Also add your review to a bra here so it can be found later when someone is researching the bra:

I'm ordering some bras from Jaime at Bra Obsessed (comexim and EM) and they are smaller in the band than what I have been wearing so I know I'm going to need an extender, or two at first, which got me wondering which extenders fit EM and comexim bands the best? So any recommendations?

for me, i was able to use the regular elastic extender that i bought at my local bra boutique with my ewa michalaks. The eyes and hooks dont line up exactly, but it still works.
I just bought some generic extenders off Amazon. They don't quite match up with my Comexim hooks (Comexims are kind of narrow set in comparison to say, Freya), but it works and doesn't seem to cause any harm.

Hey everyone,
I'm in bra depression right now. Fantasie has been my go to since it is the only line of bras where the gore hits my chest, but ... I don't like how they fit these days. The 32F is a tad small on my larger breast (not full on quad boob, but a hint). I'm putting up some pics ... right now on the Jana. I feel like they smash me and don't lift me enough. Thoughts? I really wanted to like Wacoal's retro chic, but the gore just didn't shit. Tried a 32s and 34s in multiple cup sizes.

Have you ever tried Parfait, Charnos, or Lepel? Charnos tends to be on the wide side, and Parfait unpadded can be tricky to get a hold of, but I have found them most similar to Fantasie in contruction.
maddy2596 - thanks. I'll look into that. :)

I'd like to place my first order from Comexim, but am really confused by the sizing. I typically wear a 30GG. Using their online size guide, they suggest a 70G. I also looked at wellfitting.com who suggested my size as 30HH. I've read that the bands are firm, but as far as cup size do they tend to run smaller, larger, or similar to U.K. Sizes? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I am 34h/36gg in uk sizing and usually wear 80L/85K. So imo you need 70k. I use this way to find my size and it works usually. -> go up a band and cup, for example, 34h=34:11 -> 80l=36:12. However if you are thinking alteration like reduced gore, moved in straps etc, you may need to go 2 cups up because they reduce the volume of cups.
65M Comexim size may be a good starting place in the 3HC. And, if you are very full on top, 65L may be a good starting place in the plunge. The plunges tend to require significant upper tissue in the 30H+ sizes.

Hi friends,
Since a couple of bras from my last Comexim order did not fit, and I would like some more that do, I'm considering placing another order for the following styles, all as three-part half cups:
Want to order:
*Victoria (listed as 2HC, will order as 3HC)
*Ginger (listed as plunge, ... will order as 3HC)
*Basic (in black, beige, or both?, listed as plunge, will order as 3HC)
*Gemma (listed as plunge, will order as 3HC)
*Burgundy (listed as 3HC)
Past Comexim experiences:
*Burgundy 70E (listed by Comexim as 3HC) - definitely too small in the cups
*Sonia (ordered as 3HC, originally listed by Comexim as plunge) in 70F - perfect fit, band pretty stretchy
*Beauty (listed by Comexim 3HC) in 70F - perfect fit
*Georgia (listed by Comexim 3HC) in 70F - a touch small and/or not projected enough in the cups, but wearable
*Elena (2HC) in beige in 70F - gave me quadding (shape mismatch for me, I think)
*Elena (2HC) in black in 70G - gaping at top of cups, also wires too wide
*Honey Cookie (ordered as 3HC, originally listed by Comexim as plunge) in 70F - cups too open at top, large in general, a bit wide (fit like 70G?)
Two questions:
(1) Can you describe the fit of any of the "want to order" styles relative to any of the 3HC bras and my fits in them, below? I've Googled and searched on here and r/abtf and could still use some guidance. As with my last order, I'd go ahead and order them in 70F across the board, but was surprised to see such big differences in fit between previous plunges ordered as 3HC's and ones in my last order (i.e., Sonia 3HC in 70F - great!; Honey Cookie 3HC in 70F - really not great!), and between different listed-as-3HC styles (i.e., Beauty in 70F - great!; Georgia in 70F - a bit small in the cups). I know styles have slight variations even among the same size, but was wondering if anyone could comment on general trends.
(2) I think I'd be more comfortable with straps moved in 1-2 cm. Can anyone describe how this has affected the fit of their Comexims (half cup styles, specifically - e.g., needed to size up a cup with this alteration) Again, I've Googled and searched here & r/abtf but would appreciate any additional comments you might have.
Thanks for all of your collected wisdom! Also for those styles that didn't fit, they are listed for sale on here if you're interested : )

