• I wouldn't worry about it! Adding an extender is much easier than altering a band or Rixie clipping it. Do you have good extenders on standby? I try to keep 3-4 in my drawer because I lose them periodically. Just make sure they don't have the little elasticated section of doom in the middle--and that the hook and eye spacing and number of rows is the same as the bra(s) you will use them for.

• Have you tried the elastic type extenders? They may work better and eliminate the need for two.

  An example:

  Also, while I do understand the desire, it would be difficult to have a front extender, as it would greatly widen the gore instead of extending the back band where it's generally need.
  

• @MamaPagan: I do use the elastic extenders, and depending on the BRAND MAKER I still need to use two.

  As for the "front hook" bras, the clasps "dig into" the cleavage area, and please do not say I need a "bigger band", I have tried those and they were extremely loose fitting and very uncomfortable.

  I have also experienced that a larger band size on me does not fit properly, and a smaller band size HURTS by digging into the skin to the point of "bleeding", hence the bra extenders.

  I wish I knew how to use a sewing machine, I would rather make my own custom made bras rather than trying to buy them via online or at stores.

I don't know why, but this whole thing really bugs me. Earlier in the week they posted a comparison between a 65GG and the 80D on this same model and it just sounded really condescending all over.

It is true that when I purchased an 80 band it fit me like this... for about 3 wears. After that it just kept ... stretching out more and more and now even on the tightest band it is just simply too loose. Same with a 75 band. I would like to wear bras I paid good money for for longer than a month, hopefully.
As a matter of fact, my Fluo is 70FF and after 2 wears it's already loose enough where it's perfect. I don't even feel the band on me. But now I'm all doubtful about it... are my cups carrying the weight or is it the band... am I doing it wrong? I just have an additional order for 4 more bras all in the 70FF size... did I waste a ton of money on them?

• If this bugs you, you must have missed the whole "Strapgate" from a few years back. Ewa did an offensive video post towards an American blogger who moved her straps in. To Ewa, all American & UK women wear their bands too tight out of vanity. This created an outrage and to react, Ewa stopped making 60 bands altogether for well over a year (at least in the larger cup range, not sure if she cut them off in the M/3D etc smaller cup range.) You can still find the whole ordeal on Google if you want to read/see it.

  Long story short, Ewa is Ewa, fickle and finicky, easily insulted and knows all in regards to how her bras should fit. We may not agree but tend to remain silent as we want more of her bras!! Addictions are a terrible thing. :-/

  My tight underbust is 24.75" (62.87cm)
  Loose is 26.75" (67.95cm) so her calculator puts me in a 65 band. Her 60 bands stretch to over 28" upon arrival and require the tightest hookset without much support from the beginning. Yet at a 42" overbust, I don't have any better option, or honestly outside of Comexim, any other option. And Ewa bras are still the best fitting bras I have ever worn regardless of size, so even with my complaints, I am still happy.

• I saw the photo comparison too. I think Ewa is mocking how women like to wear their bands too tight and cups too large like in strapgate. However, I think she measures the underbust really tightly, like literally break the tape. A person on Bratabase with 80cm would probably choose a 70, not a 65. But idk. In all honestly a persons body is personal and the way they decide their bra to fit should be their own choice. My underbust is like 60cm super tight. I have found usually her 60 bands are fine. Some 65s are fine and sometimes I need 55. More recently I need 55 because of how much larger the bands are running, more “true to size” in comparison to UK bras. With her analogy l’d probably be squeezing into 45 or 50! Rather ridiculous. Maybe personally I’d put the model in 70-75 depending on how the band ran.
  Do you feel 70FF is really uncomfortable I guess with really wide set straps, nasty underwire markings at the end of the day? Keep in mind the straps are just rather far apart on her bras, especially as the cups get larger and larger. If not then you should be perfectly fine! Don’t feel bad about how you like your bra to fit and what size you choose to wear.

Laundry day!

I realized that I am overdue for bra washing so I've got 4 on the drying rack in my spare room now. I had hoped to be able to wash in a machine with lingerie bags, but then I read the eucalan directions to bypass the rinse cycle, which I can't do in my condo's laundry room, so I'm washing ... in my sink like Noah gathering animals for the ark...2 by 2 (keeping the like colours together and such). Does anyone else have laundromat style washing machines that have very few settings or custom options that they still use for washing multiple bras? If so, can you tell me what you are doing for your washing routine?

**Picture is all but the first two (Ewas) which were already on the rack...then of course I have to wash the one that I have on now because I wear it a lot even though it's a tiny bit small.**

• A good way to "clean" your bras that doesn't involve hand washing or machine washing is to buy a priter bottle and fill it with vodka or similar alcohol (NOT rubbing alcohol, that has something weird in it)that evaporated really well.
  I used to do this with my corsets all the time. I would take it off, hang it up and spritz the inside with vodka and the vodka kills bacteria, eats the oil and then evaporates away.
  I need to buy ones of those molded lingerie laundry containers that MamaPagan had linked us too a long time ago...
  but then even still in my apartment complex my washer as 3 options on it. "COLD, COLD," "WARM, COLD," and "HOT, HOT." Those are my three options for using the washer here. x.x

• What is a priter bottle? That sounds interesting and a fast way to clean them. I’m curious about the one she has now, since you mentioned it. I don’t think I have seen it. My machines have cold, warm, hot that you can mix with delicates, permanent press, and normal. So, sooome options, but minimal flexibility.

