So sad!! Just got my first order from brastop and the fit is horrible. Guess I'm sending it back and moving on.
Also, I realized something new about my breast. The left is so much bigger than the right..

Is anyone looking to sell a 32H, 32GG or 30H Masquerade Rhea (6121) ? I have a 30GG Rhea I'd swap for it, or if a trade won't work I'd just buy yours and sell my 30GG. Or if anyone knows where I could buy one in these sizes (ideally 32H) for less than like $40 I'd appreciate that too .
Also, Jj, I wasn't sure which category to put this in. Maybe create a 'Shopping' or similarly titled category?

Great idea! I'd love a 34G in every color and could swap 36FF's. If you find a source, I could work with 32GG/H, too.
Maybe "In Search Of..."?
After having one bad bra day too many, and also spending lots of time lurking around here and Reddit's r/abrathatfits and seeing how well bras actually fit on some people, I feel as though there's a lot left lacking in terms of bras with small bands (32 or less) and large cups (HH and greater). Aside from the total desert ... in bras greater than a J in a 28 band, and the fact that the only brand who makes bras greater than a UK K cup (I'm definitely well into that territory now) is Ewa Michalak , I just feel like most of the bras aren't that great. It's pretty common to have wires which are too wide or alternatively too high (or sometimes both), cups which wrinkle at the bottom, straps which are far too wide and cut into your armpit, the side of the bra outside the straps comes up so high that it's incredibly visible through your arm hole, and lots of other issues which seem to be unique to this size range, especially right up the top. Bratabase's comments and entries seem to back me up on this supposition.
There's also a real lack of choice. I mean, I need to wear a bra (the other option isn't really very socially acceptable, or comfortable), so I have to choose between the lesser of evils and I'm at home trying to somehow stuff my definitely not 28K breasts into a 28K bra which still has wires far too wide for me despite my extra breast tissue distorting the bra and pulling it forward while I wait on an EM custom and hope that I haven't exceeded their size range as well. Even for people who aren't actually off the top of the cup scale, the amount of bras available are very limited, and I wonder how many others in small bands large cups really feel like they can't find a bra which fits them perfectly and have to settle for the least undesirable option? For instance, when I was a 28K I could chose from Panache, who has insanely high wires, Curvy Kate who has insanely wide wires or EM where I never know how long the back of the bra is until I get it and I can't send it back if it's wrong. In an ideal world, I'd may wear a 26 band as well, but apparently that's not a size which is profitable for companies to make even in smaller cups.
If you're around this size territory have you noticed the poor design of bras or are you happy with yours? Are there any changes that you'd like to make? Do you think that it would be possible to create a lobby to actually improve the design of bras in this size?

I wear a 28GG/H, so not really the bra desert that occurs a couple cup sizes up, but my little sister wears around a 28J/30HH, and helping her to find bras has been a challenge.
They're all cut wrong, with not NEARLY enough depth, far too wide wires and the cups too far apart, so her gore NEVER tacks, and there's always some weird gapping and bunching around the edges of the cup. She's not to keen on EM, both for the non-refundable crapshoot reasons, and because she doesn't want the really cleavagey, projected look that EM bras give. Our next experiment is going to be in Frankensteining bras for her by cutting the cups out of bras in my size (which have the right wire width and band size for her) and sewing in deeper cups.
I never ordered an EM until now, mostly for those reasons. I like to know how my bra fits wrong before I buy it. XD I've thought about making a Frankenbra, but I cleaned out all of my old ones so I'd need to get the wire from somewhere else, and the ones at my local sewing shop are woefully inadequate (I think the longest was 26cm and I'd really want something closer to 36). I'm not sure where I can source some which won't cost a small fortune. If you were clever, you could probably just run the 28H wires into the 28J bra's channels as an initial test to see whether that gives the depth and projection she's looking for. It may make the bra a bit smaller in the band, especially considering the percentage of these bras which is made up by the underwire, but it would be an easy way of seeing if the shape works as both bras would be a total bust after making these kinds of structural alterations anyway.
t_maia was saying that if there's enough interest, we could probably talk to the people who do Contour Fashion at Demontfort University to see if we could bribe them into designing stuff. This is more of a ramble but I am hoping to turn the ramble into action at some point.

