This is what someone called it when I said I sometimes have to grab the top of my bra cup and kinda shake my boob back down in to the cup.
So, is this likely caused by a cup that is too small, too shallow, not center-heavy-friendly?

I saw this bra in a 32G, and because most Wacoal t-shirt bras are too small for me in a 32DDD, I tried this 32G, even though I often need a 30 band. This bra fits pretty well, for something I found at a store. I didn't buy it because the cup is shaped weird. It's too FOT and too ... FOB at the same time. The gore tacks, but the root is too high, and the cup cuts in at the seam too sharply, creating a very small, very odd empty bubble at the top of the cup under the seam. Close, but the band is too loose, anyway. Too bad; only $20 and a pretty smoke color.

I gave up on t-shirt bras from Wacoal - they're hopelessly too shallow for me - but as a brand they're widely available though not always in their largest cup size on any band size. Occasionally I'll see a random 32DDDD at Ross/Marshall's/TJ Maxx but to date I've yet to see that on the racks at Kohl's - leading me to wonder how these major discounters of the retail world can wind up with the random stuff if not through buying what's left from orders to mfgs made by the low-to-middle stores where these sizes never make the sales floor?
The major bra mfgs seen on the sales floor here in the U.S. should take note that trying to compete with the "paradise of all t-shirt bras" VS isn't going to work no matter how many racks of t-shirt bras they can fill. If someone wants an ill-fitting low quality t-shirt bra, many of them can get that at one of the many VS locations in malls.
You're right, valentine556. I see these sizes at discount shops, but never Kohl's or Carson's. I actually combed the whole Carson's lingerie department one time looking for a single 32DDD. I found one. It was a b'tempted. I have better luck at my Macy's in terms of sizing, but there I am limited to Wacoal. The unlined can be OK... But there're so ugly on...
Dillard's and Nordstrom are a bit better. They both have Chantelle; Nordstrom has Freya, Betsey Johnson, and Passionata. Dillard's has Le Mystere.
I've actually seen and tried on Wacoal, Natori, and Calvin Klein and DKNY bras in our sizes at Marshall's and TJ's. The DKNY and Calvin were a real surprise. I should've reviewed them.
I actually saw three Panache Porcelain lace bras at Marshalls a few months back on clearance for $10 and bought one for my friend in a 34F.
When you start tracking past time based on bra sizes more than real time.
Ie: "Back when I was a 30G" instead of "Back in August 2012"

How do you lose a bra? How have I lost a bra? I am so dumbfounded. I have a Fortnight Luna in 30F in the ivory/champagne, which fits me best of all my Lunas, but I have not been able to find it in months. I'm pretty lost. I really wanted to wear it this week and have been tearing apart my house. While I've found many things I'd forgotten about, I haven't found that Luna.

You lost your favorite Fortnight Luna?! That's terrible. I've lost plenty of things (mostly my mind). I can't find my white summer dress. Like you, I found lots of other things while searching for the desired object, but I still can't find the white dress.
When I can't find a bra, it's usually because I devised a new, clever way to organize them. My everyday bras retain pride of place in my closet, but those slated for alteration can end up hanging elsewhere, in small boxes on a shelf, in big boxes on the floor, in plastic containers under the bed...

how come bratabase still recommends me cleo marcie 28E and cleo lily 28E even though I have tried them and entered them amongst my bras as does not fit? I have 3 ewa michalak bras entered that do fit yet they only show up at the 40%-20% confidence settings.

Uhm for which measurements did you get recommendations for?
Did you set the marcie and lily as not fitting for those measurements of for other ones?
The site still treats each measurement independently, since it doesn't take consideration of the variations between them, a few cm change can make a bra change from not fitting to fitting.
Also, do your fitting Ewas have measurements? If they don't then they would only participate in one channel but not in the rest so recommendations coming from them will not rank up too high.
Jj is there a way to get rid of an old set of measurements that isn't accurate anymore? It's affecting which bras show as "fit" or not in my profile and I imagine throws off recommendations, and probably users who view my profile looking for bras that have also fit me. Do I have to go through all my old bras that are tied to old measurements and update the fit one by one?
Also, I added a bunch of 32DD VS bras so I could list them on here and I think that affects my recommendations too, because all my current recs would be far too small on me.

