This bra is really beautiful and has a nice slightly pointy retro look to it, as suggested by the name. It makes me feel like I'm in Mad Men. However, it is much too small for me and cuts in at the top.
The straps are far too wide for me, and chafe really badly where they connect to the bra near my armpit. The padding in the cups makes it hard to tell, but I don't seem to be completely filling the cups despite my being (what I believe to be) FOB. The band seems to get pushed down a little lower than it should, but stays in place.
Cup runs very big in this model.... I measure and typically fit a 30F (29/36) and the 30DD was projected enough- the only overspill was very slightly at the sides. (I confirmed this by trying on another 30DD in store..... yep this one is definitely bigger.) Band is an awesome fit- stays put but not overly binding, and the gore doesn't dig in so far. Very light and cute.....retro but not too retro. A good find overall https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
This is the first 30 band bra I have kept, so I don't have too much to compare it to. The band is tighter than all my 32 band bras, and takes some getting used to, but does not leave any marks. It does ride up after some wear and movement, so I could probably go down a band size. The cup size is adequate for one side, but too small for the other (cuts in to top of breast tissue). Because the one cup is too small, and there is give in the band, the center gore is pushed outward and does not lay flat on my sternum. The lace is nice and does not irritate, but it is visible under sheer fitted shirts.
This is the first bra that I've purchased that actually mostly fits me. It's comfortable, and for the first time in my life I'm actually excited to put it on in the morning as opposed to dying to take it off all day. I do have to re-scoop and swoop during the day because the band is too big, but everything else is great. The construction of the cups, band, and gore seem sturdy, and the cups are molded well for my shape.I will say that it's not particularly pretty, but it makes for an excellent t-shirt bra.
The strap is a bit itchy but that usually goes away within a week after it is broken in. It also seems to be smaller then a normal 30" I'm used to, even within the same brand(which i hear is normal) but it isn't uncomfortable and it will stretch out a tad after the break in. So if you are inbetween bands i would suggest trying the bigger one first. I do get some quadboobing but its on the bottom inside where nobody can see, this just isn't the right style of bra for my shape. It's not noticable unless my shirt is off, no matter what kind of shirt i have on or how tight it is, so i will deal. But it is a plunge which doesn't really work on shallow or full on bottom breasts which i have both of so if you are either I would pass.
My first bra in my new size and the best bra I have ever had on! The band was a little scratchy at first but after a week long break-in i no longer feel it. And it seems to vary from bra to bra in the same style(i bought 2, only one was scratchy at first) It fits perfectly and appears very nice/seamlessly under shirts. Straps adjust all the way which is nice, and it doesn't stretch out during the day. Very comfortable.
Great Bra but for my shape it didn't fit well...I would say this is better for someone with more rounded boobs as mine are fuller at the bottom. I love the vintage details! The only problem I have is the gore pokes and is extremely uncomfrotable
Not a terrible fit, but does cut in too much at the top of the cup rather than being open. I don't fully fill out the bottom of the cup either. The gore doesn't quiiite lie flat, but it's close. None of this is noticeable under clothes, so it's still wearable but not a perfect fit. The quality is great though, and it's pretty!
