Sometimes life amuses me. I've been helping a friend get the first 'real bras' for her 14 year old daughter, and we went to the shops today to pick out some things for her to try out. I haven't had a chance to measure her yet, but we were getting bras around 32B/C and 30C/D, which I suspect is about ... her correct size (and if it's not and we have to get super difficult to find 28 band bras, I'll have to cross that bridge when I get there).
Anyway, we were looking at some bras in Trade Secret, and my friend asked for bras around the sizes that I mentioned. The shop assistant asked 'Oh, is it for your daughter?' and looked at me and smiled, as though I was the person we were shopping for. I laughed and pointed at my breasts. She then looked down and back up a few times and did a total double take.
I don't think that anyone has ever thought that I would need a 32B before. I had larger breasts (and a far smaller back but I didn't know any better at the time), than that when I went for my first 'real bra'. I've decided to take it as an odd compliment.