I saw a 36DD Cleo Lucy (5851) in bright pink at Goodwill the other day. I didn't pick it up since I don't think there are too many people who wear that size on here. I could go back and get it but I can't guarantee I'll manage to do it in a timely manner. It looked to be in good shape, it was $8 plus tax.

Well I found out why I haven't received my Ewa bras, they were returned! I don't know why. They emailed me a picture of the package and my address looks correct (zip code was in a different spot, but I think that's just how their system does it). I offered my extended zip code just in case but she said ... their system doesn't allow for that long of a code. So they're going to try sending it again. I'm so bummed! I hope it works the second time.
In other bra news, I bought a magenta Cleo Lily off eBay, so I now own every colorway. It's a sister size down, so I'm wondering how the 30 band will feel. My 32's aren't crazy firm, and I couldn't find any 32FF's, so I thought what the hell.
Speaking of what the hell, I ordered a Deco Vibe, should arrive tomorrow. It's been ages since I've tried a Deco, and although I doubt it will fit, my curiosity got the better of me. Hopefully this one will tell me once and for all if that bra works for me or not.

I've noticed that people always describe vertical seamed half cup bras as shallow and wide. I don't understand what makes half cup bras shallow or wide. Does it have to do with the type of seaming the bra has?

I dont think it actually does, so that always confuses me too. I mean, a wider/shallower bra is just a bra thats shaped more like a ) than a U (if the parenthesis was laying down). So a shallower bra in the same cup size would fit a breast that is more spread out, and a narrower bra would fit a breast which is more sticking-out, even if the 2 breasts have the same volume.
But it may be that the kind of bras that use vertical seams are generally shaped differently? But to me it looks rather like a balconette without the top panel. I have no idea - they dont come in my size like that anyways, and I prefer more coverage. I'm not trying to advertise my bod, I just want to be held up high and reasonably comfortable
Not all halfcups are shallow and wide. Ewa Michalak's HM bras, for example, have narrow wires.
I guess it's just the general way in which bras are constructed - halfcups have low coverage, so they have to provide support by keeping the boob tissue close to the chest. This is easier when the cups are wide and shallow (and slightly small).
Plunges and balconettes have different amounts of coverage and also work differently.
Also, it's often said as a rule of thumb that plunges don't work for wide root shallow boobs. While this is true in most cases, there are several exceptions, such as the OnlyHer or Ewa Michalak plunges.
I think it just depends on the manufacturer, and their ways of designing bras, and almost every "this kind of bra fits for that shape" rule has some exceptions, if you take a closer look at it.

So I was looking at my Fox News app. There was a post with over 100 pictures of the "Best and Worst Beach bodies". Yes most got best because they have flat and toned bodies but when your boobs are falling out of your top, it's cutting in causing quadboobing all over, or the top is so small it only covers your nipples I don't you should get " Best body". You should be refereed to the closest bra crazy person for help....

