For a couple of weeks now, I often don't feel so comfortable in my wired panache sports bras anymore, so I decided to give the unwired one a try and I LOVE it!! It's so comfortable and nicely tight! (I have to wear my wired ones on the tightest hook and they feel less tight than this one on the last hook!) I did wear it for lounging all day today https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" /> It gives less support than the wired ones, but it's enough for my recently started cheerleading. I don't think it will be enough for gymnastics and trampoline though ... href="https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" rel="nofollow">https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> So if you have problems with the immediate deepth of the wired one and are ok with a moderate amount of support, this is your bra!
Edit: this is the first panache sports bra that I can wear without closing the hook in the back! This is pretty amazing for me, but if you are low set you might have problems with the strap length!
Edit edit: wore it the second time for cheerleading today and can't wear it without hooking it up anymore :/ I guess it just stretched for a tiny bit and now it's too long https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> Read more 114 more words
I love this bra! I've spent years in ill-fitting compression-style bralettes from various places but, after reading numerous rave reviews, I finally picked one of these up, and I'm so glad I did. I purchased it in black from Breakout Bras (via Amazon). The pros first:
The good:
-The band is veeeery comfortable. I've read many people saying it runs really tight but, as I measure under 26" comfortably and most 28's feel big on me, this one feels great. It's also a sports bra, so it should be pretty snug and secure, right? There are three hooks, and they're a little padded, so it adds an extra feeling ...of stability and comfort.
-There is a racerback option. It cuts into my shoulders near my neck a bit, but it does feel like it might be a good option for higher impact activities.
-It actually looks great under clothing! It could easily be worn under normal shirts and would never be suspected of being a sports bra. It does have a bit of a minimizing effect, but there is also still good definition.
The bad(ish):
-The F is a bit small, but I really think the FF would have too much extra room, especially at the top. The wires could be a little higher on the sides as well. The fit is close enough I don't think sizing up is necessary.
-The center gore is a little wide, but I think I might be more close-set than I realized previously. It requires a little adjustment to get things situated properly. It doesn't really detract from the feel of the fit too much, but would be better if it were more narrow.
Overall, I'm very happy with this bra, and would definitely consider getting a second one.
For reference, I'm about 26FF, even but functionally FOB, narrow, close set, center full, firm tissue, with asymmetry.
I've had this bra for 9 months, it is the closest I've gotten to a sports bra that fits, and it's the most comfortable bra I have.
Cups: The cups are too wide and extend an inch or so past my roots. The depth is in between what I need for my larger and smaller sides so the "gore" rests on my larger boob but the cup gaps slightly on my smaller one. Because there are no wires, neither of these issues are uncomfortable at all, and surprisingly, they don't ...diminish the support at all. I can imagine the wired version would be rather painful because of my close-setness. The cups are closed enough on top that the gap on my smaller side isn't visible. This bra has a very forgiving fit. They totally eliminate bounce and pain when exercising, even jumping and running. I'm very sensitive to sport bras that make me feel compressed or like it's hard to breathe, and this one is great.
Straps: I LOVE the wide padded straps. I LOVE how the narrow set straps stay far away from my armpits. That is a problem I have with so many bras, it is always a relief to wear this one. There is a j-hook for converting to racerback, but I rarely do this, so the hook is more of an annoyance because it tends to snag on my long hair.
Band: Runs TTS, unfortunately for me. I'm on the smaller side of 26 (snug underbust 24.8") and I must wear this on the tightest hook, even new. The way the band is constructed is more complex than a standard bra and seems like it would be more difficult to alter.
Aesthetic: The shape looks great under clothing, giving a projected, rounded, slightly peaked shape. The seams don't show up even under thin and tight t-shirts. Read more 219 more words
I have basically the same experience in this bra as you do - too wide cups and gore but these don't cause any issues in support or comfort being wireless. The wired version seems to be more popular but it would be really uncomfortable for me.
This Panache 7341 unwired sports bra in 28F looked very impressive structurally before I put it on. However once on, all that structure basically vanishes. It's just a garden variety uniboob/compression bra. Nothing special about it, except the prestige-bra price.
I can see why people find it comfortable, but frankly I own decent sports bras in XS that do the same thing. A little cup structure in front, then hard compression. That's what this Panache 28F does, and I don't think it takes $70 to find a bra that does the same.
The padded straps are nice -- but the lack of innate racerback structure comes at a ...cost to stability. This is a fairly standard design choice for lingerie-maker-sports-bras, but I find it puzzling. On a sports bra, that's a lot of compression stress on that one tiny little metal hook! Not even a fancy hook or extra-stable, extra-flat, or anything. The same cheap little breakable hook as any other bra.
