of my all time favorite bras that I've ever worn! I've gained a bit of weight therefore my boobs have gained also. So a Versailles I recently bought from HerRoom , size 40DD didn't fit me in the cups ( the gore didn't fully tack) so I returned it for exchange to a 40DDD which fits great. It totally encapsulates my breasts, the gore tacks ect ect , plus, I like the shape it gives me. And is the most comfortable I own. And, I just love the stretchy jacquard the cups are made of.
This seems like a really good value for the money if you get can get the size right. I got this one on Amazon for $28 USD, less than half the price of a comparable Panache, Freya, or Wacoal sports bra.
The band seems pretty stretchy, I fastened it on the tightest hooks right out of the bag, so it would go back even if the cups fit. The cups are very large however. In my side view picture I'm pointing to where my nipples are in the cup, almost an inch below the apex. I measured the cup depth as 12.3" wire-to-wire and the ...height from the base of the underwire to the top seam is 8.5". Bratabase says the Panache non-wired sports bra in 36FF has similar measurements! This bra has US sizing and is available in up to a G cup which I'm guessing will fit like a UK G or GG. The gore is a little wide for me at 1.5" where the wires end. The gore is 4" tall from the base of the underwires to their ends.
This bra seems pretty nicely made for the price. The cups are lined with a perforated CoolMax fabric that is supposed to wick away moisture. The seams are covered and the underwires are well padded. It feels very soft and comfortable to wear. I can't answer for motion control of course but the shaping looks pretty good even if it's a bit pointy. There is a seam along the tops f the cups and there is fabric above that covers the chest so you don't have to worry about falling out if you're doing an inverted pose.
I doubt I'll try a different size as I'm close-set at the top and the wide gore is a deal breaker for me. It could work well for you though if you have average width between your breasts and wear up to a G/GG UK size in a 32-48 band. Order the band size you wear in an everyday bra - this is one sports bra you don't need to size up. Read more 258 more words
You find the most lovely bras: I sincerely appreciate the aesthetic you select!!
Thanks, DTT. Being a male, i am never sure how they look. So I really appreciate the positive reinforcement from a lady who has such great taste in bras.
Stretch molded cups, doesn't give any uni-boob look at all. The bra is wireless. Fits my conical, slightly uneven/different shaped breast great. The top feels like it's pressing down a tad on my FOT-ish shape. The straps are tapered and super wide at the fullest part. Thin cup material will show the world if it's "cold".
This is the most comfortable bra I have ever worn. Everything about this bra is soft. The cups, the straps and even wire feels soft because of the padded channel it sits inside of. This 38DD fits me really well. The cups have inner slings in them which adds to the support in the jacquard stretch cups. So soft! Leotard back too.
VERY tight in the band--only fastens around my 33" ribcage comfortably on the last set of hooks. Okay pattern--you don't see much of this color. A tidbit frumpy, but not bad. Gives a nice shape. Ever so slightly too small--it barely cuts into the breast tissue at the top of the cup--difficult to get with a picture, and can't be seen under a shirt, but it's definitely happening a little. There's a bit of warping on the band near the cups--I think this was because they kept it fastened in the store, and it pulled itself into that state. The band isn't continuous under the cups; the underwire serves as the bottoms for the cups. This makes them sort of sit into the tissue underneath my breasts, which is a bit uncomfortable.
Overall a good bra and a good buy. It fits well, and the gore lies flat (which has always been my #1 challenge). The shape and support given are both more than acceptable.
Front adjustable hook straps, soft fabric, supportive for mid-intensity workouts. Very tall wires at gore and wing… If you like Wacoal bras you may like this sports bra.
It gives average lift and gives the breasts a very natural shape. I really liked the material and the side slings, which gave a little more support. However, despite this, I felt like the bra pushed my boobs down and out. It gave me too much separation for my frame. It also wasn't very comfortable because the center gore tended to dig into me after a while. It's a nice bra, but it just wasn't right for me.
This bra is a little miracle. My mum bought it for herself as I finally decided I want a band size of 32, but when this bra arrived, it was too tight for mum to wear, but exactly made for me. The upper part of the cup has been lined with a ribbon, but this made the cup too narrow for me at the top, so I took it out and now it's a fantastic bra. Also the band is very tight for a 34 at the bottom, but is looser at the top, which suits my shape well (tiny waist, broad shoulders). It provides terrific support, and ...I easily forgive it making my bust a little smaller. The only real negative is it's full coverage, which I don't like visually and doesen't go with low cut clothing. But the lace is really nice and barely shows under even light clothes. I did a bad color choice with it (taupe), so it will never be a dating-bra despite the nice lace.