My sister has been a delighted Comexim wearer for one year. She was quadding a bit and ordered five different bras one size up. Every new bra was remarkably too shallow near the wire. Every new bra fit smaller than the smaller size she had purchased one year ago. I can't tell you how frustrated she feels!!! She is in your size range...
Best of luck!!!
My Ginger fit about half a cup small and my Beauty was right on - I think Beauty and Victoria are similar.

Review and measurements: http://bra.pe/XVWM/
I really liked it and the matching suspender high waist briefs are the cutest, but it's a cup size too big. The gores were also too wide, but is that because the cup size is too big or is it due to the Della having wide gores? (Does the Della have wide gores?)

It looks like quite a narrow gore for this size range, but if the cup is much too big, the whole bra can move around much too easily meaning the wires are likely to end up on breast tissue. How is the band? Sometimes a very loose band can also cause the wires/gore to wander. If you're very tiny and 28 is borderline too big, in conjunction with too-large cups that can also cause this problem.
wendybien The band was really nice and snug on the loosest hook, 28 bands are my ideal for comfy wear (and 26 bands seem so hard to acquire that I'll stick to 28) cuz they're snug and don't ride up. I am indeed tiny (5'5" and 115 pounds), though my snug and tight underbust changes depending on my menstrual cycle.

I'm looking at Thalia and Daisy and wondering if anyone knows if they are deeper or shallower in comparison to other Empriente models?

Thalia is extra deep. Not sure about Daisy. Look at the 32E full cup Thalia in my profile you can see measurements--it'll tell you what the 30F cup should measure. Full cup and low-cut designs are not usually very different in depth within the same collection.

Daisy is very deep. The depth ratio in the 30F and 30G I tried 2.2
30F fit and I normally wear 28GG or 30 G

Comexim 3HC going from 70H Beauty to 70HH Honey Cookie suddenly gets wider, more shallow, taller cups, bigger straps. Anyone else tried both 70H and 70HH in other models of Comexim 3HC to know if this is a model issue or a grading issue? Thanks!
Filed under Bra sizing and fit
I haven't tried either of those sizes, but a lot of their newer models look shallower than their older models (and the Honey Cookie definitely looks shallow in the stock photos). I think most of the reviews of it on here have said that it was wider than their other 3HCs as well. So unless you have other bras that have shown the same trend, I would guess that this is a model issue rather than a size change issue
This album is for anyone who has felt strangely uncomfortable in what looked like a good fit or nearly fitting bra. Keep looking!. My breasts finally revolted against the too small bras in a painful way.
The album is organized from most compression to least compression.

I notice that there's a gore width progression too. Very useful, thanks!
It's interesting to read bout the difference in fit and comfort, even though the Cleo looks like a great fit. :)

