Can be a pain to get in and out of until you break it in (practice before you take it off in front of a significant other or a full locker room), but very comfortable once it's on. Nice separation -- no uniboob. I don't do a lot of high-impact work, so I can't speak to that, but this is a great bra for all-day hiking and playing. Has lasted very well; I wash it in the machine in a bag and air dry.
This bra is mediocre. There are a lot of really minor problems with it- a 30 band was too small and a 32 is slightly too big so I have to wear it on the tightest hook if I want support (for reference, I usually wear a 28 or 30 in Freya bras.) I originally got it in a 30H and the cups were TINY- I spilled out on every side.
The cups are alright in this size, but they wrinkle at the bottom, give me uniboob, and don't provide enough support. The straps are wide but take too much of the weight that the band should provide. The elastic has a lot of give to it, so it doesn't really eliminate bounce. I wouldn't recommend it for any high-impact exercise if you're anywhere near as busty as I am.
However, if you're looking for a low-impact exercise bra or a sleep bra, this is pretty comfortable.
Excellent bra for running, feels like I have hardly any movement in these, less than in my B4490 that I've used so far. The cup size also seems somewhat larger than in B4490. Purple/turquoise color is lovely https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
I got this bra in a 36HH because of the many reviews about the smaller cup sizes and the tight bands. The 36 band is definitely too big. I could wear on the tightest hook right away. My band size has recently starting going between 32 and 34 so ideally a 34 would have been better. If you are in between bands go with the looser one. If not stick with your band size. The cup does seem to run on the smaller side. I'm afraid that if I get the 34HH the cup might be too small and I'll have side boob spilling out and HH is as high as it goes. Also the straps have hardly any adjusting room. Maybe in a tighter size it won't be a problem but this 36HH is going back. The band is too loose to offer the proper support for exercise. I'm undecided on whether I will try the 34HH or not. The bra was comfortable however.
I wear sports bras as my everyday bra, because they just feel more comfortable and I can run to catch a bus without painful bouncing if need be (read: very often). Shock Absorber B4490 has been my choice in a few different cup sizes for the last several years. It is an excellent bra, comfortable, durable and it does keep the bouncing to minimum.
Color wise they come in standard black/white and white, plus a special color that seems to change every year. This one is the previous special red/blue with white accent around the edge.
It is a compression bra, so it gives a bit of a uniboob look. It also makes the breasts seem 2-3 cup sizes smaller, which I like a lot, but I bet that it is not to everyone's tastes. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
This is bit over a year old bra at the time of writing this review. I have two of the exact same color and size that I've been wearing as my all around bras during the year. Very rarely did I wear anything else, so both of them have seen over 150 days of wear, including sports like running, cycling, floorball and snowboarding.
It is a very comfy and durable bra, the band measurements are exactly the same as in my newly bought 30E of the same model (though not color, sadly). Better keep in mind when buying, that this one doesn't seem to be giving in at all.
I also own and wear this in a 32GG (pre-weight loss size) and continue to wear the bra even though my regular go to size is 30G these days.
Please see my review of the 32GG.
I find the 30G to be a great fit and quite true to size. The back is firm - I find it a little firmer than the Panache Sports bra which I wear in a 28 band (but that could just be me!) but what I would expect of a 30 sports bra band.
The breast separation is a little better than I expected in this smaller size. The cups dig in a tiny bit towards my arms. I think this is because the cups come up high rather than the cup is too big. I get this problem in a lot of bras however so it may not trouble you.
Definitely a sturdy bra, but boy it comes small. I've got one in 32G and one in 32H and there's practically no difference in cup size. Like with the Enell bras, it really squashes the boobs flat and together, but unlike the Enell, which sits tight against the body ensuring no bounce, I get far too much bounce with this one. I suppose it's good for low-impact sports, but if I have to run or do martial arts, I grab my Enell. The band is very tight, which makes me wonder how the bounce is possible. On the other hand, if I went for a bigger band, I ...have a feeling it would start to slide around as I move. So no, I'm not happy with this one. I've had SA Max Sports before too, when I was still a nice and small E and F cup. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Those worked fine, but the bigger cups lack something I can't pinpoint. The one good thing about this bra is that it keeps its shape well, even if you wash it in a machine.
And what the heck is it that sports bras don't come bigger than H/HH cup (aside from Royce, which isn't suitable for high impact sports)?! Read more 105 more words
This is the first sports bra I've ever had in the right size so it's hard to rate it against other sports bras, but it feels very firm and supportive, and my breasts barely move at all when I jump up and down. The band is a lot tighter than I'm used to, but there are no underwires to press against my ribs and the band elastic is wide and quite soft. The padded straps are really comfortable, although there's not much room for adjustment - they are 25cm fully tightened and 30.5cm at full length. I didn't find the length a problem but it might be awkward ...if you need particularly long or short straps.
Sizing: my ribcage is 65cm/26" measured normally or 60cm/24" measured very tightly, and the 28 band is a very snug fit. The cups seem to run slightly large, and I'm happy with the D cup although I usually tend towards 28DD (FWIW, I'm not very full on top and often find full-cups a bit roomy). I feel like the cup placement might be better suited to closely-spaced breasts, but it's not a major problem. Read more 81 more words
Seems good quality and (as it says on the tin) good for high-impact stuff. I purposely chose it for not having individual cups, but some might not like that. However, rather difficult to do up unless you have great shoulder mobility, due to having two sets of double hook-and-eyes - one on the band, as with all bras, but another halfway between there and the shoulders, which was rather hard to reach.
It worked nicely but I didn't use it much before outgrowing it (or rather, outgrew it because I didn't wear it much, due to not exercising much? https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" />).
After trying the 28F and getting spillage and back fat, I figured going up a cup size (FF) would fix my fit issues. The band is pretty tight, but my spillage problems are gone and the cups fit pretty well. I expect this to stretch out over time so I think this size is the correct one for me.
This one is really tight, which probably a good thing. Should fit great once broken in.
Update: After comments that it really didn't look right on me, I realized it wasn't just that the band was really tight (based on reviews I was expecting the band to be really tight) But I had spillage and armpit fat as well, so I decided to exchange it for a cup size larger (28FF)