Edit: Now I feel much less warmly to this bra. The band has stretched, and with other well fitting bras I've got now, it seems just wrong. Wide underwire, weird shape, weird look.... Now I've got better. Read more 99 more words
Overall this bra was comfortable, except for one problem: it was too high in the sides for my short torso, and cut into the front of my armpits. I probably didn't have quite the right size, as the gore was pointing out pretty far from my chest. Aesthetically the shape was a too pointy for me, it felt like my boobs were pointing out to the left and right at 45 degree angles, and it made my silhouette strangely wide in the chest, when viewed from the front.
I tried this bra before in 36G (us sizing). The band was way too tight and the cups seemed a size large. The sister size would be 38DDD so I figured this size would fit but no! There’s a big difference in the depth and cups are quite a bit too small. The band is a bit big, I had to use the middle hooks. I’m disappointed because it looks comfy and I like the seamless cups. They are supportive because there’s a band of lightly padded fabric attached to the bottom and sides of the wires.
This bra has very beautiful scroll work. Unsurprisingly, the cup is too big for me all around. The band is too tight, so I'd probably have to try a 32DD or probably 34D to get a better fit. However, it may be too full on top and wide overall to work for my shape.
I normally love Lunaire bras. They offer great lift and support for a reasonable price. This bra, however, is a total fail. Upon trying it on, it seemed to fit properly. The band was nice and snug and the cups were a correct fit. But all went downhill, literally, throughout the day! In my attempt to get some lift, I ducked into the ladies room and tightened up the band by fastening it to the second column of clasps. That worked for about fifteen minutes. The fabric that makes up the band for this bra is not sturdy enough to support large busts and just continues to stretch out over time. By the time I got home and removed my bra, the band showed stress from being pulled tight to obtain some support. The elastic dug into my sides and my back. This was not a flattering look for me. It's already in my trash.
Well that sounds terrible! Hope you find a better fitting bra. Welcome to bratabase! Check out the measuring guide we have here and acquaint yourself with it. The more you know the better you understand how a bra should fit you. And the more comfortable you will become with measuring your own bras for the amazing database we have here. Make sure you double check your bra size, 85% of women are wearing an ill fitting size. Generally speaking your underbust/rib measurement is equal to your band size (so if you measure 36 inches you wear a 36 band), then you measure around the fullest part of the bust and subtract the rib measurement. This gets your cup size. There are cups larger than DDD and bands smaller than 32 and a DDD is not neccessarily a huge cup size. I wear a 28DD and am close to flat chested! Here's a great beginner video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Jk55ep4XUQ&t=4s
I bought this after my breast reduction surgery. The slings on the side helped keep me forward and comfortable, and being wire-free is great. Not the prettiest bra ever, and I wore it out pretty fast, but it got the job done.
When I ordered this bra from HerRoom.com my 38DD Versailles (13211) (previous bra) was just starting to feel too small, like my boobs had grown a size. So I ordered this bra at size 40DD. But to my surprise it is a bit to small also. So I sent it back for an exchange to a 40DDD/F. As soon as I get it I'll enter it's measurements into the Bratabase data base.
A very pretty and feminine bra, the band feels true to size, it feels like my 32 band wacoal bras, I wear them on the middle row of hooks, the band is wide and very comfortable, the cups run a little on the bigger side, I have a bit of unfilled space at the very top of the cups, where the straps meet the cup, still wearable, not noticeable when wearing clothes. It gives a rounded look and the lift is very natural. The lace feels a bit scratchy. The straps don't adjust all the way. It is a very beautiful bra!!
This bra I bought off of Ebay for 18$. It is so-far ,the best fitting bra I've ever tryed on but is kind of uncomfortable and tight in the band. But it should break in after a few wears. The underwire pokes me in the armpits but other than that the cups are perfect for my boobs. Giving me a great shape. I want to find more bras that are similar to this when it comes to cup width and depth. I love the seamless lace cups too. I think it is called "Jaquard lace.
I really like this style! But it does not come in my size :\ @40:8 but maybe the 42G would work.....