I really want to thank the Bratabase community for advising me through an ordeal with Wellfitting. I followed the advice of a few members and posted on their Facebook wall, which finally resulted in a response after almost a month of silence. They are sending me the second bra and temporarily refunded my PayPal account. If I decide to keep ... the size, I can resend the money.
It turns out that there was a manufacturing change in the fabric and they were sorting that out. I honestly wish they could have kept me in the loop regarding that issue. In fact, I suggested that they tell customers about these types of issues in the future so we know what is going on! Thanks for the update! I'm glad you got a response. It sounds like maybe they had a lot of customers affected by this one issue and don't have a robust enough system to make sure they caught and responded to all the queries. When you rely purely on human attentiveness to track and respond to hundreds of emails on the same topic there is a really high rate of error. I had a job once where we had no automated system to track that and despite our best efforts, we missed tons of queries. They should probably take care of that because it will only get tougher as their business grows (Which I'm sure they want).
Oh goooooooood! I am very glad that you finally heard from them! Its really not okay what happened though. You should have been informed that something was going on! Thats only logical rather than leaving a customer with no info and freaking out over what could possibly be happening! I still think you deserve a little discount for all your troubles though! :(
So I got 2 bras in the mail today, only one of which I was expecting - the other was an overseas shipment that took a total of only 8 days including a holiday to get here, so I was so freakin excited. They're both Masquerades and both truly beautiful... and neither is really a good fit. I'll ... get reviews up in a bit but one's a 28 band that's a bit tight, another is a 30 band that's too big, both fit my smaller boob and both quad on my bigger boob. I'm just really let down, and they both fit so weirdly I can't even really determine what the real issues are, and can't decide if I'll end up keeping either of them

Yesterday Ewa Michalak announced that they will be expanding their range up to bands 58 and up to P cups 58:23
They made an error and claimed that they'll be making up to band 140, but that's a 60 band so I'm not sure if they will be making up to 135(58) or up to 140(60).
Also, ... who cares about vowels! so because it looked weird to her eyes they will skip O cups, so they go N -NN - P. (Remember this when someone asks why there is no O cups). Who's to say they are wrong anyway.
I updated the size range for the brand to show their huge table for a theoretical total of 432 sizes!

That's a truly impressive size range!
To be fair, I think that O is possibly the most confusing letter to have as a cup size, as an 'O' looks very similar, if not identical to a '0', which shows up a lot in European sizing. I guess there wouldn't be any actual overlap, but it may not be immediately apparent which size is meant. 70OO would probably look a lot like 7,000 at a glance, which is a mighty confusing thing to have on your bra tag.
Besides if we know one thing from spending time around here, it's that companies do what they feel like when it comes to sizing.

I have gained some weight and boobage and need to experiment a bit up from my 36J/38HH range. I am wondering what sizes you would be looking for in trade? I don't have any Polish but have an assortment in 36HH,38HH and one Cleo Kali in 38J. I am in Northern California.

I've never tried Cleos because I've been sized out of them bandwise, so I'm not sure.
I have the best luck with styles that feature stretch lace in the upper panel of the cups (Panache Jasmine/Envy/Chi Chi and Elomi Valentina/Jocelyn/Edie/Lexi). In those styles I wear a 38HH, though those Panache styles require an extender for me. I'm really more of a 40 except with stretchy Elomi bands.
In styles that do not feature stretch lace upper panels, it's proving difficult for me to get the right shape. I usually have to size up to J or JJ to avoid quadding, but I usually run into other shape issues with larger cups :-/

Just got mine 2 days ago - ebay. Fits a bit worse then 32HH - Panache » Jasmine Balconnet Bra (6951) : the day starts with some gaping on top, but there's a bit of weird boob escape on the top by the end of the day on one side. Still, love the projection and the lift :)
audrytec I got mine from eBay just a couple of days ago as well. Now I need more than one! It's the best fitting/most comfortable unpadded bra I've had in a long time. :) I had Jasmine before and did not like it at all. I just ordered a 30J Lily since I couldn't find another 32HH anywhere, so hopefully the band won't be too tight.

Have no idea, but following. I find myself doing this way more than s&s'ing. In fact, I don't have much to scoop n swoop in any of my current bras. When I put them on, while leaning over, and stand up, all my tissue is in there. Is that a good or bad thing?
I do this often in finicky bras. It's a result of being center heavy and the bra cup not being tall enough and/or gore not being strong enough to keep your breast from falling toward each other. Going up a cup size if possible can help get more coverage to keep the boobs in. Also styles with more depth than width help (less shallow cups)