I'd accept this structure if I find a bra that otherwise offers an improved fit. But this bra is not. It's so similar to my other compression bras that I'm struggling to sit here and figure out the difference. The lack of innate racerback is the one major structural difference that is obvious in feel -- and it is not a positive difference.
I had (barely) enough strap length to shorten the straps enough. So that was good.
I found the shoulders fit really weird & uncomfortably, in the standard strap config. This vanished when I tried it racerback, so that's the only way I'd probably wear this, if I was keeping it, which I am definitely not.
Not impressed. Another pass. Read more 177 more words
hmm, interesting. It looks sharp though. I like how narrow the straps are.
BraOdyssey Ya - the straps are narrow and fairly stable for a nonracerback - and also not gonna lie, they are pretty comfortable. Panache makes nice straps.
Bust perimeter: 35.5" Stretched Band: 27" end to end. From smallest hooks to eyes it's 25.5" Band Length: 24" end to end. 22.5" smallest hooks to eyes. Cup Width: 5.5" Cup Depth: 8.75" Wire Length: 9.25" Cup Seperation: 1.125" Strap Width: 1" at widest point
Compared to most other bras from Panache, this one fits me in an F. The only problems are the top doesn't come up quite high enough, as mentioned by another lady on here, and the straps when worn as a racerback style dig into my neck a bit too much. I think that latter part has something to do with the fact that I have some muscle there, so ...it's just pressing on it. And I think if I had gotten this in an FF the cups may have been a bit too big. It is a sports bra afterall. It's supposed to be tight! And because of that it does have a slight minimizing effect by about a half inch.
I love the fact that the straps are cushioned. My shoulders are bony and straps are always uncomfortable no matter how tight or loose I have them. Plus these are center pull straps so they fit my narrow frame much more approriately than every other bra I've ever tried and worn. I wear this as a regular bra because of the support and comfort. It doesn't look bulky under t-shirts and it doesn't give you uniboob.
Another plus is the band is quite snug (I gave the two different measurements above because when I first joined this site I could have sworn measuring the band stretched and unstretched was done so from smallest hooks to eyes, and I believe that is what I have most of my other bras measured at too), and having the 3 hooks as opposed to 2 is even better. I can close this on the largest setting brand new! Something I've never been able to do. The wires have some slightly cushioning on them as well as the hook and eye closure.
*Update Sept 2012* It's now too small. My full bust is an inch larger so I need this in a bigger cup =( Read more 248 more words
This is the best sports bra ever! It's a great fit and is incredibly supportive. There is practically no bounce at all. It is so comfortable and much more flattering than compression sports bras. The straps are wide and comfortable and can convert to a racer back. It has no irritating label- the label is printed onto the band. Love it!
Great bra but do size up in the band!! This one is purple/violet with white stripe on top.
My boobs are: wide + tall root, shallow. My "usual" size: 28F.
I have had the wired version in 30E and 28F (black, pink, purple, turqouise, raspberry colourways) (oh dear, how many I´ve owned!!!). 28F started to feel a bit too tight at some point so I sized up to 30E. I couldn´t even close this 28F, first I had to go get an extender!! So I do think it is tighter in the band than the wired version.
Other than that, it is a great bra https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Feels very supportive and comfortable and gives great lift! I think that in my case, it fits just as well as the wired one. "Cups" are wide enough and the shape is awesome.
I don't do a whole lot of cardio, so even though I love my Shock Absorbers, I don't need to be squashed down mot gym days. So, I wanted something else, something more comfortable. I tried the Panache on recommendation from a friend and I really quite liked it. It is comfortably projected, it isn't terribly wide, and the wires are crazy cushioned. I like that the cups are high. I'm high set and I don't like showing a lot of cleavage at the gym, so this works well for me. Because it is so high coverage, I can also easily wear it on its own during summer which ...is my preference. The volume was appropriate for me in the cups. The band is TTS 28 and the tension distribution is really excellent. It's a firm 28 and I had trouble hooking it myself (you can see I missed the middle eye, oops). Once it was on it was pretty comfortable. But I opted to order a 30E instead. I'm not doing cardio and the band is wide enough that the top was digging into my lats. That may or may not have been uncomfortable at a later time. I don't need the ultra snug band since I'm not running, jumping, climbing trees in this. This went back, I'll review the 30E more thoroughly since I'll be using it beforehand. Read more 120 more words
I don't know if they have changed their bands since my last purchase, but the band in this bra, IMO, isn't suitable for people with a large thorax amplitude - I mean the difference in circumference when you breath in and out. I used to wear the 30E for horse riding and it wasn't always comfortable, but the band was perfect, or even too loose, at rest.
