I definitely got much too large of a size. The band runs slightly on the smaller side, while the cups are quite separated and large. This doesn't tack at all with close-set boobs. The padded cups feel nice, though the straps are much too far apart.
This is a balconette-style, multi-way bra. The straps sit on the wide side, so if you have problems with straps under your armpits, stay away. The wires are very very firm and barely move when stretched. This is different from many other Parfaits I've tried (the Leslie and both Kimberly styles have very soft flexible wires). I'm guessing the wires are very firm since this bra could function as a strapless. Typical wide gore and hourglass/east-west appearance of Parfait bras.
Unfortunately it is too big for me, so I can't really comment much more on the fit. I had hoped to wear it as a strapless, and while the band is tight enough to stay up, the inch or so that I can crush at the top of the cups (its at least a size or two too big) means that it won't work for me.
I bought this bra knowing that the lace portion at the top fitted very loosely on other users and that there would be some nipple show-through on the lace portion. Parfait Tamara has 2 of the things I was looking for: lace/mesh material and a half cup style. I have an affinity for black bras so this was a no brainer. The straps are actually two side-by-side thinner straps, which I find adds ...to the sexy. I'm not a fan of the band, as I've mentioned on every other Parfait bra review I've written. The stretchiness of the elastic on the band allows the band to ride up even more so than bands that measure longer relaxed.

It looks like my boobs are trying to escape over the top of the padded part because the cup too small. Obvious is obvious. But, in my very simple bra brain, sizing down in a half cup style is supposed to result in more pushed up rounded boobies. What I've been slow to learn though, is the obvious: sizing down results in reduced cup width and depth and in a bra that is trying its best to tack between my boobs instead of floating magically around them (the way small VS bras create cleavage), I always end up with a terrible orange in the glass effect. This caused the opposite of what I wanted to happen because my poor squished oranges were now pushing down on the cups. Sure, I could make this work by tightening the straps, right? Wrong. I had the same problem with this bra and ended up returning it. I wish it would have had a lot more projection in the bottom cup pa.
Staaldrigstill Yea, it's too bad about the design on such an aesthetically pleasing bra. I've ordered the full padded cup (instead of half padded) version. I'll follow up with how that goes!
This is a gorgeous, moulded, demi-cut bra. The multi-layered bow and victorian charm are a classy touch.
The band is very tight for a 30, which is nice. The 3 hooks are even nicer. The straps are a bit thick, but they keep the pinstripe look going, so it's worth it. The downside to the pinstriped straps means they are only halfway adjustable. While I normally have to do some serious strap adjustment, I didn't in this bra, so the partially-adjustable straps weren't a problem.
The cup is shallow in the center, like most Parfait's I've tried. That being said, the gore does tack, and it's a better ...fit than my 30F. There is a slight east-west appearance, but whether that is due to the shape incompatibility (center heavy boobs getting pushed out by a shallow centered bra) or due to cup design, I'm not sure. The cups are on the verge of being too tall at the edges (but I need a very short cup).It gives just enough cleavage to be classy without feeling squished/like I'm falling out. The lace on the top of the cups will show through a thin shirt.
Despite the shape incompatibility, I love this bra. The pinstripes make me feel like a 1920's gangster while the white lace and the bow and the victorian charm make me feel like a sexy, supported french maid. I wish I could wear it as a top (it goes so well with with my pinstripe pants!).
I had previously got this bra in a 32DD, after placing a fit request it was recommended to go up 2 sizes. Unfortunately this bra wasn't available in a 32F so I sister sized to a 30FF. When the bra arrived I thought the band looked incredibly small even compared to other Parfait bras I have in a 30 band. Surprisingly this fits much more comfortably than my other Parfaits in 30 bands, but this is also several cups up from my other parfaits. I also think that the band on the Bess is a made of a softer material so it even though it ...is quite snug, it doesn't seem to bother me, I will see if this holds true after more than a few minutes of wear. I'm so glad I was able to find this bra in a size that works. If I had more selection, I definitely think the 32F would be the best fit for me since the band on my 32DD was perfect and incredibly comfortable, just the cups were way too small on that one. I did have to get this in pink and cream as opposed to the coffee and cream, but both colors are still very neutral but much prettier than a typical neutral color bra. This does also have 3 hooks and wider straps, this is a bit new to me, but shouldn't be an issue. The wires on the 30FF are a bit wide for me, but not to a point of poking me or being uncomfortable, they are still within an acceptable range as I don't really have empty fabric on the sides.
Thought this might be good for anyone considering this bra to know. I am wearing under a tshirt and you can't really see the decorative seams for the "ruffles" for lack of a better description. If I look closely I can kind of see, but it looks more like a shadow effect than it looks like it is the bra. Read more 237 more words
This band felt really tight when I first bought it, but it relaxed just enough to be comfy but stay very supportive. Gives good cleavage without push up padding.
The color of the bra is beautiful!! the band is very comfortable, feels like a true 30, i like how secure it makes me feel, it has three hooks wich is very nice and makes the band feel more snug (in my opinion) the strap separation is a little wide, but i have narrow shoulders and to tell you the truth it does not bother me that much, the straps are really soft and you can adjust them all the way. The cups have a really nice embroidery wich shows just a little over clothes, but is ok. Love how soft this bra is!! The only thing that i dont like very much is that the seam that goes horizontaly makes my boobs look a little pointy, not that much, just a little. The lift this bra gives me is amazing!! overall a great fitting bra!!
This is a no for me. The seam between the padded part and the lace is very obvious under even loose tees. The gore is too high, and digs into my sternum. The top lace part collapses, it's very stretchy and is asking for more upper fullness than I have, which gives it kind of a bullet bra look since I can't evenly fill the cups out. The straps are too far apart, causing the cup on my smaller side to fold over - but at least they don't murder my armpits like my Charlotte. At least not at first. I don't think Parfait and I will get along. This one's going back.
The Pros - it's really pretty. Might work for someone else.
I got this bra at Burlington coat factory super cheap. Oh how badly I wanted this to work, I love the way it looks it reminds me quite a bit of EM's prohibicja, but much cheaper. But unfortunately that's the only pro I have about this bra. It's uncomfortable due to the band being really tight, but this might be a plus for people who need a 26 or tight 28 band. I find it small all over actually do I would recommend sizing up in band and cup. The cups, well just horribly wrong for my shape, they're spaced far apart and where the apex is gives a very east west appearance as well as being pretty shallow near the gore so quite a bit quadding in the middle as well as causing the gore to float. The wires are really wide and not too comfortable on my ribcage. The straps are very far apart and dig into my arms. And... That's about it.
Very bad bra for my boobs. The cups feel a little smaller than they should be, so maybe this would be a good bra for someone in-between 30F and 30FF. The band is really firm, stretching to just under 30inches, so I'd recommend this to someone who likes 28 bands as well.

