I think the lace design is really beautiful so it's a shame it didn't quite fit.
It kinda pressed into my sternum and the tops of the cups weren't filled. I feel like if my breasts, which are wide-set with even fullness, were either closer set or more centre full then the cups would be filled.
It fits well on the front. It could be that the band would be too tight when wearing it longer. Reason for returning it too the store is that my breasts are looking a bit too pointy in it.
The Ana plunge was my first bra after I figured out what the right size was. Gore always dug into my sternum a little but it was better than any other non-plunge bra I've tried. Band is now too loose due to weight loss and due to discovering Polish bras I stopped wearing these. Altogether a very good option if you're close set and need a plunge.
My best fitting bra so far. When i first put it on it feels a bit tight but not overly so (also getting used to a tighter fit to provide support). My breasts are a tiny bit closer together than the bra is constructed for but the difference is not enough to make it uncomfortable
This 30FF is too big for me but it's better than the 30F for the fact that the bottom of the cups now have space for my breasts. Because there is more projection, I can actually get the underwire to sit in my IMF. The band and underwire are much more comfortable in this than the 30F. Otherwise, the two sizes share the same issues, this bra has even more empty space in the top cups and the underwire is much too wide. In this one I do notice that the underwire pokes me under the arms.
If this bra was the same shape, but just had the extra fabric pulled in to the center, that would be closer to perfect. (There is a photo of me adjusting to make it this way). Again, I'm surprised that this is recommended for FOB but still didn't work for me. This is the bra that made me think I need to look for cups with a lot of projection at the bottom.
This bra didn't work for me, the band us too big, and the cup shape is too wide, shallow and fob. I had wrinkles at the bottom that pushed the cup down and the top of the cup cut into my boob creating a weird shape.
This bra fits me quite well.....with the exception being that the gore is too high. I'm getting a pre-owned one, so that I can wear it around and see if the gore bothers me. I don't want to spend $50 on an experiment! FOB, center-full, close-set. splayed, wide/tall roots.
I love this bra! The band is a bit loose but still comfortable, so if I don't need a lot of support this is my go-to, even with quad boob, and I love the low gore.
About me: dense, center full and close set, bottom full but with tall, sloping roots, so functionally even in some ways, narrow and projected.
This bra had too much projection at the apex and closed off too abruptly for me, so I couldn't fill the cup and it cut in to my breast tissue on top. The fabric and detailing are beautiful.
This bra was a slight shape mismatch for me, the wires were a bit narrow and the gore was uncomfortable. The embroidery was visible through my shirt, so it’s not a discreet bra.
I was really happy about this bra. It's a nice lacy black bra. The band feels smooth and the lace is interesting. I decently fill out the top of the cups again despite not being FOT, but the wires go below my IMF on the bottom and sides just a cm or two. I just read hugsforyourjugs' "Sizing Up For Depth" article and I think it's me. Felt very cute so it's time to share some pictures! A little wrinkling on my small side, and the lace flares a bit. ETA: after a couple hours I'm really popping out of the top, and it's all I can see now. It gives a great round shape, but hurts my back some. Might need to think about whether to keep it as I only have a couple of bras that "fit" so far and it would be nice to have "enough" bras. I know - patience https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" />
Love the shape of these, but the straps are fairly thin and dig in to my shoulders so it's not the most comfortable. For that reason I don't end up wearing it often.
The band is snug, so even though I was a 28G at time of fitting, we went with the 30FF because it's so snug. This was my best fit option while breastfeeding (9 months at the time). I'm close set, full on bottom, and center full, though I get melon-round when full of milk. I'm projected, too.
What I love: How this looks under shirts! It's round, lifted, and smooth. I don't get hot in it, feel like I'm locked in but the fabric stretches to accommodate my full moments and inserting Freemie cups for pumping. Straps are fully adjustable. I can also pull the cup and strap down ...for nursing. Even though I have all this lift, I don't get crazy cleavage or feel like I'm sticking out there. I actually get a slimming effect with this!
What I don't like: Coming from stretchy, too big of bands, a snug band took some adjustment. The gore is higher than I'd like, so it can irritate on first day of wear after washing, but it feels better on subsequent wears. I also wish the elastic was a little more comfortable. I ordered this in a size too small. It looks like it’s made well I think this would work on bottom fullness better then someone full on top. I’m usually 30G so I know it didn’t fit due to that and it really couldn’t accommodate my center/upper fullness. Besides quad boob effect it almost wanted to make me less round not necessarily pointy but somewhere in the middle. It also seemed like it wanted to push me east west. Again this can very well be the size but I’m skeptical to go up because I’m not sure in the correct size it will accommodate me. I’m definitely projected and I think I have slightly narrow roots as well as center fullness. I think I’m functionally FOT but I’m not an expert just learning myself with trial and error.
I marked this bra as fitting despite it not being perfect. The most obvious issue is the very tight and non-stretchy top lace section - there's actually some cutting in going on here, which rarely happens for me unless I'm wearing obviously too small a size. Trying on this bra made me question the shape characteristics I thought I had down (short and even-but-functionally-FoB), but reading the reviews tells me this is a well-known fit issue with this bra, at least in this size range. It creates a shape that's not super flattering, which is fine - I just wear it under loose tops.
The other thing that prevents ...this bra from being perfect is the vertical seam right below the strap. The issue is a little hard to describe, but I think that seam is too tight. When I raise my arm at all, it cuts in, creating a strange shape - an in-cup side quadboob? Not sure what to call it. It happens regardless of how loose I make the straps. Anyway, it doesn't hurt and isn't that much of a problem; it's just a bit strange.
