Can anyone recommend some full-cup bras (or close to full) for shallow, 28-band boobs? Seems like half-cups are the most coverage I can find, which is usually fine. But I want to try having my boobs Locked and Loaded during the day because I bend over and move a lot in general for my job (but it doesn't require a sports bra).

Okay I know this is reeeeaaallly late but today I went to Victoria's Secret for the shits and giggles to see how bad they really were at fitting (also because it was my 18th birthday) and honestly no words can describe. The lady asked me my current size and for the purpose i wore my 36DD (at this point I ... thought maybe I'd be closer to a size 32FF/H 32G/I at most, this was not the case which means that I'm more than likely going to have to return @Fantasie Francesca in 32FF, so far the only bra that was a close fit was my parfait 34G and EVEN THEN the gore will start to dig into my boobs after wearing it for 2+ hours) she then just measured me around my chest over my shirt and with my bra on. Considering the fact that I'm on the small side I'm pretty sure they just put me in the smallest back size that they had (32), which still ended up being kind of big on me, with the largest cup size that they had available (DDD/F). THIS DID NOT FIT AT ALL I WAS SPILLING OUT EVERYWHERE. I also had to wear the band on the last hook and EVEN THEN, I could still fit my fist under it/pull it away/play jump rope with it, you get the point. In all honesty I thought that I would've been a 32FF/H maybe a 32G/I at most considering the fact that I've gained weight but that just showed that I'm nowhere close to a 32 band (My boobs and butt grew but apparently those were the only areas where I really gained the weight at) The confusing part is that I walked in wearing an (altered) 36DD which I'm having some overflow in and if I'm not mistaken 32DDD is roughly a size or so smaller? Yet they tried to convince me that the bras fit and that I looked nice in them despite the fact that my boobs were comparable to an exploded can of biscuits. Granted the styles were cute but there's nothing cute about boobs looking like they're about to snap a bra. 10/10 Do not recommend. Anyways after this I'm at a complete loss as to what my actual size could be so it's back to the drawing board.

Convincing that an ILL-fitting bra fits, women will only feel bad about their bodies.
Like many others have said I'm just glad that I knew what an ill fitting bra looked like/feels like otherwise there would've been an 80% chance that i would've gotten at least one and mistaken the boob tissue being forced out from the sides of the bras as back fat and my boobs being smashed and squeezed as "an okay fit". What bothers me the most is that if they're using this tactic on me then how many more are they using it on where they also slap them into the smallest band/biggest cup size that they carry and try to sell it to them? It's infuriating and some people actually try to defend it as a marketing strategy. Like no there are actually physical and mental health risks that can arise just from wearing an ill fitting bra of any size.

I've just bought my first Comexim half cup (from another Bratabase user), and was very happy to discover that it fits me really well. I've always avoided the half-cup style in the past - preferring the plunges - as I thought it would be too open on top for me. Happily, it's not.
What's puzzling me slightly is that I normally ... wear 65G or 70F in Comexim plunges, but this half cup is a 65H that seems to run small. It's the Sonia style.
Do all their half cups run small, or is this peculiar to Sonia? Do they all fit similarly, in terms of how open or closed on top they are?

I have found both Angel and Ginger 3hc a cup smaller than Beauty, Chloe, and Donna 3hc. Some styles are just smaller, I think, anyway.
I need to size up in Comexim half cups to get anywhere near the volume of a plunge. Then there's the inconsistent sizing to factor in.

Do Comexim cup sizes really run as small add they appear from the measurements on here? I wear something in the neighborhood of a 28E UK; some 30DD's can work too. When I search by measurements on Bratabase, several Comexim bras come up in a 65G. Does that sound right? I have one Comexim 2HC in a 65E that ... is certainly too small, but I know that's a shallower cut. The bras that come up in the search are 3HC and other cuts. I really want to try some more things by Comexim, but I'm pretty chicken to go up two cups and try a deeper cut at the same time, lol. Send me some reassurance about the sizes versus Cleo, Curvy Kate, and Freya.

It's EU sizing and 2 cm vs 1 inch increments so it's certainly possible. I will let someone in your size answer with specifics however.
I want to say yes, but it also depends on your breasts.
When I was wearing 30DD/28E, I was also wearing Comexim 65G unaltered with no issue. However, I have tall roots, so the unaltered cup height wasn't an issue for me. I tried 65F first, because I also didn't want to buy 65G, but the wires were too narrow. (FYI, I was wearing Cleo Marcie 30DD.)
If you have short or,narrow roots, you may need a different size (or alterations)

I've finally decided to go the Polish route and order some EM bras, but am unsure of sizes to choose because I've seen reviews all saying different things about bands running tight, cups running small etc. and would like some advice please!
Currently wear 30GG in Cleo Marcie/Panache Envy and am particularly interested in the PL and S styles in EM if that helps?

