This is my second attempt at a Lilliana. Got this bra in a trade from another user. You can tell it's been worn a fair amount, but is still in good condition. Again, she's a beauty, I love the girly details. The wider wires and shallow cups just don't work for my shape, and it's also a bit big for me.
This bra is lovely, unfortunately it just does not fit me. The cups are at least a size larger than what I need. It is a very well made bra in the same style as the Birds of a Feather bra.
I read in advance that Tutti Rouge bras run small in the cups. I have to agree with that, but I think the issue is also one of shape. This bra has a very wide, shallow fit. Which works well for my breasts (wide, tall root; shallow). Because my shape aligns with the shape the bra is designed for, I think I made the right decision getting my usual size. If I were more projected or FOT, however, I think I would have needed to go a cup size up. I'm also a shade too FOB for this bra, which causes a tiny bit of wrinkling at the ...bottom of the cups. The wires on this bra are rather wide -- slightly too tall in the center for me, and a bit high on the sides. They don't poke, but they do dig in a smidge. It's not too uncomfortable to wear, but I can feel it constantly. I've only worn the bra a few times so far; I hope that it stretches out somewhat and becomes more comfortable. (I'll edit this review to reflect that, if it happens.*) Because it's so wide, this bra has a minimizing effect. It gives a smaller, flatter shape, which isn't particularity sexy, but which I appreciate for occasions requiring modest dress. Writing this all out, it starts to sound as if this bra doesn't fit at all. It really does, but it's not perfect. Still, none of the flaws in fit are visible, when the bra is on -- and the Liliana is an incredibly pretty bra.
*Edit: I've worn this bra several times now. It has yet to soften, as regards the wires. Additionally, I become more aware of the shape-mismatch at the bottom of the cups, each time I wear it. Alas, I've decided that I am simply too FOB for this bra. Read more 203 more words
This is a gorgeous, totally adorable bra and I am so sad it can't work for me. The band is too tight for me, I need a 30, but even if I got a 30 band, the cups are way too shallow for me unfortunately. The color is beautiful, the pattern is cute, the lace is lovely, and the strap adjusters are totally cute. Basically the cutest bra I've ever seen and I wish they made a more projected version with the same pattern/details.
First of all this bra is beautiful, thank you dagobra! The band fits very comfortably, and the whole thing is super soft. I will have to shorten the straps (a typical alteration for me) to get a perfect fit, and add a small pad to the left cup to correct my asymmetry. Otherwise this bra is perfect; the cups are just the right depth and the wire width and wing height are spot on for me. The tops of the cups show slightly beneath lightweight knit clothes, but that is not a big issue for me. In short this bra makes me much happier with the appearance of my breasts than I have been in quite a while.
Adorable padded half cup bra, covered in luxorious-looking vanilla coloured satin fabric with a cute pink and blue poppy print. Absolutely freaking goregous colourway, even if the frillies could be toned down just a little bit.
The cups are wide (6.3"/16 cm) and shallow (10.2"/25.9 cm), causing the bottom and sides to be completely empty. I spill out the top and the gore doesn't tack, while simultaneously being so wide it sits on breast tissue. The half-adjustable straps are super stretchy and don't provide much in the way of support. However, it's still so, so soft, which makes it wonderfully comfortable and I feel like my boobs are wrapped in silky giftwrapping. Tutti Rouge have evidently put a lot of effort into this bra, but unfortunately it's for a shape that's completely different to mine. (sobs quietly)
Not a bad bra, pretty and elegant, but not right for me. Gore is too high for my rather close-set breasts. I think the cup volume seems true to size, has a somewhat shallow profile from the side.
This bra fit perfectly EXCITED the stupid mesh part on the top. I should have listened to the other reviewers when they warned about that. The bra feels amazing on and the material is so soft! The straps are also an issue, they are a little too wide for me and they won't tighten up enough and STAY. I really thought that heart tightener was adorable until I realized that's probably why the straps won't stay adjusted.
