About my shape/fit: My recommended starting point was 32DD/E or 34D/DD. I teeter on the edge of both band size and cup size, depending on time of the month, brand, etc. I would describe my shape as horizontally center full, slightly wide set, lots of soft tissue from weight loss. I think I’m even fullness but functionally full on bottom. I have immediate projection that I need to accommodate, but overall I seem to be fairly shallow-average in terms of projection.
Currently I’m trying to find more about my root width and height through trial and error. As of now I would say short-average height and average width.
For the most ...part, 32DD/34D fits me best, but some brands and styles I fit 32E better. So I always try to order both sizes when I can.
Panache Envy: I purchased the envy in 32DD and 32E. The 32DD was closest to my size, but it seems to be a shape mismatch - too narrow and too projected for my breasts. See my review [32DD - Panache » Envy Balconnet Bra (7285)] for more on the envy one cup down. I took more notes on the 32DD since it was a closer fit.
On the 32E, the wires were a little too wide, and the cups were too big. The gore was tall and digging into the center of my sternum. Wrinkling on top, bottom, sides. I wish this in 32DD worked for me! Read more 131 more words
HOW IT FEELS: The cups feel a tad too narrow, even though Bratabase shows 32e and 32f as the same cup width. The gore feels a little better, but I after trying 4 sizes I conclude that Envy is a little too projected. I can fill it due to soft tissue, but when I lie down there is just so much wrinkling that a somewhat shallower bra may be better for me.
ABOUT ME: Tall roots, very close set (less than a pinkie width between breasts), slightly center full, even vertical fullness (possibly functionally FOT due to tall roots). Average for projection, root width, and tissue softness/firmness. I think ...my tissue is soft enough to where shallower bras can work ok for me if they're more open on top, or taller cups.

Bra is pretty but the cups don't work for me. Tried in a 30D, 32D and now a 32E. Runs small and the 32E fits but I get the cone shape. Center full and close set, I think the lace just doesn't support me enough in the middle. I can def stay in a 30 since I'm on the tightest hook on a 32. I may try a 30E.
I will be returning this one. I had a torpedo boob shape, which is not the look I am going for. Apart from that, the gore seemed to ride up high and I couldn’t quite fill out all of the cups. There was some wrinkling on top. The bra also seemed a bit scratchy where the lace met my skin.
The bra is very pretty - because of the seams it does show underneath some clothing but not all. It does give a somewhat pointy shape but I actually like that. The top lace is very stretchy - helps with fit. The gore lays flat on me but I feel the underwires are uncomfortable in my IMF (I'm wearing it lower down). The straps are a bit wide and occasionally will rub against my armpit.
I usually wear a 30E-32DD, immediate projection/bottom full, and I heard that this runs small in the cup, so I sized up to 32E. I get some wrinkles at the top and so I think I should have stuck with size 32DD. However other parts of the bra fit well so I'm guessing this may also be a shape mismatch, perhaps better for even and center fullness. The wire and band is comfortable, stretchier than other panache bands.
Beautiful bra - The cups work well, though the wires are not a good fit for me. Too long at the sides which causes the center gore to press in badly. It’s ok - but definitely not a good fit for me.
If you have a narrower rib cage that k do, it’ll likely work great. The wires press into my side just a hint. They don’t hurt. But the center gore does press in as a result and it does hurt a bit and leave light marks. It’s an ok bra for me but not perfect. Also my nipples point through and can be seen through my clothes which I’m not fond of!
Shape: Firm tissue; projected; a lot of immediate projection; full on bottom; even-to-centre full; close set; splayed, short and narrow roots.
Summary: This is currently my best fitting bra. It certainly fits the best out of any Panache styles I've tried on. This is the first plunge style bra I've tried in my new size and I absolutely prefer this shape to full cup or balconette for my shape. Does it fit perfectly? Nope. But it's 'fine' which is good enough for me right now. The wires are still slightly too wide for me (by around 2cm), however I'm aware I'm pretty narrow so I'm basically taking what ...I can get before I finally have the guts to try some Polish brands. Despite the width issues, the bra fits comfortably. FINALLY a bra that stays under my IMF, which seemed like it was literally never going to happen. This tells me that there must be at least a fair amount of immediate projection in this bra.
Important note: Normally people size up a cup size in this bra, however the 32F (my normal size) was laughably too big in the cup for my right boob which is quite a bit smaller than the left. This one (32E) is probably millimetres too small for the left bigger boob, but doesn't cause quadding anywhere, and fits well on the smaller boob. Something to consider for anyone who also has a fairly noticeable size difference.
What I like:
Beautiful design - simple but effective. Lace doesn't show under (good quality cotton) t-shirts.
The gore is super low - excellent for me as I normally have an issue with gores sitting too high and slightly on my left boob. None of that here. The gore is also very narrow - the wires cross over, which is also great for me as I'm close set.
