I actually like the look and feel of this bra, whereas typically I don't like Rosme at all (and don't really plan on buying any of their bras in the future). It's a lot more stretchy and less firm in the band than Rosme bras I've tried in the past, and I also can't find the same pattern or style on the Rosme website or anywhere else, so I wonder if it's a fake. Either way, the possible fake is better than their other bras! Regardless, this one is still too wide in the straps, leaving them practically hanging of my shoulders, and with gaping along the top of the cup.
This is my second Rosme bra, and I notice a trend in the wide-set bra straps that cut into my underarms. There is also gapping along the top of the cup, especially where the strap meets the cup. The quality is also pretty poor; the inner lining of the cups is rough and scratchy.
The straps are SUPER wide, so they cut into my under arms really badly. That is my main complaint with the bra - otherwise, the cups are a little too big on me. It also feels cheaply made; the lining of the cups is rough and scratchy!
This is the first Rosme Ive tried in a 32G and it's cup sizing seems inconsistent with the other styles I've tried (Kamila, Eliza, & Grand). Or maybe it's just the wrong shape for me...
The likes: Two-part cups, soft lace on the outside, lined with cotton. Thin foam sandwiched between the layers. The cups and straps are one continuous fabric. No seams at the cup edge. Wide padded front straps, trimmed with a small scalloped lace, the same as the cups. I didn't quad at the gore, common for me...especially on a gore so tall.) The seam in the cup would be minimal, if even visible at all.
The dislkes: Very open ...cup. Seems to require self-supporting, high-set, FoT shape. (The wide wires and far-set straps caused buckling right where the straps blend into the cups ...in my armpits.) The band is single layer mesh. Very sretchy. No extra seaming or boning for side support. I needed a 30" right out of the package. (In my limited experience, all Rosme bands I've tried have run large.) The gore is very tall. It didn't tack, despite the cups being sufficiently large enough. By nature of the design, the rear straps are only partially adjustable. (I had to extend them completely to get it on.) In contrast to the DDD's I tried, this one's cups are proportionately much larger than the next cup size down. But may that boil down to style, since this the first one I've tried in this line. Super stretchy band! Closed cups caused major quadding. Next band size down not available. Neither is next cup size up. Seemed comfortable enough if it had fit. I had been hoping to wear this with a Renaissance costume...oh well!
The details: Lace cups with flat seams. Neither showed under clothes. Cotton lined. Small scalloped lace edge. Great lift. Good side support. Nice front & center projection. Fairly open cups. Tall, narrow gore. Marginally overlapped wires at the top and 2.25" wide at the base. Very stretchy band. Stretched to 37" before the wires began to distort. Single layer mesh wings. Flat plastic boning (vs. round, which is bulkier) under the arms. Full band around the cradle. Padded straps in the front are one continuous piece into the cups. (No seam between cups and straps.) Back straps are partially adjustable and .6" wide.
The fit: It would fit great if not for two issues: ...1: The band is much too big on me, even on the tightest set of hooks. I normally wear a 32" band, but thought I'd try the 34" because it had the cup size I needed. (The 32G was not available at the time.) 2: the straps are too wide-set, well into my arms. This caused the cups to buckle a tiny bit right where the cups blend into the straps. Read more 71 more words
The band on this Kamila felt much truer to size than it's cousin Eliza, whose band was very stretchy. Similarly, it also had a single mesh band (instead of double layer) and no plastic boning under the arms. The two-part cups are also cotton lined, but wider, shallower and more closed than the Eliza. (I quadded in the center because of the very tall gore, whereas with the Eliza I did not quad at all, despite the gore heights being nearly identical.) With the wires also wider than Eliza the straps felt even further apart. (And the problem of the cups buckling at the straps was even worse.) Otherwise, the two had very similar design features (such as the cups and front straps being seamless/one piece), yet were two very different fits; this one being wide and shallow and the Eliza slightly narrower, more open and deeper.
As always, the straps don't get long enough. They are made of the thinnest stretchiest of elastic. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> Definitely only wear for special occasions. The bottom part of the cups are lined with cotton, the whole cup is stretchy which works great on my uneven shape. The inner cup by the gore on both sides has slight wrinkling, which is unusual for me since I have lots of inner fullness. So this would be great for someone with extremely center/inner full shape.
The straps barely get long enough. The are also, very thin. The straps can be criss-cross, but they don't get long enough to do that on me. The material is very space age scuba type material, very comfortable on the skin. The gore is nice and low on this balconette style which is surprising. There are no stitches or thread, all the seams are heat sealed. All the seams and underwires are covered. I do get slight quad-boob, but not bad on my smaller days and the cups are low cut, but usually I need a cup depth of 8" and this one is only 7".
Cup is immediately shallow, but has great apex projection.
Band is a single layer of stretchy, soft mesh. More stretchy than I anticipated. If you prefer tight bands, order one band size smaller. I don't know how long this band will hold dimensional stability, but the materials are very comfortable.
This is my first wired Rosme. I was thoroughly impressed with the two wireless bras I purchased. So, it was easy to try the wired version in an effort to validate data on Bratabase.
Dimensionally, this bra's cups look incredibly similar to 32H Wacoal La Femme. But, wow, the fit is incredibly different. La Femme provides me remarkable support whereas Ivonna's cups instantly collapse when the band is fully extended. Considering my many fit experiences, I'd expect La Femme's cups to collapse because the band is 2" shorter. Nope. Despite the cut and sew design of Ivonna, this cup is immediately shallow. However, the design does allow significantly more apex projection than La Femme. I'm shallow at the apex. So, this may be the primary reason La Femme fits better.