I recently got a Flirtelle Sublime (FL8001) which was (although a bit too small in the cups) not a bad fit and very supportive. Since Curvy Kate Gia (CK2101) and Curvy Kate Lottie (CK1601) have the same cut, I thought they are might worth a try...
How do Gia and Lottie compare to Panache or Cleo bras size-wise?
Do you have to size up in CK balconettes?
Filed under Bra sizing and fit
I consistently wear 34DD in Panache and Cleo bras, but in the CK Lottie (and non-Showgirl CK bras in general) I really need a 32E.
I only have 34-band Lotties at the moment — a 34DD and a 34D, which oddly fit exactly the same — and they've both been slightly too loose even on the tightest hooks from the beginning.
I want to buy my mum an ewa for her birthday, but I'm having trouble deciding what to get.
I wanted to get her an S but the wires look a bit too narrow, does anyone know how wire width is different in maybe a CH?
She is usually a 32F/FF, and has soft pendulous boobs, she also has problems with by high gores, so is difficult to buy for any suggestions will be appreciated.

Please put this *under sizing and fit* ? :)
She is 32f/ff in what bras/brands?
In eea bras chp has widest wires.
Here's a great post by izzy that might help.
http://voluptuouslythin.wordpress.com/
Done :)
She's currently wearing a mix of 30 f, ff and 32 e,f, ff. I try to help her with fit but she's my mum, she thinks she knows best haha.
She has 31" under bust, standing bust 35/36" bent over 39/40". A 30FF in Freya unpadded balcony-plunge, 32F in debenhams, 30G M&S with an extender.
I read Izzy's post, seems to be marginally wider with the CHP, I'm swayed towards that.

Hi, girls,
just a quick question – what's wrong with this center gore?
Thank you for your answers
Filed under Bra sizing and fit

A few things actually :) first, it's to wide for your close set boobies. secondly, the cup is probably a tad too smll onyour bigger boob so it's pushing it's wire out, like boobs usually do in cups too small.
It could also be the wire tilt.
You can try bending that wire inward a bit to get it to sit flush.
But if it doesn't bother you whileyou wear it, it'snot a problem really :)
Why not ask as a fit request? Then future users will also be able to know the answer ;)

I have a bra that is the best bra I have tried, I love it. I want to order other color of this model, but, I have shoulder pain in this bra. Is it possible to fix it with an other size ?
If I loose the straps, the cups gaps too much (even with pads), and don't feel supportive. ... If the straps are tightened, the cups are pefect, I have shape and support. The band don't ride up.
Can I order a cup size down, so i can wear the straps more loose without gaping ? I am afraid of quadraboobs, or nipple pointing down, or no lift, or armpit fat. What do you think ?
What should I do ? order a cup size smaller ? order the same size ? don't order this model anymore but continue to try other bras to find something better ?
Thank you very much in advance !

Which bra is it? Maybe you could put up a fit request?
I hesitated to post a fit request or not, because I have altered the bra, so I didn't want to add photos of the altered bra on bratabase .
I will do some new photos of my issue with the straps and post it tomorow or monday in a fitting help; I also re-tried all my bras and realised that I had too much shoulder pression in other bras too. I want to know why !

I have written a long due blog post comparing the differences between Ewa Michalak's CH and CHP. It's not the best and could be much more detailed, but as I still feel fairly knew to getting detailed reviews, you must forgive me.
At one time, I had my hands on both a CH and a CHP. The CHP was a style that did nothing for me and even caused a bit of quadraboob which is a hard feat for my bottom-heavy breasts. ...

