I have 3 wireless Panache sport bras at the moment, and the fit is the same in all of them, only some variation in the band length. In summary, all of the 3 have shorter bands than the wired versions I´ve owned. The only complaint I have is that when using the J-hook with the straps (straps crossed at the back), the straps don´t adjust long enough for me. I don´t usually have an issue with strap length at all. Straps are ok when I don´t use the J-hook.
ETA. I have made a removable alteration to the band (see pics!): I sewed an extra eye (3x3) part to ...the band. This gives about 1,5 inches / 4 cm more length to the band.
I will copy here the review I wrote for the purple version 28F:
Great bra but do size up in the band!! This one is purple/violet with white stripe on top.
My boobs are: wide + tall root, shallow. My "usual" size: 28F.
I have had the wired version in 30E and 28F (black, pink, purple, turqouise, raspberry colourways) (oh dear, how many I´ve owned!!!). 28F started to feel a bit too tight at some point so I sized up to 30E. I couldn´t even close this 28F, first I had to go get an extender!! So I do think it is tighter in the band than the wired version.
Other than that, it is a great bra https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Feels very supportive and comfortable and gives great lift! I think that in my case, it fits just as well as the wired one. "Cups" are wide enough and the shape is awesome. Read more 169 more words

This is a cup size bigger than I normally wear, and fits so much better. I think ideally I need more immediate projection, so the band sometimes moves down and I have to adjust it back up. I wish it came up higher and covered more because the support is not so great for me at the top, but using the racer back clip helps. Otherwise, the best sports bra I've tried, and I've tried almost all that are available in my size.
update: too big now https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
Whoever designed Panache Sports bras should be given an award. I love these things. This one just is too tight of a band for me. All the fit problems don't really matter due to the design. Too wide of a gore? Padded underwires don't hurt! Not enough projection? It's a tall bra, and the padded wires don't dig into my ribs!
I really love this sports bra. But I needed a 28E instead (which I got later). I had some empty space at the top of the bra cup, which really wouldn't be noticeable to anyone but me. I wore this once running and had no issues with bounce, but decided that the empty space bothered me too much and ordered the 28E. The band is nice and firm. Overall, highly recommend.
This might be my favorite bra of all time. I got this for marching band camp, which includes 100+°F heat, constant running, dancing, marching, and stretching. I wore the same black Panache Sport every day, 8 hours a day, for 3 weeks straight...and it did a fantastic job. On top if that, now I wear it as a regular t-shirt bra because it gives such an amazing shape. I could sing sweet poetry about this beauty.
Pros: Fantastic support Underwires are dipped in silicone, so they feel like they aren't even there Padded straps J-hook for a racer-back option Wonderfully firm band Incredibly rounded shape Looks great underneath tight shirts Durable Wings are high enough to contain tissue, but low enough not to get in the way
Cons: A little pricey, but totally worth it
The cups do run a little big, I can wear a 28F very well as a 28FF, and the band is nice and firm on my 25 inch ribcage.
Best sports bra I've ever worn, especially when the back straps are joined to form a racer back. I jumped around and had such minimal bouncing it was like another user said, she forgot she had boobs! It's super comfortable and the shape it gives is amazing, lifted up and still separated. Not the uniboob you get from the compression sports bras. The underwires are hidden so it still looks sleek enough to wear on its own. It looks great under a t-shirt, like a normal bra! I got three of these in different colors and it may be my favorite bra purchase yet! The 28F is a tinsy bit small for my cups as I'm in between a 28F/FF, but not enough to make the fit uncomfortable or unsightly. And I think a 28FF would have been too big. There's a little spillage by my armpits, and when in an exaggerated racer back position, I pop out the top a little bit. But again, hardly noticeable and won't be an issue once I can start exercising regularly again.
I had this bra in 28FF but it became a little too big for me. My normal size in other bras is 28F. I think I´m actually between sizes here, these is minor quadboobing if I pull my shoulders back, but it will go away if I lengthen the straps. I actually can still get away with 28FF or 28F. 28FF also feels secure and supportive, I only have some dents in the cup of my smaller boob.
I think this is the world´s best sports bra. It is very supportive and pretty and gives probably the best shape ever for me! The shape is even better than any ...other bra, including Ewa Michalak, round and uplifted!
The band is quite tight, When I tried 30 it was too big for me, but nowadays 28 feels like its better to wear it with an extender at first. I can close it and it is not too uncomfortable, but I prefer extender.
EDIT. An now, after only a couple of months, I get definitely quadboob https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> Other than that, the bra is still okay, and wearable, I guess.
The band is super snug on this bra and it feels fabulous. This bra provides so much lift and gives a great shape. It also cuts down on bouncing and I am able to run pretty rough with minimal bounce. Definitely much better than my Freya Active Underwired Sports Bra (4002) in 28E and 28F.
The back has the option to make it a racer back which makes it quite versatile as well!
This is a fantastically supportive sports bra, and gives epic lift and shape. Unfortunately, the molded cups are not in agreement with the shape of my breasts. The cups are made for women with narrow, projected, tall-ish breasts, while mine are very wide, very shallow, and "short".