from my experience (I wear Marcie in 30F, envy in 30E), I usually go for band 70E - but I hate too tight bands, it sometimes seems that cups fits better but thats due to the fact that the band pull the cups, If I know that band runs looser then I go for 65F
I wear 30GG in Cleo and 65H in unpadded EM and 65HH in padded EM styles. However .... 65GG is the end of EM's stock sizes so I have to special order my 65Hs and they are unreturnable. I would suggest you try 65GG, 70GG, and 70H (for padded), which are all returnable before ordering they non-stock sizes. I have also found that there is a huge jump between 65GG and 65H as far as cup width and strap set width. I think PL and S as padded styles tend to fit smaller than their BM and SM. Ewa uses 2cm increments for cup sizes, not 1 inch, so by index ten, most people have to go up a cupsize or two to get similar depths. As to bands, I prefer a tighter band and I do not find my BM or SM more than a little bit tighter than my Cleos. However, I do add an extender to my BM. I have tried the 70s and they seem to be fine for me too. I hope this helps!

I'm having a big boob day and pouring out of the top of my only bra that fits (32H ck Florence) and am looking to buy one a little bigger. *If* the measurements available here are accurate, the 30HH looks like it'll be a better fit (other than the band) than the 32HH.
Does this seem like it would be pretty accurate?

You're relying on just one user's measurements (with the correction that the system tries to impose). Cup depth is one of the hardest things for people to measure, especially newbies, so I would not really trust that, especially since it kinda flies in the face of common sense that the exact sister size of what you're wearing would be larger in the cup.
30HH is the same cup size as 32H. For the same volume you should go from a 32HH to a 30J

Almost every walcoal and elomi I have taken apart has padded underwires to some extent . The elomi is an extra piece of fleece in their channeling which is why it's so wide hard to notice while wearing such hard wires . Can you tell I have been in a bra experiments lol ? I am mostly after how made and the hardware not the wires .. so brand and sizes were irrelevant to my project or I would have taken notes.

I always loved my Freya Antoinette (3925) which is long discontinued. I saw the Freya Crush Plunge Balcony Bra (1831) and it looked so much like the cut of the Antoinette that I immediately ordered it. However, it doesn't fit at all. The band skates around on me unless I put it ... on the tightest hook, and the cups are slightly too big and pointy. Cup depth measures 7.5"/19cm which is much too big for a 28D (I find average depth at this size to be about 6.5 - 7"/16.5cm - 17.5).
Is there any other Freya bra that is cut like the Antoinette?

I don't know Antoinette, but have you ever tried Tempo or Rio? they are the two I find to be most different from the standard Freya cut.

I'm starting to admit to myself that maybe my bras don't fit as well as they should. Like, they seem like they fit great when I first put them on - but then a few hours later, it feels like the underwire is digging into my ribs, and it gets more and more uncomfortable. I'm not sure what's supposed to fix that. As I said, the fit seems great. The band isn't too tight, the cups are the right size. But then later, oww, my ribs.

yesterday my 75J - Ewa Michalak » Bm Naomi (809) dug a pit so deep under my IMF it was burning for a half hour after I took it off. i did fasten it on the tightest hook, so maybe it was too tight? ugg
I get the underwire digging into my ribs too, so unpleasant. :-( For me, the digging happens on the front of my chest, sometimes a little more towards the outside of the cup. In my case, my best guest for the cause is bras that don't have enough immediate projection at the wire, and the bottom of the cups and wire are being pushed down and potentially tilted into my ribs.
If you often find that bras slide down from your IMF or unlined bras get wrinkling at the bottom of the cups (but you are filling out the bottom of the cups otherwise), you could need more immediate projection at the wires. Otherwise, the bras could just have wires that are too firm for you.

My boobs are somewhat shallow (not terribly but enough that I cannot wear full cup bras without gaping at the top. Sizing down doesn't work. It's definitely more of a breast shape issue than a size issue) however they are very full on the bottom. I like some cleavage and push up (my boobs aren't saggy one bit but just ... the way they naturally sit I prefer them to be a tad higher on my chest, so I have more projection on the top) but unfortunately most demi cups or balconette bras I've tried don't do that. They fit me as far as covering my breasts properly and not gaping at the top yet they don't provide a ton of 'va va vooom'.

Although I'm wearing a 36DD and your size range may fit differently, if you want cleavage and comfort try B.Tempt'd B.Splendid. Never would I have predicted it would work for my full on bottom, short-waisted, projected self, but it does. However, the padding is huge in the 36DD.
I never wear push ups myself, so what do I know, but I have always wondered what my favourite brands' push up would fit like. If you are feeling adventurous, you could try a Nipplex, Gaia, Ava, Gortex, or Gorsenia and post your review on Bratabase? This is my favourite Amazon store's collection in 32DD.

OK, here's a question that I have not come across an answer for:
When measuring the width between your breasts (the actual space where the gore tacks), do you measure while standing or leaning? Because they are different numbers for me: standing, I only have UP to 1/4" width (depending on how full I happen to be at the ... time); and leaning, I have a 3/4" space (which doesn't change much at all).
Also, I have measured the tallest gore I can manage comfortably is 2" tall, and the maximum width I can tolerate is 3/4" wide. A gore wider or taller just doesn't work for me. (Of course, the height of the gore is completely arbitrary since it varies whether the band is a Full, a Partial, or Bandless. But for the sake of understanding, I am using a average 2" gore).
So, since my leaning measurement and my tolerance are the same (3/4"), is it safe to assume I should use the leaning measurement? Is that correct?

