Laser cut bands?
I asked this question a long time ago, but now a lot of people on Facebook want to know. What are the bras that have laser cut or seamless bands? Or even bands that don't have elastic on the bottom?

This gallery doesnt work for me unless I right-click and open-in-new-tab on the arrow. and honestly, there's not a single thing in their I'd be tempted to wear, and a few were slightly disturbing. Still, sort of interesting. I esp love Madonna's last pic in there - motherhood really changes the way we see our breasts, IMO

Why do they keep growing >
And why can't I post this in all caps to express my frustration

Because it's not nice to yell at people online!
That aside, boobs grow because that's what an individual's genetics dictate, not that such information is likely to be at all comforting but it is what it is. Perhaps it would help looking at it as...your boobs could keep growing *or* you could develop a hunch rivaling that of Quasimodo - so from my perspective bigger boobs would be the better of the two. :)
valentine556: oy! Only *you* would think of that as a possibility! And I'm pretty sure the OP is aware of the power of genetics. She's only expressing her frustration with her body that refuses to do and be what she wants, just as with most of us.

I order another bra. Err, a few. Got my hands on a 65L Comexim Joy (379) that fits like a 75J (super weird right?). Then tonight I was browsing Amazon (they sent me an email about a lipstick I was looking at) and saw that the Curvy Kate Temptress Plunge Bra (SG2811) was marked ... down. Which led to adding the set to my cart. Then amazons little 'you should buy this too' bot showed that the Carmen was marked down too, so I added that. I may be sending them back if they don't fit (had to get the 32H instead of GG but I think I've put on a little weight/grown) but seriously...I'm well on my way to trying on ALL THE BRAS if not actually keeping them all. I need a second job

Consider it a community service and let me know if they don't fit;)
Will do! I do feel like my purchases (even when they're failures) make a difference because the measurements and fit info may help someone else. And with Prime, why not? :)

I was going to the gym with my boyfriend and his friend (who I am good friends with) and my boyfriend said "you should probably get a sports bra". I explained that I don't have one because getting one in my size would run me $60 and I don't work out enough to justify it. So the friend goes, "you ... can't get one in your size? What size are you?" so I say 28G. He's of course shocked, so I begin to explain the whole difference between underbust and bust measurements, etc.
Then he says, "that's crazy, [his girlfriend's name] is a 32DD, and she's not that much smaller than you", so I explain that she's probably just been shoved into the smallest band size and largest cup size they have. I then obviously go on a rant about how most women are measured wrong, meanwhile he's furiously texting away. I go, "wow, you're really interested in this, this isn't even going into shape and such" and he of course wanted to know everything about shape. So I ended up explaining all the intricacies of bra fitting to my friend while he tried to repeat everything to his girlfriend. The girlfriend and I are pretty good friends so I offered to fit her if she wanted. All in all it was pretty satisfying, especially explaining that DD doesn't mean porn star boobs

Does anyone else find the criss-cross lace in the band of Lepel's Fiore bras to be itchy? The lace leaves itchy marks on my skin when I take my bra off at the end of the day. I'm wearing a 30B on the tightest hook and I measure to be a 26D.

So. I mailed a 32D bra I've worn once to a friend with page-long instructions on how to determine a proper fit. I have several bras listed here and on eBay. My "favorites," "watched items," and "wish list" are growing daily. I'm rummaging through my house looking for anything I can sell to fund my perfect bra quest. I have a problem. I need braholics anonymous.

I just thought a few people may want to know that 75KK is now on the menu for their new BM and S style bras. I'll be placing an order today because I've always felt that the BM bras I have tried might have been too small which is why I get weird issues. Tagging ohmyohmy, Ereshiy and alisa just so you guys are aware of the option in the future

I've actually ordered the BM Koronkowy in that size (first time she does a BM in a 75KK, S styles are available up to 75LL and sister sizes even if they're not in the menu) two weeks ago when there was a promotion, but I haven't heard back yet and the order status is still "awaiting supply". My order was on March 30th.
ohmyohmy "Awaiting supply" just means that they're sewing the bra for you. It's one of those things that seems lost in translation...

