I had this bra in 30DD, same color, sold it trying to keep a minimal bra wardrobe. Then I see it for cheap and buy it again. This is simply a great, comfy option for a t-shirt bra.
My other moulded bras right now consist of a 28E Deco which mostly fits but is still pretty uncomfortable, not something I want to wear every day of the week. It gapes easily. My other is a 28E Deco soft cup, which fits terribly and gets painful after a long day.. still searching for it in a 28F.
This bra is great because it is comfy - not prone to ...gaping, smooth silhouette. Nothing like a stiff Deco. It isn't a perfect fit, but it tends to deal well with my shape, just creasing slightly at the bottom of the cup. I do believe the wires are prone to stretching wide, so if you need narrow cups it is best not to wear the band tight. My old one had a looser band but seemed narrower, while when i pull this newer one on the wires seem wide.
This bra is a must have for me - until I find something better. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Read more 98 more words
I can't believe I've waited so long to try this one! I'm more of a 30E but I find this 30DD to be a good fit - I think a 30DDD would be too big. I bought it used but the band is still tighter than expected. I was expecting the worst after my last B.Tempt'd Wacoal bra!
The beige color is one of the lightest beige bras I've owned - I'm not sure if that's a good thing for me, but it might help someone. It's much lighter than my Natori Feathers beige bra.
The cups are soft but thin - I've been on an unlined bra and bralette kick, so honestly it feels a little thick to me, but it will be nice to have something with more padding.
I think it might be a size too small given that I get a bit of quad-boob after swooping and scooping. Even so, it's so comfortable I've forgotten I was wearing it, and after a few minutes of settling the quad-boobing isn't noticeable, even under a tight shirt. I'm FOB and shallow with tall roots (I think? Shape is still a bit of a mystery to me, to be honest). Band feels good and supportive, underwire doesn't poke at the armpit or the gore, and it looks great on. As a bonus, it's thick enough it'll hide my perky nipples even when it gets cold out (which is always a challenge!). Altogether very happy with it, and will keep an eye out for discounts on a 30E to test my hypothesis re: sizing https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
Nice little unlined demi bra with center-pull straps (hard to find in a 30 band!). Very projected for a 30DD. Cup width is nice and narrow. Thin, stretchy material can accommodate asymmetry. Comfortable and pretty sexy due to the sheerness of it. Seamless cups make my breasts look rounded. Doesn’t do much to enhance my volume, but I think it will be nice under sweaters and blouses. Doubt I’ll wear it with t-shirts.
For measuring cup depth, I’ve started using a handy “flexible curve sewing ruler” my husband got me, because you can curve it to the shape of the bra and put a little tension on it, the ...same way your breast does in the cup. I think this is the most accurate way to measure. Using this method, the bra measures 8.75 inches deep. When I measure the bra over my knee, I get approximately the same measurement.
UPDATE: After wearing for a day (under a t-shirt around the house), I can confirm that this bra is quite minimizing for me. The closed off top of the cups pushes me down and to the sides a bit. That said, it’s very comfortable. So, I’ll still use it for outfits where shape doesn’t really matter.
UPDATE 2: This is not as comfortable as I initially thought. The wires are kinda poky and by the end of the day, I want it off. Read more 122 more words
This is a nice bra. Tall, narrow cups with a LOT of projection for the size. Stretchy fabric is very forgiving and works well with asymmetry. Comfortable and soft. Cups are tall, but not too overwhelming on my petite frame. Center-pull straps are awesome - no cutting into armpits. Seamless cups give a nice rounded shape.
I tried this in a 30DDD in store (so unable to get measurements), and it was much more fabric. Looked like a granny bra on me in that size. When the proportions are right, it’s reasonably attractive.
The Wacoal Women's Plus-Size Basic Beauty Full Figure Underwire (855192) was one of my fav bras, but I had it in a 32D and when I lost weight it stopped fitting. Sadly they didn't make smaller band sizes for this model. Which sucked because it had the perfect back ("leotard"?) for someone with narrow shoulders like mine. BUT I just realized they make this bra, which has the same back and comes in 30DD! Bonus it is also has some light padding, so unlike the Full Figure Underwire, I can wear it under some tees. So yeah, great bra for small band size/larger cup size and also for narrow/sloped shoulders.
Friend recommended this bra to me. Fits well, is a bit tight, so I wear it on the most loose setting, which is fine since it will stretch with time. The cups are a bit tight on the top, but I'm not quite quad-boobing. The band in the back goes pretty low, which is nice for shirts that are low-cut in the back. Can comfortably wear this bra for an entire work day (8-12 hours).
