I've had this bra for a year and a half and I keep coming back to try it and keep not wearing it. I've worn it a few times under really thick t-shirts and, although it is a little too tight and the cups wrinkle just a touch at the very top, those aren't the main reasons I don't wear it. The main reason I don't wear this bra is because of the construction: top part fine lace, bottom part fine mesh, with a seam that is presumably supposed to fall where my nipples are. I would 100% wear this bra if it weren't for the fact that said seam falls close but not quite on my right side and ridiculously too high on my left side. It's a really pretty bra and feels fine, but I'm just not interested in having to wear extra nipple covers under this bra. It's very irritating.
Yay! It fits! I've been lusting after Charlotte for pretty much the whole time I've known about proper bra fit. I discovered her on Large Cup Lingerie and must have gazed longingly at her various shades for far longer than is healthy. I read many reviews, which highlighted her good points (beautiful design, wide band) and some recurring issues (tall cups, stabby painful gore, too long wires) so knew what I was getting into when I ordered the peach version when LCL had a 20% off promo. When it arrived, I popped her on and heard an angelic cheering sound - SHE FIT PERFECTLY! I was worried ...the band may be too tight as often people say she runs small - but my usual 30 band is perfect. Fairly wide which I love, and fairly wide straps also, a la my usual Decos. Cups are very plunge shaped, but shallow enough to accommodate my not-hugely-projected boobs. Whilst the fit was spot on, I wasn't enamoured with the colour so much in person - so swapped for the brand new to market Purple Wine and SOOO glad I did! It is stunning, a perfect jewel tone. The cups of this one seem a tad deeper than the peach one, but it may be my imagination (or maybe having the straps longer thus giving the illusion of being deeper). I wore it out today for the first time, and so far, so comfortable. No digging anywhere. The cups are a decent height for me (again I was concerned they'd be too high as I'm fairly short) - anyone who finds Deco cup height ok should be fine with Charlotte I'd imagine, they seem fairly comparable. Wires are wider than Deco though I'd say, not a problem for me but may not suit anyone who needs narrower wires than I. I'm delighted!! Especially with matching high waist knickers in a Large (I'm UK 12/Medium in all other pants, but these run small, size up I'd advise!).
I'm tempted to get a pair of the little pants too....! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":-D" /> Read more 245 more words
Love this bra! Fits snug around rib cage, gore can put pressure on sternum but gets better with wear. Would possibly buy one cup up next time as the cup is barely too small
I was really excited about this bra because it's a beautiful purple colour, and has matching bikini panties. Unfortunately, the cup was far too big. I couldn't fill it out in the top. The band was comfortable though, and I like that the top of the straps is actually two mini-straps. I ordered a 30DD in hopes that would solve my cup problem, but it turns out that this bra is just not made for shallow breasts. I couldn't fill out the top of the 30DD either, and the gore bruised my sternum. Oh well.
This bra fits okay if I stand up straight, but gapes horribly if I move my arms anywhere. I think the cups are just taller at the outside by the strap than is ideal for me, and since the straps are so wide my arms push on them and adjust the fit of the cup. The cups are also too shallow at the bottom so I have to be careful the wires don't sit too low. It's such a pretty bra though. I also tried the 32E since I heard it runs small in band and cup, and while that cup isn't actually really too ...large and the band is still tight enough it exacerbates the gapping problem if I move. I do think that while this 30 band is firm, because it's a wider band it is still quite comfortable. I find the volume in the 30E acceptable as well, no quadboobing, so for me I find that my normal size fits. I think the bigger cup on the 32E just offers more coverage while still fitting, so possibly I could go down to a 30DD and get some more exposure without awful quadding. Read more 91 more words
This is a nice bra and I love that it works with low-cut tops better than my others, which have full cups. I believe I am full on bottom, but I am not experiencing any empty space at the top in this bra. I went a cup size smaller than I usually order, so I think that helps push the tissue up to fill it out. The band is tighter than my 4 other 30s. I measure pretty close to exactly 30 inches around the rib cage, and this doesn't quite stretch to that. The wings are good for minimizing back fat for me, though--your mileage may vary. Embroidery on the front shows through very tight tops.
This is one I will wear primarily for low cut or wide-neck tops. I'll see how the band stretches over time because in its new state, it's not something I'd be comfy wearing for more than a few hours.
I guess I really only needed to make the band tighter on my 30F; I end up quadboobing in a 30E. This is a really comfortable bra, even if the wires are too wide for me.
I've been wanting to try the Charlotte for months and was so glad to find it on the listings for a great price so I could finally get my hands on it. I had heard the band runs tight tho I was skeptical that the 30 would work for me since I take a 28 in unpadded Cleos which are also known to run tight, but the 30 really is perfectly fine. The cups also run small, so basically this 30E is more like a 28E. It's very comfortable, gives a great shape, and I love the almost pin-up inspired design. I highly recommend this one!
I love Parfait by Affinitas bras and this is the forth bra by them that I now own. They are all extremely comfortable. I bought this bra from another user.
I have only worn this bra for a few minutes, as it gapes too much at the top. I have determined that I am more full on bottom, and this just isn't the right shape for me. It's a beautiful bra though.
This is my favorite undergarment to wear. It's beautiful and looks wonderful, although it is difficult to fasten. I have a small waist and my measurements put me in a 28F/FF, and therefore I wish I could have ordered a 28F instead, but none are available. This is definitely sufficient. The underwires dig in very slightly, and because it doesn't fit exactly right the piping up the sides sometimes puckers.
I've had the unpadded Kelly bra for a long time and always liked it, so when I saw a padded version that came in nude on Zulily, I snatched it up. When it finally arrived and I put it on I was so disappointed! The shape was weird and the cups felt alternately too big and too small (a problem I have with basically every padded plunge ever). A week later, though, I wore it to work, and everything seems pretty okay. The shape of the wires isn't quite right so it sits a little weird on my chest, but it's nice and tight and I don't see any gaping or quadding through a shirt. It's far from the perfect nude t-shirt bra I'm seeking, but it's plenty good for now.
Ordered this bra before I knew it ran small.. Definitely fits closer to a 28E in my opinion, so it's very unwearable for me. It's gorgeous, though, and I think if I had ordered it in a couple sizes higher I would have been quite happy with it.
If you're looking for a beautiful, sexy, not-at-all practical bra, this might be a good one to check out. The eyelash lace at the top of the cups is simply gorgeous, and the rest of the bra is a satiny fabric. While the half-cup style makes this bra impractical for day-to-day wear (the fabric part of the cups comes just up to the nipple line on me, leaving a good chance of nipple slips), it imparts a good amount of support and lift. The straps are split in the front, attached to patterned elastic in the back, making them very comfortable. This bra fit me well for the ...most part, despite being a cup size too large (I normally wear a 28E/30DD), so I would suggest going up at least a cup size. The band doesn't seem to have a lot of stretch, so I would consider sizing up in that regard as well. The only thing about this bra that wasn't a hit for me was the cut of the lace- I just didn't fill it out well and I think it's because I don't have a lot of volume on top. Read more 85 more words
This bra is way too big. It's just plain huge on me. With most bras that I have gaping issues on, the gaping happens at the top and quadboobing in the center because it's the wrong shape. This bra gaps everywhere. Everything else is right about it, but the cups are far too large for me. It's a nice bra, though. I would consider trying it in 30DD if I stumbled upon it in a store.
