I've been looking for a shallow bra with fairly narrow wires, and this fits the bill. I think it runs a cup large because I'm a solid 28DD and it seems like it would be perfect in a 28D. The band runs quite tight
The quality of this bra is excellent. All the hooks and hardware seem to be metal, which is a nice change from all the plastic/plastic coated hardware I'm used to.
Fit was nearly perfect before alterations, is perfect now.
The top oddly gapped so I just pulled the ribbons tighter. Cups now are flat and no wrinkling.
Straps didn't seem well attached. If I pinned them in, fixed.
So, I trimmed the top lace off. Then, pulled the straps down so they attached to more of the cups.
Then, as I am not a good seamstress, I just sewed the trimmed lack to the straps to hide my strap adjustment. Then because I can, added some chocolate ribbon and flowers. The lace already made it not a t shirt bra.
Now I love it https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
The Rhea is one of my favourite bras. Not only is it pretty but the wires are also the perfect width and shape for my boobs. They don't come up too high on the sides and instead of going straight up they are bend outwards a bit which is great for me.
Even though this is a good fit for me there are two things that I don't like about this bra:
1) The straps. These are the most uncomfortable straps I've ever had on a bra, I actually think about replacing them. They are only half-adjustable and the non-adjustable part has no stretch at all, so they end up ...cutting into my shoulders a bit because they are so rigid. If I loosen them they tend to fall off my shoulders.
2) The top of the cup. The material of the cup doesn't mold to your body at all, as a result the top of the cup gapes when I'm bringing my shoulders forward. This is noticable under clothing unless I wear a camisole.
If it wasn't for those issues I would love to wear my Rhea as an everyday bra, but I think it might not have been designed to be worn on a daily basis. Read more 96 more words
This bra is elegant and completely gorgeous. Photos don't do it justice. The colors are rich and vivid and the details in the bobble trim are lovely. The background color is a rose-beige, and the roses on the print are in shades of pink, red, and yellow. The bobble trim is a redwood-rose color. The colors are very flattering to my olive skin, especially with my summer tan. How I wish I would have gotten a 30DD instead of a D. I have quadro-boob and escapage everywhere.
This bra gives me the "orange in a glass" look at its finest... Completely wrong shape for me. The cups curve inward too much on top (I hope you can tell that from the picture I uploaded) and my breasts just refuse to go into the cup. The wires seem to be okay though. I really like the pattern and the soft fabric! Too bad it gives me Madonna boobs.
The gore doesn't tack at the bottom, but otherwise, it's probably one of the most comfortable bras I've tried on. Gore aside, the fit is absolutely perfect.
I think I'm wearing this in a cup size too small, but I think there would be too much gaping in a cup size larger. I have slightly shallow and I think slightly FOB breasts. This bra is one of the best fitting bras I own.
When i stand straight, I have a pretty nice outline, and when I put my shoulders back, some slight quadboob, but if I put my shoulders forward, some slight gaping. Overall, the fit looks pretty nice.
The quality is pretty nice too. It doesn't seem to have a lot of stretch. The material is satiny with the lace detail on top of ...the moulded cup (not a separate section of lace). This material may show up through a tight-fitting shirt, but isn't too noticeable. It's a very elegant looking bra. The straps are kind of wide. The gore is quite comfortable! With the bandeau-type fit (the cups are attached to the same piece of fabric across the entire front instead of just at the gore) the support is outstanding!
Overall, its a pretty good quality and well fitting bra. Read more 78 more words
One of my favourite bras ever, once I moved the straps in. They are seriously wide set.
Good: The cups are very compatible with full on top breasts and give me an amazing cakes on a plate cleavage. Beautiful bra Very low cut Underwires are good at narrow-average
Bad: The band is tight and not stretchy and awful Straps are too long, not fully adjustable. Wide straps
Beautiful bra, but the cups were just too small/shallow for me. Seems like in the right size it would give a gorgeous shape: projected, lifted and centered. The band is TTS.
this is a beautiful bra, but like every underwired 28dd bra i've ever tried, the center gore wires are painful on my sternum. the cups are seamed 3 piece, and give a slightly pointed look. i get slight quadboobage on my larger breast, and slight gaping on my smaller breast. the band is also slightly larger than it should be and rides up when on the loosest hooks.