I guess more room in the cup could probably fix both of these things. Am I just in denial that this 30FF is actually too small? I don't know. It is a bit too wide already, though.
The best thing about this bra is how soft it is. I wish all bras were made of whatever fabric this is. (Seriously, Panache, what's with all the scratchy fabrics? What was wrong with this kind?) Even though it's pretty much in my armpits, it doesn't chafe too badly. It's very comfortable despite the fit issues.
Edit: I'm now pretty sure it runs smaller in the cups than other Panache bras. Like significantly. While my other Panache 30FFs are fitting me now with no discomfort, Emily squeezes uncomfortably on my larger size, even with the straps and band loosened all the way. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> Read more 226 more words
Not enough projection for me, and the straps are too wide. Otherwise, the fit is good and can fill out the cups. However, it look is pointy, which I'm not a fan of.
Fit Issue: While the band is one size too small for comfort, this bra just would NOT stay in my IMF. I have projected breasts and this bra had nothing in the bottom (see my finger? there's no breast tissue under there!). Not sure if this is a band, wire, or cup issue, but it made the bra a no-go.
So... I suppose I shouldn't judge a bra on its first try-on because, surprisingly, Jasmine has grown on me!
Right out of the package, I was disenchanted with the rough, nearly-scratchy material that constructs the cups. It felt cheap & thin which, for the retail price, was disappointing. Trying it on for the first time, I immediately noticed that the gore dug in REALLY hard. The wires in general are incredibly stiff, & I dreaded the idea of readjusting the underwires so that it didn't jab into my ribs & sternum all day long. I seriously considered returning Jasmine to Amazon, but alas, out of laziness I threw it ...in the back of my dresser & promptly forgot about it for a couple months.
While reorganizing my bras I rediscovered it & figured I would give it another shot because, why not? And I was pleasantly surprised! I found that the gore honestly wasn't painful after a couple minutes wear & the underwires didn't dig into my ribs throughout the day. I also decided that I really like the stretch lace in top of the cups! My breasts tend to grow & shrink along with my hormonal cycle, so having a bra that can comfortably accommodate my size during ANY day of the month is a huge plus. The stretch lace also accomodates for my assemty very well! There is a tiny bit of puckering along the seam where the cup meets the lace, but it's hardly noticeable.
At first I wasn't crazy about the profile Jasmine gives me, & to be honest, the extremely projected & almost pointy look I get still isn't my favorite. However, under heavier shirts, the uplifted look is kinda nice. The straps adjust long enough for my torso & the bottom & center projection is decent. The wires are adequately narrow (as far as UK bras go, anyways).
Ultimately, it isn't my favorite bra, but it definitely isn't bad! And although I am still unimpressed with the fabric, the houndstooth pattern is absolutely adorable! Admittedly, it's what drew me to Jasmine in the first place & it doesn't disappoint! It's nice to have a bit of a break from the frilly, flowery bras that overwhelm the market. My shape: mid-height, forward-facing, very close-set, super side-full teardrop (ski-jump with no jump, just a straight slope) with tall full-but-shallow upper roots, even vertical fullness, wide side roots, lots of immediate projection but average-to-small overall projection, and allover very firm tissue that doesn't easily take other shapes.
This review is for the adorable houndstooth colorway. It is navy and white, not black and white as I first thought, and while I do like it anyway, the surprise combined with the transparent nature of the fabric (which changes the apparent color when wearing it) makes me like it less. Still cute, though! It only has the one organza bow at ...the center front, and I like the simplicity.
To start, the 30 band on the loosest hooks was great, and today I measure a snug 72/BTT 66.5 cm. I tried it on upside down and backwards just to make sure because I need 28s in Freya and most of the Panache and Cleo I've had.
The wires are pretty wide and hug most of my fullness well. The ever-troublesome shallow root tissue that starts at the front of my armpit and extends back to my shoulder blades in a flat curve (like the Nike swoosh) is disguised underneath the very tall wings, which might easily be too tall for some ladies, but which I like and had no trouble with.
I don't think the Jasmine and I are going to work out shape-wise, though. For one, the cups have more overall projection than I need and the apex, which on these is right at the T seam with the lace, is way too tall for me. The immediate projection is great though - I felt supported and no wrinkles from too much, and no buckling or riding down from too little. The lace panel closes too quickly for me, which means that the bra anticipates a much shorter root and a more projected shape on top than I have. Some of this might be solved by sizing down to a 30F, or more likely a 30E, but then I'd lose my wire width in the bargain, and I think then the top edge of the lace panel would actually press in and cause some dramatic quad-boob.
The center bridge/gore was probably the narrowest I've had from a cup this tall in a long while, but since I suspect I have a hint of natural symmastia, I think anything short of overlapping the wires will be a problem no matter what I try. The shape of the bridge is pretty close to my IMF in the center, which is usually not quite the same as the standard U-curve. It's extremely tall, though, and that is the other part of the issue: it's a full 2 cm higher than I usually tolerate, and at least 3 more than where comfort would actually dictate. The wires are pretty firm, too, and together that makes this a deal breaker, even apart from the other issues.
The straps are narrow, which will be an issue for some ladies, but since my boobs are mostly self-supporting it doesn't bother me. They are quite far apart, though, about as bad as my 28G - Freya » Patsy Padded Half Cup Bra (1223) clones, and I can see them chafing a bit on a hot day. Read more 445 more words