This is a very cute and sturdy feeling bra. I love the colour and lace detailing. Unfortunately, I tend to get a bit of a "pancake boob" effect, since I get the feeling it's for much shallower shapes than mine.
I love it. It's comfortable and gives a great rounded shape under clothes. The seams are still visible under thinner shirts, but fine under most my clothes.
The only issue I have, and it's not even that big of an issue, is the wire on the sides. There's about an inch and a half of extra empty channel, but I guess if there wasn't, the cup would either be too low or I'd be getting stabby wires.
Looks and things: Very pretty - I love this colourway even more than the earlier ivory one. The materials and quality are definitely worth a lot more than the $35 I paid.
Band: TIGHT! Definitely more of a 28 than a 30. Unfortunately the 32FF Betty I tried was a very loose 32 band and slightly too small in the cups, and I'm not sure that a 'true' 30GG exists in this bra. I wasn't sure if 32G would be as loose as the 32FF so I chose to risk the 30GG and use an extender.
Cups: I think they're true to size volume wise, or maybe ...on the smaller side of a GG. The wires are definitely wide and the bra is definitely shallow. Quite a few people have mentioned that it's similar to the Curvy Kate Tease Me/Thrill Me and I'd have to agree.
The gore is kind of iffy and doesn't tack if I'm not sitting/standing very straight. I think this is due to the combination of too wide wires and too shallow cups.
The cups/underwires extend below the band of the bra and I really dislike this. The bra tends to slide down because of shallowness but then it's also pretty tight so it hurts my ribs.
Straps: too far apart for me. Also much too long for me. They slip off constantly https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> I also dislike making it fully racerback with a clip because then it attaches just under my neck and the pressure there is uncomfortable after a while. I need to try it with an accessory that brings the straps closer but not all the way together.
It looks nice enough on, and the pictures do make it look like it fits well so I'm not sure about this one. I don't know if I want to keep this bra, but I may as well since $10 return shipping is not worth it for one bra.
Update: May 22 2014 I've kept it and find the cups are too big for me most of the month. I've taken to wearing it with push up pads at the bottom (hello cakes on a plate!). I can't really laze around or slouch in this bra because the underwires come too low and hit my ribs. It's pretty much reserved as a bra for going out in winter (padding + summer = bleeehhhh). I have tried all four colourways of this bra. This one runs true to the Liliana sizing, which means that I sized up one cup size. The band is in the smaller of the two sizes I routinely wear and requires one hook from an extender, just like the cornflower blue and vanilla Lilianas, but in contrast to the Betty which I do not need an extender for. The colour is a very light blue, verging on mint in the lace but obviously blue in the band. It is much more green than the powder blue Betty. ... I took the pictures in natural light and I think they give a fairly accurate depiction of the colour. The band characteristically curves upward and appears short compared to the cups.
I am quite satisfied with Tutti Rouge's customer service. I returned some bras back in February and asked them to replace them with two bras from their spring collection when they became available, and both were sent to me without any prompting.
This bra is new so I have not worn it yet, but I expect that it will be similar to the other Lilianas I own. Read more 99 more words
Really pretty, but a weird fit on me. I get a little orange in a glass, the wires are a little too wide and the cups a little too shallow right through at the center so they almost flare out on the inside edges. It's better than quadraboob but probably just as visible under clothing for my full-all-around shape. A full-on-top girl might find it to be just the thing, because that is where the deepest line is. My only complaint about the construction of the bra is the material used in the wings/back. While it looks good and feels wonderful now, it doesn't look like it would be sturdy enough for long term wear given that I like to wear my bands TIGHT.
I have tried this bra in one other colourway, Ivory/floral. This one runs true to the Betty sizing, which means that I sized up one cup size and the band is comfortable in the smaller of my two regular sizes. The colour is more obviously blue than the powder blue Liliana, which verges on mint. I took the pictures in natural light and I think they give a fairly accurate depiction of the colour. The band characteristically curves upward and appears short compared to the cups.

