This is quite a decadent bra. The cups are covered in floral embroidery in black, cream, rose, and metallic thread. The cups do seem to run large, and I ordered a cup size smaller than I normally wear. I do wish the wings and band were more firmly supported: they seem to wrinkle a lot, so either some boning or a firm fabric lining would do them a lot of good. This bra works well for my shallow breasts, and would be an awesome special occasion bra!
This is the most comfortable bra I currently own. Despite the severe plunge, I never feel as if I'm falling out of it (super separate boobs help there). I normally hate anything that has any form of pink on it, but this bra is really pretty. I wasn't certain about the shape at first; the top section above the "horizontal" seam is a little short, so it gives a little more of a pointed shape than I'm used to. I wore it a couple times, though, and decided it looks pretty good. The only issue I have is occasional gaps at the top of the cups, which is easily fixed with a quick adjustment.
I've been looking for something that plays nicely with my FoT boobs but with enough lower projection. So, something sort of like the Marcie and like the Entice. This is the combination I've been wanting.
The wires are nice and high, the gore tall but it doesn't feel like it comes up higher than it does on my Marcie (it's just the lower band). It's substantially less shallow than the Entice which means it doesn't get pushed down over the course of the day.
The band is firm and made of very nice fabric. I have it in the Bravissimo "Antique Ice" colorway which is a very nice contrast to "Antique" and the black one. It also feels mature, I can dig it.
Just as I thought, cups appear to be too deep and not wide enough for my wide rooted boobs. They give a good uplift that won't make rib cage hurt. So nice!
Otherwise lovely, soft, pretty and firm bra. I enjoy good fabric coated shoulder straps so much. They are relatively far apart, but for me that's only a good thing.
I love this bra https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> It's very comfortable and looks really great. The center gore is pretty wide which is good for me. The wires are also a good width for me. The cups are quite short but not so short that my nipples are in danger of poking out. This bra is a size 28F but the band feels more like a 30 (it wasn't brand new when I got it so maybe it already stretched out a bit). Since I'm between band sizes the loose band is okay for me though. The only negative thing is that the top of the cup is a bit rigid and therefore doesn't always lie flat but that seems to be the case with most Masquerade bras.
This is a stunning bra and the wider underwires suit my shape so much better than the Freya Deco. It's smooth enough to wear as a t-shirt bra, gives great lift and rounded shape. The band is VERY snug, more for a 26 back than a 28 back.
I quickly migrated myself out of this size. I now own two of these in 28G.
I bought the Amor in 30F because the 28FF band felt too tight. The 30F band was fine, but it turns out that the cup is too small. The cup and the band run small in this style.
It's a gorgeous bra, and gives a lovely rounded shape and lift.
I never really thought of myself as a full on top boob person, but as it turns out I have a bit of top tissue that doesn't quite work with this bra. I found the upper panel flattened the top of my boobs in a weird way.
This bra fit pretty well otherwise. I just didn't like the shape.
Bah, the bra is too wide for me, after all :/ I notice that I leave it in the dresser because during all-day wear, the wires start to poke and the too-far-apart straps kind of dig in my armpits.
So I'll just have to list it and go for a 30H. ---- 16 July: Well this was an interesting acquaintance!
When I received the bra, my first thought was that the cups are HUGE, there’s no way in the world I’m going to fill those!
And indeed, the cups are very big – but funnily enough, not really too big. I think I could go with a 30H, too, i.e. a size ...smaller both in the band and the cup, but I might be in risk of quad-boobing. The 32H gives more coverage than the half-cups I currently own, but that definitely isn’t a problem, on the contrary. The support is really amazing!! The cups are actually too wide for me, and the straps are really wide-set, which I assumed would feel uncomfortable, but surprisingly enough, the whole package just feels really firm and supportive. I could even run a bit in this bra without having to be afraid of ending up with two black eyes.
Even though there's no gaping in the cups themselves, the lace on the top of the cup doesn’t sit perfectly flat (which I assume it would were the cups a tad smaller), but it sets as I put a shirt on. The thick embroidery + the “gaping” lace means that I can’t wear this bra under shirts with thin material, but for me it’s not really a problem.
The band is very firm and doesn’t stretch much. I wear this on the second-tightest hooks as new, but I hope I won’t have to alter down it too soon. There are only two hooks, which is a definite con. The band is also a bit weirdly constructed so that it looks as if it’s riding up, even though it sits put. I love the supportiveness of the band, but it’s not exactly a back fat eliminating whole.
And the straps... Padded, flat comfort straps!!!! <3
Summa summarum: this actually should be a far worse fit than it really is: too wide and slightly large cups, wide-set straps, not-really-perfect band... but the whole is incredibly comfortable and supportive. The Delphi looks like a special occasions bra (so pretty!), but I suspect this one will be my heavy-used everyday bra. Read more 298 more words
Hi could you measure stretched cup depth in this bra for me? :) Where the cup is biggest, so on top just below the lace.
Also if you could measure strap position; From tip of the wire channel at the sides and to the part of the strap furthest back. Both unstreched and stretched :)
Nerd here has wanted this bra since forever :)
Stretched top of the cup (on the knee) about 33 cm (it's difficult to get accurate measurements with a knee and stretching :D).
I'm not entirely sure what you meant by that other measurement, but the wire channel to the middle of the strap on the backside measures 9.5cm stretched and about 13.5cm stretched to the max.
The Masquerade Alice Padded Plunge Bra fits perfectly in 30E in Mineral. I sized down after reading reviews. Unfortunately the vertical seaming (one structural vertical seam per cup, stitching visible front and back) makes the padding so stiff that the bra cups don't move with me. This is in contrast to the Masquerade Amor in 30F in Sapphire, which also fits well but does encase me properly no matter what I do. I'm returning this bra and the matching panties, despite the perfect fit in a resting position and the very useful light/medium darkness of the bluish greenish pastel color. It's a gorgeous bra, and the panties are lovely, too. I often have to wear a UK size 8 in panties, but the size 10 seemed to fit well. I only tried them on over my own panties, so I don't know if they would slip down or ride up during actual wear.
I love it! It is definitely not a full coverage. Yay! I can wear it with most of my shirts. The center gore is short enough that it works pretty well for close set boobies. Feels very comfortable - a bit tight initially, but not bad. Definitely getting 80% of support from the band.
It is a beautiful basque and I absolutely adore it and so does the hubby. The down fall it does not fit really. It is too small in the cups and too big in the body
Too shallow; keeps sliding down as the day wears on, too small cups, band slightly too big (wish Masquerade had more hooks), straps slide down and constantly loosen themselves, shape definitely not compatible.
Very pretty, love the colors. Will keep it as a house and errand bra because I do have to adjust myself several times a day while wearing it.
The band looks really really tight on you, and it could be messing up fit. Just something to look out for. Those wires are distorting majorly on you.