• brasaremean did you purchase anything on there? Or anyone else? I got overcharged due to what seems like a technical glitch... If someone else has had this issue I would like to know--would you mind checking your bank/credit card site to tell me if you experienced the same problem as me? I placed an order very early this morning US time, in US dollars, and was prompted to make a payment for the amount displayed as my total in US dollars. But when consulting my credit card account later today, I see I was charged for a much higher amount--basically the site erroneously charged me for an amount equivalent to GBP109.54 (over US$140...) instead of my accurate purchase total of US$109.54. I messaged them about it today, but obviously if they do not have staff working on the weekend I do not expect to hear back until the beginning of the week. Also I don't know if this glitch was the reason, but I attempted unsuccessfully to pay with PayPal at least 3x before giving up and using the card.

• Yeah, its always handy to have a bra thats slightly too big for this reason. but then you end up gaining weight and thats the only one that fits at all. or maybe thats just me.

• Well, first what did you not like about the Wonderbra Ultimate Strapless?
  Knowing what you didn't like about that one will help me/us to figure out where to go/look from there.
  Most strapless bras are molded, padded, wide and shallow with firm, wide, bands. So generally speaking if you can't give yourself some leeway in terms of fit, you will likely never be happy with a strapless bra. As you see many of the women on this site just don't wear strapless bras.
  There are many restraints to making strapless bras, they unfortunately can't be magically the same as our strapped bras or else they'd likely just flop down or be very unattractive. But then there is always the bandeau style which can have alot more leeway due to tube-top like elastic along the top.

• Yup, am fully prepared for strapless to not fit perfectly! I had a Palmers strapless ages ago and while the fit wasn't perfect it was passable and held without the straps (no sliding etc), and it was enough.

  The Wonderbra... It just felt... unnatural. Like very stiff cardboard. It was very uncomfortable tbh. Not issues with fit exactly (maybe I don't remember, this was a couple years ago), but just the bra itself was my issue.

• I have not tried Avocado personally but thought I'd add some info to help. Avocado does their sizing a bit different, with 4cm increments instead of the 2cm Comexim or 2.5cm of Ewa. Also, their band calculator states to take your tight UB then minus 5 and choose the closest size so you may need a smaller band than normal.

• I can't help with a comparison since our profiles are so different and I don't have an Ewa. Yet. But I just received my first Avocado, the Silk Gardenia, and I absolutely love it. The quality seems to be excellent and the bra has an extremely luxurious appearance and feel. It has a fine delicate looking mesh that feels very strong, sturdy, and supportive. The matching panties are perfect also. If you buy the one you are talking about, like it, and want to buy more, the Polish website, http://avocado.com.pl/ has English translation and an "e shop" that accepts PayPal. Shipping was about 12 Euros and they gave me a USPS tracking number which worked both here in the US and in Poland. Took about 10 days to get here. I am now an Avocado fan big time. • I'm not sure how many of us are in the UK, but I think there are some. Many of us that are odd sizes end up buying bras on line, tho I thought the UK had better selection in general, in higher end shops?

  But my first thought was - sports bras - they usually run pretty small, so you could try a sports bra in a 30 b and see if that fits.

  My second thought was - if she's so athletic, does she actually WANT pretty bras? or would she be happy only wearing sports bras?

• Nice! I've ordered this twice and both times it was out of stock but still listed on Lazeme website. Lame.

• Both EBay and Amazon have several great deals on multi packs. That's where I get my panties from typically.

• I'm with Mama here, Amazon. You want cheap, decent quality panties? Amazon is your way to go.
  I usually end up at wal-mart, but I prefer buying the single panties that are usually double the price because they look so much nicer. I also prefer the "sports" panties, like Dan Skin and what not because of the lovely material and seamlessness.

• If you like the design of this bra, Ewa Michalalak has a few models which are similar, and they're usually good quality and not scratchy. For projected and tall roots EM should work, but for more detailed help regarding the fit maybe some other ladies can help more :)

• It’s been said that her bands can be all over the place, but that generally speaking, the lace covered ones stretch less than the non lace covered ones. I’m going to say that cup size can vary with the cut as well as material. You might have to size up cups on padded bras, but you might have to go up even with unpadded. If you are comfortable with your measurements, you might want to check out the feedback on some styles that you are interested in. I’m a 30F ish and can wear 65F/FF or 70E/F. HTH

• Thank you! That's really helpful. I know I am asking the unanswerable, but there are enough Ewa people out there that some info there and some info here will really help. Ewa's are expensive enough to consider an investment, so I want to be armed with as much info as possible before I decide and order.

• Yes, for me the lying-down perimeter is a very close approximation of the optimal cup depth. In other size ranges it can be further off the mark (well and also for very ample busts it can be a hard measurement to take in the first place)! But it is often a decent rule of thumb.

• It is actually crazy that it's a thing! Of course, I can see how it can sometimes be an exception.
