I purchased because I simply needed a moulded smooth bra option. This works well enough. Wacoal tends to run small in the band and this bra is no exception. It’s modeled after the Wacoal Basic Beauty bra. Unlike the Basic Beauty, this bra goes up to a U.S. H cup in a 32 band. The cup is more like a spacer bra material and you can see through it a bit if you hold it up to the light. The side of the cup on the outside has a nice lace detail. The inside of the cup has an inner sling to help keep your tissue pushed forward. ...On me it gives a nice rounded smooth look. The straps are semi sheer up the front till it connects to a soft touch elastic at the top of my shoulder. The straps also sit in more, perfect for narrower shoulders. The back band is two layers of sheer stretch mesh. The outer layer has little black polka dots. The back clasp is a 4x3 closure with all hardware being black. There is a little silver diamond gem flower hanging from a little black bow on the center gore. As far as over all fit goes, I do get some double bubble in the upper cup when I pull my arms back. It’s undetectable under clothing. The center gore also lifts off my sternum because my boobs are too close together to allow the wires of the cup to sit on my chest. Not perfect but it gets the job done. I wish there were more options for smooth moulded cups with narrow wires on a small band available. Read more 169 more words
Size is more like a 34D. Not very good separation in cups. I get cleavage/uniboob. Cups tend to fall over the band if it is too loose. Not a problem if worn with straps.
Size M is supposed to fit 34D/DD. I usually wear 34D in Wacoal so cups are too big and I get a uniboob situation. I belive this could be comfortable for someone with a slightly larger cup size. Bra is now for sale here on bratabase.
Front is created of a padded sheet with moulded cups and fused along the edges to an outer stretchy fabric. Back is made of one stretchy layer.
This bra looks beautiful, and I love the shape of it. It’s close to the bullet bra look I’m going for without being overly dramatic. The band is quite snug, so some may consider going up a band size and down a cup. A 34D would probably fit me more comfortably, but I like the support of the 32 band. I appreciate the not-stretch straps. They feel very sturdy and won’t stretch out over time. I have noticed a bit of itchiness from the lace and trim detailing, but I hope the fabric will soften as I was and wear it.
Nice little unlined demi bra with center-pull straps (hard to find in a 30 band!). Very projected for a 30DD. Cup width is nice and narrow. Thin, stretchy material can accommodate asymmetry. Comfortable and pretty sexy due to the sheerness of it. Seamless cups make my breasts look rounded. Doesn’t do much to enhance my volume, but I think it will be nice under sweaters and blouses. Doubt I’ll wear it with t-shirts.
For measuring cup depth, I’ve started using a handy “flexible curve sewing ruler” my husband got me, because you can curve it to the shape of the bra and put a little tension on it, the ...same way your breast does in the cup. I think this is the most accurate way to measure. Using this method, the bra measures 8.75 inches deep. When I measure the bra over my knee, I get approximately the same measurement.
UPDATE: After wearing for a day (under a t-shirt around the house), I can confirm that this bra is quite minimizing for me. The closed off top of the cups pushes me down and to the sides a bit. That said, it’s very comfortable. So, I’ll still use it for outfits where shape doesn’t really matter.
UPDATE 2: This is not as comfortable as I initially thought. The wires are kinda poky and by the end of the day, I want it off. Read more 122 more words
I bought this bra on the Wacoal.ca site, and I used my "new customer" 10% off code. It was on sale for $28.00 cnd, and with the discount came to around $25.00. Pretty good deal! I ordered 3 of these and 2 pairs of briefs for free shipping.
I'm low set, soft, droopy, and short/narrow rooted - and this bralette holds me in but doesn't lift me. It's what I expected from a bralette though! It was extrememly hard to measure too, so take the measurements with a grain of salt please! I usually wear a 30F, and this one is a "34". Band is too large for ...me, but I did that on purpose due to sensory issues lately with snug bands. It's quite thick and sturdy for a bralette, which makes it feel pretty secure and comfy. 3 clasps for adjustability. Straps are long enough for me (probably wouldn't actually fit that well on a shorter frame).
This bralette is very comfortable, and quite pretty. It's pretty much a lightely stretchable mesh, with a second layer of mesh on each cup area inside.
Excellent quality, appearance, and comfort - especially for the price!! Read more 87 more words
This is a nice bra. Tall, narrow cups with a LOT of projection for the size. Stretchy fabric is very forgiving and works well with asymmetry. Comfortable and soft. Cups are tall, but not too overwhelming on my petite frame. Center-pull straps are awesome - no cutting into armpits. Seamless cups give a nice rounded shape.