The shape I get in this bra is my preferred one - not super rounded but not torpedo boob. My natural boob shape is preserved without exaggerating pointyness.
Band is firm - I enjoy the feeling of being held in, which is why I've been so forgiving with Panache bras despite mostly being a shape mismatch, as this is a classic feature of their bras.
What I don't like:
The wire channel rolls down a little on my larger side as this size is probably a tiiiiiiny bit too small in the cup on that side. Ideally I'd need a cup size up to make the wire height a little bigger to contain this, however I noted the issues with doing so above. I will probably attempt to push the wire further up the channel at some point.
I imagine this style would not work for people who are very centre full as the lace sits very flat at the apex and bottom where it meets the gore. It's not as stretchy as some of Panache's other laces. Read more 371 more words
I tried a 30F first, and the band was too tight. I moved up to 32E, which is my actual size, and it fits pretty well after a bit of fiddling with the straps. I got this is a "I'm tired of wires" weekend bra, and I think it will do really well. It seems comfy, but is giving me a bit of a pointy shape (soft tissue here), and the thick diagonal seam does stick out under thin shirts. Given that I will be wearing it under huge lounge shirts, I have to admit that I don't care. Oh, and the soft furry straps are lovely.
This was a really good fit got me in band and cup. Full coverage isn't my favorite, and it gives me a very slightly pointy shape, but it's actually comfortable enough for extended wear, so I'm keeping it.
Don't care for the pointy shape it gives. The horizontal seam across the bustline creates a ridge that is very unappealing. Could be ever so slightly wider in the cup and ever so slightly less projected. Then it would fit like a glove. Otherwise, it fits fine...I just don't like the look.
This is a favorite bra of mine, I have it in 30E and 32E. My measured and usual size is 30E/F, and I prefer the 32E. The 30E is a little too tight and I get slight quadding. The band runs pretty firm and slightly small in the cup. I am full on bottom but with tall roots so the combination of immediate projection and forgiving stretch lace at the top is great for me. Also love that it brings everything on the side forward. The forward projection could be a little too pointy for some, but I like the natural and a little vintage shape.
Bought to help work out my size. My comments for reference: - Band: Too tight, used 2 extenders = try 34/ 36 next time - Cup: Too small, slight quadding on both sides so 32F would fit better than 32E. For 34 band, the equivalent cup would be 34E, while 36 band would be 36DD. - Wing: Height could be taller
I think this bra fits really excellently, however it is very stiff! I do not find it that comfortable for all-day wear, but it is my best fitting bra by far. The material of the cup is almost like a memory foam. I have basically no visible nipples (they're pretty much flat) but somehow this fabric makes my nipples look more prominent!? The boning and wire is very strong and really holds in place. Nice and smooth under clothes.
My shape: close set, center full, full on bottom, average/narrow width roots, average to slightly projected (I need immediate projection), tall shallow roots, semi soft tissue.
I so wish this bra fit me... I just love the look of it, the lace details, the color combinations they have, the matching bottom options... I have tried it in a couple of sizes now and it's definitely a shape mismatch for me. The cups are too shallow and the wire, too closed off at the top and just doesn't fit with my FOB shape very well. It's a better bra for shallower shapes for sure. It kept sliding off my ...IMF line and no matter how much I adjusted it, it cut in at the top as well even when I tried it in a larger cup size. The slightly larger cup was a better "fit" at the top (no cutting in) but the wires still didn't stay in my IMF and slipped down so much. I'm pretty sure the Clara might work for me based on the fit of this bra since it has more projection overall than the Andorra. Read more 81 more words
Me: 30F/32E. Center full, close set, relatively even when supported, tall-ish roots. Not particularly narrow - average to wide roots. Soft tissue. Shoulders are on the slightly narrow side so some balconettes have straps that are too wide for me.
Holy seam wrinkling, batman! Dang it. This is a balconette with a nice narrow gore so it was actually semi comfortable, but there was a lot of wrinkling across the seam between the lace and the fabric sections. I'm pretty sure it'd show through a lot of shirts. Not sure if it's a soft tissue thing or due to not being full enough on top. The shape was good overall, relatively round.
Me: 30F/32E. Center full, close set, relatively even when supported but leaning towards FOB, tall-ish roots. Not particularly narrow - average to wide roots. Soft tissue. Shoulders are on the slightly narrow side so some balconettes have straps that are too wide for me.
This bra was fine when it came to wire width but I gotta move away from balconettes I think. They just consistently have a high uncomfortable gore. This one was relatively narrow with the wire channels side by side at the top, but for some reason it was crooked. Like at the top of the gore, one side was higher than the other. I think it was sitting more against my smaller breast, like it was being forced over that way by my tissue.
Also, I saw wrinkling at the seam between the lace and fabric, which is annoying. The overall shape was good, though - more rounded than conical.
I couldn’t get this bra to work for me either for the same reason. It’s so pretty, but definitely not friendly to shapes that are full in the center.