Thanks for sharing :)
Just one thing: forgive me if I'm wrong here, but I always thought that CHP was a blend of CH (super-projected) and HP (close-to-chest) ... ?
Wow, those measurement you took in a bra are brilliant. As someone who's into numbers I totally facepalmed myself for not thinking of this earlier, the numbers do say it all and there's no more going by feeling. I think Jj should make this type of measuring available on bratabase! It really says everything!
I do have two questions for you though :)
I've always wondered why you like projection so much but then it occured to me we could be using a same word for different ideas in our heads. So what exactly do you mean by projection and why do you like it so? :)
And I've often wondered about your blog title.. The "but" in the middle always throws me off, it kind of sounds like being voluptuous is a bad thing? O.o

I just noticed that of all the bras I have here on Bratabase, the fitting ones are:
- 30E x 3
- 30F x 2
- 28FF x 2
- 65F x 2
Still I find that my "truest size" is 28F! So the statistics don´t tell the whole truth, unfortunately. Or I´m just too much attached to the idea of 28F...
Let´s explain. Those 30Es ... are 2 x Pour Moi bras and Andorra plunge. The Pour Moi bras fit okay but I must wear them in the middle or the tightest hooks. I definitely would be happier in 28 band. The Andorra plunge I find runs quite tight in the band, at least when it´s new. I find it more like 28 than 30!
The 30Fs are Andorra full cup and Mimi Holliday comfort bra. The Andorra I find tight in the band. as above. For some reason I needed it up a cup "from the usual", don´t know why... Mimi Holliday bras on the other hand run very small in the cups in general and I need to wear this one in the tightest hooks.
The 28FFs are Mimi Holliday comfort bra and Panache sport. Mimi Holliday, as said above, runs small in the cups in general. The Panache sport is a weird one, because one cup size down it felt too small, but there is definitely gaping in the 28FF when I slouch even just a little bit. I don´t know...
The 65Fs are Ewa Michalak PL Eden and CH Lato. EM runs small in the bands in these models. In CHP bras I think 65E would be the right size for me, and then I must "go up a cup" for PL and CH.
I have put on Bratabase some 28F bras and all of them seem to have some slight fit issues which is enough to list them as "doesn´t fit". However, I find that 28 is usually the band size I need, and F cup is better than FF. 28FF is usually too big for me, an exeption being Mimi Holliday, which runs small in the cups. Plus I have altered some 30E bras in the band, so they fit more like 28F, like Masquerade Rhea, and I find them a good fit for me.
So I kind of see myself or my size as 28F which I have to adjust a little in some brands or models... I don´t know if you guys have the same issue?

I think this is fairly common. Measurements put you in one thing, but sizing/shape/construction/bodily peculiarities put you in another -- as we all know there's much more to bra fitting than just the combination of underbust and full-bust measurement (seriously, why isn't breast perimeter used, for example, instead of or in addition to the overly simplified and highly problematic full-bust measurement? It doesn't seem to make any sense to me).
In a world with so much sizing inconsistencies in only one brands models, let alone between diffent brands, "one true bra size" you speek of sounds like an utopia.

Instead if padding the bottom pad the apex or - if you want projection; padd where you are not full, to push the boobs towards the chest. That way you'll have both a fitting and comfortable soft cosy bra. Imagine it in winter; how cosy and warm and nice.
And you could in summer add some Japanese cooling system to them lol.
Anyhow; I do think it's a far easier way than all other alterations I've tried so far

So why was I wearing my bras too high? I got the answer today. One boob is 0.5 cm lower than the other. It's more pointy and way more full on bottom. It now fits the bras better.
One boob is fuller on top, more round and less fat. I used to call it "larger boob". The other is pointy, ... less full on top.
I thought the largest boob would always be the largest. So why would it suddenly gape in S Fresh while smaller fitted so well?
While being so stuck on looking on larger boob smaller boob have been sitting there lower with all that side bottom fat and never got any attention.
How come I didn't notice?! I mean my waist on that side is lower as well, I should have seen it? I should have noticed the fat roll on the sides of that breast, the love handles under the bra band? But no, blind branarchist so stuck on larger boob because smaller boob was pointy.
Edit: smaller boob isn't less glandular. It's just less round. It might even be more glandular.