Is there a measurement for between the breasts on this website? I dont think I've ever measured that. but my breasts touch if supported at all, and even if not supported, the skin between them seems to have flesh under it. Like, i'm not sure there is any actual separation.
But mine are so soft and squishy that I actually prefer taller gores
I don't think there is a clear measurement asked for when taking your own measurements. However, they do allow you to add it when posting a bra's measurements. So correct me if I'm wrong, but it leaves someone to deduce on their own what the optimal proportions should be.

Having tested my new 30GG Hettie, Kayla and Skye bras over the last month, each worn about 7-8 times, I'm already on the third set of hooks and the band is still riding up by the end of the day, so much so that I'm considering trying a 28 just to see what it's like.
My current tightest underbust measurement ... I can manage is 30-30.5 inches, but I understand that over the past few seasons Cleo bands have been getting very stretchy, so maybe this is just a continuation of that as I can't see them being worn out already!

The Skye and Blake I tried were stretchy. And, Skye's wires distorted too easily, for me.
There have been reports of stretchy bands starting with SS 2016 colorways/cuts (I can personally confirm Hettie (pink), Della (floral), Blake (teal), Marcie (bluebell)) . Aside from the stretchy bands I personally experienced, I have heard that the leopard Della, pink Blake, and tangerine Marcie have also been stretchy.
I think we need to start adding a caveat to the old go-to "Cleo bands run firm!" advice I see very commonly dispensed.

Do you think the EM M cut could work? I feel like it has a fair amount of projection at the wire, but it doesn't hold inner fullness quite as well as I'd first hoped. The bands are really tight in the M, so maybe a 34E could work?
Like you, Ewa Michalak and Comexim don't have enough for me. But, Gorsenia's unlined balcony was wonderful. Unfortunately, Gorsenia bands and straps are flimsy; comfortable, but flimsy. Additionally, the cup designs require quite a bit of center fullness.
Ava has received a strong endorsement from @maddy2596, but ordering from a data desert, again, is deterring my purchase. I have little willpower and will likely purchase a periwinkle blue beauty soon ;-)

I'm a 40GG (UK). I tried a curvy kate and the underwire poked my armpit annoyingly. I tried Sculptresse by Panache and the band was way too tight and I didn't like how the cup fit. I have 2 Elomi bras and I love them. however, they are super worn out. I need a demi style cup that fits like emolis do. Any suggestions?

I'm sorry, but I don't really have enough information here to make any suggestions. If you could do a measure and fitting help request, I'd have a better idea of what to say. For example, which models or Curvy Kate, Sculptresse, and Elomi? Did the underwire poke because it was too tall? too short? too wide? too narrow? distorted? the wrong shape? etc. ..... Because bra fitting is so complicated, specific details, measurements, photos, and the descriptors built into a fit request on this site are really necessary to provide helpful suggestions. It you can enter your older worn out Elomis on this site - marking them as "altered" because they are stretched out and your measurement information should not be included in the numbers for new bras - and then submitted a fir request on a new bra, I think we could give you a lot more help!
the curvy kate was the dreamcatcher balcony in 40gg. it was very stretchy and the wire pinched under my arm. It felt like it was too long but I'm not sure. The elomis I have now are a betty plunge and the kenza plunge.
the sculptresse was the flirtini style and the band was too tight so it was hard to tell overall fit.

Would someone please point me to an article or graphic that explains apex? I'm confused about what it is and what it means regarding fit, especially with pendulous breasts and/or soft tissue. And in half cups - do they even have an apex? I see many folks referring to it in regards to fit & projection, but all I know ... about is immediate - at the wire - projection since that's my bugaboo. What does apex do, how do you locate it on boobs and on a bra, if its wrong how do you know -all that good stuff! Thanks!

The apex is the deepest part of the bra. Where you should be measuring cup depth. Half cups def have an apex. For some folks (like me) apex projection is really important because we have long pendulous boobs and need room. Also, if the apex is too high or too low it can cause a shape mismatch. See my pics of 42H - Elomi » Tara Half Cup (4170) where the apex of the bra is actually higher than my breast tissue, causing the cup to gape.
so while it is the deepest part of the cup, its also sort of where the 'point' is for the cup, the part that comes out the farthest from your body.

What are the characteristics of the different plunge cuts? I noticed a dramatic fit difference between Morning Meadow and Pansy in the same size, but I do not yet understand the nuances of each pattern or which breasts characteristics fit each pattern best.

Several months ago, I saw a petition online for the more well known bra companies to consider manufacturing 26 bands, and recently remembered, so I decided to look it up. Unfortunately it has since closed, as there was not enough signatures
Does anyone know if there is another petition of this kind online, and if you ... guys think we could rack up (heh) enough signatures for them to consider it? It's kind of ridiculous, considering the number of petite women out there, that women needing 26 and below bands have so few options in this point in time.