I'm in my 30s and had worn ill fitting bras like decades And, I tried to lose weight then failed many times.. As a result I have extremely soft breast tissue.
When I wear a bra, whatever the bra is, my breast tissue tends to escape from the cups or slide down like liquid. What is ... worse, I'm in the between size hell!
(Oh, did I mention that my boobs have grown from 34g to 34hh/j?......... come on!)
Now, I'm desperately looking for 'a' bra that fits me and don't make my boobs escaped from it, and keep failing again and again. Panache Ariza 34J is best so far, when it comes to that the breasts stay at where they're supposed to be, but it is uncomfortably small, but not too small to go a size up. When I wear it, I feel like being locked and the bra goes down too Its wide gore is also not suitable for my close, center heavy breasts.
I also tried Elsa 34J because I heard it is quite similar to Ariza, but more projected than Ariza. To the conclusion, Elsa also doesn't fit, it is quite comfortable to wear though. It is 'really slightly' big for me, so if I go a size down, it fits like Ariza. However, since it is still big, I can't get enough support from it. To the bigger boob it seems ok, but the smaller one was swimming in the cup.
I'm frustrated with my too soft and big breasts and the journey for finding 'a' fitted bra. What more can I do I feel just not painful when I'm wearing a bra? (This doesn't mean that I feel comfortable when I'm not wearing a bra. It's also hurtful too.)
By the way, is there anyone knows how long it usually takes to get a international delivery from Brastop? Brastop charged me almost $25 for the international delivery because they send items via 'Recoreded Delivery'. I ordered bras a week ago, and they are not delivered yet. I thought they charged a lot more than other shops such as Figleaves..etc (they usually charge me about $10.) , the parcel would be delivered much sooner. (I usually can get my parcels in a week after ordering them.) Yep, I was wrong. Cost is not related with the delivery speed.....

You're in the same bra hell that a few of us are. I recommend checking out what me, alisa and Ereshiy wear (can't link on my phone). The most suited bras to us are Polish bras. Some of us also wear Bravissimo and very specific Panache styles. It's taken most of us a year or more to get even that much information so I hope you'll take advantage of our bra databases.
Sometimes (but not always) it helps to do a fit request on a bra you have - sometimes we can SEE the problem better than you can explain it, plus we can see the numbers

After trying basically all the options, I gave up the search a year or so ago for a seamless bra to wear with t-shirts. But with summer coming around again, I'm curious if any of the brands have introduced anything good lately? (I'm about a 30G.) Back when I gave up the search, I had tried all the usuals... Panache, ... Cleo, and of course the Deco, which is too plunge for me and also uncomfortable where it sits under my boobs. Everything more or less seemed to have the same problems.... cups too wide and too shallow (orange in a glass). I wear Ewa "S" style bras everyday (which is basically my perfect fit) so ideally I'd like something very similar to that...except seamless. Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?

I think Curvy Kate has a few.
I have exactly the same problem. I have tried the CK ones as well, but they are usually to closed and far apart in the cup for me. Why is it so hard to find a good seamless nude bra? Anyway, just want to follow this thread. You aren't alone, though!

Is there a way to search the entire bratabase database by measurements? I see where I can search listings, but not the entire "inventory" on here. I'm finding the cup width (especially!) and depth is what I'm looking for, and the actual tagged size varies by brand, anywhere from a 28/FF/G to 30E/F depending on how tight the ... band runs. Personally, I'd search this way - and get a list of varying brands, styles, and their corresponding size - than by size and picking through individual bra measurements. I'm finding it difficult to find a cup wide enough (~6") that isn't too deep/big all over.
Edited to add: I'll be listing several 32DD's and one 32DDD on here shortly!

otoh, there are so many discontinued bras - i find it easier to find what is for sale in my size first, and then look to see its measurements.
I totally get that and I do that... but I'm searching 3 or 4 sizes and not having much luck with ones that I think will be wide enough. Thought it would be handy to search the entire bratabase site by measurements and see which bras and styles fall into those ranges and then go hunt on other websites too if needed, sometimes I can find a sale :)

Maybe a 28J
Hahaha yeah no. I mean, sure, maybe 32FF was what she was wearing, but we can see from the photos how that was [not] working out.
I'm glad for her that she recovered from the last operation that left her with septic wounds. YIKES.