Part vent and part cry for help.
Ok, so narrow roots, immediate projection, narrow shoulders, FoB and centre fullness, small band larger cup .... magic brand Empreinte, yes?
Aaaaah!
Super expensive so I only buy the sale models I can find in my size. The 30G - Empreinte » Vivienne (08146) fits well. It is a ... touch wide, it cuts a touch, the straps rub my armpits, but don't cut, and it doesn't have quite enough immediate projection. It will do. Then the 30G - Empreinte » Ornella (08147) arrives - wires distort so I use extender, shape is a little odd, but wearable. Now, the 30G - Empreinte » Jasmine Demi (08132) arrives and yikes!! extender fixes wire distortion, but Ornella shape problem is exacerbated!
Funnily enough, it is a similar shape probelm to my Comexim 3hc non-padded with the straps moved in two cm. My tissue is so soft that it can't hold a shape. With the strap set width narrow enough not to dig into my shoulders, my centre fullness takes over and the outer upper side of the cup flattens between the apex and the strap attachment leaving a bulge right inside the outer edge of the wires. So much easier to understand with pictures! Fixed the Comexims issues (70HH - Comexim » Donna Balcony Bra (162) and 70J - Comexim » Chloe 3hc ) pulls the straps a touch wider, but increase the tension on the outer half of the cup to balance my centre fullness and not make me look flattened and caved in. So... try it with Empreinte ...... and now the straps are way too far apart!
This is starting to drive me crazy!
Ultimately, the solution, I think, would be to have even narrower wires as I still have at least a cm between my imf and my body marks with an extender. The Comexim are 15cm and the Empreintes are 14.5cm, and my best fit is the 65J - Gaia » Annika Soft (553) at 14cm, I could probably even wear narrower too. But who makes a bra in 30GG/H size with 13.5 cm wire widths? Ewa Michalak jumps from 14 to 15 cm between 65GG and 65H in SM and 14.5 cm to 15.5 cm in BM and I need the volume of the H - not to mention that the straps practically cut my arms off by the end of the day. Empreinte 30Fs are 13.5 cm, but again, I need the depth of the G. Gaia has only made the one new model in this particular style - the S9 - and while it fits, it is itchy as anything and bumpy under thinner or tighter clothes. Not to mention two hooks, thin, elastic straps and is really only a medium support. My 28H - Cleo » Marcie Balconnet Bra (6831) 28H (thank you stretchy bands!) and my 32GG - Miss Mandalay » Paris Balconette Bra are 14.5 cm, but everything else it 15 or more!
Any suggestions?

So frustrating!!
So, correct me if I'm wrong, but have you ever tried any other Empreinte 30Fs apart from the single one in your bra list? Because these Empreinte 30Gs look REALLY big on you including on your bigger side. Too tall, too wide, too deep, super high coverage when they are designed to be low-cut bras... in some cases I wouldn't be surprised if you got failure to tack because the gore is SO tall that it would be tilting up! Due to the nice materials it's not nearly as obvious as in other brands when the cups are too big but knowing the brand as I do, this is not their intended fit. They are not meant to be this high-coverage. Not sure if you noticed the very large depth difference between, say, the Jasmine (12.4" cup) and the Paris 30F (10 point something) but that indicates models that run very different in sizing, with Paris running small and the others running much bigger. I would say you would need to try a 30F in one of the deeper running designs to see if the brand can fit you or not. Are you very petite or short-waisted by any chance?

I recently tried the EM ch lilia in 65FF (I'm around 30F to 30FF), but I had some headlight action out of the top of the cup, and it seemed like it was buckling at the bottom (like too shallow for me or too small... can't tell which). I'm really undecided about what cup size to try next, but I ... want to order the EM CHP red wine.
I find I measure around 9.8-10.3 perimeter throughout the month. So I've been thinking 65G looks right 'on paper', but I also noticed that the ch lilia only had a cup height of about 5.5 while the CHPs have around 6.3, which makes me really wonder if I should order the 65FF, which measures smaller than my breast perimeter? I have super short roots and a projected shape, so not sure which would work (65FF or 65G). For reference, my best fitting bras are cleo marcie 30F (purple, in cup quad), minnie in 30F (in cup quad), Anna Pardal sophisticated balconette 32FF (band too stretchy), and EM M cut in 70F. Do you tend to order chp with about the same amount of 'perimeter measurement' you have, or do you order a smaller size than you measure (especially if you have shorter roots)? Hope that all made sense!