Straps are stretchy, .75" wide, and fully adjustable. Cup is cotton-lined. This color will work as nude for pale to medium tones. It leans toward light beige.
Best for immediately shallow breasts who need more apex preojection.
TL;DR: One of the best bras I've found for my shape (pendulous, separate boobs, narrow root, full on bottom, projected). A very pleasing round shape. Boobs tend to escape in the middle though if I lean over.
One of my favorite bras so far. The cup shape is nice and rounded, with quite enough projection for me (which is suprising with my overall luck regarding molded / padded bras). The only minus I'd say is that the molded cups kinda "break" under the weight of my boobs, creating a crease in the lower side of the cup, but that's not too noticeable from the side (and with other clothes ...on), so I don't mind it that much.
Looks good, feels comfortable and the band, even though feels very elastic, somehow tends to hold my breasts in place throughout the day.
Another little downside to this bra is that, when I move around too actively and/or lean over to the front, my boobs tend to escape a little bit in the middle, leaving me with a weird quadboob situation. Oh well. Happens. The overall look and comfort compensates for that. Read more 78 more words
The bra fits me well however it's fabric is thin and strechy and being used to bras that hold tight (like Panache's Tango http://www.bratabase.com/browse/panache/tango-ii-balconette-3251/) it feels somewhat too loose and I keep thinking it doesn't *hold*. But I'm not sure it's an actual problem - probably it's in my head. Otherwise it's pretty good.
Sigh. I give up with European brands. I just can't figure out their sizing.
According to the measurements listed for this bra, I thought it would fit me okay. I'm wearing bras between 10.4-10.8 depths. This bra has a depth closer to an even 10" and it is just way too small for me. It severely cuts into my boobs on the top and I can't scoop and swoop enough of my breast into them. The shape of the bra smashes my boobs down instead of lifting and separating them. I'm thinking orange-in-glass effect.
The band rides up a bit also. I measure 33" around and I feel that ...this bra is larger than 34". It also doesn't help that I have to shorten the straps by a lot to get the shape of this bra to work for me.
I like bras that compliment my mostly even shape, giving me a round look under clothes. I also like cleavage, but without quadboob. This bra does none of that for me. I'm really disappointed because the pattern is wonderful and the measurements told a different story...
I'll probably be passing this on soon. At least I didn't pay anything for it (just swapped with a bra that didn't fit me anyway). Read more 102 more words
Grey patterned lightly padded 3-part cup, kind of halfway between a balconette and a plunge to me. Tops of cups are angled down and the gore is low, but it's not like a super plunge cut. Print is a med-dark grey background with lighter grey ribbons/bows decorated with black geometric shapes.
Quickie initial impression: Initially was too tight in the band and the cup (just a little). Now this may be my best-fitting bra in my current boob/body configuration.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Update after months... and weight loss
It doesn't fit me any more. Too big in the band. Cup depth is still okay, but the fit just isn't right. I have this feeling I didn't measure it correctly... or maybe it's just that it is worn and everything is looser than it was when it was new.
(Purchased NWT, I think. Barely worn as it never really fit.)
Three-part cup balconette style with a 2-part center with side section that morphs into the strap.
Odd fabric with white background, red and brown flowers, brown/red "jeweled ribbon" print. Very stretchy. Kind of sheer. Cups are partially lined with a cottony fabric in the bottom and side parts.
Center bow at gore in a brown/white stripe. Very sparkly loop/fuzz detail on armhole sides of cups/straps and along entire bottom of band.
Straps only partially adjustable. Strap width at top of cup is ~1.5" and ~0.9" at shoulder.
Wires squidgy to me. Powernet on band. 2-hook closure.
~~~~~~~~~~~~ Quickie initial impression: ...Cute. Odd color combo. Stretchy cups, so I will keep for a bit. It is a little too big on me, though. Cups are not that tall, so it works for now.
~~~~~~~~~~~~ Update: Uh, I barely wore this bra. It's very soft and comfy, but never really fit.
You can see in most of the pics that it makes my boobs look sad and droopy. The main front pic (the blurry one) shows what it looks like if I hike it up, scoop and swoop, and pull the straps tighter. But it still doesn't really fit.
I don't know what to say about the measurements I made as they were done when I first got the bra. I think the cup depth is impossible to accurately measure as the fabric is very stretchy. Read more 131 more words
If I had to pick one word to describe the bra "lightweight" is the one that comes to mind. Not best for heavy and dense breast tissue.
Soft, thin, stretchy fabrics. No wing seam or strengthening. Cream and subdued tartan print have quite a delicate effect.
The elasticated top edge of the cup cuts in a little, would suit a more fuller on bottom or a shorter root better. Besides the elastic edge the top section of the cups is made from an easy to fit stretch lace. The bottom and side sections also have a hint of stretch to them but the side support and horizontal seaming hinders it.
I'd prefer if the side support was stronger and centered my breasts better.
Straps don't adjust quite short enough for me but I have high-set breasts.
The only thing I don't like about this bra is the cut of the cups, which I guess is kinda a big componet. The band is comfortable, and the thickness of the straps make it super comfy, plus the lace makes it look elegant, but the thing is, the cups are cut in a way that make my boobs look pointy. Plus the stitching, which goes up the middle, shows through t-shirts.