This bra is cuter in person! The tassel is just adorable, and I love the lacy straps. I was a little unsure about the cup size -- It feels almost borderline too small, and while the cups are comfortable and don't cause quadboob at the boundary, it's just small enough that there's slight bulging in the upper cup under the fabric. I'd call it on the small side of fitting. If a 30H fits me, generally, it means the style runs bigger (I'm usually more of a 30HH/J), so take heed!
The biggest problem with this bra is that the band is very stiff, as several reviewers have mentioned, and the band is quite tight. I'm keeping this size because I figure a band this stiff won't be terribly elastic when it does start to loosen, so I'm anticipating a dramatic change in band size over its wear.
I wear this bra a lot. Good points include the colour and material which is a much nicer alternative to a lot of other "nude" bras. The top of the cups doesn't quite match up with my breasts, but under clothes it is fine. I think this is because of the way the satin folds over the top edge instead of finishing with a trim like a lot of other bras do, any slight gap is more noticeable. I love the fabric and design of this bra, it feels luxurious. Even though it doesn't fit properly any more I still find myself reaching for it when I need a nude type bra.
Not a perfect fit but it is honestly the best I've ever worn. I don't know what it is about coral-colored bras but I feel like I must have them all. This bra is very pretty but a more simple pretty; lace (with some shine) over foam cups, decorative bow and bear on gore, satin band and edges. Only two hooks which is a bummer, but that's just what Masquerade does. Only part of the straps are adjustable, which is fine for me but an issue for others.
The band feels pretty firm and makes you feel like if you stretch it too far, it'd tear rather than, well, ...stretch. I could stretch it to a little over 31in, but that was honestly pushing the limits. So needless to say, this bra runs small in the band. That said, it feels a bit too loose on me. I could comfortably hook it onto the last set of hooks.
I spill out on my larger side (while being too large for my smaller side), but this is not a deal breaker for me at all since there is much else is right with this bra. I can adjust the cup in a way so I don't spill out as much (or at all), but over time it decides it wants to bubble over once more. Plus I feel going up in cup volume would make the smaller side more problematic, so I feel this is a good balance. (For this bra)
The cups are moulded and not 100% perfect for my shape (as is the case for most people), the bottom part is a bit too shallow for me and the side of the cup near the gore is a little flat. The rest of it feels pretty good though (and is pretty darn comfortable, soft, huggable). It gives a good lift. The gore lays on some breast tissue, but that's pretty par for the course for me. It doesn't stab or put pressure on anything though, so I am fine with it.
Something interesting is that the wire channel is longer than the wires themselves. There is some empty space at the top of the gore and the top under the arms; about 1.5cm on each end, or about 3cm of extra space. Wire width is very nice for me, at least what I can tell so far. Also, the bra occasionally makes a creaking noise. Don't know what's up with that, but I don't mind it much.
Really beautiful orange-red bra. Comfortable, softly padded cups covered in lace (or a kind of embroidered net material - much nicer than it sounds) and edged with satin, which also makes up the front of the straps. It gives me a nice round, uplifted, slightly "Marie Antoinette" shape.
The centre gore doesn't quite lie flat, and there's a tiny bit of overspill. I think a cup size up would be too big. I'm trying to decide whether to return it or to keep it despite the minor fit issues, as it's so beautiful.
I really enjoyed this bra. The band was quite snug (needed help to clasp it), but I think with an extender for a few weeks it would have worked. The cup has a decent immediate projection, and looked smooth under a shirt. Unfortunately, I had to select only a few to keep on this shopping trip, and it was too expensive.
Before ordering this bra I've read a lot of reviews saying that Delphi runs big in the cups. As this kind of rumours are often confirmed on by boobs, I decided to try it in 30DD instead if my usual 30E.
The band - is not very stretchy, a little loose but it keeps well fastened on the loosest hook. It's not as wide is I like, that's why I can't wear this bra very often. The cups - they run a little bigger indeed, but not an entire cup size. These cups are a little bit too small, but I'm convinced, that 30E would be too big. Some days ...the center gore doesn't lay flat against the sternum. The straps - they are very beautiful, the front part is unstretchy, made of a wide soft satin fabric. They tend to slide off my shoulders.
What I don't appreciate in Masquerade bras are the thin satin bands. They are sure very beautiful, but not very comfortable for wearing it everyday. That's why this is on my bras for special occasions. The quality is great and the apperance matches perfectly my aesthetic taste though. Read more 81 more words