I'm still confused about how Kris Line sizes compare to UK sizes. I just read at busenfreundinnen.net that they have switched some time ago from their own sizing (between EU and UK) to UK sizing and that a 70H in Kris Line is actually like a 32H in UK brands!?
I really want to to give their bras a ... try. I'm watching a 75J and a 75JJ on ebay. Now if they are really similar to UK 34J or 34JJ then the cups should fit...
Which size do you wear in Kris Line & which size do you wear in UK brands like Cleo, Panache, Freya etc. ?

I have the Kris Line Jasmine Soft Cup in 32FF and my "default" size is 30G. I ordered a band size up because I read that the bands ran tight but I didn't find it tight and probably could have gotten away with a 30G or 30GG. I'm getting a Kris Line Violette Soft Bra (6314) from a user on r/braswap in 30GG so we'll see how that goes.
Other bra sizes I wear: in Cleos I average about a 28GG, my best fitting Deco is a 28G, for Freya's half cup and longline styles I usually wear 30G (but would probably be better of in 28GG). For Ewa Michalak so far: 65G (30G) in the CHP models, 65GG (30GG) for the S models and 70FF (32FF) for the PL models.
Part of why Bratabase exists is actually this, you cannot trust one company doing sizing like another company. The way to go is by measurements because they might match at some point, but their steps to increase sizes might be different. (Like two lines intersecting with different slopes)
From what I've seen in Kris Line labels, they only do one cup sizing independent from country (http://www.bratabase.com/browse/kris-line/size-range/) but I remember hearing that they go by the 2cm instead of 1" jumps.. so that will throw you off to any comparison :S
I think cellosubmarine had some experience with this bras and that they run small in the cup.

Sometimes we get stuck in our self images. "I*m not an hourglass", "my boobs naturally points down", "I cannot have that big boobs".
After all the discussions about FullerFigureFullerBust and me realising our bodies are quite alike, and all the discussions about swooping and scooping our sides as well, on a whim I simply tried putting my bra ... lower and simply start scooping from there instead. Actually what I did was leaning over in 90 degrees and finding that my boobs really start that low. Then I just scooped and swooped.
The result: http://www.bratabase.com/browse/ewa-michalak/s-fresh/75H/pictures/
And trust me that bottom is filled and I'm not nearly as scooped in as I could be. I think I just got myself the perfect cleavage bra

I don't see how it could be possible to wear a bra too high, on my body anyway. My boobs just won't let the bra go up any higher than the bottom of my root/inframmary fold. It could just be something about the way I'm built though. I think my boobs are low on chest, so I always feel like I'm wearing my bras/ bands too low, but that really is where they belong.
O wow, this S style looks amazing on you. And it doesn't show that you wear it low ;) I ordered the S Porselanka in 70JJ. After seeing these pics of yours I can't wait to receive it. How is the center gore? It doesn't look much higher than a PL gore... I ask this, because I know - like me - you are also a bit symmastic ;)

Even thought it's one of my favourite bras, I don't wear my Jasmine that often anymore. Why?
I had issues with empty fabric on bottom & on the side of the cups.
Then I took in the center gore and the side issues got better, but the empty fabric remained.
this was my fit request about it: http://www.bratabase.com/troubleshoot/dhpq9/
When I put ... the bra on, it looks perfect but after some time it just slides down on the front. So then I had the idea to shorten the straps more than the bra allows and then suddenly the bra fits just like it should
Shortening the straps to the max has however caused another problem: I got painful red marks (more severe than the usual) from the straps & had to get the bra off in the evening because I couldn't wear it anymore. I also couldn't barely pull the straps 2 cm away from the shoulders. This means the straps were too tight, weren't they?
So question to the Jasmine fangirls: do you also have similar issues with the bra? Or does it fit you prefectly?

