This bra was pressed on me by a well meaning (or hungry) sales girl. It's an improvement from my previous 32b but it clearly doesn't fit. The band is very, very stretchy, and my boobs come out the sides and quadboob like crazy. It's a very nice looking bra though. Lots of push up and no itchy bits.

Doesn't feel wide enough in the cups for larger breast, too deep, cuts back in at top to give quad boob, the lace from shoulder helps. Have to keep it on tightest hook to keep it from slipping up smaller breast, which gives fat rolls.

This is a basic nude bra with clean lines. I did find the color to be too light against my skin to be considered nude (so it was visible underneath light-colored tops). The Angela has angled pads (non-removable) that create nice cleavage. The band is also tight. Unfortunately, the cups did not really enclose all my breast tissue on the sides, so it did not quite fit.

The band of the Sascha in black is extremely tight - I could not even extend it to 26 inches, so I was not able to try it on! The floral lace overlay is very nice, and the bra seems sturdily constructed. There is very heavy padding on the bottom of the cups (removable). It comes with removable straps as well.

This bra is lovely with pretty black lace and adjustable straps. It has cups that are extremely close together. The sides of the cups did not extend far out enough/were not wide enough to capture all of my breast tissue, and did not work at all for my shallow breasts. There are non-removable pads that take up a little more than half of the cup. The pads are located at the bottoms and did not feel angled. Sadly, this had to be returned.

    Didn't fit

This review is for the Hyacinth/Mink colour of this bra, and doesn't really apply to the Mink/Nude colour, as their bands are different.

This bra is actually a fairly good fit on me, but I just couldn't get on with it. No matter how I adjusted it, with or without extender hooks, I was always aware of it. I just couldn't get it to feel comfortable.

I'm not the first person to notice that TLBC's sizing seems to be all over the place. I really don't know why they can't get more consistency across their sizes. Let's start with band size. In the past month ... I've ordered 6 TLBC bras, all in a 28 band, and the bands have differed in size by 4.5cm unstretched, and 9cm (3.5 inches!!) stretched. This makes it virtually impossible to know what size to choose on mail order. These bands should all be the same length, surely??

    Model.................Band..Stretched Band
    Nicole (Hyacinth)..53..........69
    Nicole (Nude)........51..........74
    Ethel.......................53..........72
    Ethel.......................51..........72
    Yvonne..................55..........75.5
    Lucia......................50.5.......66.4

Note the 5cm difference between the 28-band Nicole in Hyacinth colour vs. the same bra in Nude colour!

The first problem I had with this bra is the band being too tight. My ribcage measures 66cm with a super-tight tape. I usually feel comfortable in bands that are around 75cm, so at 69cm, this is 2" too small. The 28C Nude Nicole's 74cm stretched band was pretty comfortable. So, choose your band size based on which colour you want for this bra!!

I can't quite pin down the reason for the other problem I had with this bra. It just made me feel like I was constantly rolling my shoulders forwards, no matter how I adjusted the straps and/or the band. I think MAYBE the straps are set a little too wide for me, I'm not sure. They were constantly falling off my shoulders when I added extender hooks so that the band felt more comfortable.

TLBC's fit tips for this bra say that it has "slightly roomier cups". Presumably this means slightly larger volume? I really don't understand WHY they would do this - seems like just another reason to confuse the customer!

With the removable padding in, these cups fit me pretty well, not really any gaping or overspill. The wires at the side come up really high, which is something that I always seem to need, to stop my wide-set boobs from escaping at the sides. My boobs are fairly shallow, and I found that the cup projection was good on this bra too.
With the padding removed, the cups are definitely too big, and gape at the top, whilst still fitting ok at the bottom and underarms.

mellowjello88 , who also has wide-set shallow boobs, had a very different experience with this bra (although note that she reviewed the Nude-coloured version, which has a much stretchier band than my Hyacinth version). Read her review here: http://www.bratabase.com/browse/the-little-bra-company/nicole/28C/#review-15407.

    By contrast:

The very lovely-looking Yvonne 28A (pics here: http://www.bratabase.com/bra/dl63k/) had wires that were much too low-cut at the sides for me. I think I would be a 28B-C in Yvonne if not for the wire-length issue

The Lucia (non-convertible straps) 28B (pics here: http://www.bratabase.com/bra/dl6e3/) had cups that were set too close together for me, and a band that was too tight. I think I would be a 30B in Lucia if not for the cups being too close together.

The Ethel in 28B is a great fit, and the only one of the six that I'm going to keep. I'll be reviewing this one soon.

Overall, this bra, to me, has the feel of being designed for a larger woman. It doesn't feel like it was designed for a petite frame, which seems at odds with TLBC's ethos.

    • Wow, that's very strange that different colours of the same model can have different sizing. I'm beginning to think their bras may be cheaply made which causes the inconsistency.

I'd agree that some of their bras are simply scaled down from regular sized bras and are not truly "petite" sized. I guess, after all, it is a business and they can do whatever they want as long as the product sells.

The TLBC Nicole in 28C has a band that runs either true to size or slightly large/stretchy. The cups have more volume and projection than than the Lucia in 30C. The Lucia fits well for shallow and wide-set breasts. If the Lucia doesn't work for you, the Nicole might work if your breasts are more protruded. The cups have too much volume for me and gap quite a bit, but my ideal size is between 26D/DD. Also the wires are more narrow than the Lucia in 30C and actually cut into my side breast tissue.