The only CH I tried was a sister size to 65G. The cup was shorter than the 65FF CHP I had previously worn. The CH has the most center and immediate projection. In fact, I did not at all find the CHP comfortable, but the CH was delightful except for the too-wide gore.
If your roots are short, you may prefer to special order a 65G CH...
Good luck!!
Thanks Love4Pollinators ... I hadn't thought about doing a custom order with the ch. Did you find the chp tall on you? I'm worried that if I size up the cup will be too tall.

I purchased a new bra recently, when I tried it on in the store it felt great, really supportive, a little stiff but figured it would loosen up with a few wearings. The problem I'm having is that after a few hours the bra feels too tight in the front and too loose in the back (the band moves ... around). You would naturally think; 'well the cups must be too small', however, they're not, and in reality I need to use a cookie on my smaller side to fill it out fully. Has anyone ever had an experience like this? What would be the cause?

sorry, my issue is the opposite - tight at the back and loose at the front!
'feels too tight' is pretty vague. are your boobs being pinched? is it pinching under your boobs? do your boobs feel smooshed? but clearly sounds like the band is too big.

So I just got my four Comexim half cups that I ordered mid-December and shipped as of 12/29/16 (13 day delivery to NJ, USA). I found ordering and delivery straightforward as with a previous order - I did the single special request of ordering a plunge style as I ordered Georgia (70F, on website as 3HC), Honey Cookie (70F,on website ... as plunge, special ordered as 3HC), Beauty (70F, on website as 3HC), and Elena (70G, on website as two-part half cup). Of these four, I'll be keeping two and have listed the two others. I've reviewed each one individually but thought I'd post a quick comparison review of these and other Comexims I already owned.
First, some background. My holy grail bra, and point of comparison for these new reviews, is the Comexim Sonia in the 3HC cut in 70F. The band is a little stretchy, but that's the only downside. I have been living in fear that it will not last as it's pretty much been my everyday bra since I received it (see my listings for the 6 other bras I tried and discarded as everyday bras. Blagh!).I find this cut and size a perfect fit for my narrow-rooted, full-on-bottom, wide-set, squishy, splayed breasts and petite frame. The wires STAY in my IMF and aren't too wide. The straps aren't digging into my armpits or falling off my shoulders. Oh yeah - and it's GORGEOUS. For reference I also own a two-part half-cup Elena in beige, 70F, which is either too closed on top or too shallow and gives me a little quadding, especially in my larger breast. And I have a Burgundy (3HC) ordered from Breakout Bras and tagged 32 E, which is too small in the cup causing spillage/quadding.
Now, for the new styles....
(1) I was expecting Honey Cookie, a plunge special-ordered as a 3HC, to fit similarly to the Sonia ordered the same way in the same band and cup size; however, this was not the case, as I found Honey Cookie more open, wider, and less immediately projected compared to the Sonia. Additionally, the contrast between the lace overlay and the blush base fabric was a little too muted for me. Super duper gorgeous just a little bridal, maybe, for me?
(2) The fit issues in the two-part half-cup Elena were not remedied by sizing up in the cup to a 70G from the 70F - oddly, the cups felt huge. Any thoughts on whether a 65G or 65H might be a better fit in this style for me? I'm willing to accept that it's a lost cause due to shape mismatch, but am still in search of a basic nude or black bra like these styles. May consider special ordering the Basic as a 3HC too.
Now for the good.
(3) The Beauty in 70F was a perfect fit, seriously a bang-on match as far as fit goes for the Sonia 3HC in the same band and cup size. Victory! The eyelash lace on the band is such a pretty detail and it's nice to have a lacy black bra that actually fits...it puts my mind at ease about parting with my beloved (but ill-fitting) B.tempt'd Ciao Bella. I had considered getting Victoria (navy lace/pale beige base), but the style is so similar I may just stick with Beauty for now.
(4) The Georgia (new gray/lavender style) is probably the most comfortable well-fitting bra I've put on my body. Instead of a lace overlay, it's a super high quality microfiber-type print fabric - rivalling Victoria's Secret level comfort, which is no small feat. I hope we see more styles in this fabric in other colors or prints from Comexim!!! It's a teense too small in the cup for my left breast, but I'm crossing my fingers that this resolves as the tight, firm band stretches a bit with wear.
Any thoughts on related Comexim styles I might enjoy? What is on your Comexim wish list?