I get the exact same thing in 30jj and shortened the straps to the scarlet colored indent max but then The band rides up from the strain an the weight of my boobs and it cuts of my armpits.
The 30J is better, I don't have to tighten the straps that much to prevent it from sliding down. Bending the wires also helped. I have no idea why it does that, it does seem to have enough space near the wires and the wires are too wide for me in both sizes o.O
So it shouldn't be orange in the glass...
It's not wire tilt either because Lord knows I've bent them..
Maybe its the stretch lace giving enough room for boobs to travel up, it doesn't stop/contain them propperly?
I know it's a long shot but I'm out if theories :(
Vee I really don't know... I don't think I got orange in a glass either...
I think 30JJ is the right size for me in that bra... I wonder how a 30J and a 30K would fit. If 30K fits better then I would know that the 30JJ was actually too small. It difficult to figure out if this bra is too small because the stretch lace does allow even more volume that I need on top!
I don't think 30J however would fit me right (maybe I could wear it) since we know that I'm 2 cup sizes up from you.
"Maybe its the stretch lace giving enough room for boobs to travel up, it doesn't stop/contain them propperly?"
I don't have another explanation than what you wrote... It must have something to do with the strech lace since I never had these issues in any other bra besides Jasmine.
I really want to make it fit!!! The new colors coming out are so beautiful but If it does not fit me right, I can't buy them...:( :( :( and rather invest in more Arizas.

I made a bra adventure about how full on top = top center heavy. I said Cleo is made for that shape.
So the opposite should be bottom side heavy? Are there any bras for that?
Of course there is: Plus size bras. Just look at how Sculptresse present their designs.
"Shaped underband. "For extra comfort embracing your natural contours"
Because ... the fatter we become the more our boobs slopes on the sides and fill out there.
When we talk about migrated breast tissue for some reason we always talks about the top tissue missing and having fat armpits and backs.
But the first thing I realized when I sized up was that my fat roll under the armpit wasn't on top but on bottom and where I get my scoping isn't from my back but from the sides of my stomach. For some strange reason no guides tells us how to swoop and scoop our sides and underbust lines.
The fat on my sides more than fill my hands. Having it outside the cups looks utterly ridiculous and forcing it front and center isn't possible. I don't even know why so few talks about swooping and scooping there. So far the only one I've seen making a serious guide about it is prettyNpetite
But really what's the difference?
Here are the posts by prettyNpetite: http://prettynpetitej.blogspot.se/2013/03/my-boobs-migrated-breast-tissue.html

Quick survey: Does your bra look the same even when changing posture?
On me it doesn't, it. Standing straight I have a good fit, moving even the slightest I get gaping. I don't care about it though, I think it depends on what kind of breast shape and ribcage one has

Same here. When I put my shoulders forward or slouch, I usually get gaping. That is, in unpadded bras.
I take it as just another reason to try to stand and sit up straight.
For me it depends on the bra, really. Today, I'm wearing a Ewa Michalak Chp Stalówka (307) that sure likes to gape a tad when I'm hunched over the computer at work, but is okay if I sit up straight. Yesterday, I was wearing a (new) Kris Line Jasmine Soft Cup which just... stayed filled like magic. Maybe because it's an unpadded bra? My Cleo Zia Balconnet (6851) and Cleo Natasha Balconnet (6841) are like that, too.

alisa and I decided to swap two of our worst fitting bras
And so I got her way too small Bestform 30J - Best Form » Shannon (L763) and I sent her Flirtelle Sublime (FL8001) in 32Hh that was way too large for me.
Wrong sizing aside, both of us were ... conviced that we are sending eachother a crappy bra that would not fit/give a good shape on anyone, so we didit just for kicks.
We both recieved the bras today and the darn things were *almost* spot on!
I'll let alisa write more about flirtelle, but from what I saw - even the shape is quite good!!
As for bestform, the band is riding up like it's a 34, but the cups are a perfect fit!
Mind you, I have neverr had cups that are so much spot on o.O
The shape is matronly though, but still o.O no gapping, no cutting in, boobs contained 100% and wires in the right place! O.o
Another lesson from the school of Don't judge till you try!