I stopped by my favorite local bra shop last Friday (http://www.bragarden.com) to help two other girls get their first proper bra fitting. I had no idea beforehand, but it turned out that they were having a Panache and Cleo Swim "trunk show" with a Panache rep on site that day!
The Panache ... rep had brought along with her one of each of the current line of bikini tops and one of each of the bottoms. There was only one of each, but they were all the same size. I managed to get seriously lucky in that all the tops were a 32E, which is more-or-less my size in Cleo swimwear, which meant I could easily try stuff on.
A couple of things that I noted, in case anyone is considering any of these tops:
-First, I think I was surprised by how many of them I liked in person! I generally hate swimsuit shopping, and a lot of them that I would never have ordered based on the photos online looked great when I saw them or tried them on.
-The Panache swim bands seem to be juuuust a tiny bit more loose than the Cleo swim bands. I mostly tried on bandeau-style tops, and while both fit, the Cleos were almost too tight on me, while the Panache bands were a pretty perfect fit.
-The Cleo Betty Bandeau top has a ruffle across the top. I thought it stuck out a lot, rather than laying down.
-I thought the fit of the Leena balconet top was surprisingly great. It's obviously based on Juna, so I thought the fit would be difficult since Juna is so finicky. The Leena doesn't have that little flap of lace that the Juna has though, and I think that flap of lace is what makes the fit weird with Juna. The Leena fit me so well that I almost ordered one, but told myself that I'm probably a little old for heart prints.
-The Cleo Lucille Bandeau top is actually a different shape than the Lucille Bandeaus of previous years. The model that I saw in the store does not look like the one pictured on the Cleo website. The print is the same, but the one on the Cleo website looks like the same shape as last year's Lucille. This is last year's Lucille
http://www.twoja-bielizna.com.pl/upload/lucille1.jpg
The one I saw in the store had a more exaggerated "sweetheart" shape, with the cups coming up rounder at the top and the gore lower in the center. The shape of the one in the store matches more closely with this Lucille (I think from 2013?)
http://images.herroom.com/items/cleo-by-panache-panc01-cw0063-gsz.jpg
I had the new one side by side with one from last year, and they were definitely a different shape. The Panache rep even mentioned that the cups came up higher on the one for this year, so it wasn't all in my head. It was a special pre-production version, so it's possible that the final version is more like the photo on the website?
I didn't go in there to shop for myself at all, but I ended up placing an order for the purple Panache Marina Bandeau, which I NEVER would have picked out from a website. I don't even like purple, but it looked really good on me, and won me over.
The only other thing I can think of that was noteworthy is that at some point I said to the Panache rep "Please, please tell them we need longer straps on the Cleo bras!" She was surprised and said she had never heard before that the straps were too short on the Cleos, at which point it was my turn to be surprised since Cleo's short straps are pretty well known around here. I'm only 5'3" and even with the straps as long as they can go, they're still so short that they hurt me.

I love bra garden! That was where I went after my first attempt at buying the right size from Nordstrom; Bra Garden has a better selection in a wider range of price points, so it was a pleasant surprise finding a small business/boutique like that when I was expecting something more along the lines of "Intimacy" near South Coast Plaza.
I need to drop by there sometime soonish for bras, I haven't needed any swimwear other than my boring basic one piece for years. The thought of trying on two piece bathing suits is making me want to hide under my desk - they never look quite right on me.
About 2 weeks ago I wrote an adventure here about Swimwear in my size range (K-cups and above). Since brastop had another 15% off offer I decided to just jump in and give the 36K - Curvy Kate » Luau Love Tankini (CS1906) a try! I received it this week and and it's not that bad actually. I ... expected much worse. Also the bra is not padded. I never had a tankini before, but I think Luau Love is as good as it gets.
Good news for all those at the end of the size range or a bit above like me: the band runs tight and the cups generous. I usually need a 34 band and KK or L cups depending on brand but I can get away with the 36K here.
It is quite supportive so far. I wore it for a short time (10mins) and then for 1 hour again for extended trial. It feels quite supportive. The bra underneath fits like some regular bra, also gives me the typical shape CK bras usually give me The band does lots of support, but the shoulder straps do barely none. They are stretchy. So it's a bit of a different feeling compared to a regular bra. I feel that my boobs are properly supported when it comes to the "wire area" but at the top section there is less support. (If that makes sense? ) Also the gore is a bit lower than on my Balconettes, the bra is a plunge style I guess (lower gore). There is quite some cleavage on show. I think it's okay on swimwear but I would not like it on a regular bra (where support is my nr.1 priority).
I think I should keep it? Does it fit like it is supposed to? (I never had a properly sized tankini before) I kinda doubt that I find something much better since there isn't much choice in the size range anyway... (Bravissimo tankinis or Panache Veronica swimsuit or other CK stuff)
Talking about other CK swimwear... I'm sooo in love with this Bikini: http://www.brastop.com/curvy-kate-starry-eyed-padded-bikini-flamingo Ohhh I love pink & black and the print is tooooo cute!
They should make this as a tankini too, I'd so buy it!