Pleasantly surprised by this bra. Soft cups (two layers of mesh), plus underwire. The mesh has some give, but it's secure, at least at my size. The band along the top of the cup is stretchier. It's one layer of mesh in the wings, two rows of hooks. The straps have some heft and are fully adjustable. The tiny scallops lining everything are soft. It's all built to be soft against the skin. I can't tell if the cups fit me the way they're supposed to, but the underwire and gore fit great and the rest seems pretty forgiving. I may try a 30DDD if I get a ...chance, but I think I'm just not used to demi coverage. For better or worse, this bra fully embraces my natural shape. It may not work with every top, but it's a nice option to have.
Update: been up and back down in size and literally forgot I had this bra. Revisiting it, I want to mention how much it flattens me out the center and points me out to the sides. Still a nice break from structured t-shirt bras, but I would only wear it under loose tops that can't possibly show (lack of) cleavage. Read more 95 more words
Just doesn’t fit. The band is too tight even with the bra on backwards. The cups are too small as well, maybe if it didn’t have the extra push up padding it would be a better fit. Going to return it but I think it’s discontinued so I won’t be able to try another size.
This is a decent fit for a molded bra but I just don't like it. The cups are too tall so they cut into my armpits and there is empty space in the area near where the straps connect. It feels too full coverage for me. I don't like the feeling of the gore because it's tall and too wide. The cups have side support slings made of stretchy, thin mesh. They don't do anything for me because I don't have much outer fullness. The band fits like a loose 28. The wires themselves feel flatter than what I've felt in other bras, which I thought was interesting and could be more comfortable. It might fit me better in a 30D. The fabric is soft and I think it could be a nice t-shirt bra for someone with a different shape.
As with so many Wacoal padded bras, the difference in proportions between 30DD and 30DDD is weird. 30DDD gets so very wide and tall, whereas the 30DD is just kinda wide but not tall. I don’t know - this style kind of confounds me.
Straps are very wide set for the band size. Cups are very shallow.
Unlike the 30DDD, straps on the 30DD are fully adjustable.
Whoa, the band on this is really tight, even for a Wacoal. 30DD measured at 22.5 unstretched and 28.5 stretched. Cups lack any immediate projection, and straps are very wide set.
I was surprised that I like this bra. Seeing it on the hanger, I thought, “No way,” because it looked kind of granny-ish. It’s pretty cute on, though. Gives a really nice, round shape.
The band is quite firm. My snug UB is 29, and the 30 still feels very snug (I just bought it, so no break in, yet). The cups run large, IMO. My bust is 36-ish inches standing and 38 leaning, and my horizontal perimeter is 9 inches, but the DD fits very well. The material is stretchy, so I think it’s forgiving. It’s got good immediate projection, which is something that I need. Normally 30DDD ...cups are too small for me in Wacoal (and 30G becomes surprisingly wide and tall), but I’ve always tried their molded styles. This was a very different shape than what I’ve previously experienced in this brand. I have the ever-so-tiniest bit of spillage on my larger breast, but nothing that’s noticeable unless I’m really looking for it. I have even-leaning-toward FOB fullness, and I fill it out in all parts of the cup, even though the cups are somewhat tall.
The wires are surprisingly (and wonderfully) narrow at 5 inches. This is so hard to find and is one of my biggest requirements. Large wires swoop back into my armpit, pulling my breasts with them. That flattens me out, and it causes the cups to cut into my armpits where the cup meets the strap (that hurts!). That doesn’t happen with this bra, especially because (god bless Wacoal), it has center-pull straps. Those are so hard to find in a small band!
I’m close set and was worried about the 1-inch gore, but it seems to be fine. In most bras, the wires sit on my inner tissue, but with this bra, the gore lies super flat against my chest.
The cups are “lined” with spacer foam, but it’s the tiniest amount. I worried about this, too, because I’m used to unlined bras making me look pointy. This does not. It’s rounded and mostly hides my nipples. You can see them through the bra, but not through my shirt. It gives a nice, rounded appearance that doesn’t add or subtract from my natural shape. Just brings everything to the front and smooths it out. Read more 271 more words
I will be returning - pointy shape and cup doesn't have enough projection at the bottom. I usually have a great fit with Wacoal bras, but not this one. Cups are made with some stretchy material overall, it has a firm stretch....like an expensive bathing suit.
I've had this bra for several years, and it was my only strapless until very recently.
The only thing that I really think is worth noting is that I always feel it gives me a SUPER "east/west" shape, even though when looking at it off the body, the majority of the cup depth/shape appears to be towards the middle.
Very soft and comfy materials. Band felt good and very supportive but was somehow also stretchy. I felt like my normal size fit, so I was actually surprised when I was measuring. The lined/semi-padded half cup with stretch lace on the upper portion was nice for me, as I am full on bottom with short roots. The wires were way too wide for me, but I am very narrow and projected. The lined portion wrinkled at the top and the stretch lace was nearly too tight in the inner parts of my breasts. Possibly great for full on bottom with broader roots.
I once loved this bra, too. Effortless to wear and comfortable.....