My bra fitting is seriously extremely weird with wires tapering all over my front back to my collarbones all the way up to my armpits and high in the middle. It's seriously so super duper weird!
It's what works the best, it really is. Great comfort, great shape! But still it's super duper seriously extremely, absurdly weird!

But..you found something that FITS??? Yea!
@RG I think I rather would say that I realised what I already had and simply concluded it was the best choice. Rather it was about accepting my own right to my own body and my own bra fitting and go for it.
I still do want more alternatives though. I will look into Fantasie, Elomi and I also think I will try Sculptresse.
What made my bras work was tightening the straps to the max. And stop bothering about wrinkling :)
This week I recieved a Cleo Marcie. I really love how it looks so I thought I give it a try at a very low sale price
Now it is not such a bad fit overall but I have some issues with it:
There is some weird in-cup-quadraboob, but no "real quadaboob" since the top section does ... run big and the cup edge does not cut in. Also it is not really visible under a t-shirt:
http://img690.imageshack.us/img690/9973/snapshot201304088.jpg
http://img28.imageshack.us/img28/8554/snapshot201304089.jpg
Now I ask myself if the cup size is too small for me or if this in-cup-qudraboob just happens with the Cleo Marcie?
Another big issue are the shoulder straps. They are too seperated and cut into my shoulders badly, especially the edge of the straps feel razor sharp when cutting in
http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/8414/dvci2773.jpg
I just wish I haven't sold my red Freya Antoinette so I could sew those straps on the bra.
Is there a chance to fix the straps issue?
I just don't want to mess up the bra anymore and also I don't have any extra room in the cups, so I fear that once I alter the straps position, the cups will be too small for me.
So many issues & still I really like that bra... I'm torn between just sell it again or keep it and try to make it work.

It gives you a nice shape. :-)
Maybe it's hard to see in pictures, but I don't see in-cup quadboob, I see seams. Cleo Meg showed seams BAD for me, though the top of the cup was way too big for me because my breasts form more of a shelf on top than a mound. :-/ The seams in the cup were very obvious under any shirt and I tried a smaller cup size, which fit as well as the larger cup, just didn't make a very good shape.
On the straps, would it be easier to move the position on the back instead of on the cup? I've often wondered if just moving them in a little in the back would change the angle enough that they would move in on the shoulders, like a racerback does, and not dig in.
You could tie them together just a bit with a string in the back to test what it does in the front before you cut and sew. I don't know what the back on the Marcie looks like. Does it have that goofy U shape with the straps and band? That might be harder to adjust than the front. :-(
I get in cup quadboob and real quadboob (hexaboob!) in 30HH Marcie, which is clearly too small. I only get in cup quadboob in 30J Marcie, which I think fits me. I think the in cup quadboob is just a fact of the Marcie, since the two fabrics have different elasticities. I also find the straps to be too far apart and razor sharp. It gets better over time, but not really good. But I love the shape, so I put up with it.

Yesterday I watched a documentary film about Lolo Ferrari´s life. I will not comment the sad life she had but I got slightly irritated, when they told what was the size of her boobs. Before the operations: 37D, and after operations: 54J. She looked quite skinny from the beginning, and definitely her underbust didn´t grow... (not that it ever was 37, I don´t think it was).
Filed under Bra sizing and fit
And since when is 37 a band size?
You should post some fit requests so we can help you get it right next time! :)
