This bra is super stretchy in every part of it, from the wires to the cup fabric to the band. I wear on the last or middle set because of this. The cups work great on my different sized breasts. The lace on the outside of the cups doesn't lay flat is noticeable through shirts. But for only $9 it's pretty great. The only negative is that the gore is a little tall for me so it sits on a tiny bit of breast tissue, but since it's so soft and stretchy it doesn't hurt. The rhinestone attachment, is a little gaudy and it snags on knits and other bras in my drawer, I'll probably remove it.
Yay! Wacoal does make some fabulous lace bras. Not all of them, however, are fabulous for all of us. ;-) Glad you found one that works for you!
Wacoal is my go to bra. I just wish they made more matching panties. They do in their Wacoal Europe line, but not so much with what they produce for us here in the US
yeah, i wish that i could easily order Wacoal Japan bras. the only place i know of is on Shirohato's website and then it's around $30 shipping... the japanese style's fit me better, but the sizing is different and i wear a 70F in those. ugh.
This bra is extremely soft! Off the rack, In Bloom is meant for projected/FOB/spaced apart shapes, in my opinion. I altered the gore to make it work, personally, because it was very wide. It's a good basic bra with a 3-part cup - nothing extremely fancy, and it misses the "industrial beige bra" category by only a shade!
I thoroughly loved the Wacoal Basic Beauty: ugly, but blissfully comfortable. As my tissue began moving from my armpits to the center of my chest, I could no longer tolerate the gore. So glad you've found a Wacoal you can enjoy :-) :-)
Thank you DressTheTwins ! Out of curiosity, how do you think Wacoal runs? Are they large in the cup? :o These gores are truly wild, too!
It's completely irrational, I know, but the name of the brand actually puts me off! This is indeed a very pretty bra though.
kerniss The fabrics were much more accommodating than Panache/Cleo, and the wires were softer. I would wear a Wacoal again, but Panache/Cleo are banned. :-)
My experience with Wacoal is that they can be really inconsistent on how they fit from one style to another. I can't comfortably fit any of their moulded styles that are my size or the nearest sister sizes, my 2nd favorite bra/ best fit ever is the Wacoal enchantment though. I tried another unlined Wacoal not that long ago and sent it back (forgot the style name and number though...sigh...) because of how uncomfortably high the gore was - go figure, tall roots and still the gore was too tall!! At least the fabrics Wacoal tends to use aren't itchy. :P
Tried this in a 32 DD and the cups were big so I am in a 32D now and it kind of feels the same even though it measures smaller. The wing is taller then the 32DD by half an inch too. The lace is soft and smooth under knit shirts. I think I'm just not full enough on top. I'd still place this at the top of best fitting next to the Gossard Glossies bra. I like how this bra is softer then the Glossies.
I like this bra. The cups look a bit small and shallow off, but have some give to them. It cuts in slightly up top, but it's passed my wear-all-day tests and stays in my IMF. I don't think it's too minimizing, though I wouldn't mind less coverage. The spacer material is wonderful as always.
I chose this size when 30DDD was a bit big in the cup and tight in the band, so for me sizing down in the cup and up in the band worked. It also helps the cups be shorter, always a plus for me!
This bra is so matronly and ugly on me... and I love it! I saw the set for $15 at Dillard's sale, and I've been wanting a seamless unlined bra for summer. This is it! It's so incredibly soft and comfortable.
The band fits a bit tighter, and the cups larger, so I ended up with it over the other 30E bras I was trying on. I do wish they made it in 30 bands, but I think this 32D will work for me for awhile.
It's really not the most sexy thing, but I always feel sexy in a nice unlined bra. I feel round under ...clothes but the cup shape also makes my boobs look long and flat on top without clothes. But overall I'm glad I found it https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
After measuring, the cups do measure pretty small for me, but the material is very stretchy and forgiving. The band doesn't quite stretch to 32". The straps don't adjust fully, which is okay on me, but could be a problem for other people. Read more 73 more words
Yay for finding the type of bra you've been wanting! And for $15, too!
"This bra is so matronly and ugly on me... and I love it!" <-- That made me smile. Love the sentiment, and I'm glad you love your bra!
As much as I love a bra that looks sexy without clothes, when it comes down to it all that really matters is how it feels and how it makes you look with clothes on. I don't know about you, but I almost never just hang around in my bra. I'm either wearing clothes or I'm naked. I appreciate an "ugly" bra that does what it's supposed to do.
Also, yay for inexpensive! That's a breath of fresh air in my book. Congrats!
Very natural looking fit, cups fit great for an unlined bra. Ever so slightly pinching at the center of the cups, so they are slightly too wide I think. Band is a bit tight, but other reviews say it stretches out over time. Not too tight, just noticable. Worried about the underwire under my arm, it digs in a bit and rides a little high. Straps feel secure.
Main concern is the gap under and to the side of my boob at the underwire. The underwire fits at the outside edge, but it runs high and the curve is a bit too much for me to fill out. The center is close to perfect, I think.