This bra is very much the wrong shape for me, which is a pity because the moulded up are so comfortable. I think it would work for someone less FOT.
It's got a very firm, wide, and supportive band, which I like. I adore the rich navy-blue color. I think the top section with the design wouldn't show through most tops but definitely would show through very thin tops.
This bra feels like a hug, it just looks terrible on me because it's such a weird shape. I hung onto it for way too long despite never having actually worn it, just because I wanted it to work.
This is a really pretty bra and the fabric is very soft/comfortable. There's also is not enough immediate projection at the bottom and not enough projection at the gore for me. The band is too loose for me but it does run reasonably firm for a 30. I've included a picture here showing just how different the wire shape of this bra is to my root shape - I definitely need a much narrower and much more projected bra than this.

Unfortunately, it is neither the correct size nor shape for me. Based on the measurements and an older Parfait By Affinitas Charlotte Padded Bra (6901) I have that fits about 2 cup size small, I thought the 30FF (one cup size up from my usual 30F), would be the correct size. However, the cups are definitely too big, and I can't fill them at the top. It appears that the shape of the bra is more suited for even or full-on-top and wider breasts, the opposite of mine, though because of the size I'm not 100% sure.
I would consider this a full cup bra. As such, the coverage is quite high. I normally default to 30G in Parfait half cup and plunge styles, but on the Melissa, I feel like the cups would come up too high in a 30G. The cup shape is cutting in a bit along the top of the cup and I've yet to see if it's bad enough to show under clothing.
Despite the not ideal cup shape for me, these cups are some of the most softest and squishiest cups I've ever cradled my boobs in. So supple and smooth. I also have a thing for white bras. Totally have a soft spot or them.
Good solid moulded nude bra to turn to for almost any outfit. I'm usually a 30G in this style, but opted for 30FF for plunging neckline styles that may reveal the top of you bra if the cup is tall. I measured this bra vs my 30G Casey and found the cup width to be the same, the cup depth to be less than half an inch less and the cup height to be a quarter inch shorter. This bra will not accomplish what I purchased it for since the fit is so similar to my 30G Casey. I have this bra in both the 30FF and 30G. I get more overflow in the smaller size, while in the 30G my boobs settle nicely in the cup. I don't prefer one fit over the other and both sizes seem to work for me in this style. I like that all of my Parfait bras come with at least 3 hooks and generous bands with wide wings. The top of the cup is stiff and stands up as opposed to curving back around my boobs, so wearing this bra with a thin shirt s not an option. It's useful as a sweater bra.
So I think this is my first bra that fits! The wires are a smidge too wide and I think I'm going to start looking at 28 bands but everything else is great. Fully covered and supported with no wrinkling. The straps are set a little too wide for my liking but I can live with that. The deep orchid color is not as bright as they show it but it's very pretty.

I am fairly even with firm tissue. Overall this bra works pretty well with my shape. I think it may be a tiny bit shallow on the bottom for me as I noticed the cups slightly buckling underneath. Other small issues are that the band on this runs rather firm and the straps are set too wide. I have another Parfait by Affinitas bra that has wide set straps, so maybe it's this brand. This bra also feels as tight as other 28 bras I have. Still, I'm quite happy with the shape it gives me and will look for styles similar to it.
I finally found a bra that fits well without any alterations! I love,love, love the fully adjustable straps, I have never had to not alter the straps on a bra before, ever. I do get a tiny amount of quadding on my larger breast if I have been moving around a lot and bending over, but I can adjust the overflow back in easily. I love the firm band on this, it stretches just enough to stay up and it really holds things in place. The sturdy underwire is wonderful too, I love how strong it feels! I love the aesthetics of this bra too,using the matte backside of the satin to contast and add interest on the cups is simply a great idea! I just really love this bra overall; it's a great price, comes in pretty colors, fits well right out of the bag, is very comfortable, has lovely complimentary pieces (don't get me started on them)and is quite easily dyeable (more on this to come). Yay for Charlotte!
