I love this bra! Not sure about the colour on me but the fit is great. For reference I am low set, I think even fullness and averagely to slightly projected. The Clara fits me pretty well so when I heard the Petra was similar I was intrigued - and I think I prefer the Petra! This might be partly because I own the Clara in 30F (it's a little bit too small) - but I do think the Petra's gore is much more comfortable - Clara was digging into my sternum and would leave angry red marks (angrier than the normal marks/indents I get). The gore on ...Petra is quite a bit shorter than the Clara equivalent so that explains the increased comfort levels. The light lining is very cosy, it feels a tiny bit thicker than my Cleo Mimi and Freya Patsy and is softer than these too as well. I'm looking forward to seeing it in the new black colourway for A/W17 and would love it if Panache brought out a pale pink version (more flattering than beige/cappuccino on my very pale skin tone). All in all very happy and comfortable https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
EDIT: Unfortunately the excitement above was short lived... I noticed the Petra was giving me a sad, droopy upside-down 7 profile; I'm inbetween sizes (30G too big, 30FF too small) and/or the bra is the wrong shape for my FOT boobs. Apparently it's good for FOB shapes. I still love the way the cut looks and the design in general, so I'll probably try the black colourway when it comes out in the misguided hope that it might magically work for me... but realistically I know it won't ;_; Read more 183 more words
My shape: tallish roots, low set, averagely projected, even. This is currently my best fitting bra - it encloses my boobs without any quadding or gaping. My breasts don't feel compressed at the apex either, which is something I often experience with molded bras ( but take this with a pinch of salt because my other bras are in 30F....it might just be a better cup size for me!). The cups are covered in a silky microfiber with lace overlay on the outer corners of the cups. The wings of the bra are made from the same soft microfiber and I find the Elise very comfy - I ...wore it for a day of travelling and forgot I had it on! I also own the Ardour, which is apparently similar, and the Elise isn't quite up to it's high quality in terms of materials and finishing, but it feels good, it's a bit cheaper, and the very pale blue isn't noticable under white t shirts, although the trim at the top of the cups does show a little in tight tops. I also find the Elise less projected than the Ardour. Read more 84 more words
Band length felt perfect; the straps didn't dig too badly. Quite itchy at the bottom of the cups. The gore width suited my somewhat wide-set breasts. The reinforcement at the armpits was really great. Unfortunately, the seams were very high profile (it'd take a lot of layers to hide them) and the cups were simply too small for my right boob. Even the stretch lace (which was nice, but less soft than the Jasmine) didn't prevent quadding.
I bought this bra because I wanted a Tshirt bra that was somewhat minimizing, didn't add bulk, and didn't have a lot of cleveage. Unfortunately this bra gives me quadboob. I guess I will try a 30G and see how that goes, but this may just be the wrong cut for me.
Love4Pollinators I just purchased the porcelain plunge instead, because I was thinking the same thing. But I got it in a 30G and now I'm wondering if I should have gotten 30FF instead. :-/
elfandkiwi Considering many plunges are shallow, I think your 30G selection was perfect. :-) But, if it isn't, you've helped many of us by providing measurements, fit information, and photos. We thank you for aiding bra science :-) :-)
Love4Pollinators thanks, I'm hoping that it will be the right fit!
I really like this bra, lightly padded but not a pushup bra, gives a nice round shape. Gives lift but not cleavage (at least on me). Reminds me of the plain T Shirt bras I used to wear when I could buy them in a store, but cuter. Gore lies flat on me, which is not true of the Freya Deco which is the style I wear most. This is my first Panache bra and I really like it.
1. Center shallow cups 2. Twice as much distance between cups (gore width) as other bras 3. Single layer, thin cotton wing 4. Narrow straps (.6") 5. 6x2 fasteners
This bra, although very soft cotton, pushes my center-full, close-set breasts to the sides. And, the band tugs rather than comfortably supports.
Short, projected, slightly narrow, center full, close set, even breasts....
Olivia has lovely fabric. Not only is the color gorgeous, but also the fabric is moderately soft. Tonal polka dots dance across the lower cup and lace stretches across the top. The band runs a bit shorter than other Cleo/Panache 30s. I added a full exteneder to reduce wire distortion. Still, I was not able to sit near the wire. The immediate projection was not quite enough. The stretch fabric across the top of the cups can accommodate a variety of shapes. Because I have short breasts, They are largely empty on me.
I would appreciate wider straps, a wider band, and a narrower gore.
Very short, projected, even, somewhat narrow, close-set breasts...
I'm embarrassed. I ordered, from Amazon, seven bras (6 Panache plunges), and all of them will be returned. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":-(" />
Because gores are always too wide, I thought plunges might offer relief to my always stabbed-by-the-wire breasts. Still, the low gore is too wide. Within 5 minutes, a deep red mark developed on my most center-full breasts. No, thank you. Admittedly, I could narrow the low gore, but that alteration has not worked well for me.
The fabrics and wires are supportive. The cups, depite their height, fit well. The cup edge does not cut into my upper ...roots, although this cutting into my upper roots is common in other bras. And, the narrow straps are fluted to create a more stable and beautiful strap. But, the wires...! Panache and Cleo are officially banned from my "potentials" list. There is little padding and they bite. Curvy Kate and Comexim aren't this painful when the cup is two sizes too small.
The fabric: I feel like I'm wearing curtain sheers, and not in a good way. And, if you have prominent nipples, they are on full display. My sincere and heartfelt apologies to the Amazon employee/s who practically ran while assembling this order. They will run again to restock six Panache bras. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":-(" /> Read more 120 more words
This is my first panache bra and Iam really In love with how comfortable this bra is https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> it is soft, supportive and sooooo pretty!! The lace is elastic.. Wow!! Super nice!! The lift is natural as the shape it gives, rounded but natural. Very true to size, the straps adjust all the way, and the band is very comfortable. I think this bra would be great for full on top boobs because of the elastic lace on top of the cups. Love the fit!!
The cups of this bra are very stretchy, so I feel like it's unlikely to cut into breast tissue on the top. It's also easy to adjust your breasts within it because of the cups' stretch. That being said, it may not be a good choice for someone with soft breast tissue.
This bra is really comfortable, but not quite my style. I would repurchase it again if it was on sale.
As far as fit goes, it would be excellent in a cup size down. Otherwise, I think this is a pretty good bra.
After wearing Frederick of Hollywood Corset bras in 32F for years, this seemed like a much better fit. But the wires come up too high under my arms, and the gore digs into my sternum. It's not projected enough for me, and I really need a 28 band. I like my Cleo bras much better because this bra's wires are too wide.
I'm still trying to figure out what kind of bra and what size I need. I tried this because I was looking for something fairly smooth under light colored t shirts. This does pretty well in that regard. I have touching boobs and so the gore is always a problem and this only sort of worked in the gore. The back rode up on me. I don't think this bra had enough immediate projection and the cups went back too far under my under arms. The lift was poor .I think I need a 28 and a larger cup with narrower wires.
The cut may be too center-shallow. Sigh.