I bought this at a bra store where they'd altered the band to a size 30, but the customer never came to get the bra. So on the tag it's a 32D, but essentially, they altered it to a 30DD. I LOVE this bra. It's so comfortable and supportive. It's definitely a full coverage cup, so it contains well when bending/stooping etc at work as a nurse or home (small kids and livestock). The wires are a bit wider than some D or DD cups, which is nice for wider roots. I'm hoping to find something very similar with a slightly lower cup because this might be too high for some scoop neck tanks in the summer.
It's lovely stretch lace all over. The material is stretchy and fairly forgiving, but a bit more firm and supportive than the Body. I think it gives me a rounder shape and is a bit more flattering. However, it seems more closed-on-top and cuts in a bit more as well. A 32DD may work better for me in this bra. Still super comfy, supportive and secure, wear-all-day effortless feeling. The closest I've come to feeling like I'm wearing nothing. It has a tighter band that works decently for me being between 30 and 32. The gore is a bit wide.
This summer has been filled with mornings of agonizing over my bright Cleo bras showing through my favorite light t-shirts and worse afternoons walking 1.5 miles home in a sweaty moulded cup bra. I tried a few beige unlined bras, but the fit was never right.
So after grabbing this bra in purple on impulse at a sale, I decided to grab one more in beige to solve my problem.
This bra, as I said before, isn't the prettiest. But it serves its purpose. It disappears under shirts (except occasional nipple showing, fine by me). The cups are very stretchy and forgiving, allowing for more cup volume than other ...32D bras I've tried. The band fits a bit tighter, though I believe the beige color runs a bit larger. The straps on it do not adjust short enough for me, but otherwise I love it. The lift you get isn't wonderful, but it's so comfy.
As a side note, the matching high waisted brief is so comfy... but terrible quality. I wore them once and the fabric was pilling all over. Not even worth $2.99 on sale. This could indicate that the bra might not hold up too well either - I'll update the reviews if they end up pilling too. Read more 102 more words
This was the very first bra I owned that I purchased after getting fitted for the first time. It has amazingly comfortable u-band straps, lightly padded (but not too much), comes in great colors, wires are comfortable at the gore. It's so great I own 3! Sadly outgrown.
This bra fits like a "minimizer". I am a shallow 32D and this "full figure" bra fits me perfectly. I love the coverage and comfort. The straps are placed great for a petite frame. Would not buy any probably because it was a little too much coverage and not much lift.
It would be absolutely 110% perfect if it were tag free and cotton lined. As it stands, it rates 99%. I love the more substantial straps (1/2" wide instead of the standard 3/8" ) and the light, flexible side boning, which provides some extra support and keeps the underneath portion of the cups from buckling. The foam lining is graduated from 1/8" thick at the edge to 3/16" over the apex, and prevents show-through under fitted tops. Sizing is pretty accurate. The straps sit at a good spot and the bra overall is very comfortable.
If only Wacoal would offer nursing bras! *Sigh* ....
This is my first time trying my calculated size from this site (32D). Up until this point I wore a 34B. It feels great to wear a 32D, but I’m afraid the cups are too large. My right breast mostly fills it out, although there is a tiny bit of loose fabric on the upper part of cup right underneath where the strap starts, but the left breast is smaller and therefore does not fill out that cup. The center gore is causing a LOT of itchiness throughout the day. I love the look of this bra, but the itchiness is REALLY bothering me.
Runs small in the cups compared to other wacoal bras I have tried. Fabric is sleek and feels nice. I am center full and close set and I have middle spillage bad. Im starting to think lower gores don't suit me. I think the cups and wires are a shape mismatch even if I sized up.
I tried my sister size (32D) for this bra because people say Wacoal bands run tight/small. I agree that this band is tight for 32" but the cup placement is true to32" proportions. The cups are slightly too far apart for me and the wires extend beyond my breast tissue on the sides. Because this is a stretch fabric rather than seamed, it gives a smooth look and is comfortable! The fabric is so soft. The straps are also really soft and don't put pressure. Unpadded so gives a natural appearance. If this came in a 30" band I would buy it.
The fit of this bra is too retro for me. My boobs are already pointy, and this model emphasizes the cone shape even more. The size is too small for me. It came up in the bra recommendations but didn't fit.
My boobs escape from the cups on the sides. The underwires are too narrow for my wide roots. There is not enough immediate projection for my bottom-heavy boobs. I think the shape is too tall and narrow for me.
I only tried them on; I haven't used this bra all day, but it didn't feel very comfortable. That might be because the cup size is too small, though.
I bought this after trying a 30DD and 30DDD, because I thought it might solve some fit issues. The proportions are very different in the 32, and it just didn’t work out the way I’d hoped.
I haven't owned many pretty bras but I'd count this one. I like that the strap is a bit tighter but, again, the shape is not right for me. Otherwise it's comfortable.
Yay! Wacoal does make some fabulous lace bras. Not all of them, however, are fabulous for all of us. ;-) Glad you found one that works for you!