Sorry about the different fits, but grateful two are "keepers." Interestingly, my sister ordered five Comexim and remarked about the difference in fit from her previous orders, too. Hmm.... I ordered two 65K 3HCs eight months ago: 1 was 1.5 cups smaller than the other. That was my last Comexim order. Sigh.
My last Comexim order wasn't tts, cups are 1-1.5 size smaller than they should...

FOB ladies with sensitive gores, which soft bra fron the SS17 Panache , Panache Cleo or Panache Black would you recommend?

what model is most likely to fit on shallow breasts in Ewa Michalak?
Filed under Bra sizing and fit

In my experience, M is the most shallow (especially in the outer portion of the cup) followed by S..... However, the shallowness may change based on the size range you are considering.
What size range are you looking for? Usually, nearly all Ewa bras fit more shallow in the smaller cup sizes and become more narrow/deep in the larger cup sizes.

I just bought a Freya Willow in a 30F, and I am in love. I've also got a Panache Clara in a 30F that fits me really well. Does anyone have any recommendations to try next?
I had a reduction last year, so I need a fairly wide wire, but have a fairly average projection.
Thanks!
Filed under Bra sizing and fit
Willow padded or unpadded? The unpadded Freyas are really quite narrow wired.
Ok so first of all I have 2 different sizings: One between ovulation and period where my breasts swell and are hella painful, and another after my period where they go down to the size they technically are.
The bra size calculator from /r/abrathatfits (http://www.brasizecalculator.tk/) calculates me to be a 28F/FF pre-period (ouchy and swelled boobs), and the ... measurements I've registered here on Bratabase are those very same boobs (period is scheduled a week for now, but I'll have to see if they actually change size). Non-ouchy and plain boobs are measured to a 28E/F.
I'm confused though, because Bratabase says I'm a 28G - 28GG - 28H. I just yesterday ordered the Cleo Della set from Amazon in 28F, and looking through Bratabase recommendations I'm beginning to get worried about whether it'll fit

The ABTF size is more accurate than Bratabase's size for me. You may be pleasantly surprised :-)
Calculators just offer a starting point, you often need to adjust up or down. So at this point you probably just need to try and see how each size works. There is some inescapable trial and error.

Cups are biting into my underarm and into a tendon just above my tail of spence.
What sports bras for 30FF are better suited for the short-waisted/Petite/High Set among us?
Thanks!
Filed under Bra sizing and fit
Have you tried the Panache Sports? I am short-waisted with high-set boobs and this one works quite well for me.
Also, I tend to get gaping cups and armpit issues in bikinis and sports bras when I move my arms. I found out that sizing down 1 cup helps with these issues. It's not a quite-so-perfect fit then, but if it's a bikini or sports bra, you only wear it for limited time spans, so it'll do no harm.
Thanks for the suggestion. I bet the wireless Panache one size small will work well. :-)
Hi Ladies,
Do you know what is the corresponding size of a 26P with Ewa Michalak ?
Thanks for your help :*

Are you looking for a UK 26P? Unfortunately, she doesn't make anything in a large enough cup volume that would be anywhere near your band size (you'd have to get something in like a 38LL and alter it down).
If you're looking for a Comexim P cup though, a 60K or KK or so might be a good starting point, but that'll depend on if you're altering the Comexims at all
Thank you for your answer ! I'm so disappointed, Ewa just released a lovely babydoll. I'm familiar with Comexim, it's the only brand which can bra that suit me as much as it's possible !