I'm somewhat disappointed that Tutti Rouge has decided to add a label from coppafeel, both because I find the charity's name offensive and in light of recent scientific reports about the limited utility of monthly breast exams. I don't feel this kind of advertisement belongs in bras; if nothing else, it leads to a lot of heated debate.

This is a darling bra! I love the colors and print. Love the frills. Unfortunately the cups are too large. I ordered a cup size larger then my normal size and it was too big :/ An important note: the wires do not extend through the ends of the wire casing on the bra. There is empty space on each end.
I am normally a 32H in Panache. Got this in a 32HH and it fits my smaller breast just fine with only a tiny bit of quad-boobing on the larger one. The way the padding is constructed and the way the lace lies at the top of the cup makes that almost unnoticable to anyone but me under even a thin t-shirt, though.
The design and color (lilac) is beautiful. The materials are soft, very comfortable and feel like they are well-made. The cups are definitely really shallow compared to any other bra from most brands that i have in this size range. I do end up having to ...scoop and swoop quite often throughout the day.
The thing that doesn't work for me with this bra is that the band, while having 3 rows of hooks in the back, doesn't feel very supportive. I feel like it keeps slipping downward in the front throughout the day. I like my bras to sit right up in the inframammary fold, and this one doesn't. Probably, that is because of the lack of immediate projection at the bottom of the cups. This results in increasing quadboob on my larger side throughout the day, and the need to scoop and swoop more often. I've tried tightening the band to the 2nd and 3rd hooks, but it only increases the quadboobing and doesn't help keep the bra lifted at all. Might have to try my luck with a 30J someday. For my close-set, FOT, narrow-set boobs... this bra was a terrible fit.
I quadboobed in this one, even with the nice stretch lace at the top of the cup. The wires were also too wide so I had some empty space on the sides. It is also too separate for me with not enough room next to the gore, so it pushed my boobs away from each other, when they sit naturally very close.
The bra still gives a nice, rounded shape. It's also a bit of a hybrid, since it is a bit of a plunge balconnette. It really holds you in as well. If it were more suited to my shape, this is the kind of bra I would wear to work.
It is very well made and I really like the fit of the band. I am really hoping that Tutti Rouge brings out some more shapes in the future that would be more compatible with those with more projection and narrow roots.
EDIT: Wires came out on about the fifth wear, I was rather sad. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
I really wanted to love this bra. I think I may have for a little bit as well.
This bra was suggested for me by bratabase in 36GG. I say this 38HH on listing and thought I would try it out.
Beautiful cornflower/periwinkle color. With nice metal detailing and little lace and ribbon detail. The bad part about the lace area is it adds to weird quad boob effect. Overall I think the band is slightly tighter ant I expected and the cups are rather shallow.
It fits fairly while ...if I just lay it over my chest, but even a slight bit of picking my breast up and I have major quad boob and cant feel the bottom of the cups. This bra also slightly pushed my breast tissue into my arm pits. This bra seems to place most of my breast tissue near my arms and the cup under the arm goes up a bit high.
I was going to keep this, because I have so little options right now. Then I just wore it for around 30 minutes and realized my are pits were burning. I new the cups went up rather high on my 5 foot frame, but when I looked in the mirror I was shocked I have a red rash that hurts all too good from this bra. That is the reason Im going to sell it now.
I still may ask for fitting help to see why it is so wonky. Read more 160 more words
This is my favorite and best fitting bra that I own. I have it in pink and am planning on purchasing more colors. The band is nice and snug, and I have a difficult time finding bands that are tight enough. It has also held up really well in the wash.
I bought 28F in vanilla and 28FF in cornflower blue (I like vanilla color more and it fit better, but the cups are short so I also kept 28FF for fuller coverage though there is a little empty space in the bottom of the cups. 28FF also looks better under clothes, it gives rounder shape). Both are of great quality and have a snug band. Bras are soft and comfortable with cotton inside, central gore is delicate. The cups are wide and shallow in comparison to Curvy Kate and Freya and great for my shape.
Great that you like it so much! I'm happy it came to a good home :)
