I'm 50-50 on this bra. It baaaaasically fits, but there are some tweaky things about it that make it undesirable. Let's break it down:
Pros: Soft, padded straps! AND the back clasp is also covered in a thin, soft padding, and the hook portion is long enough that the hooks don't ever touch my skin, if I wore it on the loosest hooks. It's kind of surprising how little things like that make a bra more pleasant to wear, as if it were some kind of super-genius technology. It's not. It's just soft fabric and padding. I've always found VS to be a bit ahead of the curve on ...things like this, despite their other flaws. Looks-wise, it's an inoffensive black lace bra. I really, really like the back clasps that attach the straps to the bra, allowing for standard or cross-back fit. They aren't just regular little hooks (risky business) but in fact have little pop-n-lock plastic clasps that seem pretty fool-proof. And since I'm one of those people whose pecs/armpits seem to always be irritated by the outer edge of the cups/straps, wearing a bra racer- or cross-back spares me this sort of chafing. So, kudos for the option and the mechanism, VS. Otherwise, pretty much every other part of the look/fit scores a "fine". It's fine.
Cons: I think it's time to face facts with this one. By and large, I don't. like. molded. cup. bras. First of all, I think it'd be much sexier if it weren't opaque lining beneath this fancy lace. More importantly, I just feel like they're so up in my business, trying too hard to change my shape, and more often than not they give me fit issues for it. In this case, since there's a discrepancy between my shape/size and the bra's molded cup, the gore doesn't tack properly. Since the band on this bra (and VS bras in general) is very stretchy, I could probably solve it by going down a band size and up a cup, but OH WAIT. THERE IS NO SMALLER BAND. OR BIGGER CUP. Sorry for the CAPSY, but what the ever-loving-eff Victoria's Secret? I am usually not the biggest-boobed lady in the room, and I'm already at the maximum cup size AND smallest band size?
This is madness. (This is Sparta?) Have we tried to petition VS to expand into the full-bust market yet? Because I'm sooooo tired of trying to half-ass a fit into a bra that would otherwise be fine. Read more 306 more words
It is Beautiful and has a super comfy memory-foam type padding. It just doesn't fit me right, I wear a 30DD. No poking, no stabbing, very comfortable otherwise.
Somehow this bra gives me an ideal cleavage, even though it does not fit. The gore does not tack, but the cup is wide enough and band is only slightly too big.
I got this light turquoise/dark aqua plunge bra in a trade. It is a padded plunge. She altered the band so this bra fits like a 28E. It has gel in the cups for a push-up effect that gives me awesome cleavage. It's nice to have straps that aren't too wide and no gore. another reason I love this bra. <3
This is my "go to" bra, and it doesn't even fit right. There is gaping fabric on top and you can tell from my side pictures, also eventhough my breasts are wide apart, the bra is too wide for me, as the sides of my nipples tend to peak out when I scoop my breasts for the added cleavage. Also, I am unsure as to how to measure the cup separation on this bra, not really sure where it ends or begins, as it's almost seamless, but not really. Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated!
I have never worn this bra before so I do not know how it will feel. These bras were purchased for me in the wrong size so I could not wear them. Like I said they are new with the tags on and in excellent condition.
Last bra I ever bought at VS (back in 2011, I think?), knowing it wouldn't actually fit me but not really understanding how poorly it would fit. I had a gift card, I thought it was pretty, and I wanted it anyway.
The band is so large that the center gore sits away from my chest. The padding doesn't really push up so much as almost push out the entirety of my bottom heavy breasts from the shallow cup.
Straps are way too long for me.
I'm sure this is fine for someone who's actually a 34D, but I'm really not one.
This bra fits true to size and has plenty of padding to give you plenty of cleavage! As a strapless it stays up surprisingly well. I'm very sad that it isn't in my correct size as I love this one.
I thought this was my best and most comfortable bra, but now that I know how to properly wear bras and where the underwire is supposed to be, I realize that it's not my best in regards to breast health. One of my inframammary folds is a bit higher than the other, and I noticed that this bra causes that breast to be squished downwards even when I scoop. I do think it has stretched out in the band. Even so, it was and is very comfortable for an underwire bra. I don't feel the wires poking me, but maybe that's becuase I need a smaller band size. I will say, when I first purchased it, it was comfortable then as far as wires and straps are concerned.
This is the only VS bra that I've tried on that fits the way it should. Full coverage bra (for VS). Only a tad bit of quad boob if I stick my breast way out far. The straps don't tighten very much. Luckly, the shortest I can make it was perfect for me.