That said, I love this bra so much that I now own several in my new size of 28FF, having migrated out of 28F.
The band is VERY firm around my 27.5 inch ribcage.
The Panache Sports bra has some seriously high quality construction. I love the cushioned straps, gel-encased wires, and moulded cups. As sports bras go, it's not so bad looking.
Sadly, I don't think they designed it for shallow, wide-rooted breasts. The fit isn't the worst, but I definitely get some quad boob and side boob. My smaller boob doesn't fill out the cup as well as I would like. The gore does come up pretty high, so that doesn't help with the quad boob.
When I go running with it, the Panache Sports bra does a fair job of reducing bounce. It is a vast improvement compared to most non cup-sized sports bras, but it's not quite like the Lynx sports bra. Of course, this could be because the Panache Sports bra isn't quite right for my shape.
I wore ill-fitting bras for years but it was nothing compared to the torture of wearing ill-fitting sport bras. Oh, the shame and discomfort of wearing brassiere-like bras that minimized my boobs and made them look pointy, flat or sadly pointed toward the ground. Discovering the Panache Sport bra last year was like a miracle.
The band is tight. I was actually uncomfortable wearing the bra the first couple of times and I wondered if I shouldn't have bought a 30E. But now, a few weeks later, it's nicely broken in. I still wear it on the first hook and it's snug without being too tight. Perfect. ...It would besnug enough for ladies in need of a 26 back.
The straps are great. On the wide side and nicely padded. Very comfortable. I often use the raceback option on the 2 32Ds I have because it gives me better support but I wouldn't attempt it on the 28F. I have to lengthen the straps as far as they can go on the 32Ds and the pressure on my shoulders is on the verge of being uncomfortable so it wouldn't work at all with the 28F.
But it doesn't need to work since the support the bra gives me wearing it the regular way is outstanding. I'm a horsewoman and riding is a high-impact sport but I can't feel any bounce in this bra. It's amazing.
The cups are perfectly filled. I'd says they ran very true to size. I had very some very slight quadboobing going on with my 32Ds and they were indeed a half-cup too small for me.
And the (shallow) reason I love this bra so much: perfect, rounded shape from the side. From a sport bra. Heaven. The shape is so great that this bra can be worn as a regular T-shirt bra as long as the neckline isn't too low.
The band runs snug on this one. I find the cups seem to be a little large- I get wrinkling in the right
Because of the design, it's hard to tell how the underwires fit- I think the center gore may be a little too wide for me.
As far as the design- I like that the cups are moulded, so I don't get any nipple show through (especially when it's chilly). This bra is supportive, but because it's thicker, it also feels hotter, and it would not be my bra of choice for running in the summer. (It's better for the gym or when it's cold out). ...I find that I can't use the racerback hook- (you can't adjust how high the racerback will be on you)- and the bra digs into my shoulders when I wear it.
Final verdict: it's good, but I think I still prefer my shock absorber runs over this, even with the nipple show through. The support is probably better on that one for me, and I prefer having the racerback option. I'll still use this one, when I'm headed to the gym.
What would you tell a friend with similar boobs about this bra?
GO GET PLENTY OF THEM!
I want to LIVE in this bra!! It's a great fit; this must be sports bra heaven! It looks good under tops. I haven't tried the racer back option yet, but I don't formally need it (maybe just under some tops?). The band is fairly tight; only buy the 28 band if you're a 'true' 28. I love the tight band on my 25.5in underbust. It's nice and tight, and the cups hold my breasts like they're made of china.
I just ran with it, and there's just about no bounce! I ...ran without the J-hook making it a racer back (I haven't even found that yet, it's supposed to have it), which is supposed to be used for extra support. My boobies weren't going anywhere... Can I have one of these for my bum as well please? THAT was the bouncy part on this run. According to reviews the J-hook reduces any remaining bounce.... I can't judge the difference between zero bounce and zero bounce. Some also say it's uncomfortable in the neck when worn with the J-hook, but I'm not bothered by that; I simply let out the straps and have a quite comfy racerback bra which sits comfortably between my shoulderblades. To resolve the neck issues some people have with it Panache would have to reduce the adjustability of the straps and make the J-hook lower on the back. They should put J-hooks on more bras.
I've had the OLD model Shock Absorber Active Multi Sports (4490) , and never bought the new ones because the double hook in the back annoyed me: the bit between shoulder blades became wider. This is uncomfortable, as it poked my shoulder blades when moving. Then I had the Shock Absorber Ultimate Run Bra (B5044) , same problem to less extent, and it has pretty good compression-support. I 'outgrew' that one though (and the old shock absorbers have grown with my boobs, now they're yoga bras) The Panache beats any one of them by far, and I love the shoulder comfort. No annoying straps on/against my shoulder blades! I shall be ordering more of these to keep up with my active lifestyle.
Oh, and it says 'hand wash only'.... but all my bras say that. It survived the machine just fine.
Got it in black and white as well; both have slightly stretchier fabric for some reason.
