The sizing is really off on this bra - the band is so short, I can wear the bra as a hat. It's probably more like a 28GG or H than a 30G. I really like the look of this bra (tres sexi) but it does give a significant retro look - boobs are lifted, pointed, and a little downward-sloping in profile. This could be because the band is so small that the shape is deforming, not sure. I'd like to try this in a 32FF, but the sizing is so inconsistent in this brand that it would be a major gamble.
This bra runs a band size small and a cup size small, at least. I ordered a 30D and the band fits like a 28, while the cups fit a size small. It's a little difficult to judge but I'd say this fits like a 28C or D. The wires are also very wide, and so are the straps, though they're connected sort of inward on the cups in the front. I wish there had been reviews of this bra so I could've ordered a size that would have worked for me (probably 30E?) because it's quite comfortable and has a nice structure to it for a unlined bra.
For all intents and purposes this swimsuit fits. For what it's worth I've heard great things about Midnight Grace's sweetheart tops. But there just not enough fabric in this halter top swimsuit for me to feel fully comfortable. I'll keep it for an extra swimsuit. It put it next to my Panache swimsuit and the wires were exactly the same and it fits, there's no quad boob, but... the panache had a lot more coverage.
This is definitely my best fitting bra. The cups are really shallow and open on top, so they fit my shallow breasts without cutting in on the top edge. The band is perfect, I don't have to adjust throughout the day. Very cute styling, even though the lace edge and bow are totally white (I have an aversion to white lingerie).
The band is really loose, especially as I need a 28 band. That said, I was really confused about the shape this bra was giving me when I first started wearing it, but I realize now that it's actually pretty good for me. The wires are really narrow, which is good, but the cups are a tad too small and the gore a little bit too wide. This could possibly be fixed (or maybe it'll be made worse) going up to a 30FF, and taking in the gore, but I'd have to see.
Yet another bra where shallower cups would help a lot. The wire seems to be the right size, even maybe a bit too short, but my soft breast don't fill out the fabric. Also, I'd go down a band in this; I can fit my hand under even the tightest hook.
This bra almost fits me. The cups are too small, which I feared when getting trying the 30G. I believe I am a 30G/GG/H. I cannot tell if it actually runs small, or if it is just me (I am a novice here). My only real issue is the quad-boob effect, which I think would be corrected with a larger cup size. Otherwise, it would be a cute and comfortable bra. Since my boobs are full on the bottom, I like a good push from the under wire and molded cups for lift for a more cleavage-y look. Many of the bras I try on run too high into my arm pits, and this bra seems that it would rest comfortably.
I misjudged the size in this bra when I ordered it, so the cup is too big. however, the band was my usual 32 and it is incredible tight! I could just fasten it but without an extender it is painful. The gore jabs painfully - not sure why exactly, it's like the wire ends are turned in and stabbing, and bending the wire away only made the jabbing move down lower on the wire. The cups are very open at the top and I think even if I had sized down i would have had trouble filling them. The straps are fully adjustable and have a pattern on them. It's really unfortunate this was such a poorly fitting bra for me, as it's absolutely gorgeous!
This bra is so cute. If I could wear it around without clothes I would, especially with the matching thong. Sadly, the fit is off. It seems all my Figleaves bras have the same problem... They give me a quad boob on the bottom but have lots of wrinkling at the top (anyone that can help solve this mystery will be forever in my gratitude!). This one the top of the gore does not touch my sternum by any means, which is odd because the band is firm and tight. The main issue I have is the straps. Gah these things hurt. They are very skinny with almost ...no stretch to them. This pain continues down through my armpits as it cuts in there too. The shape is rather pointy, and slightly east/west just because of the cup separation I think. Luckily the east/west doesn't show under shirts, as I still look nice and slim! The pointed shape is relatively flattering though I feel I have to keep adjusting all day. The colors and lace that I love about this bra unfortunately make it rather difficult to wear. Nothing light/see-through and nothing tight, else all the lines will show. Rather unfortunate because the pointed shape is kind of nice. The fabric is also relatively weak so I don't feel like I get a lot of support. There's a lot of bouncing going on. This would be a really cute bra on someone... I wish it fit me better. The wrinkling at top and quadboob at bottom sounds like an omega shape boob problem in combination with close set breasts. Some bras that are good for this are the Masquerade Persia and Comexim.
The midnight grace nursing bras were too small. These were the first bras to have straps that were too short, I'm haven't had that problem before with any bra. The cups were also too small. It looked tiny and I'm not even nursing/pregnant. To be honest I'm even sure if there were other issues, I just wanted to get it off and returned as fast as possible.
So happy with this bra! I was very hesitant to buy it because there is almost no information about the Midnight Grace Figleaves line on bratabase, blogs, or even the Figleaves own website. I'm very happy I took the risk.
First of all, this bra does run a little tight for a 30 band. This is a plus for me, as I prefer 28 bands in a lot of bras. The stretched band is just under 30 inches, which makes it smaller than 3/4 of my recent Ewa 30-band purchases and 2-5 inches smaller, stretched, than 30-band Freya bras I've tried. If you like a looser 30, this is ...something to keep in mind.
The wires on this bra are narrow, very close in width to my Ewa bras, which was another plus for me.
Cups run true to size, and construction seems to be of good quality. Under a shirt, my breasts have a nice shape - lifted but not too out there, and somewhere between Freya and Cleo bras in terms of roudedness.
One thing of note is that the top layer of lace does not sit flat against the cups at all areas. It's only attached at one part. Therefore, the profile view of this bra makes it look super-pointy and/or like the bra doesn't fit properly. This is just the overlaying lace. If you put a shirt over the bra, none of this is visible.
I would definitely buy this or another Midnight Grace bra in the future. Read more 139 more words
I picked this up recently on a Figleaves sale, as I wanted a few more bikinis/tankinis for summer!
If you are looking for a vintage-style tankini, look no further! I was floored at how absolutely pin up girl this tankini looks on! The stripes are reminiscent of a sailor stripe style, and I really think it would look great with red bottoms instead of the striped ones that 'match'. The silhouette of the bra part is slightly pointy and slightly east-west, which helps give a rockin' 50's hourglass silhouette. Wow!
The strap is a halter strap which can be removed, so you can wear it strapless. The support isn't as ...great strapless, but it's still totally fine. I'd prefer traditional straps, but it looks really nice.
The cups are padded kind of weirdly, like the padding feels a little rigid in a weird way. It still feels totally fine.
I also should say that I wore this on the tightest hooks as I typically need a 28 band, but it is VERY firm on the tightest hooks -- no 28 band necessary! Read more 70 more words