I wish the Lucia came in black with C cups. My ideal size is 26D/DD. This plunge-style push up bra runs small in the band and cups. The underwire is short and meets end-to-end at the center gore, not allowing the gore to tack to my sternum. The Lucia fits the best for me out of the TLBC bras I have tried. The cups are extremely shallow and in addition to floating center gore, the shallow/push-up cup style allows for your breasts to be pushed together to produce cleavage. The cup itself cuts into my breast tissue a bit at the top of the cup on my larger ... breast, but it is well hidden under the lace overlay. It just leaves a faint red mark on my skin. If you are a true 30C, I would recommend you to size up in both the band and cup to a 32C, unless you want to squeeze your boobs together for maximum cleavage.

Update: after owning this bra for a few weeks, I've noticed it sometimes rides up slightly at the front since the gore doesn't tack. Also it's possible the band is too loose for me, but if I wear it on the tightest hook, the wires dig into my ribcage on the sides.

My ideal size is 26D/DD, which sister sizes to 30B/C. The band on this bra runs tight for a 30 band (the ivory and black lace versions are tighter than the nude versions), but not tight enough for my 26" ribcage. The cups are also very shallow. I get some overspill on my larger left breast, so the cups definitely run a bit small for a 30C. The underwire fits perfectly. I have some very shallow breast tissue that extends at least an inch above the top of the cup. I guess I just need a strapless with taller cups. I will be trying the 32B and altering the band.

This is a decently well made bra and could probably give a good cleavage and bust profile to someone in the right size and shape I am sure. I needed a 28D or 30C to get a better idea of the fit (both possible sister sizes to my truer 26DD/E) but I think the shape was not going to work for me. I don't know for sure without trying a bigger size, but I am abandoning this bra now that I found vendors for 28D/DD sizes.

There is pretty much no gore on this, and push up padding fills in over half of the cup. The band stretches to 30" but is tight. It is too big for my 25" underbust at the loosest hook, but works passably on the tightest.

I measure to be a 26DD/E so this is in theory a sister size to me. The band is far far too big even on the tightest hook, but it does run true to size.

The cups are a little too small for my breasts, and I think a 30D would fit me very well. I am a little more projected than not, and fairly narrow. In this size, I get classic spillage and gore-not-quite-tacking problems from too small cups. There is push up padding in the outer bottoms, and it does a very good job of holding the breasts front and center, with a round shape. If you can fit this bra, it should be a very sexy one. I would buy this bra again if LBC would carry my size.

This is TLBC's most heavily padded push-up plunge, and I think it could be a great super-cleavage bra... for someone other than me.

I have super-soft breasts, and the push-up padding in this bra (there is a lot of it -- filling about 2/3 of the inside of the cup, and non-removable) just mashes my breast tissue rather than lifting the breast up and in. Thus, the space at the top of the cup where the breast is supposed to be displaced to remains completely empty.

This may be the last TLBC bra I try. As with others I have tried, the cups are just too narrow for me, and even if they were wider, the underwires are not long enough to encase my breast on the outside. Furthermore, I think the plunge shape shared by most of their bras is not ideal for my wide, shallow, semiconical breasts.

I have heard that this bra runs small in both cup and band, and I have to agree. With the padding removed my larger breast quadboobs (a first for me!) and the band is a bit too tight. I can see why it is listed as "good for shallow breasts." I would try it in 30B, though that still might not work for me since the wires are not as wide as I would expect for a "shallow-friendly" bra. Still, it's a lovely, well-made strapless bra.

I've tried this bra in several different sizes, and this seems to work the best. It's still not terribly comfortable, but I think this may improve with time as I get used to it. I'm used to wearing an ill-fitted bra with too large of a band size, so it's an adjustment, and I'm hoping the comfort will improve.

For reference, my idea size measures to between a 28C/28D (~27.5 underbust, 31.5 bust). I've been trying various 28Cs, Ds, and 30Bs & Cs.

The band on this 30C definitely feels closer to a 28...it is the sturdier and less stretchy of the TLBC bands that I've tried so far, and the 30 fit me best on the loosest hook. However, the cups are WAY too big and gap at the top, both by the straps on the outside and on the tops.

The cups are structured weird...they come with the padded petals, which really makes the cup stiff and shallow near the bottom. I am using them ... in the photo, but they add a squareish shape bulge to the bottom shape of the cup, not that attractive. Taking them out, the shape of the cup is better but still seems to be pretty stiff and wide.

The blue satin top of the cup is just very wide and would be useful if you are a little fuller near the middle or on top. I am fairly shallow so these cups clearly do not fit me. I am possibly going to try the 30B and see if the smaller cups make a different (minus the added padding).

The satin definitely has a very wrinkled feel to it, and the slate color was a much darker gray than was shown on the website.

I actually wanted to love this bra due to my small breats but unfortunately this doesn't fit me anymore since I've gained a little and I ordered a wrong size. This actually runs smaller than my other 34A bra from the little bra company. Cups are too close together but gives a good cleavage. My breasts are wider so the cups can't really cover everything. Only been used for a couple of times. In good condition as shown in the picture.

I'm between 28C/D and 30B/C in several bras and trying to find ones that fit me. This bra was very very close, but unfortunately I felt that there was too much gap in the cups on both sides when my arms were in a neutral or forward position to exchange and try a 28C instead. There is removable padding inserts in the cup so I hope that by going down a cup size if needed, I can just get rid of the paddings for some extra room.

The band on this was stretchier than anticipated...I think the website mentions that this band (as well as others) are measured slightly ... tighter than most other brands. However, I found myself hooking on the very tightest setting from the start, and the band was starting to ride up in the back higher than in the front...thus I hope the 28C will be a better fit (and the cups won't be too small!!).

The bra is very pretty and the midnight blue is a gorgeous color. The lace details tend to bubble a little bit on the bottom of the cup and I wouldn't probably wear this under a smooth and sheer shirt.