I'm no swimwear expert, but to me this looks really good on you.
Oh wow, that looks great on you! My only tankini experience has also come from Curvy Kate (34HH - Curvy Kate » Paradise Tankini (CS5006) -- I had it in red and turquoise) and I was quite happy. I only ever wore them a couple of times, but they functioned quite well. I never actually went full-on swimming in mine, but the support was fantastic for just sitting in a rubber tube floating down a river. :) I didn't like the shape mine gave when I pulled up the tankini, but I thought it looked fine when the tankini was down in its regular position (it's not like I was going to be pulling it up while wearing it, ya know?) Most girls (around here, anyway) don't wear wired or bra-sized swimsuits, so there's all kinds of smooshed boob shapes at the pool or river. I definitely had the most support of anyone around me! lol (well, and the biggest boobs, but that's beside the point.)
You could always try to switch out the straps for something less stretchy if you think it'll help with support. You could even get a cheap black bra from a department store if you don't want to chop up one you already have. :) You could attach them underneath your already existing straps so you don't have to cut the tankini at all, maybe? Ooh, you could even get straps of a different color (like pink!) to add some fun color. Okay, I'll stop now. :)
Oh, I agree with your lust for that bikini above -- it's so cute! That would make for a nice tankini. CurvyWordy recently posted some Curvy Kate bikini pics from her vacation, so I hope she ends up reviewing the ones she wore. They looked fantastic on her.

Maybe this was shared already but I came across this. I'm happy because this lady is actually really curvy!

Yay!!! I'm happy too!
Ohh she wears a 32JJ! So awesome! Finally a model in "our" size range :) (the J+ size range is so under-represented)
I know right?! I'm kind of hoping it may help them pay more attention to our range and make more people aware/used to seeing bras on actually large busted models. Normally even if we see large cup bras, they're on like D cup women you know?
I may have to give CK another chance to fill in my "not too bad" bra section, I haven't tried them in a few seasons.

Just was checking out the site and noticed that a lady who looked like her or perhaps is her judging by her expressions was modelling off her bras which I thought was pretty cool if it is here. I've only ever seen one pic of her so I wouldn't know for sure.

You say: "I've been wearing a 34h(UK) and I've gained weight, I think I need 36H or 36HH." They hear "bring out that one 40F. Then a few other 38s and make sure they're matronly and make her give up hope until the very end in hopes she'll buy a $120 36GG just because it fits better than the rest". -_- no

I try to give as little backstory as possible and just ask to see "anything you have in size X and Y." My Teacher Death Glare is also very helpful in letting sales assistants know I mean business.
We all get this at some shops. It's lots of trial and error, but after death glaring my share of shop clerks, I found my local lingerie heaven that is literally the opposite. 'This size.' 'Unlined, or moulded?' And then they give me a box to dig through to my heart's content. I wish everyone was so lucky to have such a shop within driving distance.

When I got a mail order last night and both items fit! Masquerade Antoinette pretty much perfectly, and Curvy Kate Dita quite well, although I may need to sister size up. I've no idea how fast the band will stretch. Will have to wear it for a few hours and decide.
May you too get something you ordered that fits! This business is tricky!

faustineli, it is high time you got some good bra karma! Aren't you the one doing all those giveaways? I'm very happy the Masquerade Antoinette is a perfect fit and the Curvy Kate Dita a pretty good one!
I'm having problems using the contact us page. Is it working for everyone else? Also, if anyone has an alternative way to contact Jj that would be awesome!
Thanks
