This might sound crazy...
But I think there should be another boob shape included into this bra world! O.o
FOTT = Full on top-top... xD It sounds ridiculous, but it has a flow to it and what I mean with top-top is that you're very full higher up than "usual" FOT girls. I guess you could say it fools you to believe that you are ... shallow-breasted because your projection is small compared to how much tissue you've actually got on your chest. It's like someone would stack another package of breast tissue ON TOP where others' breasts have already ended. Why do I think there's this boob shape? Because I think I've got it! Based on pictures here on Bratabase, and outlines I've shown to people, I've consistently heard that I must be shallow-breasted, but I *really* don't think I am! I consistently need bras with narrow wires and average/deep cups, never have I fit into shallow-depth bras. Okay... Think of it like this way. Think of boob shapes as if they were built out of cubes. Most boobs have a one-cube shape, with some exceptions. FOT's, FOB's and balanced boobs usually have a pretty similar width as height, nothing differs too much. (I'll list the exceptions that I know of down below later on) Even shallow boobs share this shape imo because even though their tissue is spread out on a larger area than most breasts, the majority of the boob is *still* inside that cube-dimension, with very little tissue spread out further than that, almost like a cube drawn harshly with solid black and then very weak tracings of a bigger cube. The main point here is that the shallow breast shape is *still* more or less inside that typical cube-box.
What I believe is that my shape DOES NOT fall into this category. I believe that my boob shape is a TWO CUBE shape! One cube on the bottom, and one cube on the top! Now, notice that I'm not referring to a balanced shape, I'm referring to a shape that is much taller and much fuller heigher up than a shallow shape would be.

This would explain why I have so extremely full boobs so high up! FOT women have much fullness on top, but usually not fullness all the way up to their collarbones! I always feel like I would need 1.5 or 2 bras worth of height... !
(Oh, the exceptions I know of! My shape, FOTT, and "short" boobs MilkAndHoney has this shape for example)

This doesn't sound crazy at all :) You're basically talking about discrepancies between horizontal and vertical dimensions of breasts and bra cups. Both are traditionally primarily defined by their horizontal dimensions -- width and depth -- assuming that the vertical ones follow logically from those as well. But that really isn't always the case: I, for example, need a vertical cup height/depth that is much less than my horizontal dimensions suggest. It's easy to mistake my breasts for 'shallow full-on-bottom', whilst a more accurate description would be 'conical short'. 'shallow' and 'conical' share some similar fitting issues, but FoB and 'short' are worlds apart.
You have the opposite going on: you need a vertical cup height/depth that is much larger than you horizontal dimensions suggest.
Anyway, bras are not designed for great vertical variation. It's all about the horizontal dimensions and the vertical ones are derived by a fixed ratio.
Feels good to not be bashed! x) I was a little insecure before posting this, insecure about how people would react. You're totally right btw, bras are not designed for great vertical variation... Such a shame though, because it's hell trying to find a high impact sports bra for me :P I guess I'm pretty lucky compared to you though, a too tall cup will collapse (it can't hold onto you) and the fit won't be quite right. With my fit issues I still feel pretty supported because my boobs are not that big and they're almost self-supporting.