I tried this in a 30DDD in store (so unable to get measurements), and it was much more fabric. Looked like a granny bra on me in that size. When the proportions are right, it’s reasonably attractive.
I am shallow, have about 4 fingers' worth of space between my breasts, and have slightly tuberous breasts (there is some projection, but not a lot).
I was advised to go up a band size in this style because it runs small. (I don't even know if this comes in a 30?) 32s are usually moving around and sliding all over me, but this bra stays put, which is good.
I think it is probably either due to the ribcage proportions on the 32 or the assumption of someone's height wearing this bra, but I have some excess cup fabric (for lack of a better word) near the armpits/tail of spence on each side. After wearing this bra for several hours, the excess fabric near my armpits causes chaffing. The fabric bunches. I'm wondering if I was taller (I'm 5'1") if this would be an issue.
Comfortable with rounded shape. No digging under breasts. I wish the wings were a bit shorter, so it wouldn't cut through my armpit so high. If I were not so modest, I would feel comfortable wearing this bra without a shirt.
It is pretty comfortable for wearing regularly, but the wire goes too far back into my armpit (too wide) and when I move around (read: slouch) it pokes me in the armpit (too tall). When I swoop and scoop there is empty space at the bottom and sides and the cup wrinkles, I spill over the top slightly, and the wire moves around. What I suspect is there is not enough immediate projection at the bottom (hope I'm using that term correctly), which pushes the bottom of my breast upward in the cup where there is more room, and then basically everything gets moved around a bit? The ...cup is simply not molded to my shape and I think would better suit someone with a wider root and less immediate projection.
All of that makes it sound like it's a terrible fit, but I have figured out a method to make it work well for me. To fit the molded cup well I first swoop and scoop and then do a sort of reverse swoop and scoop where I put my hand on the top of my breast inside the cup and push down and out into my armpit while holding the wire in place so I don't spill out past the wire, basically making sure the wire sits comfortably where it's supposed to and the tissue fills out the more empty parts of the cup. I do this when I put it on and it stays in place most of the day so long as I don't do any jumping around. The wire is okay ('cept for when it pokes my armpit), the band fits really well, the gore sits where it's supposed to, and I like the shape the molded cups give even though it's unnatural for my breasts.
Not my favorite bra, but not terrible either. I've only recently begun my quest for a fitting bra and when I found this on sale at the store I impulse-bought two. I'm keeping and wearing both of them for now as a part of my daily rotation, but I'm on the hunt for a t-shirt bra that suits my natural shape better. Read more 253 more words
cups are too shallow for my shape, but because it's a sports bra I can get away with it. It's currently one cup size too small so wearing it for a long stretch is uncomfortable. The strip of bias tape along the bottom of the band is uncomfortable and can dig in and roll up. Not sure if have the right size cup would fix this issue. I wear this for higher impact activities and it works well.
I have a Wacoal in a 32DD that tends to gape a bit at the top of the cups most of the time, so I was a little wary of the same issue with this one. I did try the 32DD in this bra, but was experiencing serious quadboobing from the lace overlay. The 32DDD eliminated that problem, although the lace is ever so slightly loose up top, but it doesn't show under clothing. It reminds me of the Natori Feather bra in the style and fit, but I feel a bit less squashed down by it than the Natori which is something I really like. Since the band is more lacy and stretchy than my other Wacoal, it feels much less restrictive off the bat. Plus, it's so pretty and not just the usual t-shirt bra I'm relegated to. Seeing as I *just* bought it, I'll update once I've taken it around the block a few times, though I'm very happy with it so far
Super comfortable, awesome shape under clothing. Nice lace, no seems. Perfect bra for me at the moment.
If the gore had been any wider, I would not have bought it though. Gore isn't a perfect fit as it is. It comes forward a little. But it's not causing any trouble.
This bra is truly a lucky find for me, as smooth seamless-cupped t-shirt bras that fit a 26 underbust are almost impossible to find. Especially without importing from Poland!
The band is lace on the outside and mesh on the inside, so it's quite cool. The elastic is covered with some velvety fabric so it doesn't irritate. And most importantly the band is exceptionally small for a "30" band, which is excellent for me. Brand new, it is just tight enough on the innermost hook, so I will have to alter it as time goes on. I also have this bra in the purple colorway, and it does stretch ...out noticeably over time. There are 3 columns of 2 hooks.
The straps are a thick, velvety texture which is as comfy as non-sport bras get. Which is not very comfortable IMO, but it's all relative. They are fully adjustable, but I don't need that.