I agree, this band size isn't suitable for me at all. It was comfortable at my underbust, but I am about 36" around my upper lat and pecs. I have to be able to flare and rotate and all that goodness when I lift and a 28" band that was that high just isn't going to accommodate that flex comfortably, if at all. I didn't try since I didn't want to hurt myself or pull a hook since I was returning it. That is one really nice thing about the Shock Absorber Gym Bra, there's that other portion of the band that can be adjusted differently to fit those flares. It's nice.
This bra is just the most comfortable bra! I got this bra from a friend with some others for trying out different sizes. I am so glad she sent me this one! Even though the 28FF I own does fit, this one is great too! I do get a little (just a very little!) Quadboobs in it, but it feels so secure, even without the racerneck! And due to sizing down the wires aren't that much too wide anymore! Wuhuu! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" />
This Panache sports bra in 28F did not fit. The cups were SO wide, it felt super wrong.
The wire felt like it cut way far back into my side, almost to my back. I have no padding so far back there, where the cup ended-- just skin and bones-- it was incredibly painful.
The band was fairly tight, although I could close it. I tried it with an extender - with two extenders, to judge if I should try band size 30 -- and more room in the band really didn't fix the problem at all. The cups were the problem. They were SO wide...
This ...is not the first Panache bra that I felt this way about -- their T shirt bra also felt grossly wrong shaped & wide, exactly like this. But other Panache styles feel perfect; I own a few balconettes in 28F that work really well.
Perhaps this shape works better for girls with more soft tissue on top? That squish outwards when confined to a sports bra? My boobs just don't work like that. They are super pendulous, like teardrops. And outside the boobs, I am skin and bones. I simply have no padding, unless the wire lands in front of me, not to my sides.
So this shape was just very wrong for me personally.
Not even trying any other size. Read more 119 more words
I have the same issue with back I am skin and bones I ask store helps me to fitting and they say this is my body I have issues under my bust too can’t breathe. (. 30) back and J cup I think the cups need more roomy more covered.don’t give up its wonderful bra when you find the right size.try one more size in cup and in band.
During my journey to find a bra that fits, I also decided to find a sports bra that fits. I decided to compare the top 3 companies for sports bras recommended on r/ABraThatFits: Panache, Freya, and Shock Absorber. My main goal was to find a sports bra suitable for running. For reference, I'm projected, FOB, center full, narrow roots, petite (4'11"), and normal bra size UK 28F.
This is my second Panache non-wired sports bra review, and it was purchased through Poshmark in gently used condition. After getting my first Panache sports bra, I knew I needed to have another one to rotate for running. I love the color ...combination on this bra compared to the black one I have. The colors are very clean and vibrant. Hopefully, the white doesn't get discolored with use.
I love the fit and shape of this bra! The band and cups are true to size and provide a very uplifting shape. I find the wireless bra to be more comfortable for running compared to the underwire Panache sports bra, since my ribs are bony. This bra is great at wicking away sweat and holds the ladies in place!
That's really pretty. I size down in the wired version from 34E to 34DD because I dont have enough top fullness to come even close to.filling it out and with my narrow roots the wires arent a problem a size down. Is this one as full on top as the wired??
confused This one is not as full on top as the wired, which is why it works so well for me! I can wear my normal UK size in this sports bra.
I tried to size down for the wired version too, but the cups ended up being too small. I ended up purchasing my normal size in the wired version again after seeing a really good sale on Amazon just to try it one more time. I'm hoping it will fit if I use the racerback, but we'll see! At least there's free returns with Amazon.
Its structured enough that if its empty some who would know lol as long as it supports you!
I saw in Amazon this bra in HH and J cups do you hear anything?
The band is nice and snug. The cup has an even fullness, but it is not as full on top as the underwire version. If you like the underwire version, but it is too full on top, this bra will work for you.
My underbust is 26" and I usually wear 28 bands on the tightest hooks. This bra fits well as a normal bra if I wear it on the tightest hooks, but the band isn't tight enough to help a lot with exercise since it doesn't eliminate enough bounce. The straps also don't adjust that much, but they come with a convenient hook to convert them into racerback straps, which is useful for the straps being slightly too long on their own. It's a good bra overall, it just doesn't support me enough for intense activity because I need a 26 band. I can still wear it as a normal bra or for low-impact activities and it's very comfortable that way. The fabric has an enjoyable buttery soft texture.
Hi maraki, I got this early in my bra journey so was still testing out different sizes :) Back then this was a little too small in the cup and band for me but I hadn't figured out my actual size yet - so not the bra's fault!