The gore is low and narrow enough not to rest on breast tissue even though I'm quite close set.
The cups fit very nicely. They are molded foam cups that hold their own shape without a boob in them, but are softer compared to other molded cups. Most molded cups I try have the problem of flattening my boobs, buckling over at the bottom, and gaping at the top - probably because they are too shallow. For whatever reason, this bra has none of those issues. They are closed enough at the top that despite my FOB shape and short roots, I don't get any noticeable gaping, even on my smaller side. The cups definitely cope with my asymmetry well.
Compared to the purple colorway, the narrower gore on this version alleviates the problems I had with the purple colorway. The wires no longer sit on breast tissue in the middle, and sides of the cups don't dig into my armpits.
The wires are slightly too wide for me, but it's not uncomfortable and the bra doesn't cut into my armpits much.
It gives a shape that I like under clothing. Definitely not as lifted or centered as Comexim, but rounded and invisible even under clingy white t-shirts. Read more 251 more words
The underwire moves a bit and pinches when I slouch. I think the band is too wide (for reference, underbust is 29.5 loose and 28.5snug). The cups are soft and fit well. The straps are a little wideset for narrow shoulders.
If the cups were closer together, this would be a good fit for me. This bra isn't glamorous but it's comfortable enough to wear something strapless and dance. It stays in place decently.
Update: Upon normal wear, the underwires poke and rub under my arms. Bummer.
This is a really nice, smooth t-shirt bra. The padding isn’t too thick, but it does tone down the nip poke to a reasonable level, which I love. I also love the color, which is just on the pink side of nude. Pink is my jam! That and the lace on the bottom cup edging and band sold me on it - it keeps it from being too plain and boring.
The band is slightly less snug than the 34D - Wacoal » Embrace Lace Contour Bra (853291) , which is good for me. ...The inside of the band is also less rough. The gore tacks and the cup edges lie flat. The cup is filled out fine on my larger side, but there’s some slight gapping on the smaller side. I don’t mind it, though - it’s not enough that I feel the need to add anything to that cup. This. bra provides good support, stays put in my IMF, and gives my splayed boobs cleavage and a nice round shape.
The wires initially seemed fine, although they came up higher under my arms than I’m used to. After wearing it for a few hours, though, the wire channel on my smaller side started to poke my armpit a little. It’s not terrible, but it does interfere with comfort a bit. It would be amazing if bras with different size cups/wires on each side were a thing! This one’s not perfect, but overall a good purchase. Read more 153 more words
I love the way I look in this! The plunge stye does wonders for my wide-set, sorta east-west boobs - wearing this, I can honestly say this is the first time in my life I've had actual cleavage! Holy moly! Also, side note - I'm amazed that I actually fill out a D cup! The cups sit flat, and even on my smaller side there's no gaping. Score!
The cups have a contoured inner layer with a layer of stretch lace on top. It takes a bit of swoop scooping and adjusting the lace to get everything to sit properly, but once I get it, it looks ...amazing. The lace is such a pretty touch. I feel sexy. No issues with fit, all seems as it should be. Gore sits flat, wires don't poke anywhere, and the straps adjust to the length I need. The band is snug, and I feel supported.
Comfort wise, it's not bad. The material of the band is slightly scratchy, but I don't find it overly irritating. The lace edging doesn't bother my skin. I know I'll get used to the snug band, all the bras I've been wearing are so stretched out. Honestly, any minor comfort gripes are 100% overshadowed by how I feel wearing this. According to your pictures I think you have actually closeset but splayed boobs.
I have a similar shape with firm tissue, and my cleavage solution is Cleo Toni or Comexim Halfcup. I guess they may look good on you too if you wear them in a proper size.
smjwzhan Thank you! I’m still learning about this, and Is shape the tough part for me. I guessed they were wide set based on the amount of space between them (3 fingers) lower on my sternum when the gore rests - but now that you mention it, they’re closer together (2 fingers) right at the top where the breast tissue starts.
In my opinion, cleavage appears seldom when you put on right size bras. It's only possible when you have closeset boobs and wear bras with low or narrow center gores.
Something to keep in mind is that most descriptors refer to how your breasts look/behave when *supported*. So if your tissue is less firm or pendulous, your breasts may appear one way when braless, but completely different in a properly fitting bra. For me, doing a "hand bra" or bending over and seeing how my breasts "sit" gives a better idea of some shape aspects. I am very, VERY close set, but without a bra, it is not quite as obvious.
4x3 hook and eye closure? Nice!
Looks comfy,