Do you measure?I understand you it’s very difficult I try a lot of sizes ,as you can see.I use some calculator and put me inn32HH
maraki At first I used this: https://www.abrathatfits.org/calculator.php, but now I just update my measurements on bratabase every so often. Bra calculators gave me a rough estimate, then it's more research (e.g. bratabase reviews) and trial & error (i.e. trying different sizes). I learnt a lot about chest shape (e.g. FOT, centre full, short roots) and bra styles (e.g. balcony) to find my best/ better fitting bras - bratabase has been super helpful :)
Yes I see but I use boodyboo calculator in inc and lumilingerie in cm. they put me in 32HH I sent pictures to stores for helping but they confused me.I buying what they say I thought it was ok but after that something it’s not right if you see I had trying many sizes I believe that iam ok in this size I hope
maraki I'm glad you've found your size! If a bra doesn't fit quite right and you're unsure what's wrong, you can upload photos here on bratabase and ask for fitting help from other users :) My favourite tip is to, 'scoop and swoop' to help the breasts settle into the bra properly.
For this sports bra, my current best fit is probably 28FF/ 28G, but a few months ago (when I had a little more weight) a 30FF was perfect. My latest bratabase measurements are: Ribcage = 68.5/69.5/70.5 cm and Breast Perimeter 27.0 cm.
It’s very strong i use your calculator and put me 30 HH and J .I feel 30 tight and 32 after use not feel good what I do I don’t know the sister size is not fit same
maraki By 'not feel good', do you mean that the 32HH band feels too loose after wearing? If so, you could try the sister size 30J and use a bra extender until the band loosens up a bit. Black bras tend to run a little tighter/ smaller so might also be something to take into consideration.
I buy again 30 J to give a try I think you made wrong with your measurements 27 your bust ? I think 28 G you must try it
maraki Good luck, hope it works out for you! I have one 28G Panache Sports bra which fits quite well, I think a 28FF could fit even better - will have to try :)
You are like me we are confused a lot with sizes when I get I write it 30J
This is the only bra I've found that works for running (no bouncing or chafing!) but it cuts into my armpits a tiny bit more than I'd like. Still my default sports bra though.
I love the fit and shape of this bra! I found the band and cups very true to size. I was worried the lack of underwire would mean the bra wouldn't give my breasts any shape, but the cups are molded and ...provided a very nice uplifting shape! The wireless bra is more comfortable and preferable to me compared to the underwire Panache sports bra which put more pressure on my ribs.
I tested it by running in Texas 90F heat, and it wicked away sweat very well. I actually ran my fastest time, since I didn't have to stifle my movements to keep my boobs from bouncing like I was doing previously. Though I did have veeery slight movement in my slightly smaller breast. Regardless, this is way better than the compression sports bras I used previously, and I ended up purchasing a second one for running.
i never thought i'd have a sports bra that actually works! it's extremely comfortable while still being firm, and it also gives a flattering shape so i'd even be happy wearing it under regular clothes. it does a great job of minimizing movement and running is so much easier now that i don't have to worry about my bra falling off. the design is pretty cute too. i really recommend this model to anyone of a similar size that has trouble exercising with regular bras or needs more support from a sports bra!
Hi it’s very lovely color but I think it’s a little small in the cup
maraki really? thanks for letting me know. what seems wrong with it? it's so comfy!
In second pic it saw bust issues I believe have a big journey to this bra I have in many years from 30H to 30J now and if you notice your side you understand what I mean.if you can try one up
There are already so many reviews of this bra, so I won’t make it very long.
As usual with Panache sports bras, the cups run large and the band runs tight. I’m wearing 30F in most bras, but the cups of this 28F fit well. I need to use an extender for the band, though.
My Stats: FOB, projected, close set, firm and dense tissue. Size: Normally 28FF, got this in a 28F. I really liked this print and the price was too good to pass up so I opted for the smaller size
Bra Stats Appearance: cosmic print sports bra
Cups: good projection, I feel pretty secure although the cups are small. Quadding on my bigger size, pretty good fit on my smaller size.
Band: very tight, I should have sized up to a 30 band.
Gore: gore is tall and doesn't quite tack
Straps: the distance is fine. I wish the straps were longer. Straps are of medium comfort. I wore this on a trip and had some bad chafing when wearing a backpack.
Shape Under Clothing: For a sports bra, the shape isn't nearly as important to me. That being said, I am surprised I got a nice shape. Not super uniboob or super separte either.
This bra is so comfortable and you can find it in so beautiful prints and different colors that it’s hard to buy just one. It fits wonderfully on my bigger side. I have a little bit of empty space on my small one but it’s not noticeable to other people because the cup is moulded and the top stays flat against my chest. This 28 band is snug as a sports bra should be but not to tight. A 30 band would be to big on the loosest hook. It gives an amazing support! You can do some serious workout without feeling every single bounce of your breasts. I won’t wear anything else for my workouts.
I love the cosmic design. I wish they had a wider size range.
